Crockett's Tavern, formerly Trail's End, offers good food and excellent service. Many reviewers praise the friendly and accommodating staff, especially Olivia and Miss Bobbi. Some find it pricey, with mixed opinions on the brisket and pizza.
Tip: Mobile ordering is available. Visit when it's slower at the end of the night for a more relaxed experience.
Wonderful all you can eat restaurant, the food and drinks tasted great, especially the fried chicken. A decent variety of food to select from. To get there from Magic Kingdom I'd suggest taking the boat that Disney provide as it's a short walk after that boat ride. Great and helpful staff on hand as well, very clean with a great atmosphere.
Boy oh boy was this meal great! It was served family-style, which was very convenient. Our server was Phillipe from Montreal, Canada. He was super friendly, and took great care of us! Service was quick and frequent, but not so often that you’re constantly making orders through mouthfuls. It was a great way to start our trip!
The food was really good. The service was a bit on the slower side but we were told at the beginning of the meal this would happen because of the extra allergens we have in our party. To that point they handled the gluten-free and dairy-free allergens really well. The salad at the beginning was good. They had a bacon vinaigrette that was very tasty. The main course consisted of deliciously smoked food. The desserts were delicious. Overall I would recommend this place. Especially here in Disney, it was good food and one of the cheaper places to eat.
One of my favorite places to eat. It disney hidden jem. It can get crowded on the weekend. But the food is so good, there is something for everyone from salad to pasta to ribs to dessert. I do the the brisket. It has the right amount of char on it. The dessert bar is awesome!!!! The are small desserts so you can try all of them.
My family’s favorite place to eat! Trails End is a little gem hidden away at the Fort Wilderness campgrounds of Disney world. I would definitely recommend taking the ferry from Magic Kingdom to the Fort Wilderness campgrounds because the boat drops you off right near the restaurant. If you drive to the campgrounds, you’ll have to take a shuttle from the front of the campgrounds all the way to the back of the campsites (which can be a lengthy and boring process). This place serves amazing fried chicken, bbq ribs, delicious sides, and tons of desert options - all served buffet style. Trails End is also very reasonably priced for a WDW restaurant. Definitely need to try this place at least once!!
Countryfied, rib-stickin', down home deliciousness is what you get when you feast on breakfast here...so many food options to choose from, and don't forget to ask for a glass of "moonshine" (orange, guava, papaya juice) to start your meal. The coffee is fresh and piping hot and the service is sassy...and a great place for young and old alike! Mosey on down, ya hear?
Many complain about the buffet being gone. Family Style is where it's at! HOT, Fresh and TONS of delicious food served right to your table. If you want more, just ask. Started off with salad. Then a bread basket which included: Goat Cheese Biscuits, Corn Bread and Hushpuppies. Followed by the main course: Fried Chicken, Sausage, Brisket, Green Beans & Potatoes. I followed other recommendations and substituted the rotisserie chicken for the fried chicken. My family of 6 feasted until we thought we were going to explode. And then... They brought out dessert. A giant clear cowboy hat layered with pound cake, ice cream, cookies, whipped cream and plenty of cherries to make everyone happy. The second complaint after the buffet extinction was the cost. I do not remember the exact price per person, adults were thirty- something each and children a few dollars less. Disney automatically adds gratuity to a party of 6 or more, so all in and out the door it was $226 for my family of 6. [Worth EVERY PENNY!]
Great food. If you like bbq this is the place. Kevin from Tallahassee is just a great waiter ask for him by name. They had to die for smoke chick and brisket. I don't usually like sea food but the blackened salmon was very good. It a weird trip to get here but at night it feels like your in nature or at a state park. I'm really into out doors and just love the ambience.
Apparently I've already purged my gallery of all the food photos, save for the Strawberry Shortcake 🍰😋 The food here was delicious, and priced moderately, for Disney. Employees were the sweetest, my son is chatty and they were happy to converse with him, especially the CM Victor, we met one evening before fireworks. Pizzas were delicious and the shortcake is what dreams are made of. Breakfast here was hearty and fresh. It's a gem
Lots of food choices on this buffet, and we found them all to be very nicely done. Salads, pasta, fried chicken, smoked chicken, brisket, ribs, and so much more. The grandchildren loved it, especially the desserts. Great service, friendly people, and a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for dinner.
Trail's End has become a tradition for us. We go there every couple of months with friends visiting from out of town. Getting there by car and then by bus is fun. The happy country style atmosphere inside Disney is an added flavor. The food is great, there is always great salad choices, with other veggies, briskett meat, fried chicken, salmon fish with corn meal on top of it, pizza, and more. I had the salmon, and it was super. My wife did not like the briskett as much, but she enjoyed the chicken and the salmon. Everyone in our party raved about something. But the biggest part is the desserts part. Bread pudding, apple cobbler, Rocky road, banana pudding, strawberry shortcake cake, and much more. it is heavenly. I told our waiter that the Rocky road should be banned as illegal. They we're just absolutely fantastic. This is a really good place to have dinner buffet, with sweets and pizza and salads and veggies plus the meat. The ambiance is pretty nice, with good service. Then after all is done, we walked outside to the park area next door with children's playground. Really nice time to spend a few hours, at a reasonable price.
Food was good, not Texas brisket, Carolina pulled pork or Nashville dry rub smoked chicken but good. Sides where very good and fresh. Salad was fresh and vinegrette dressing was very nice and lite. Over all its not cheap as it is one price.. but for Disney was not outrageous and is all you care to eat and as usual was very catering (as usual) to our grandson's food allergies.
The staff at this place is honestly one of the main reasons I love this place, aside from the amazing food you can get quickly and at a great price, the people here genuinely make you feel like you are an old friend they haven't seen in awhile, they never cease to make me smile and laugh every time I am here! And their meatloaf? I could eat it all day!
Perfect spot for a quick bite at Ft. Wilderness campground. Seating is limited, so visit at off peak times. There are pizza options, a grab n go station with sandwiches, salads, and small cheese and veggie trays, as well as family packs and deserts. The drink station is limited - an old style fountain drink machine with few options --- coke, diet coke, cherry coke, sprite...There is also sweet and unsweetened tea available. We sampled the skillet, pulled pork sandwich, kids chicken fingers, and kids smoked chicken drumstick meal. If you're not a huge eater, a kids meal is just the right size, a little more budget friendly. Nearby is the boat dock, a small play area, and the outpost.
Food is great! Server Rob was exceptional. Each time we saw him throughout our stay, he was friendly and extremely helpful!
Love Trails End, love camping at the Fort. Don't love the hulking eye sore looming over Pioneer Hall, don't love it taking 1/2 of FW beach, don't love seeing rental campers lining the interor FW roads. Rental companies have no business leaving them there. It's an eyesore.
Although it is no longer a family style sit down, trails end still has some really huge portions and really good food. Had the ribs and the fried chicken and basically everything on the settlement sampler. Visited here at the end of the night when it was slower and we could hardly finish the food it was so much. Very chill. :)
We all really enjoyed the food. The skillet was all really good, the chicken tenders and bacon cheeseburger were good, and the Smokehouse pizza was surprisingly really good. Food came out pretty quick and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint was the western music was kind of annoying through the meal, not very fair to criticize that when that's the theme, just personal preference for me.
Disney's best kept secret. This restaurant has a lot of history behind. It used to be a buffet then a family style platter service now it is take out an order in with servers no traditional menu service but exceptional quality food. Same menu is pioneer hall hoop-de-doo revue show. Smoked brisket thinly sliced, tender, juicy perfect warm, cornbread great fried chicken. Pizza offerings variety is OK beautiful location on the marina. Service can be confusing. Servers are limited to what they can do for you once you got familiar with it it works out OK one of the original restaurants on property. Excellent choice if you get the opportunity, don't miss.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – A Rootin’-Tootin’ Breakfast Bonanza! If you’re looking to start your Disney day with a belly full of joy and bacon, Trail’s End Restaurant delivers the kind of breakfast dreams are made of! Let’s talk about the scrambled eggs—fluffy, golden, and clearly made by someone who understands the difference between “breakfast” and “brilliance.” The bacon? Crispy perfection. Not that sad, floppy kind you politely nibble at—this was bold, flavorful, and downright celebratory. Then came the tater tots—glorious little golden nuggets of potato happiness. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and dangerously easy to devour by the dozen. And the waffle? A thick, warm, syrup-soaking masterpiece that walked the line between sweet treat and hearty fuel for the fun-filled day ahead. The service was friendly, the coffee was hot, and the atmosphere was cozy with a touch of rustic Disney charm. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you want to tip your hat, pat your stomach, and say, “Yeehaw, that hit the spot!” I’ll be dreaming of those tots until next time. Trail’s End, you’ve won my morning heart. 🥓🍳🧇🤠
This is a pretty fast service restaurant that will bring your food to your table after ordering. You can order at the check out or do a mobile order. There are some nice views of Bay Lake from inside the restaurant and there is an arcade and bar there, too. The food here is not as expensive and is closer to counter service food and pricing. They have a nice covered deck outside to shield you from the Sun and so you can enjoy the views.
Unbelievably magical. My eggs Benedict was made to perfection. Everything to perfection but most of all the hollandaise sauce was remarkable, just the right amount of tangy without overpowering the creaminess.
Tried Trails End for the first time and WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED! The theming is one of the best I've seen. Food was insane (prime rib and the pork were out of this world). Characters were all really fun and unique.. the ambiance is very cool as well. Service was excellent.. its a shared app (plenty to share) and shared dessert. They had non dairy options that they brought out just for me. Plenty of kids options, food was well themed.. I just can't say enough!
Best pizza in town. There is also a separate restaurant at the bar area with a different menu. Check it out!
My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trail's End Restaurant for three consecutive nights, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of our dining experience at Trail's End was undoubtedly the fried chicken. We couldn't resist ordering it every night, and it never failed to impress. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, with a tender and juicy interior. The flavors were simply mouthwatering, leaving us wanting more with each bite. We were thoroughly impressed by the chef's skill in preparing such a delicious dish. Despite the restaurant being busy during the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, the staff at Trail's End were friendly, attentive, and helpful. They ensured that our dining experience was enjoyable and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Their warm and welcoming approach added to the overall positive ambiance of the restaurant. Speaking of ambiance, Trail's End Restaurant is a beautiful establishment. The attention to detail in the decor and layout created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The combination of rustic elements and modern touches added to the overall charm of the space. It truly enhanced our dining experience and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Trail's End Restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The delicious and crispy fried chicken alone is worth a visit, but the overall ambiance and exceptional service take it to another level. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal with your loved ones, Trail's End is the place to go. Kudos to the staff and management at Trail's End for creating such a wonderful dining experience. We are grateful for the memories we made at your restaurant and look forward to returning in the future.
I absolutely love this place. By far the best buffet offered by Disney. There are no characters, but the food and low price easily makes up for it. On weekends they offer a brunch so you get some of the goodies offered at lunch/dinner too. The sticky pecan rolls are absolutely the best. Right along with the bread pudding! Don’t pass on the walnut praline sauce on top of them. They of course have Mickey waffles. They offer a table of pastries and cookies, and the selection changes a little at each offering. They have lots of savory breakfast items, including hand carved bacon. They also offer normal bacon, eggs, potatoes, chile, poached eggs, Mac and cheese, cereal, fried chicken, fruit, salmon, tater tots, grits, biscuits... the list goes on. Seriously this is the best bang for your buck. It’s more difficult to get to since it’s in fort wilderness, but you just drive in, park and take the internal bus to the restaurant. Another plus- no park ticket required!! Hidden gem.
After many years celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, today we came to say goodbye to Trails End. This restaurant started as a buffet with a variety of options and a delicious bread pudding as one of dessert options. After Covid became Family Style, but the food continued been very tasteful. We will definitely miss this place✨
We had great experiences ordering from here while Trails End was being renovated. We had several mornings of Mickey Waffle breakfasts and breakfasts croissants since we like to sleep in and go to the parks in the late afternoon. My kids loved being able to eat the Mickey Waffles right at our own resort in our own RV. We had the Fried Chicken family meal with mashed potatoes with gravy and macaroni and cheese, and lunch burgers and salad from here. We clicked we’re here right as we got to the back so our food was always made fresh and piping hot when they brought it down to us and we took it straight back to our RV to eat. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I didn’t get photos of everything but I highly recommend the fried chicken, it’s a must every year, it’s a million times better than Chef Arts homecoming fried chicken. I said what I said. It’s the same chicken they serve at Hoopty Doo Review, which is incredibly fun and a must do at least once.
Loved our dinner here! They were very accommodating to my vegetarian friend and the food was delicious. We ate family style instead of the normal buffet and it was actually great! Every time we needed more food our waitress was more than friendly and ready with refills. Great place for the family.
This all you can eat breakfast buffet was amazing. Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious! Huge variety. This place was recommend by a friend and now I know why. We will be back!

We came here for our food last minute and someone took our order right at close. Then the pizza oven wasn’t on. The lady in charge of the pizza Miss Bobbi took care of it and even though it was closed she ensured we got our pizza and was so kind to us. Olivia who was so sincere and apologetic she gave us free dessert and was so kind. The manager Balbino apologized to us and took great care of us. Everyone was so kind and took our needs first! We appreciate the staff and the kindness they gave us! I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! If I could give 6 stars to this amazing staff and restaurant I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We walked in to purchase some dessert after a great day at the park. Olivia made our day that much better, she was very observant and cheerful, like how 'old Disney' cast members used to be. She recommended two quick service desserts for my wife and I that were amazing. I would take a picture but they're already gone 😆 Thank you for a great end to our night.

Super delicious and bottomless refills ! We love breakfast and, you had me at pastry basket ! Who can turn down Mickey waffles !? Our castserver was amazing, attentive and sweet. Nice and relaxing. No one trying to rush you and were able to get a glimpse of Fort Wilderness ! The boat ride from MK to Fort Wilderness was lovely. Dropped one star for reservations. We had a 10:15 res and was not seated until 10:50. As you know with staying on property, you have to well pre-plan your transportation route and connections to ensure being on time. The courtesy should be extended in return.
A great, now quick service, restaurant with plenty of bbq options available. I can highly recommend the smokehouse pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, and plenty of brisket. For desert the pb&j cupcake was great, not overly sweet and plenty of pb taste. My only complaint would be the nutter butter on top was soggy.
Great breakfast! Best time to go is on the weekends, they have way more options! The potato casserole is delicious! Zucchini and squash eggs are yummy and cheesy!! They have dairy free menu items and gluten free plus the servers were all very Nice!! As a bonus they have vegan options too!
Located inside of Disney's Fort Wilderness campgrounds. You will need to take an internal resort bus from the front outpost to Settlement/Pioneer Hall. Plant-based options are available for Vegan diets, as well as additional Vegetarian options including a Vegetable burger. Be sure to ask the Cast Members about Gluten Free or other allergy requests.
I must say that trail's end restaurant is a hidden gem, normally I would not eat at an all American BBQ buffet but I heard that Disney's famed chef TJ works here and that he would perform a vegan miracle. it's sad to say that chef TJ no longer works at this restaurant as he has moved to Cape May, however Trail's End has a fantastic and knowledgeable chef that was able to create some wonderful dishes for us. We went for Father's Day, it was crowded but not as bad as other places would typically be. The price was reasonable for any restaurant and a bargain for a Disney buffet. Chef Stephen was knowledgeable about veganism and vegetarianism as was our server who also happened to be vegetarian, it was great to be at a place where everyone had good food to eat. This is an all you care to eat buffet however I did not need to go to the buffet for anything, the entrees that were brought out to me were abundant and I had the very best brussel sprouts that I've ever had in my entire life, I am going to be dreaming about those brussel sprouts. I am completely satisfied, more than full, and it didn't break my wallet too badly at all. Even though I did not get to try chef TJ's famed smoked watermelon salad or the desert skewers I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
My daughter and I ate here on our last day on a Monday. We made ressies but we didn’t need to. 10:50. Our server was great and funny. I think it was Ken. This was my first visit, her second. There was a wide variety of food and I liked most of what I tried. Of course the Mickey waffles were delish. I used the bananas foster sauce as syrup...so good! Loved the bread pudding. The bacon was mostly as I like it, crispy. I liked the quiche too. They have soft serve ice cream. The chocolate was a little soft. No toppings but I added some mini chocolate chips from the yogurt bar. The lemon blueberry truffle was so so. Lemon pudding, whipped cream, and fresh blueberries. Like most whipped cream at Disney it has no flavor. Hey DISNEY, please add some vanilla! Beverages are included. They serve moonshine that’s basically pog...papaya, orange, guava. Very good.
Review from Sept, after menu updates. Trails End is still the best bargain and value for a Disney breakfast. It is now served family style as the buffet is closed, post Covid. Pictures show the bread basket, yogurt parfait, and warm dishes which includes bacon and sausage, eggs and cheesy potatoes. It's good, service is always on point, and you won't leave hungry.
For the price it’s not a bad place to eat. The rolls they bring out with the strawberry butter are delicious. However the rest of the food is just average. The eggs were powdered and not good. Everything tasted like it was from a box or something you get at your local store and unfreeze. You do get to eat as much as you want and the coffee/juice/drinks are all included in the price. The service was slow and we finally just had to ask the server to leave us a pot of coffee because it was taking so long to get refills. The cups are small and you can drink the whole thing in a few drinks. The atmosphere is fun. It’s what you would expect from a campground. Simple and rustic. You even have to leave and go outside for the bathrooms. Overall though, the price reflects what you get. It’s hard to find anywhere that offers that much food for so cheap at Disney property. I would go back if I was just looking for something simple and cheap. * a note for people not staying at the campground. You have to take a bus to the Settlement from the main parking area. Any of the buses not going to Magic Kingdom will get you there. It adds about 15 minutes to your time so make sure you account for that when booking your reservation time. We almost missed ours.
The food was good, but it tastes a bit reheated and is a bit pricey for what it is. Still, it’s fine for a quick bite before continuing to explore Disney.

Disney does execution and attention to detail so well so that’s why breakfast here was a disappointment. The sausage had no flavor, and the syrup for the waffle was actually scary. The key ingredient was “invert sugar” (big fail there smuckers). We weren’t expecting fine dining but were expecting that classic Disney attention to detail. The cinnamon role was dried out by an oven that was either too hot or it was left in too long to reward. The staff are always friendly and helpful, so that is a bright spot. Service was quick.
Asked for fried chicken family meal all dark meat, that's not possible for some reason. Then ordered a pepperoni pizza... You're better off getting a frozen pizza from the trading post and cooking it at your camper/RV. This pizza had little cheese and less flavor. Don't waste your time or my money.
We were very excited to eat here because before covid we used to love it. We went for dinner this time and while the chicken, corn and potatoes were OK the rest of the food wasn't. The brisket was the worst! It was extremely tough to the point it was mostly inedible. The green beans were almost raw, the corn was cold. Service was good except we told him no tomatoes in the salad becuase im allergic and it still had tomatoes in it. The restaurant was really cold too. I get it's Florida but there are times like on our visit where the Temps drop into the 30s and they should have a way to heat the building insteadof freezing their guests. Desserts were ok.
