Way better than average amusement park food. I was amazed by the pão de queijo, like if you have tried some really good ones at places like Fogo de Chão, the cheese bread itself offered at Jungle Navigation is a 7-8 out of 10. What really makes it stand out, and IMO even better than the Fogo de Chão, is the green, creamy garlic sauce. Genius. Whoever came up with the recipe for this sauce has my gratitude. Also, the cachapas are lovely, different flavors balanced well in my mouth.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom. From start to finish, everything was exceptional, but a huge shoutout goes to Skipper Megan, who took care of us throughout our three-week journey. She was truly amazing—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable—making each visit feel personal and special. She’s the kind of cast member who elevates a great meal into a memorable experience. The food was outstanding across the board. We enjoyed the Tiradito de Tuna, which was fresh and vibrant, the Falls Family Falafel with perfectly balanced seasoning, and the Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak, cooked just right and packed with flavor. The Curried Vegetable Crew Stew was rich and comforting, while Nile Nellie’s Noodle Bowl was light, savory, and delicious. The drinks complemented the meal perfectly. We ordered a bottle of Graham Beck Brut Rosé from South Africa, which paired beautifully with the dishes, and the Coconut-Mango Cocktail was refreshing and tropical—an excellent choice. Between the unique menu, exceptional food, and outstanding service from Skipper Megan, Skipper Canteen became one of our favorite dining experiences in the park. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

Skipper Canteen was one of the best dining experiences we had in Magic Kingdom. I ordered the grilled hanger steak with fries, and the steak itself was excellent—perfectly cooked medium rare and full of flavor. The fries with grilled peppers were just okay; mashed potatoes would have been a better pairing in my opinion. I also sampled what my family ordered, and everything impressed. The duck was cooked beautifully, with the skin crisped just right, and the fried rice that came with it was outstanding. The breaded chicken was also very good—crispy, flavorful, and paired nicely with the white rice and salad mix on the side. I tried the Jungle Bird cocktail as well, which was just average. It had a bit too much ice and leaned more bitter than sweet for my taste. Overall, the food quality here really stands out and was easily one of the best meals we had in Magic Kingdom. I’d absolutely recommend Skipper Canteen if you’re looking for a memorable sit-down dining experience in the park.

We got the cachapas and the fish of the day. Both were SOOOO good, fish was super juicy and tender. The cachapas were also so delicious and we really recommend them!! You definitely need to book a reservation in advance, but it’s totally worth it. Our server was also incredibly kind. Atmosphere is very jungle ish and old looking, so spot on with the name.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Lots of details in the decor and the servers play into the jungle cruise theme. The cachapas and the fried rice were my favorite, but everything was still delicious. We went today and order the three main dishes, a salad, and drinks. The food was amazing and delicious, and servers was as expected far and beyond. The steak, fried chicken, and fish were tender and tasted really good. Overall, a great experience!

Loved they were able to grill the chicken instead of frying! It was delicious, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The pickled vegetables added a nice pop of acidity and crunch too. The service was great, and my food arrived quickly (and hot!!) Definitely would come back!

I just discovered this restaurant and I’m so glad I did! The ambiance was incredible, and the service was absolutely fantastic. And let me tell you about the food - it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to order a tuna appetizer and it was a delightful surprise! The stew was also tasty and generous in portion size - it was like dining at a 3-star restaurant. The price was also quite reasonable for the quality of the food. The decor was also very fun and inviting. I personally think this place is a much better choice than those quick-service restaurants that serve burgers and fries. Oh kids meal looked so great and it comes with a drink and dessert. Yum!

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen is a great place to eat in Magic Kingdom. The food is a delicious change from typical park fare, and the fun theming and humor from the Jungle Cruise skippers make for a fantastic atmosphere. It's a wonderful spot for a sit-down meal with some unique and tasty options.

Seated in the “Butterfly Booth” which is the best table. Seats 4-5. The pork chop was exceptional.

Really great atmosphere and fast service. The food on the menu looked fairly similar but the actual flavors were completely different. Perfect for dinner after a long day of Disney. Definitely order the cheese bread, it's not on the menu but it's not to be missed.

This is another awesome place to eat and drink in the Magic Kingdom! Atmosphere and service was awesome. Our server, Summer, was in character and extremely funny. The drinks were very unique and awesome 👌. Again, this place is for adults and older kids.

We had a really delicious meal here. The duck fried rice and the lomo saltado were great, as were the falafel balls as an appetizer. For context: we've visited Magic Kingdom probably 5 times across the last decade and this was the best meal quality we've experienced in any prior dining experience at a Disney park. It does feel like Disney has upped it's game on meal quality and I think the prices were quite reasonable. Didn't feel like we were being gouged. Others may feel differently but that's my take. Service was solid, friendly and fast. Appreciated that given it was nice to be able to stop in and eat and then bounce for more attractions. Would definitely come here again.

To say I liked it is an understatement. We arrived at our reservation time and were apologized for being a bit delayed, about 20 minutes. However, they called us back within 10 minutes. Once inside, the waitress's service was excellent, and the dishes are exquisite. It's absolutely worth making a reservation here. Now I'm afraid to go to Magic Kingdom, eat at another restaurant, and find out it won't meet my expectations, since this place set them too high.

Must go- The absolute best restaurant in all of Disney! The Falls Family Falafel was perfectly cooked with a thin crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside. The Curried Vegetable Crew Stew is the BEST MEAL I have ever had in my life. Every component of it was incredible- the tofu, which I don’t usually even like, that tasted like pineapplely chicken nuggets, the curry, the vegetables, the rice, and the naan- and they all complemented each other perfectly. The Perkins Thai Noodles were also delicious and wonderfully prepared. I cannot recommend Skipper Canteen enough!

My new favorite restaurant in the Magic Kingdom! DFB guide had been recommending this one for so long and we finally had a chance to try it because all the dining reservations were full elsewhere. I'm so glad we ate there. Recommend the Sustainable Fish, the Kungaloosh!, And secret menu item Pão de Queijo, or cheese bread appetizer. The sustainable fish was divine. I loved everything about it. The Kungaloosh was decadent and the banana on the side was the perfect pairing. The cheese bread was fun because I hadn't had it with the chimichuri sauce before. Nice pairing there, too! The open air room is way better, but take a peek inside the other rooms too! The decor and theming is detailed and amazing. There is a prerecorded voice that comes from the rooms above you in the main hall, but I couldn't really understand what they were saying. It was still so fun!

Skipper Canteen is a restaurant in Magic Kingdom that is based off the attraction next door, Jungle Cruise. This restaurant serves Asian, African, and Latin food. Our service did have a little bit of humor; and served us in a timely manner. The food here is some of the best I’ve had in Magic Kingdom. Our appetizers, the Brazilian cheese balls, we’re very good accompanied with the sauces. The falafel didn’t disappoint as well. The chicken platter was a little dense, but was okay and accompanied well with the sauce and rice. Overall, Skipper Canteen is arguably the best table service restaurant in Magic Kingdom! Would recommend getting a reservation.

I had the Cachapas and Dan Dan Noodles, both were delicious, but the menu was a bit pricey. They have a wonderful Brazilian cheese bread appetizer that's not listed on the menu--ask for it! The service was good and the decor was intriguing.

Had dinner here today and was delighted by the decor and the service. The restaurant has a very electic group of rooms with a large array of "artifacts" to grab your attention. As long as yo uh have a reservation you'll get in quickly, otherwise you might have quite the wait! I had the whole fried fish which was phenomenal! Most of the fish was surprisingly devoid of bones and it was cooked to perfection. The only note i might make is to have less kimchee and more rice instead with the dish. Overall great experience and I'd recommend it to any who wants to try something off the beaten path in Magic Kingdom!

I love it! I made a reservation a couple days before my visit and I think Jungle Navigation is one of the best restaurants in Magic Kingdom! It’s located in Adventureland. When you walk straight through Adventureland, you will see that there’s like this cute “waiting area“ which has a really cool, comfy jungle style. The staff was so incredibly friendly, you really feel that they love they’re job and put so much time and affection in their work to keep this magical feeling inside the Disney Parks. The food quality is very high, my fav dish is the chicken (“Tastes like chicken, because it is“). It‘s super crunchy and delicious! The falafel and the Brazilian cheese bread are both gorgeous!! A big thank you to all of you, guys! You’re doing great!

We made dinner reservation here and truly loved the food so much! I tried a hot tea - mango green tea and it was great! Our server was so funny and great with service. The decor and setup gives jungle vibes and is a delight. Desserts were great too. Looking forward to returning sometime soon.

We have been at Disney for 12 days and diligently been eating our Walmart packed lunches. So for our final day in Magic Kingdom we wanted a treat. My wife is Vegan and we’ve found it hard to find places that do vegetarian let alone vegan, so finding this little gem was amazing. Hidden in the middle of adventure land we got a lovely table in the main dining hall. The starters were so nice we both decided to have two (I had the shrimp and pork rice and cachapas she had falafel and salad). Our son had mac and cheese. Everything about this place was amazing… no French fries or help yourself coke vending machines. I was happy to leave a tip - thank you

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Even on a Friday night, less than an hour wait for walk up around 6. Once we were seated, service and atmosphere was great. Food quality was awesome. Prices were definitely fair for the unique offerings and freshness of the food. We will be back!

Everytime we come to Disney World we have to come here. It's a fun dining experience and the food is always delicious. The menu is all gluten free aside from one item! That makes it such a great place for me. The jokes and atmosphere are what make this place so much fun. If you love the Jungle Cruise, you have to eat here. If you ever got to see the old adventurer's club, than you have to come here as it has some of the old nostalgic fun.

This was 1 of 3 sit down dinners we reserved for our week stay the last week of June. All of the restaurants have a small menu but enough of a variety so there’s always something for everyone. We were 2 adults and 2 teens (16). My son is 6’3” while his twin sister is 5’3”. He eats twice the amount and that worked out well as my dtr rarely finished her meals. He picked up where she left off. That being said, the rest of us felt the portions were enough. We got 2 of the cachapas apps and they were outstanding. The entrees we ordered were thai noodles- probably soupier than expected but still tasty. Hangar steak- cooked medium rare and outstanding flavor. Siu Pork- my son devoured it! Short rib- my husband said it was sooo good. Cooked perfectly. We were seated in the back room which was quieter than the main open room. The interior is decorated nicely for the theme. We would definitely return.

I don’t usually expect much from the restaurants in Magic Kingdom but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The atmosphere is (expectedly) that of the jungle navigation cruise, down to the server cracking jokes and using bad puns (which I love). The seafood stew was really good and I’d order it again. The desserts were delicious

I had been trying to get an ADR here for years and finally I lucked out. After hearing wonderful things, this place lived up to the hype. The white sangria is still living rent free in my brain after 2 months. I'm slightly obsessed with sangria now. Having celiac disease, I was happy to see a lot on the menu that I could eat. The "tastes like chicken" was fantastic. I had the gluten-free dessert, which was tart and refreshing. I will definitely be back

Best restaurant I went to in Magic Kingdom. Lots of unique options and was very impressed with the selection and presentation. Fried chicken is very elevated and there were corn arepas which was the highlight of the experience. Recommend fried rice as appetizer. Dessert very flavorful with subtle hints.

It was nice to sit down in the beautifully decorated restaurant for lunch when we visited in July. They made you feel you were really dining in a canteen in an adventurous jungle (with AC for sure). Online reservation was recommended, and the check in process was smooth. Food was really good, and the staff was really friendly. Also, it was not too expensive for a restaurant in the Disney World.

I didn’t get to dine in all restaurants across the Magic Kingdom, although I checked their menus. But in my opinion, this is the best restaurant inside the park by far. Starting from the service to the menu offered, all food here was super tasty and superb. We were delighted to find Brazilian cheese bread as one of the appetizers and it really looks like the ones made in Brazil.

I dined at Skippers Canteen for the first time recently and I can only highly recommend it. Our waiter was awesome, the food hit the spot, and the restaurant itself was a fun environment. The food was very well done and tasted great. You can tell your food isn’t a Cisco type meal replicated easily anywhere else in Disney and prepared by a kitchen staff in house. The pork chop and skirt steak were amazing.

G

Amazing! The service and ambiance were great. All the food was delicious and I was so impressed. Whatever the sustainable fish broth is was amazing. It was the perfect dish after eating heavy earlier in the day! People who say that it was overpriced, I disagree with you. $75 for 2 people which included 2 dishes with seafood is not bad at all and the same prices if not cheaper back home. $15 appetizer with so many shrimp! My fish was $32 which is VERY reasonable, the fish was huge. The Dan Dan noodles were very filling too and were $28.

So fun! Amazing food! The hangar steak was so good and super tender and the shrimp noodles were to die for! Secret menu item: Brazilian cheese bread! DO IT! good portion sizes. Reasonable prices. Fun dry comedy from the servers.

I want to premise this review and say that I am reviewing this and all Disney sit down restaurants with the perspective that Disney restaurants are meant to serve to the masses, so there's an element of "pre-made and distribute" that is very different than my traditional reviews. Meaning it's on a lower bell curve scale than most restaurants I visit and review. Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, this restaurant is by far THE BEST sit down restaurant we've visited at the Disney Parks as Season Pass holders and Disney Vacation Owners. There's a bit of 'Asian Fusion' as the spirit of the themed restaurant is based off of the Jungle Cruise ride which is located just across the way. Typical with Disney magic, the restaurant and the cast members remain in character with the famous Jungle Cruise ride (and movie) - complete with lame, corny (but hilariously funny) jokes from the staff. I have the say, the food was the best class of food available at Disney Parks so far. Obviously different/better than the typical hot dog and hamburgers normally offered, but definitely better than all of the sit down upper scale Disney restaurants that we've tried. The braised ribs were my favorite - super tender and well prepared - excellent flavor. I will also add, that this is the only place (that I know of) on the Magic Kingdom property that serves alcohol. No wonder it's so difficult to get a reservation!!! You must reserve on the Disney app as you're reserving your day at Disney. I'll top this off with the Service - we had Captain Jackie, and she was the best! I was there for my daughters 7 yo bday along with her 8 yo cousin, and we got the royal birthday treatment complete with Lava cake - we lava some lava cake!

My fiancé and I went to the Skipper Canteen based on some reviews we saw on YouTube and it was fantastic! This restaurant is located next to the Sunshine Tree Terrace snack hut and near the Jungle Cruise. The atmosphere was casual with a jungle adventurer vibe perfect for the Adventureland location, the menu has a variety of African, Asian, and Latin dishes. We ordered the Brazilian cheese bread, the Baa Baa Lamb Chop, and the Jungle Green Salad. Since we had to leave early for our queue for Tron, we decided to share a meal. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. And it seems to be the most exotic menu for those who are a fan of spice and amplified flavor. The lamb shanks were perfectly cooked at medium rare (the chef preference), however you will be asked your preference. I would say going to medium would be fine before losing the quality of the shank. The lamb is encrusted with a Moroccan spice rub that has pepper, paprika, and cinnamon flavor served with a spicy harissa paste and potato, onion, cauliflower lemon herb sauce. The Jungle Salad had field greens, radishes, cucumbers, pistachios, shishito peppers and a yummy slightly spicy Aji pepper yogurt dressing. The spicy peppers are offset with the cool yogurt dressing and had a variety of flavors making it a unique take on a side salad. The “secret menu” Brazilian cheese bread (Pao de Queijo) is a savory addictive cheese bread served with a cilantro chimichurri cheese sauce. Yumm We didn’t get a chance to get dessert, but did have an orange cream float at the Sunshine Tree Terrace and that was also amazing!

This is a definitely hidden gem within Magic Kingdom. Its a play on the Jungle Cruise ride with a lot of the same bad dad jokes. The menu is pretty solid and all the cast members have been fantastic each time we've gone. They have a gluten free fried chicken which has great reviews. I do recommend that if you get it ask for the sauce on the side as it is an acquired taste by experience where I like it and my wife doesn't. You can definitely sub in another sauce such as the sweet and sour my wife likes. The Brazilian cheese bread is great and you may want extra of the cream cheese dip. The Thai noodles are great and they will sub in chicken instead of tofu. Lastly you should try the kungaloosh desert. It is fantastic!

(Nov 2023) Number 1, hands down, best table-service in Magic Kingdom. We were so happy to get this reservation! And it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and the touches of decor are really interesting to look at. Dinner was wonderful and surprisingly generous in portion. I had the "Hardy Har Char" Siu Pork and it was amazing! I ate it so slowly just to enjoy it longer! Also pictured are the kid's steak and the Dr Falls Signature Steak. Dessert included the Kungaloosh! and the Congo Lime Delight. EDIT (Sept 2024) I got to go back!! Ah, what a great dining option within Magic Kingdom! They are often few and far between at this park! This time, I decided to have the Dr Falls Signature Grilled Steak. The steak was served at the perfect temperature to match my request of medium rare. The veggies and aioli were super flavorful! I ordered a drink, the Sunset Margarita that sang with the flavors of the smoky chili! So refreshing. For desert, you cant go wrong with the Kungaloosh! a dense rich cake with the tastiest caramelized banana. I love the food at this restaurant as much as the fun atmosphere. I hope to come back soon.

We decided to try the Skipper Cantina for dinner after a day in the Magic Kingdom and found it was a wonderful extension of the Jungle Cruise. The puns were funny, but nothing like the cruise, as those are the original! The food was really good, but difficult to choose from, as they all looked tasty. For the food, we started with the Brazilian cheese bread and the Cachapas. They were both amazing! The cheese bread with the chimichurri sauce was great and the Cachapas with the salsa was delicious. For the entrées, I got the Hardy Har Char Siu Pork and my wife got the Senagal Sal's Short Rib. We both enjoyed them, but wish there was a bit more. The portions for her were great, but I'm a bigger guy and like to eat! That was not a deal breaker though. Overall, we will definitely be back!

Outstanding! The service was fun, the food was delicious, and the setting is exactly what has belonged in Adventureland for a long time. We enjoyed the falafel appetizer, the chicken, the noodles, and a creamy lemon dessert. If you’ve got the time to take a long break and savor an experience, you’ll really like this place!

This place was really amazing. Our waiter was very kind and funny. The food was so good. My family had the It taste like chicken because it is lol and I had the lamb chops. The chicken came with rice and the lamb chops came with potatoes and cauliflower. The food was just delicious. The dessert was just as good too. I really enjoyed my Jungle Cruise experience here.

Excellent food and service in a very special atmosphere. Sit in the smaller map room, very nice. Lamb chops are great, as were the bread and cheese balls and pulled pork on corn meal pancakes. One of the best in Disney.

I hadn't been to this restaurant since I was a child, it was fun to return as it brought back many memories. We dined here last night prior to the Not Scary Halloween party and it was perfect. The server was great and the punny jokes were fantastic. We enjoyed ordering off the secret menu and my husband loved all of the adventurer club decor including the fake door of library books. The food was amazing and the experience was wonderful. Thanks Disney :)

This dining experience was the highlight of our Disney trip. Our server was great, the jokes flowed well and she still did a great job taking care of us. We started with the fried rice and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken entree and I ordered the noodle bowl. The chicken dish is very simple, fried with rice and the sauce was fantastic (we ordered it on the side). The noodle bowl had a light a fresh feel, the unique herbs added a lemon flavor and was just what I was looking for. Generous servings! Even though we were seated in a large, full room, we were at a small table by a window so it felt less crowded. The only thing I would change is the temperature. Yes, it was August in Florida. But it was uncomfortably cold after about 10 minutes, and did take away from the dining experience.

Excellent themed restaurant! The food and service here was amazing. We really enjoyed the fried chicken dish and the noodle dish, there was also a “secret” bread appetizer which was really good. The servers are all funny and have a bunch of fun dialogue. Would highly recommend getting a reservation here!

Restaurant version of the Jungle Cruise. Great fun, great atmosphere, hokey "dad" jokes, great service, great food. Period. I've eaten here four times already and each meal was better than the previous one, the last one being the duck with rice - it was AMAZING! I love how immersive the experience was too! Don't forget to order the pao di quiejo - too delicious to pass up!

This was a delicious lunch choice I'm glad we finally gave it a try. The service was exceptional and our server was funny, I enjoy interacting with people that have personalities. The food was surprisingly good. It was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband had the lamb and he couldn't stop raving about it. I had the skirt steak and I love the flavour of well charred beef fat. This isn't the best place for a picky eater but if you're interested in trying something new this would be a great place to start.

We came for dinner yesterday and looooved the food here! The noodles were my favorite! The chicken and pork were delicious as well! Our kids loved the cake that comes with the kids meal. Our server was really nice! Didn’t get his name but service was outstanding!! We are pass holders and will definitely come back!

(Blurry pic warning🫨)Pleasantly surprised. It had been years since I visited, and I don’t remember this place being this good. The steak was the star of the show, but the chicken and other fish items were also very good. Classic atmosphere with Jungle Cruise like puns. Worth a reservation. Sorry for the below quality pics.

Hands down sit down restaurant within MK in terms of quality, experience, and price. Hidden secret of MK is that the sit down restaurants are all normal priced as opposed to the food hall/fast food options they also give a nice respite from being in the park all day. The menu has a bit for everyone and they make accommodations for allergies or food restrictions without any issues. I’m vegan and my partner is allergic to dairy and soy—we had no issues at all. Our server pointed out everything that worked for us along with everyone that could be substituted. As far as experience, the staff are all on theme and in character throughout service. Definitely adds chuckles in every interaction. We ordered: Cocktail - Sunset Margarita - Well made. Not short on tequila Cocktail - Jungle Bird - I did not like. It was way too sweet. I should’ve just gone for round 2 of the margarita. Appetizer - Falls Family Falafel with sauce on the side to accommodate our food restrictions Appetizer - Soup of the day (coconut based). I can’t remember what it was but it was delicious. Main - Curried Vegetable Crew Stew. Excellent flavor on the rice and the curry itself. We ordered an extra side dish of the rice alone because it was so good. Main - “Tastes like Chicken” Because It Is! Ordered without the soy glaze (allergy) and instead came with chimichurri sauce on the side. Dessert - Panna Connie’s Congo Lime Delight - refreshing cap to our lunch All in, the bill was around $150 without tip. Not bad for two cocktails, two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Magic Kingdom! My family of 4 had a great time here, our servers were nice and explained everything to us, and had a good vibe to it as well. I recommend booking reservations so you don't have to wait so long, we only waited for 30 mins. The sustain fish was delicious though it was a bit too small in my opinion. The taste like chicken dish actually tastes like chicken, it's just delightful to eat. Desserts are so good as well, I highly recommend this restaurant in Disney Magic Kingdom.

This was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last. Our waiter was wonderful and suggested the Pao De Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread) as an appetizer. Apparently this is on the (Not so) Secret Menu. It was one of our favorite foods during our 6 days in the parks! I also had Orinoco Ida's Cachapas and my husband had Mess Hall Fried Rice, both also very good.

We came here for lunch and we’re very impressed. The servers and other staff were very nice. The food was fantastic. And the steak was my favorite part. We tried all of the desserts and not one,and it did not disappoint. The mango was the best.

We were at Magic Kingdom and wanted to try something new for lunch. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen was our first choice . Started with Falls Family Falafel then I ordered Baa Baa Lamb Chops while my wife had the Sustainable fish and we shared Kungaloosh for desserts, Food was delicious and service was fantastic.

Both of my appetizers were amazing. The Brazilian cheese bread and orinoco ida’s cachapas. I would go back just for those two. My orange creamsicle milkshake was okay. I didn’t like our two main dishes, the Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak was okay but I couldn’t really eat the “hardy har char” siu pork. The bathrooms were a bit dirty. The theme of the restaurant is really cool. Service was great.

Casey was an amazing server who went above and beyond and really took care of us. The food was also delicious, every last bite was super interesting flavors. The decor is interesting, there’s plenty of cheesy jokes to go with the jungle Cruise theme, and this was the best restaurant we ate in all of Disney World. Only minor suggestion is that they should add the traditional drink, the Kungaloosh , from the Adventure’s Club at Pleasure Island that was closed down.

I was taken away by the quality, presentation and outstanding flavors of our meal. I’ve watched and read several reviews and none of them do any justice to the offerings here. Our server Adam offered us a “secret” appetizer that wasn’t on the menu, Peo de Queijo which resembled Brazilian bread. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the Tiradito de Tuna. Slightly spiced tuna which sat on top of thinly sliced avocado topped with lotus root chips and corn nuts. It was perfect 😇 For my main dish I ordered Nile Nellie's Noodle Bowl which consisted of Rice Noodles… Stir-fried Shrimp, Tamarind Sauce, Toasted Peanuts, and Fresh Herbs. It was outstanding! My partner ordered Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak which was a Hanger Steak Lomo Saltado-style with Thick-cut French Fries, Roasted Peppers, Tomatoes, and Ají Amarillo Mayonnaise. He shared a bite with me and I can definitely say it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in quite some time. Our desserts were presented very elegantly and the flavors surprisingly were better than expected. I had the Mystic Treasure" which is a Filipino specialty called Kalamansi Namelaka. It consisted of a panna cotta type base with a slight tartness, Mango Crémeux, and House-made Graham Cracker. I savored every tiny bite as I sat in a heavenly state. My partner enjoyed the Malva Pudding Cake which consisted of Amarula Cream Liqueur, Vanilla Bean Whipped Ganache, and Apricot-Caramel Coulis with Vanilla Gelato. It wasn’t as FABULOUS as my dessert, but came close. I’m looking forward to visiting again on my next trip in Autumn. Thank you Adam for presenting us with great service and a beautiful memory as we were celebrating our engagement, my birthday and several other special moments. Awesome job 👏

Magic Kingdom doesn't have great choices if you want to dine indoors, but this is definitely one. You often have to plan ahead and make a reservation very early on especially if your party is 4 or more, not you may be able to find the occasional walk in opening, but if you are ginger and told that it's a 40+ minute Wait, then you might as well go have chicken and waffles next for. But when you do plan ahead, it's always a great experience. We have been there a few times and the food is always great. You have to be a bit more picky with the dessert as some options are just ok and when you want to indulge yourself with a dessert, you want to feel it was worth the cheat day. So I would recommend the African chocolate cake for that. As for main dishes, the pork is my favorite but I also like the lamb chops and have not been disappointed with their other dishes I've had there. Just that the lamb chops in Greece are difficult to compete with :p The service is great and sometimes its just a chuckle you get, other times a lot of laughs. Depends on the day. I would recommend this place and plan to go there many more times.

Absolutely amazing and a must-go! Everything was just so unique and delicious. Our server was the best server we had the whole trip! The skippers really do work hard and crack a joke too. A small but amazing menu followed by a really great atmosphere and service beyond what we expected. Thank you!

This was our favorite restaurant during our stay! First of all, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time on the Walt Disney App. Second, get the Cachapas appetizer. They’re so delicious and I wish they were an entree. Lastly, both entrees we chose were very good but I would choose the lamb as my favorite, hands down. The seasoning was very heavy and wouldn’t recommend for someone who is a picky eater. The baby potatoes were soft and melted in your mouth. Disney, if you’re reading this, add more potatoes to the dish. The staff are also very nice and accommodating. Hopefully, you’re able to get a reservation and eat at this place!

In my opinion the best sit down option at Magic Kingdom! The food is delicious. LOVE the secret menu Brazilian cheese bread with dipping sauce. So good! Also Orinoco Ida's Cachapas are delicious. Good way to start a meal. I have also had the pork and steak on the dinner menu and enjoyed both. Cocktail menu is small, but good. It is nice to have a place to sit down and relax with an adult beverage at Magic Kingdom. The atmosphere is amazing, and you should definitely take a look around why you wait for food. The restaurant is themed to the Jungle Cruise ride, and there are so many easter eggs around to look for. The servers also commit to the bit with dad joke's and sarcasm a plenty! Not too overpriced, and extremely impressive menu for theme park food. 5 STARS!

A very fun atmosphere and theme, which the servers stuck to. I was honestly surprised how good the food was. We had the falafel app which was delicious. I had the steak which was excellent and my husband enjoyed the noodle dish. Kids were happy with the popcorn style chicken dish. The service was a little slow, but we were a group of 11 and the place was full so I understand why. Would definitely return.

This was a great meal and I enjoyed the atmosphere here. It was classical upscale on our seating area and it tracked well with the jungle cruise Disney related memorabilia. The food turned out to be just what we needed and the staff were prompt and friendly. I would come back here again. The menu could use a couple more options.

I've dined at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen three times now, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The service has always been outstanding—friendly, attentive, and in true Jungle Cruise spirit. My most recent visit was over Mother’s Day weekend, and the meal absolutely blew me away. I started with the soup of the day: a Green Curry & Pea Soup with Shrimp that was so good I was tempted to lick the bowl clean. The Brazilian Cheese Bread was warm, cheesy perfection—an ideal appetizer to share (or not!). For entrees, I tried the Fish of the Day, which came beautifully cooked and paired with a Berbere-spiced Black-eyed Pea Stew and a flavorful Kenyan Tomato-Onion Relish. The combination of spices and textures was unforgettable. I also sampled the Mess Hall Duck Fried Rice—rich, satisfying, and bursting with flavor. I’ve seen some surprisingly low reviews, and honestly, I don’t get it. Sure, the menu may not cater to everyone's usual park fare cravings, but that’s exactly what makes Skipper Canteen special. It’s bold, globally inspired, and refreshingly different. If you’re open to adventurous flavors, this place delivers in spades. Personally, I'd rate it closer to 4.7 stars than the 4.2 it currently holds. Highly recommend for anyone ready to step out of the theme park food comfort zone and into something truly delicious.

Brazillian Cheese Bread (Pao de Quejio) the 'secret menu' item that's always here is worth getting 4 plates of on it's own. The Char Siu pork wasn't nearly as spicy as I would have liked, but the green ironically enough packed a legitimate punch. It wasn't anything special, but it was a good meal.

This restaurant features the humor and aesthetic of the Jungle Cruise, but in the format of a sit down restaurant. If you enjoy skipper humor, you'll likely be amused by the jokes made by the staff here. The food itself is good, but I can't say I've ever had anything here that was outstanding. The entertainment and theme are certainly the big draw. There are plenty of days when they have same day reservations available or they open the wait list, so it's not a bad option if you're making some last minute plans.

We had an amazing skipper. The food was pretty good but overpriced. The atmosphere was excellent and this is one of our go to restaurants. The food just didn’t taste that great today, and that was consistent across the four of us. We had the pork, the chicken, the rice with shrimp and a chicken finger kids meal. The two chicken meals were dry and overcooked. This felt like an anomaly for the kitchen, but it was not great.

We made a reservation on the app. Restaurant ismlocated in Adventure land. It's theme is from Jungle Cruise. Location looks it. No Characters here. Service 2as good, they took a while to co.e to our tsbke. Food theme seemed to be African, Latin and some Asain. My wife's Gluten Free frid 🐔 was good. My Lollipops Lamb Chops were excellent. Daughters Noodle owl was good. Seemed like a Pad Thai. Was a good dini g experience, but not the WOW factor like we have enjoyed with other Disney restaurants

Menu items sounds great, and they look great, but the flavor of the food was not the best unfortunately. I wanted to love this place and have been planning to visit for a while, but I was deeply disappointed. We had to ask for refills, straws, and even returned food items which were not prepared correctly. The chocolate dessert was the exception, it was really good 😉

Themed sit down restaurant in Adventureland modelled after the Jungle Cruise rides. Waiters deliver puns like you are on the ride. There are 3 dinig rooms. Check out the Sea Club which is named for a secret society. In here you will find a butterfly collection. This collection is in memory of Lillian Disney-Walt's wife who was a lover of butterflies. Definitely recommend the falafel appetizer-One of the best by far. The tastes like chicken is actually made up on 3 chicken tenders that sit upon a bed of rice and sauce. They were good but not as good as the falafel! Found sharing both the appetizer and main course worked for me. Friendly and knowledgable waiter. Rooms alone are worth a look. Reservations recommended.

This place is next to tree house experience and it’s one of the best place inside the park to have done in experience. The food is fresh and tasty. Their service is very amicable and their sarcastic is hilarious. Everything was good and filing and I would definitely recommend this place for people who would want to eat proper food. I will definitely be back when I’m at the park.

The theming is done very well here! Everyone working here was very, very nice and in character. The food was mostly decent/average and had very large portions. I had the vegetarian curry and my husband had the fried chicken. The best thing was the orange juice float. That was delicious!

Better to take reservations for this through the Disney app before hand. Got the famous cheese stuffs, the taste was average. The balls were a bit chewy. Also got the falafel platter, that was great. The pomegranate crispy chicken was good too.

I enjoyed eating at this restaurant. It was a nice reprieve from the grind of the heat and getting on rides. We started the meal with some of their Brazilian cheese bread. It wasn’t on the menu but was glad it was a special today. I ordered the Dan Dan Thai noodles with pork, my mom ordered the pork and my wife ordered the lamb chops with orange dream drink. Everything had a ton of flavor. I enjoyed it. Of course everything was overpriced but that’s to be expected eating inside the Magic Kingdom.

J

Overall we enjoyed our lunch here and will likely return in the future. I'll start by saying our server was incredible. The food was really delicious but it's quite pricey for what you get, more so than even normal park food mark up. The atmosphere was nice but nothing spectacular, more like a mildly themed restaurant. When coming back I would definitely get the Brazilian cheese bread with the chimichurri again!

B
Baron Migs

Very well themed with a few hidden surprises. It’s just as expensive as you would expect a Disney restaurant to be. I ordered Thai noodles with chicken and added steak to it. The steak was a mistake. Not a good cut of meat at all. But the chicken was delicious. They also gave me an adorable volcano cake for my birthday that I really enjoyed. My friend ordered a steak from the kids menu and I was shocked at the size. Most kids probably wouldn’t be able to finish it. She asked for it well done so that of course would ruin it even if the steak there was good. All in all I enjoyed it. Don’t think it’s worth going back b4 checking out the other restaurants in the park

It's a tasty lunch or dinner option that is located near the Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland. It's appropriated themed to a jungle safari. The actual name of the restaurant is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The cuisine is a fusion of African, Asian, and South American. It's somewhat priced better than most full-service dining restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. It all depends on what you order. The tables seem to be more spaced out, and the atmosphere is kind of cool. The service was great. Be sure to make a reservation if you're set on a specific time of day. Most of the early dinner time slots were already filled up the night before our visit. I started the meal with the Enchanted Orange Dream. It's orange Dole Whip blended with vanilla soft serve ice cream. Yep, it's basically a frozen orange creamsicle beverage. We didn't get any appetizers. I know the cheese bread is popular, but you can get that anywhere. They look like Brazi Bites. Ever heard of them? Also, I think the menu changes seasonally. I didn't see any of the Asian inspired appetizer items that they've had in the past. We just went straight to the entrée. The Dr. Fall's Signature Grilled Steak was calling our name. It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen. Our cast member made sure to let us know that he'd bring it out as soon as it's ready. It was very good once we received it. The French fried part of it was kind of weird. It's Lomo Saltado style. The fries didn't taste that great. However, we really liked the roasted peppers and yellow chili pepper aioli sauce. It added a lot to the hanger steak. The steak was marinated in something similar to teriyaki, but not as sweet (thankfully). It was more savory. It had more of a smoky taste. It was good. Overall, everything was good. The service was great! I'd like to go back one day and try the sustainable fish with the ginger & lemon grass broth. Check it out if you happen to be near the Jungle Cruise.

We got under quoted on the wait time even after we got a text message that table would be ready in 15 minutes it took another 30 minutes before getting seated. No apology but an excuse about having a busier lunch than usual. A better communication would’ve been nice.

The Jungle Navigation Company was a new experience for is. We liked the atmosphere, very well done, like a jungle restaurant should be. The food was also varied and tasted good. The service was friendly but very slow. We weren’t seated until fifteen minutes after our reservation and it took about forty five minutes to receive our food.

T
TS

We enjoyed the theming and were generally happy with the food. Falafel were crispy, steak was as expected, the usual in this price range across Disney locations, the shredded pork corn cake was bland and not great texture, salad was fresh and crisp. We enjoyed the calmer back room with the bird lamps. Unfortunately our waiter seemed overwhelmed and relied on overt pranks reminiscent of Whispering Canyon as opposed to the subtle intellectual charm of the Jungle Cruise skippers. This was a big disspointment as it was our primary reason for eating here.

C
Connie C

The interior is very cool and the food was fun to try. I enjoyed the catch of the day which was grilled fish in veggie broth. The char siu pork chop was interesting - a big chunk of meat but the char siu flavor was not quite right. The service can be a little slow.

This is our favorite restaurant in Disney world. My kids were disappointed that the hangar steak is no longer on the kids menu. We would have ordered it from the adult menu for them, but they would not have liked the spicy sauce or all of the toppings on the fries. The waitress this time seemed miserable making the atmosphere feel ick. At least the food was great.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere that fits perfectly with the park theme fun details, good energy, and a nice break from the crowds outside. The staff were friendly and stayed in character, which made the experience more enjoyable. The food was just okay. Portions were a bit small, and the menu didn’t have many options. What we ordered tasted fine, but nothing really stood out.

Cool atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Menu felt limited but I guess it goes with the theme. Appetizers were great. Kids couldn’t eat there fried chicken tenders because they were rock hard. Noodles with pork were spicy but boring. Steak was good but nothing remarkable. Dessert was underwhelming.

Nice restaurant, staff was kind and friendly. Our server did come out of her way to accommodate us. But the restaurant is slightly lower in level compared to other dining options in the Disney parks. Not a lot of food options. Not much space for modification of the meals either. We were not impressed with the food quality and drinks were just ok.

C
Calarrow

I did not feel the love in this food. The first thing wrong is that they were not offering the shu mai or the seafood stew. We got the "secret menu" Brazilian cheese bread (average) the shrimp fried rice (3 of the 6 shrimp were not cleaned properly and had poop strands), and pork and chicken for the entree. Half the dishes had a small pile of cilantro leaves which overpowered the flavors of the food when eaten. The sauce for the pork was too bitter, a shame as the pork was cooked beautifully. The chicken could have been more moist. The outer layer of rice was dry, like it had been under a heat lamp. Lastly, service while friendly let our water empty before they refilled it and took too long after we were seated to take our drink order. SANGRIA WAS THE BEST I'VE HAD THOUGH!

C
Chloe

Disney food prices suck. I liked this meal but the portions were not great, as expected for theme park food. At least I got to try some new things. This was a meh meal. We got the Brazilian Cheese Bread, siu pork, and chicken dish. ALSO!!!!! everyone please wash your hands before eating. My boyfriend got a really terrible strain of the stomach bug after our day at Hollywood Studios. We didn't wash our hands enough before having snacks and meals. I don't think I've ever been this sick.

Our waitress was the highlight! Very kind, funny, and attentive!! “I fix it!” Regarding our drinks or anything at all. Even the hostess seating us was funny. A reason to go for cocktails for sure. The atmosphere was very cool. We were in the main room and enjoyed the theming the most. We turned our table so we could both look out into the room and enjoyed that. I do wish it was dimmer. I’m not sure why, in the evening, it was lit like a cafeteria. Not very moody or adventurous. The food across the board was way, way too salty. The tastes like chicken, because … was tough and not good. The pork chop was so salty it burned. The stand out was the pork cachapas. The Brazilian cheese bread sounds better than it is and key lime pie was closer to pudding. I wanted a better food experience. It didn’t feel worth complaining at the restaurant since it was just a bad choice for dining and we were hungry. Plus I’m excited for it to exist! I suppose if they are going for food on a voyage, salted and tough, for your hearty job a’ship… I’d say then it was a decent stab at that. Booking reservations seven days in advance was stressful seeing as dining reservations fill up so fast. But we were glad to know we had a place to sit during a big day at magic kingdom. Have a drink, but eat someplace else.

The worse experience I have ever had at a Disney Restaurant. It seemed to be down to poor management. The food was tasty although not as warm as it should be. The problem was the service, especially in terms of time. It was 2 hours from check in to food arriving. It’s difficult to understand why, there were more serving staff than customers, many empty tables despite many people being turned away because they were “fully booked”. The usual cheesy jokes fall a bit short when you’re hangry. I always like to reward good service but this fell way short and we were charged full service even though we specified otherwise. I recommend you go elsewhere Update: Disney refunded us the service charge

1.5/5. Do not go in with high hopes. It lacks the fun of the jungle cruise. Theming seemed weak. I would not know this was jungle cruise themed if you hadn’t told me. Food was a let down and on par with theme park chicken nuggets and fries. We had the secret menu Brazilian cheesy bread which tasted like the ones I get from the freezer isle in the supermarket. I had fried rice and cachapas for my meal. Fried rice had over cooked shrimp that were gross and cilantro which I’m not a fan of and wasn’t listed on the menu or else I would’ve had them remove it. Rice was hardly fried and lacked flavor. The cachapas corn pancakes were surprisingly great and the highlight of my meal! I wish they offered a larger portion. It seems like a small appetizer to share as you only get three. There’s not too many places to eat in the park, but I would avoid coming here again.

I was really disappointed with our experience at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. We made a reservation for a very small group, expecting a smooth check-in and seating process. Instead, we waited 45 minutes to an hour past our reservation time to be seated. During that time, we saw more than five other parties — both smaller and larger than ours — who arrived after us get seated first. We followed up with the staff multiple times, but never received a clear explanation for the delay. It honestly felt like we were being overlooked, which was frustrating and disappointing. That said, once we were finally seated, our waitress was excellent — attentive, friendly, and professional. The kitchen also did a fantastic job. The food was great and clearly well-prepared. Unfortunately, the long wait and lack of communication at the front overshadowed what should have been a really enjoyable meal. I truly appreciate the service we received at the table, but the way the reservation and seating were handled left a negative impression overall.

VERY slow service. Only 2 on our party and the service was so slow we saw multiple large parties seated, eat and leave before we ever saw a desert menu. Over 2 hours…. Food was fine. Was charged for drinks we didn’t order. Not our first time here, but will probably never come back. If the cheese bread (or any bread service) is still offered, we certainly we not given that options

Update: 8/25/23 My family just ate here again 5 years later. For a picky eater like myself and daughter, this place is a no go. We got the gluten free chicken fingers and my daughter didn't even try them due to looks. They did look gross. My wife tried them and said they taste like candle wax. The monkey bites were also gross and not eaten by anyone. Pretty much all of our food was untouched. My beer was luke cold? Is that a phrase? And my sangria wasn't topped off. We paid 85$ and still had to eat dinner somewhere else. Uhhg! Decor and service is great like most of Disney. The food and drinks were all great. We got the Sangria, some frozen drink with green beads on it (check photos), kids mac n cheese, falafel, and corn pancakes with pork. I wish they had more picky eater options. We did get a grilled cheese and fries. It's not on their regular menu. They order it next door.....so I don't think they like that.

Worse food and service in Magic Kingdom. Basically a cafeteria that attempts to pass off their meals a fine dining. Chicken dish was inedible hard and over cooked. The pork dish included spinach with an entire box of salt. Our server made an appearance or two only to take and drop off order with a final visit to provide us the bill. We had to ask other servers to find him when needing anything else. Although we recognize it's Disney, they typically provide service with a half way decent meal. Skip this one for other options as this place needs an overhaul.

Expensive, dry, overcooked food. My wife got the catch of the day, which was swordfish. I think ordering the fish was probably the safest option, as it seemed the least dried out. I originally had the char sui pork dish, but the pork was so hard it caused the fork and knife to slide off under pressure and fling the sauce all over me. They replaced it with the duck, which was so tough the protein splintered, but I didn’t want to exchange another dish, so I just ate it. Honestly, I think they hope that the sauces make you happy. Basically around 35$ average for cafeteria food, except cooked longer than school cafeterias. Our waitress was nice and polite, but we couldn’t understand half of what she said. Restaurant was moderately loud to loud. We never experienced the humor noted in some reviews. $170 dollars down the drain, the two drinks each was the saving grace.
