Absolutely wonderful everything! Despite being packed, we ordered and got our drinks, chips and salsa within minutes. Placed our order, and our food came out fast. I can’t say how long it took, but everything was hot and great!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited La Cantina in Lufkin, Texas, with a large group during a busy time, and I was so impressed by how accommodating the staff was! Despite the rush, they made sure we were seated comfortably and taken care of promptly. The service was exceptional, and to top it off, they had my favorite Topo Chico with limes in stock, which made the experience even better. It’s always great to find a place that can handle a big crowd without compromising on quality service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a beautifully decorated restaurant! Very clean and organized. There was plenty is parking and we had the best and very attentive host & wait staff. We had chips, salsa, and an order of white queso. It was delicious! We had ordered a cup of charro beans and nachos. I think everything on the menu is tasty.

We were so hungry, wanted Mexican food and ended coming here. Food was delicious, we got a parrillada for 3 because some restaurants are stingy lol but we couldn't eat it all. They had some of the best charro beans we have ever had. Will definitely come back when we are in town.

Ordered from the lunch menu and the kids menu. Restaurant was clean and staff was fast. Wasn't busy on a Wednesday afternoon. I had the 2 chicken enchilada plate, which was served with refried beans, rice, and a small tortilla bowl of queso cheese. The chicken was good, not over cooked and dry, and the Spanish rice and beans were wonderful. The enchilada sauce was good, not spicy. The burger and fries were standard fare and my son said they're very good. The buns in particular looked very good and he devoured his fries. The chips served before the meals were very good and the green sauce was delicious. The red salsa was typical for a Mexican restaurant, not too spicy. Overall, I look forward to coming back and getting something off their full menu, the shrimp items sounded very good 😊. Highly recommended 👍

First time attending. Went because TWO separate clients on the SAME day mentioned this restaurant. There were several sections with space but we were in an area with plastic barriers above benches, but did not extend very high for protection in air. People, including us, were NOT spaced accordingly and instead at every table. Kids were also allowed to play unattended at the ice cream machine without masks and touch all over everything in that area, including the cones. Frozen drinks were NOT frozen so for a non-drinker like myself, the liquid un-frozen margarita was a waste because I couldn't drink it. Staff was friendly and food was tasty. Loved the Verde dip. Husband LOVED his steak and shrimp.

The husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. They had an amazing special going on, including the El Jefe with an appetizer and dessert. The food was excellent! They did bring the food out very quickly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there was a lot on the table! Overall we had a great dinner!

Food is excellent. Average prices. Waiter could've been more attentive. I don't like having to to wave and ask for things...multiple times. I also don't like automatically added gratuity. Certainly not worth what I was charged. Bad service doesn't deserve any tip. Too busy playing on his phone at the bar.

The service was nothing extraordinary, but our server was nice. The taco salad quickly filled up with water as I was eating it. I'm not sure if it was from the lettuce, meat, or sauce. Everything else was fine. The atmosphere was easy to carry on conversations. It was full for lunch.

I normally eat in the restaurant, but I decided to take to go. I asked for habanero hot sauce, and did not get it. The portion was half the amount I get when I eat in and I spent $38.00 on fajitas mixed, didn't even get the amount of beans and rice. I normally do when I go in the store me and my husband both can share a fajita for 1 normally. Upon calling them, they said, that's the amount they give in the restaurant. Big joke Did not care that they left stuff off or anything? Will not get takeout from there again. Very unhappy Don't know if I'll even go back.

First time eating here and I'm not impressed. Food is very bland, no flavor, no seasoning. We got the Polo Loco, it had wayyy too much cheese and very greasy. Tried the house frozen margarita and ewwwfff not one hint of lime, the margarita was white and no flavor at all. My first margarita in all my years that I sent back. The waiter (his name started w/a T) was friendly, didn't bring us a glass of water the entire time we were there, spoke broken English and it wasn't good. Fernando the bus boy was very nice and so helpful, spoke broken English, but we could understand him. This establishment was very clean and atmosphere was great. You can get an ice cream cone on your way out and that tasted as it should. If you want bland food with no flavor this is your place. Go next door better tasting food and margaritas!!! I'm sorry, but we will not be back.
