Opinions de Neptune Diner Bayside
Always a great meal at the Neptune diner in Bayside ! Today I had the crispy fried chicken dinner and my wife had chicken terraki dinner both excellent and so much food we both took food home. Our waiter Saul friendly and professional as always. Such a good price and yes will be back
A wonderful experience. I have been a Neptune Diner for many years in Astoria. We still miss that wonderful gathering place. Happy that Bayside continues the journey of a great diner.
Great classic diner menu. Service was quick and delicious.
Amazing diner. super friendly environment. Food came out quick and was amazing.
GO THERE. THEY TAKE WHAT THEY DO SERIOUSLY!!! FOOD IS DIVINE!!! SERVICE IS IMPECCABLE. PLUS THEY HAVE DECORATED DIVINELY FOR HALLOWEEN!!! ATMOSPHERE IS PERFECT!!!
I always bring my mother to this diner whenever I can because it brings back many fond memories for her. The food is of excellent quality and the waitstaff is always attentive and friendly. However, I want to give special recognition to the young valet parking attendant. My mother is elderly, and he has helped us countless times with great care and patience. His assistance makes our visits much more enjoyable.
Great diner. I got the Lumberjack which was four gigantic slices of french toast, two eggs, ham, bacon and an enormous sausage link with an iced coffee. Very tasty and super filling. Only cost me $25. A lot less than I was expecting. This place is worth a visit.
Lovely intimate informal dining experience. Service staff treats all customers like family. Highly enjoyable dining experience.
Very good food that frequently exceeds restaurant quality, and huge portions so you will always have leftovers. Great service as well, Peter is a great waiter!!
This is such an amazing diner! The food is always good and the portions are big. Their fish and chips are delicious and are made to perfection. Their bacon cheeseburgers are delicious! Also, their onion rings are literally the best I have had. They are very crispy. Their seafood fra diavolo is better than an expensive restaurant with an amazing sauce especially when you don’t get it hot. Also, the service is excellent. Billy, Peter, and Nick are great waiters. They always make sure everything is good with your order and they are also very nice. Also, Vinny the coffee server in the morning is so nice and knows exactly how we like our coffee. He also makes sure our coffee cups are always filled . Overall, this is a great diner with a feel good atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We love it!
honestly, the food came fast and they threw in a free piece cake. Great experience. I haven't lived in Bayside for more than a year, but I finally found a diner That I can order from. I had a poor experience with another diner that said that they delivered my food and basically insinuated that I was lying when I had text and video proof. Only for the order to show up five minutes after they said they "sent"another order. I had an amazing delivery experience here - thank you so much. Really appreciate it.
They were very business but I only waited 10 mins.very efficient service, food was delicious. I don't go for atmosphere. Bathroom very clean.
The best burger, fries, onion rings and shake I've had. The sesame seed brioche bun was soft and buttery. My burger was cooked to perfection. The fries were hot and crispy. The milkshake was a legit strawberry milkshake. Thinking about this meal is making my mouth water. My server was sweet and patient. The hostess was friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming. I will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend in tow. I'm wondering if this Neptune Diner is related to the one in Astoria because that is my favorite diner. Well, I think this one is my new favorite. Either way, EAT HERE NOW! You won't be sorry.
Traditional diner atmosphere decorated for the holidays. Service was excellent and food amazing. I highly recommend the French toast!!
Classic diner, clean and spacious. Service profesional, attentive and friendly. Only thing... a bit fast on asking to pay, there were several booths and tables empty (so no rush to open a table). But that's about it. French Onion soup was was delicious. Burger and baked loaded potato were tasty. Reminiscent of how my family used to make burgers for BBQ.
Good food. Great service. Parking a little difficult.
One of my favorites... Really down to earth. They make a great cheeseburger. Over all 5 stars
First time coming here. The restaurant was busy but they had a seat for my family. We ordered a combination of breakfast/dinner platters, burgers and sandwiches. The food and service was very good overall. Using burgars as our reference, the beef burger was just right and my turkey burger was well seasoned. Usually I would get a plain turkey patty but theirs was full flavored and tasted great. We only had an issue with the fried shrimp entree - the shrimp was overdone. Overall, this was better than other diners in the area.
First time back there since it was the Jackson hole, Neptune diner originally a staple in Astoria.. Food, service, atmosphere, and Wait Staff we're all friendly and great!
Great service, friendly atmosphere, best bacon cheeseburger in Queens imo ..
This is our favorite diner. Whatever my wife and I order is always exceptional. I think today our dinner was beyond exceptional. We both had the stuffed filet of sole with crabmeat. You get two generous pieces. The crabmeat stuffing is moist and so delicious . Truthfully, it is better than any expensive seafood restaurant we have been to. The order comes with a basket of bread, a choice of soup or salad, choice of potato - mashed or baked (we had baked), and choice of vegetables. It was so much food, we took half of it home for tomorrow’s dinner. Also, our waiter, Billy, enhanced the whole dining experience. He is everything a waiter should be. He is friendly, nice, and truly wants to please you. I would recommend this diner to anyone. We have been coming here since it opened and some of our favorite dishes on the menu are: fish and chips (huge portion), bacon cheeseburger deluxe (their onion rings and bacon are the best), bagel and lox deluxe (their lox is the freshest I have ever had), chicken or pork souvlaki platter, and their Greek avgolemono soup is fantastic. Also, their breakfast omelettes are delicious, especially the feta cheese omelette with sweet potato fries. This place is really fantastic with a warm and welcoming staff. Chris, one of the managers, is so friendly and so welcoming. He adds to the dining experience by welcoming you when you come in. We love this diner and in our opinion it is the best in the city!
Fantastic diner and a great breakfast spot. Ample portions, fair prices and friendly staff. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, eggs cooked to perfection and the sausage and bacon was also cooked masterfully. I've come here more than once and it won't be the last! Not an amazing amount of parking out front, you may need to look around for street parking.
Second visit to this diner and they were awesome once again. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Bring your appetite or make room in the fridge for leftovers. The chicken sandwich was huge and well cooked. The chicken was tender and crispy. Once I set eyes on the omlette I knew I wasn’t finishing my meal.
We had a nice experience. Greeted and seated quickly. Friendly service. Good food. All around good experience. I did have the healthy choice on letter with fruit - was glad to see option like that on the menu.
this place has delicious french toast. the BBQ burger was also delicious. $5 extra for french fries with the burger, but you get lettuce and tomato for it and they top the burger with a couple onion rings as well. service was nice. the only minor complaint was the blue moon draft beer tasted kind of watery this time, but it was good the last time we were here.
Came here twice and wasn't disappointed. What I liked is that it's clean and the food was good. The menu wasn't overwhelming, had your typical diner food.
Wonderful diner and my go-to diner. Always a fast seating and excellent time on the food coming out. Management and the wait staff is phenomeal, very kind and attentive.
LMOOoo, I don't even remember where this was. I was lost somewhere out in NJ. But, I DO remember the name and that thier food was excellent. So, I will definitely be asking google maps to take me back to the Neptune, next time I'm lost in NJ...
Food is very good. The Service is Excellent the staff was quick to attend you. And the staff is very courteous
I'm at this diner every Saturday morning for breakfast. I also come during the week with my daughter after school. She goes to Queensboro College and it's very close. They close at 1130pm p m so I never have to rush. The team there is amazing. They were very very hard. The place is run excellent. They also have a great beautiful restaurant in Syosset. Tina, one of the managers is in both places. That restaurant is amazing and big. At the Bayside location they have a few self park spots and valet parking as well. Mike, the manager, along with Tina, run the place over the weekend. Everyone is part of a good team.
Great food and great service. Their Buffalo wings are great, Strip steak dinner is enough for two male adults, and is just top notch. What old school diners used to be like
I was in and out grabbing some food to go. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Diner food has gotten a little pricey for me. However, I did enjoy the food and the plating size was more than enough for one sitting.
Stopped by Neptune Diner today, and honestly they have the best banana pancakes 🍌 in Bayside. So delicious! The place is almost always packed, but it’s totally worth it ,the food comes out fast and everything tastes amazing. Prices are pretty reasonable too. The only downside is having to pay for valet parking, but other than that, this spot is a win 💗
neptune diner in bayside feels like it’s been there forever and probably will be long after we’re gone. the kind of spot that doesn’t care about trends or hashtags. just coffee, chrome, and the steady hum of people trying to keep it together. you walk in at midnight or seven a.m. and it’s the same. cops, night-shift workers, teenagers chasing fries with milkshakes, old couples splitting toast. the waitresses move like they’ve seen it all and have the patience of saints. the food’s what you expect from a diner — pancakes, burgers, omelets the size of small planets. it’s not about the menu. it’s about the ritual. you order, you talk, you stare out the window while the world keeps turning. neptune’s the kind of place that holds you when life’s too loud. something about the buzz of conversation and the smell of coffee makes you feel less alone. it’s not perfect. it’s real. that’s worth five stars.
I went by myself on a Friday morning and it was all I could hope for. Had walnut banana pancakes with eggs and bacon...all wonderfully delicious. Large portions so I even took some home. The service was attentive, and the locale was clean with nice decorative touches. I will definitely be coming back.
This is a small diner. We went there at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon. It is really cozy inside. I ordered Lemon Soup and a bacon cheeseburger. My friend got Lemon Chicken and Potatoes, Greek style. The portions were very large. The lemon soup was amazing. The lemon chicken was so juicy and flavorful. My Bacon Cheeseburger was really good. The bacon was huge and roll was really perfect. So delicious. Then we ended with cheesecake. It was a great meal and not that expensive. Thanks guys, we had a good time.
I came here for the first time over the weekend. The place was very busy, but we were seated immediately. The staff is warm and friendly. Chicken and waffles are one of my favorite things to order whenever I visit a diner for the first time. This place did not disappoint. The chicken was absolutely delicious. It was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The waffles smelled so good and tasted yummy. I will come back again.
Great diner in Bayside! We had a great meal. The Diner is accessible, we were greeted warmly and seated fast. The waitress was friendly, answered our questions and the food came out fast and piping hot!! Really tasty waffle fries 😀 The parking lot is small, so parking can be challenging, but on the weekends they have valet parking which made it much easier. Highly recommend!
I’m not one that like to go and dine at diners but my brother and I were in the area and decided to go in and have breakfast. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place, the friendly staff; I was very pleased. The waiter came to our table and welcomed us, asked what we would like to drink and when asked what he recommends, he was very informative; he really knew the menu. Our breakfast was really good!!!
The Neptune Diner used to be a beloved fixture in Astoria, and I have many fond memories of enjoying late-night meals there. It was with great sadness that I learned it had closed down a few years ago when the building was sold. However, I recently discovered that it has reopened in Bayside, taking over the old Jackson Hole location. I am pleased to report that the new spot looks great, the service is top-notch, and the food is absolutely delicious. As someone who loves breakfast, I decided to order eggs over easy with a side of home fries, and I was delighted to find that the home fries were particularly tasty.
I came here this morning to have breakfast with a friend and we had a wonderful experience! There is a parking lot with a valet service in the front. From the moment we walked inside, we were seated immediately at a booth and the booth was noticeably spotless. We were surprised the wait time was so short considering it was a Sunday morning but the diner seemed well staffed and organized. The hostess was super friendly and the waiter we had was attentive and caring as well. The hostess even went around the restaurant asking customers if they're doing good, which was a great thing to see! The food was really delicious and exactly what we were hoping for! I ordered a croissant with 2 eggs and cheese and my friend ordered an omelette and both were perfect. We didn't feel rushed out and had a great experience overall. Would definitely come back again!
Great portion size and worth the price! Classic diner vibe
This diner was very spacious and modern. Place looked fancy for a diner. My waiter however seemed a little grumpy, maybe he was just having an off day so not a problem. They have a small parking lot in front of the diner. I had a cheese omelette with a side of homefries and turkey bacon. The omelette was very good and the turkey bacon was very good. The homefries were still a bit mushy even though I told them to make it well done and crispy. I would definitely come back here for more of their menu items. 4/5 Bill came out to $25.04
Decent place to eat breakfast. Staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered an omelette and it looked more like scramble eggs but taste was good.
Very nice diner. Clean and well arranged. Large portions. I had the beef dinner which was sliced razor thin and a bit dry - but flavorful. The serving was very large. The baked potato, salad and cooked vegetable were all good. They provide take out boxes. I'll be happy to dine there again.
One thing I wanted to do while visiting my boyfriend's family in Queens was to go to a classic NY diner. The vibe in Neptune's was chill and the service was great. I should've gotten traditional diner food like pancakes but I opted for Avocado Toast. It was bland tasting and I had to add a lot of salt/pepper to make it edible HOWEVER, my boyfriend's dad said the blueberry pancakes were delicious! Will definitely visit again and try breakfast.
Stopped in here on a work trip just because the parking lot was so full. With so many people going, figured it must be good. I think that set my expectations too high. The food was ok. It was what you would expect from a diner. Nothing to write home to mom about but a decent meal. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. If I lived in the area, I would visit again but as an out of towner, I would not go out my way when I come back.
It’s a diner. Get exactly what you should expect. Very large selection of mediocre foods at an average price and warm service from your friendly waiter. Neptune does have great coffee. If you come in for a meal, coffee will leave an impression.
This is a really great place. Family atmosphere. Our food was fresh and hot. We had a slight problem with one order, but they fixed it immediately. We were also asked to move our seats because of overcrowding. Awesome customer service. Parking is an issue. Thus, so is the wait time, BUT worth it. When in the area again, I would visit again. I highly recommend this place.
What can I say a diner is a diner, not too many differences between them. However, that being said, the service here is very good. It was busy but we got a table right away and once we ordered our food, it arrived in a short time. The food is good and the portions are large. It's very family-friendly. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend this diner if you're in the area.
We went there for Sunday Lunch. The place was packed ! Not so much waiting even for party of 6. The food was generously portioned. The food was well seasoned and well prepared. It is diner food. Not spectacular but not bad either. The staffs were friendly and service was fast. This is one of the realistic choices if you are to go to a diner in the area.
Very nicely decorated and the wait staff is very attentive. However the food was only okay. This is a fancier diner (new decor) and has a good menu. However this visit, the food was not particularly memorable. It's fine for a bite to eat but it's not my first choice in diners.
The food was average. My burger was undercooked and the French fries were almost burnt.the onion rings was ok .The size of our Greek salad was very good but the chicken on top was with no flavor and also undercooked.
Food was decent, place was not busy a lot of open tables but I felt like the waiter was rushing everyone out!!! I don’t like that feeling. As I moved dishes over to the side the waiter grabbed them before I got to let the plate go! Don’t rush paying customers. I noticed it being done with other customers as well. The waiter literally was very unpleasant, no room to enjoy and eat your food on a Sunday. Again remind you the place wasn’t busy many open seats.
Went there for the 1st Time. Our Waiter/Server was Terrific. Got Our Order for 7 people Exactly Right. Made Suggestions, and Recommendations. And Kept Following Up with Us to make Sure Everything was Okay. I had Ordered the Cowboy Burger to play it Safe being my 1st Time. Safe to say it was Ok. The Others in my Group had been there Before. 1 even Ordered the Banana Split. She Enjoyed It. Maybe I will Stop Back the Next Time in the Area. 🤷
The staff is nice. The waiters work really hard. But when it’s busy it’s hard to find someone to refill coffee for example They have a parking lot that’s always packed so they offer valet The food is fine. Some things are better than others. Chicken Caesar wrap pass. Grilled chicken just tastes like oregano and lots of it. There was like no lettuce and they didn’t grill the wrap The turkey burger if you don’t get deluxe is just a burger and a bun. Looks like it’s not frozen and they make it Only Pepsi no Coke but the waiter gets points for telling me when I ordered a Diet Coke that it was Pepsi so I could pass on it LOL I find it pricey for what it is It’s an updated diner and I think people are nostalgic for diners esp on weekend mornings so they get very busy
If you are brown skin, some of the waiters treat you differently( racist ) Also the noise they make with the dishes/ people are trying to eat. The manager need to look into this . Please Other than this, I enjoy coming here.
What Neptune does well it does very well, and what it does bad it does awful. The burgers are excellent, with thick diner style fries. The gyro platter is also fantastic, with a huge portion of gyro, fresh cucumber tomato salad with Kalamata olives, fries and a slab of feta cheese. Plus a warm pita and an excellent house made taziki sauce. Unfortunately, aside from this they consistently crank out sub-par food at higher than average prices. There is no reason to come here when you can spend the same or even less at an actual restaurant that uses good fresh ingredients. The breakfasts here are routinely a miss. Barely toasted toast, oily greasy low quality meats riddled with rock hard gristle and chewy fat, overcooked omelettes and eggs with undercooked whites no matter how you ask for them. Breakfast is the one thing every diner has to do well, and it’s very disappointing that Neptune just can’t get it right. The Turkey Club is huge, but again the meat is awful. Imagine the discs of Turkey that come in Luncheables snack packs, but sheets of that. Super low quality gelatin-like Turkey, topped with bacon that’s mostly fatty parts with an unnaturally smoked flavoring. At the prices Neptune charges it’s very difficult to recommend this place to anyone. You can spend the same amount anywhere else on Bell for quality food. I had the meatloaf platter here recently and it was pathetic.. brownish green bland “sautéd veggies”, mashed potatoes that were literally a boiled potato smashed on the plate with nothing else and dry generic meatloaf with what tasted like instant gravy. For less money you can have a massive, fresh and delicious meatloaf platter down the street at Maggie Mays in a wonderful setting. For what it’s worth, I love diners. I’ve been to this one so many times now since it’s so close and have tried a variety of dishes. Breakfast a few times. Several dinners and lunches. The staff is friendly and attentive and that’s the best thing they have going really. Long gone are the days where a diner is a place to get a reasonably good meal at a good price.
The great service is why this review is even 3 stars our waiter was great and everyone was nice but the food was average at best some dishes below average the meatloaf wasn’t even meatloaf it was just pure salt that’s all you tasted very bad experience with that, the Greek gyro was of and salad and taziki was better then I would expect but other then that average place don’t think I’ll be back
Very big selection, usual for a diner. My food was ok. Ordered an Omelet with cheddar cheese and it came as basically a cold slice of cheese barely folded into an overdone omelette. My friends food was not good at all. They asked for an omelet with tomatoes, avocado and mushrooms, lightely done, what they got was an overdone omelet on the outside and a underdone omelet on the inside that was mush. With only one piece of mushroom. She sent it back and they thankfully took it off the bill. Then she asked for 2 scrambled eggs, which was fine, but they charged us $10 for it. I had coffee and it gave me a terrible stomach ache. To sum, not a great experience, we won't be coming back
Neptune diner was formerly Jackson Diner. Management is good and food is also decent. Servers also work to upsell and suggest some good dishes if asked. Not bad if you having trouble deciding what to eat. Menu is substantive but not overwhelming for a diner Diner food is not overly different or bad compared to other diners in the area. Presentation is decent and breakfast and lunch options are affordable. Plenty of parking in the lot, but will tend to fill up on nice weather days. Come here on a not so busy weekday and you will have a relaxing time. Will tend to get a bit noisy when the restaurant is full.
The food is just okay. Definitely liked Jackson Hole better. Miss the jukeboxes on the tables. Our American Legion holds services twice a year (Veterans Day and Memorial Day) and we usually have lunch after at Bayside Diner but since they closed we figured Neptune would be good replacement even though wasn’t that happy with the food as it’s just mediocre. But we like to support our neighbors and naturally I thought of Neptune. Usually 10-15 people. Which is a nice size bill for the establishment twice a year and other times as my family would go as well because it was convenient (can never go wrong with a turkey club). Bayside diner and places before them had no problem being prepared for us and usually had tables together waiting. However, when speaking with the manager, Timmy, I got the impression that we were an inconvenience and he kept mentioning that they can’t reserve space for us and how it was Memorial Day and couldn’t guarantee that we wouldn’t have to wait. Now our group are mostly elderly and a couple of elderly war veterans and there is no where for 10-15 to wait around to be seated. I think it’s a shame that this local, neighborhood place would make us feel that way. But it’s okay we’ve found a new place that welcomed us with open arms and accommodated us with gratitude and appreciation and they are who will have our business from now on. Times are tough and businesses who have opportunity to make upwards of $500 a pop should really think twice about making people feel like they’re bothering you by trying to bring you business.
High prices for very mediocre food. My tuna melt sandwich was bland and expensive and it didn't even include fries. I ordered onion rings on the side and they were similarly boring (and 8 bucks!). I sampled some of my fellow diners' fries though and...meh. Yep, that was my last visit to this diner.
Around nine in the morning, my friend and I went to the diner. When we first arrived, Ashley, our server, hurried us through the entire ordering process, forcing us to place three different meals because the menus weren't clear and she had to keep going into the kitchen to see if a particular item was available. She looked me up and down the entire time and inquired if all the food I ordered was for me, all with an attitude. When our food was finally arrived, my side of mashed potatoes seemed gummy, as if it had been chilled and reheated but was still cold when it was served or had come in a package. My fries tasted very salty. My pulled pork hero was hardly covered in barbecue sauce and was somewhat dry. The bun was also soggy and tough to chew through. The turkey burger that my friend was eating was pink in the middle and the bun was burnt like black on the bottom burnt. Her burger had onion rings that were so thin, you could tell the onion skin was utilized to make them. The rings themselves were barely onion. My mashed potatoes came with a bland, watery gravy. Aside from the ambience, the food was not worth the cost, and I would strongly advise against visiting.
I’m a resident of Bayside for 28 years. I have been going to Neptune since they opened. The previous lady manger was excellent. Always greeted people with a smile. She was very pleasant. The man that is there now shouldn’t be dealing with the public. He is plain nasty and rude. Please bring her back
Great spot with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere—I come here all the time and love it! One thing I’ve always been curious about though: I’ve noticed eggs aren’t on the menu, and when I’ve asked if they could make some, they’ve said no. Totally respect the boundaries of a menu, but I’m just wondering—any particular reason eggs aren’t offered? Just genuinely curious since it’s such a classic diner item. Still a fan either way!
Went christmas day for breakfast , my order never came , other orders were ok .waiter said they made it wrong , 20 minutes later still nothing .I complained and said forget it. There to busy with uber orders , sport said I'll take it off the bill , never got it why should I pay for it ,theyshouuuld have took my coffee off bill also . I live local and will never go back they didn't do the right think . Young kid in front is clueless , Save your money go else where
Came for lunch. Service was great. Food was below average. Two turkey wraps were mostly lettuce and barely any dressing. Desserts of baklava and seven layer cake were worse than had they been store bought. The kitchen needs to step it up for the prices this diner is charging.
I ordered takeout for my wife and I from here and the person on the phone said that order would be ready in 15 minutes (2 burgers and 2 soups). When I arrived to pick up our food, to my surprise they said that they didn’t have my order and they gave it away to another John. I would assume they would have checked the phone number before giving an order away. After that, I was told it would be 5/10 minutes to receive my order so I decided to sit down for a beer. The food didn’t come out for another 30 minutes. Would have been nice to at least have them communicate with me that they messed up, and to offer me that beer. Finally, after $80 later, I came home to find a hair in my soup. I miss the Neptune in Astoria.
I am a refrigeration specialist. I ate here a burger that had a bad taste after a few bites which I thought it was grill taste. 3/4 of the way through I realize that that taste only comes from a refrigeration fan coil that does not have acid protection coating. The manager came later and I explained to him. No apology nothing other stating I have eaten I all anyway. Great place to enjoy inconsiderate management. The waiter had more remorse. I was not looking for anything but to inform them of how a customer was not satisfied. I paid for the bill and will never come back again!!! Management the customer is always right!!!! What school did you go too?????
Terrible experience and I feel scammed. I visited a few months ago, around 8 PM with my boyfriend. The food was okay, but definitely overpriced for the quality. I paid the bill and left a cash tip for the server—nothing was added on the card. Later, I noticed an extra charge on my card, which clearly wasn't authorized. It looks like the server added a tip to the card themselves, even though I specifically left a cash tip. I disputed the charge, but it was denied. I never agreed to that extra amount. Make sure to keep your receipts and double-check your card charges if you decide to eat here.
I went into this diner because I’m a DoorDash driver and I had an order to pick in this restaurant. When I arrived the person in the front told me it should in the middle counter where the bar is. So I went to the bar by the way there was only two bags there on the counter and nobody there. So I checked the receipt that was on one of the bags to see if it was the name of the person I was picking up the order for. When I man with white hair comes out from the kitchen and says “hey what are you doing there don’t touch that”. It was such a nasty attitude. Not enough with that when I was leaving with the order he started talking about me with someone else. Wish I could give this place zero stars with their service for people, just because I’m not spending money in that moment should they be nice but because we as delivery drivers are helping deliver their food to customers. I won’t talk anything that wasn’t mine or nothing I didn’t spend my money on.
Had family in town Ordered to go and they forgot a full dish and messed up my son’s omelette (not the one we asked for) Only realized when I got home and when I called to let them know they bot only had messed up the omelette order bur also forgotten a whole meal, they said they couldn't send me the food because no driver but I could pick it up (again) which I couldn't do since I had other things to do Huge disappointment!! Will not order from them again
Dined here with my girlfriend a couple of months ago. Ordered a Cobb salad and a salmon salad along with mimosas and fries. Food was good but service took forever. I tipped in cash only to find that an extra card tip was taken. Because I didn’t have a receipt that showed I tipped in cash, my girlfriend was told over the phone that she could not get the tip refunded. Overall not a bad experience but horrible service. Do not tip in cash and always take photos of your receipt.
I’ve been a repeating patron to this diner, even when they were in Astoria, however, I went for breakfast at the Bell Boulevard location and to my astonishment the service was extremely slow in bringing my eggs and when I asked for the check, they ignored me and when I complained after 10 minutes of waiting for the check, the waiter told me that it’s policy that the patron goes to the cashier to ask for the check. I’ve never had this happened to me before in any eating establishment. So why are we leaving a tip if the waiter doesn’t want to deliver the check to the customers. Next thing they’re gonna ask us to pick up our food from the kitchen also. This is my last trip to this diner.
So I usually dont make reviews on resturants nor diners but I feel like this has to be said. So one day I got take out from the diner. I saw that their cheese burger was $13. I ordered, picked it up, and payed for the food. One problem was the burger went from $13 to $21. I was shocked and questioned why the price increased by a lot. I was thinking it was a fee of some sort. So I went back another day and dinned in. I ordered a burger which costed $16 and everything was fine until the bill came. Same thing happened, bumped to $22. So as I paid I questioned the front desk guy about it. He told me that the $16 is for the burger itself. It was $5.50 plus tax, EXTRA for a side of fries and lettuce and tomatoe. The food was good but not $6 extra good. The waiter should've told me before hand about the fries and the other "additional" extra costs. They did not do that until I asked about it. The reason why Im complaining is cause almost every single resturant I went to they always notify if the sides you order comes with the meal or not. This diner did not do that and essencially ripped me and probably a lot of other people off. Im never ordering nor coming into this diner again.
I’ve been a steady weekend regular, always ordering a veggie omelette with a $6 side of grilled chicken. This time I was charged $10.25 for a chicken sandwich instead and told the menu had changed, with no willingness from the manager to honor the usual price. Disappointing way to treat a regular, so I won't be back.
