I brought my kids on opening day. It was packed (which I expected!) but even my 7 year old son said "the line is moving quicker than I expected!" The staff was friendly and busy. The food portions were what I expected, and the food tasted as it should. We got a burrito, tacos, chips, guacamole, and lemonades. My kids have already been asking to go back.

As i went in for my lunch break around 12 noon, i expected it to be busy. But i didnt imagined to get there and the lobby being a mess, manager (Evelyn) did not care to send someone to clean the lobby, wipe the tables, or refill the aguas frescas or to even at least get someone to help the lady that was handling the drive thru. Poor lady was left alone to handle alot of oders and while i heard her a couple times call out for help, she was told there was no one to help her. She was all on her own. She was making orders, packing orders, and having to get the drinks from the lobby, since the drink station in the drive thru wasnt working. She was running back and forth to get things done. I didnt mind waiting on my order, it was overwhelming seeing how evelyn just stood there and kept telling everyone to (not move) dont know why, but that lady obviously needed help. I stood there and waited for my order and saw that Evelyn was just on her phone the whole time, the other ladys working the line were also needing to get more food, but were also told not to move. The poor grill guy, was left alone with both lines calling out for food, and he also didnt have any help at all. Evelyn needs to be removed from her position as she does not know how to manage a store obviously. Chipotle needs to do better, and have enough employees to help each other out, i have never seen something like this before at any other chipotles ive ever been. Great job to the ladys working tho, expecially the one on drive thru, she was super nice, apologized for the time she took to get my order, and had exceptional customer service. Not like Evelyn, horrible attitude, on her phone, tolling her eyes when asked to send someone to clean the tables, dancing while everyone else was rushing to get things done. Do better chipotle, get better staff to run this restaurant.

My kids and I went on the second day they were open! There was a line but it went quickly. Every staff member we interacted with was so kind, despite the huge influx of customers! I witnessed a staff member doing quality checks, which is greatly appreciated. The food was absolutely amazing - fresh, delicious, and exactly the Chipotle I’ve been missing after recently moving to Bastrop!

UPDATE: We gave it another try and after 2 positive visits I can say everything changed. The first visit Sidloly helped us and was super nice and good at her job. The next time they were super busy and everyone working was efficient and the space being cleaned constantly. The food has always been good! And the music was tuned to typical Chipotle music. Seems like they got a better manager and I’m so happy bc this is one of my favorite restaurants for fast food. If you ever want to be transported to Mexico just stop by this Chipotle for the authentic experience. Mexican music greets your ears as you enter the through the front door, all the way from the kitchen. Every table is filthy, the workers talk to each other in Spanish until you have enough and say “Hola” 3 times till it gets their attention and they return to their job of servicing customers. They are out of grilled onions, chips, napkins, lids, lemonade (all of their “fresh”drinks actually). Filthy counter and the trash bin/collection table for treys, etc is turned around backwards and unable to be used. I wanted to love my favorite fast food restaurant coming to Bastrop and although the food was good, the service was sub par to say the least. Confused patrons tried to help each other find things like napkins, etc, all mumbling about how crazy this was. What kind of Mexican restaurant runs out of chips!?

We just got a Chipotle in Bastrop! This is the culinary equivalent of getting a Target and a stop light in the same year. Let’s not scare them off with precision meat math on day one. My bowl was great. Staff was hustling, trying to wrap burritos. They’re figuring it out. Let’s not run them out of town with a 1-star before they’ve even figured out where the sacred meat scale is hiding

I love the chain of these restaurants, it's very tasty, you can eat quickly and inexpensively. I really liked this restaurant, the girl used sanitizers before serving food, which is very good, the parking lot is large - there is a place to park the car. I recommend 👍

The employee behind the counter asked the most difficult question of my day: “White rice or brown rice?” I panicked and said “both.” Bold move, but no regrets. Then came the guac moment. They told me, “Guac is extra.” I looked them dead in the eye and said, “So am I.” The burrito artist smiled — respect was earned. When I took that first bite, the heavens opened. Angels didn’t sing, but my taste buds did. The burrito was so perfectly wrapped it could’ve survived a 5.0 earthquake. Halfway through, I questioned my life choices, not because I was full, but because I was already sad thinking about the burrito ending. 10/10 — would emotionally bond with another burrito again. 🌯✨

I travel alot and always stop at my favorite to-go Chipotles. Staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. I am on a weight loss mission and the ingredients here are very "calorie and protein friendly". It took me years to eat at Chipotle. Now, its a must have at least once or twice a week.

I'm really glad there's a Chipotle in Bastrop now so I just ordered online a burrito and a bowl for my wife and I. No major complaints other than having to wait 7-8 more minutes over the scheduled time for pickup and the girl at the window didn't seem very friendly. That said, the food was really good! They got all the details of all ingredients right and it tasted exactly like Chipotle should taste. I'm not anal-retentive enough to go weighing the meat but the portion seemed fine.

Flavor is always great, but the service seems to be lacking a bit. Last time I got chips and queso, but they only gave me the chips. This time I got the queso! But they forgot the chips. There was also three pieces of chicken in my taco (literally). This Chipotle just opened and needs to step it up a bit.

When this restaurant first opened, you got a lot more food than you do. Now. It's very disappointing, especially because of the price. The staff are always great.But for the amount of food you get, it's not worth it

First Chipotle to be nearby. I missed Chipotle because I used to get it all the time in my home state but there wasn't one nearby La Grange. My order turned out good, but there were a few problems that stood out to me here. Firstly, the lady didn't give me very much rice so I had to ask her for another scoop. I thought that wasn't really a problem because more people will ask for more rice and she'll learn that way. I asked for carnitas on the side, and she scraped off the bottom of the container for it. It was pretty stale and was barely warm. They should replace the food containers before it gets to that point. People don't want the scraps at the bottom. I also noticed that for having so many workers, it was really chaotic in there. Maybe have less people that can communicate better to be more efficient? Then there won't be so many employees talking over each other and getting in each others' way. Also, there weren't any napkins at the soda fountain and it took a while for one employee to find some for me.

Mobile ordering is NOT worth it. I ordered ahead and went through the drive through for pick up. I was in that line for 30 minutes with 4 cars in front of me. That slow a pace is unacceptable for a fast food joint. I would have cancelled my order if that were an option in the app. Could have gone to Chick Fil A in the same shopping center and been in and out in 5 minutes. Heck, I'm sure the actual Mexican restaurant across the highway would have had my food ready in 10 minutes. In addition, the queso I ordered was absent in my burrito bowl. I will not be returning. Come back in a month or two when the kinks hopefully get evened out. This location is new, but this is ridiculous.

The meat was not a good quality and freshness was lacking. The side of guacamole was just thrown in the trash. It had way to much lime added to hide the fact it was not fresh. You will have to get better to have repeat customer's.

We picked up 3 orders to go. 3 crunchy Barbacoa tacos w/ beans, salsa, and guac, a chicken, steak, burrito, w/beans and rice, and a double chicken burrito w/beans. The crunchy tacos came inside a container with a lid, similar to a salad. When it was opened, the steam and moisture from all the bean juice that the tacos were swimming in had caused everything to completely turn to moosh and fall apart. The chicken/steak burrito was partially un-rolled and left open, resulting in half of it being awkwardly cold. It was not eaten.

This place has one of the best apps for fast food restaurants in Bastrop county. They were amazing they did a fantastic job. Just wish the food quality was a little bit better

I got the steak bowl. The rice and beans and pico de gallo, guacamole and salsa we're all great. The steak however was gristely and pretty much inedible. For about half the pieces I would chew and chew and chew and wound up spitting it out into a napkin. Extremely overpriced considering it was inedible.

Do not go to this store.Thinking it's going to be like every other Chipotle.You've ever been to the portion sizes are very small. It's like they're trying to save money on rice or something. Which is? Strange since they had a line out the door and I had to wait twenty five minutes to get served. I'm sure the food is good and tastes like every other chipotle. Most people go. To Chipotle, because it tastes good and also because it's the one place you can go to and know they're not gonna be stin. G. not this one.

Excited when Chipotle came to Bastrop, but this location is a letdown. Portions are tiny for the price, employees are rude, and most of the time they’re on their phones instead of helping customers. Definitely not the experience you expect from Chipotle.

One of the worse run chipotles around. Been here a few times and they’ve run out of basic things like chicken. Employees don’t seem to care, they give skimpy portions, and I’ve stopped ordering burritos because none of them can close them properly.

Got the carne guisada and other items for a taco. The meat was cold, Luke warm at best. My wife got a bowl and found a hair in it. Been to other locations which were much better.

This Chipotle is truly such a disappointment. Ordering in person inside is okay, but ordering online is a joke.They are stealing from you with online orders. If you get sauces or queso on the side the container is only half full or less than half full. If you order “extra” for anything, you will not get it even if you paid for extra. In fact you will get even less than a normal serving. I have ordered extra meat and received even less than a single serving of meat. The rice is less than 1/2 a cup barely covering the bottom of the bowl. I ordered extra fajita veggies and I kid you not there was literally barely 1 TBLS. of veggies in my bowl. I ordered extra corn salsa and extra lettuce as well and literally maybe a tablespoon of corn salsa as well and barely a 1/4 cup lettuce. My bowl should have been almost overflowing with all the extras I added and PAID FOR and it was barely even to the top of the bowl. This Chipotle is a disgrace to Bastrop. Don’t waste your time or money here 🤓

For the most part I use the mobile app and drive thru. I can count on 1 hand how many times they’ve gotten my orders correct out of at least the last 15 orders. It seems like they always miss something or mess something up with the mobile orders which is so frustrating bc it’s literally reading what the customer ordered and putting exactly what you just read into an order. It shouldn’t be that difficult. For example, today I ordered a bowl and burrito both with the corn salsa, neither item had the corn salsa in it. And then I ordered (and paid extra) for double meat, it was the bare minimum. The bowl had the butt ends of red onions completely burnt black thrown into it and only about 6 black beans. I understand the food industry is hard and whatever else but this is my money I’m spending on it that I too work hard for so it would be nice if I get what I pay for. If I was the owner or GM I would be mortified with how my company is operating. Do better chipotle!!

The place was clean and the line moved at a decent pace but as another reviewer mentioned they skimp on the portion sizes. I got a steak bowl and you have to ask for more rice more beans more everything to get the normal portion you would get at the Austin or Katy locations all while the employees all look miserable to be there. The chips and guac were also not as fresh or similar tasting to other locations. For the price your better off going to a sit down local restaurant.

It’s chipotle. Foods almost always good. Tonight, I received chips that were so stale, it felt like I was chewing on plastic. Kinda wack, and since all of the employees are still in or fresh out of high school, there is almost no customer service. You can literally feel how much they want to go home. Kinda sucks. There’s no fine attention to detail but can you blame them? They’re kids, get little to no money and probably working their butts off, and probably used some old chips to finish the order. Something needs to change, and there needs to be a standard that is met every day. I know you guys can do it.

On the weekends they don't have food,no white rice I ask for a cup of water ,and then she charged me for a bottle,and I didn't even ask for a refund and she called another lady to make me the refund and the lady took forever ever and even called a guy because she couldn't do it,and then I asked for my chips that I paid for it and she was asking the other person did she pay for chips 2 times, she never gave me the cup for water, really bad attitude,and they don't even handle your receipt I have to ask for it.

Absolute Trash! Place was filthy. Tables were not being serviced after each use. Drink bar was an mess. Zero customer service. Was treated as an inconvenience not a paying customer. I should have listened to others about the portion size. Spent almost $60 for us to leave hungry. I do not recommend and won't return. Corporate needs to spend some time at this location to get things in order.

The tables were dirty, they were out of guacamole but saw that they were prepping to go orders with guac. Did not offer to ask if I wanted to wait. They had no intention of making more. The trash cans next to the soda machine were full, they were completely out of fresh lemonades at 8pm on a Friday night 08/01/25. I am new to Bastrop and this was my first time here. I have no desire to come back.

This is the 3rd time at this location and this has to be the worst chipotle in the entire franchise chain. They are always out of product and the staff has zero leadership. Tables are dirty and overall restaurant is unkept.

The staff are great, but they are always understaffed. The fault is clearly with management, franchise owner, and corporate. Clearly, these folks are under hiring just to squeeze margin. Your incompetence is quite blatant and I take it personally

We order throw the chipotle app for pickup. Just a burrito, a bowl, and a chips& queso. My bowl was wrong I asked for extra meat and paid the additional $6 for it and they hardly gave me enough for a single portion. They added a bunch of stuff I never requested on the bowl like guacamole and pico (both I don’t like at all) and I can’t eat because it makes me sick. So I called and they sent us to an automated message to just say do it through the app. They even had a sticker on the top of my bowl staying what’s supposed to be in there and they added other things not listed. They are clearly not verifying orders. Also they took 40 min to complete the order per the app which is fine because I know it’s new. But I get to the restaurant at my designated time and they then send a message saying it will be long and I wait another 30min. They never updated the app saying it would take longer until I got there. Overall horrible experience. Plus all the food was so cold.

This chipotle has been absolutely filthy every time I have been, bathrooms not clean, staff unfriendly, trash overflowing, flies on the food, and it looks like you are stepping into a 3rd world country. I used to love Chipotle! Never again until they fix this location.

Want to start this by saying I went there on their grand opening 5/22/25 so I understand staff isn't trained that well yet and I will change this review if they change. I ordered a bowl and got 1.2oz of meat. The reason i know this is because when i got home i weighed it. While i was there I asked the girl after she put the meat in if that's all she was going to put in and she said yes it's only supposed to be 4oz. I didn't want to cause a scene so I accepted my meatless fate, paid and went home. Im hoping by giving this review, management will see this and train the employees on the correct portion of meat. Leaving with a quarter of the meat i paid for feels awful. I will change my review if the next couple times I get the normal amount.

Took the wife here the other day was really shocked when she showed me the bill was $36. Extra charges for the new meat they have. $4.95 charge for a spoonful of Quc? $3.95 extra charge for the new steak meat? Could have had a steak at Texas Roadhouse, rolls, Salad and a drink for less than this. Will not be having Chipotle again. Place was filthy. People standing around when they could have been sweeping the floors or wiping down tables or the drink machine.

Health concern. The person rolling up the burrito or adding the cheese (by hand) is the same person taking payment - they do not switch gloves, take off gloves or anything and go back to attend next customer. Cleanliness is an issue - all the way around.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. They don’t serve the food properly and treat customers as if our money doesn’t matter at all. What’s worse is that they ignore people who are actually waiting in line and instead serve anyone who walks in. There is no organization whatsoever. On top of that, the restaurant is dirty, which is unacceptable for a place that serves food. This was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be coming back.

At approximately 6:45pm on 10/29/25, I go to the counter there is someone in front of me so I wait behind him. Someone else comes in and goes in front of me and he's more to the right of the customer that's in front of me. The female worker with glasses rudely says "The line doesn't start there, it starts here" and letting the other customer cut me. Needless to say I was literally going in there for a veggie burrito and just left feeling disrespected. The female worker needs to watch what she says and how she says it and take a class in customer service.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and everything tasted dry and seemed old. When I asked the manager, who was also checking me out, for a receipt showing my completed payment, he refused and would only provide the ‘balance due’ slip. I explained that I needed the full payment receipt to submit to my job, but he was unhelpful and displayed a poor attitude from the start. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

Second visit: is way worse. I ordered chicken tacos. The chicken was cold, grisly and under seasoned. I asked for light sour cream but the employee just kept heaping it on because she doesn't speak English. And every table in the place is dirty. Never again! First visit: The line was long, but it's new so there is a lot of demand. The workers seemed a little frantic, but kept it together. The only suggestion I would give is to have a staff member doing the changing out of empty pans with full ones for the service line until they get a flow going. Staff were polite, the portions correct and the food was good. We'll be back.

Been stiffed twice on double meat burritos. They repeatedly give very little meat unless I go in and watch them make it. The good is good when done right. Location is small but cute and usually clean.

Me and my friend went to chipotle for the BOGO entree deal and we checked out and got all the way to the car realizing they charged us both for everything when it was supposed to be buy one get one. When we went back inside the girl said “we can’t do anything about it. we can’t refund you. you have to tell us that you’re here for the BOGO” but she was right there when we were talking to the two other staff members about the deal. and we asked ‘so there’s absolutely NOTHING that can be done?’ and she called a guy over I believe his name was Angel and he was like “no there’s nothing you can do. we tell you the prices before you pay.” and we went back and forth with this dude for like 5 mins and he ended up giving us a free chips and 2 drinks. ALSO THEY WERE OUT OF LIKE EVERYTHING, steak, queso, guacamole, dressing. all of it. this chipotle sucks. people are rude. they all flirt with the guys. do not recommend

Arrived at the New Chipotle today for a late lunch. No one in line and 1 person already being checked out. This is what we encountered from the employee. Not once did she bother to look up or acknowledge us standing there. As you can see I was able to take the time to pull my phone out and photograph our experience before another employee came to help. Once she came to the line. Not only did we get an attitude while ordering. Once we sat down we watched all other staff continue to work as she stood near the stove and ate her food and sipped on her drink watching everyone else work. I’m highly disappointed in this particular employee for her lack of work ethic. Other than her. The rest of the staff were great and friendly.

Managers have to realize that people want smiling faces and positive interaction. This place has neither. Just tired of the horrible customer service. Love chipotle but this one really stinks in that category. Food is middle of the road. Do better!!!

The guy starting the order didn't mention anything about it, and only said he was kinda zoned out tonight. Then the heavy set girl working the register and non vegetable area pops an attitude and says this is all we have and then puts an over excessive amount of hotsauce on the burrito. Bastrop is going downhill with these new spots. I mean what can you expect from fast food.

I’ve given this Chipotle multiple chances—three visits now—and every time they’re out of something essential. One time it’s rice, another it’s meat, and today they were out of burrito wrappers. The chips are always stale, so we don’t even bother ordering them anymore. It’s honestly ridiculous how often this location runs out of basic ingredients. Definitely one of the worst Chipotle experiences around—this place needs serious management attention.
