Very tasty vegan options. Excellent wine & beer. Loud atmosphere. Service is wonderful!!

Tavern On The Square Bedford was all around outstanding. The quality of service, food, and general atmosphere were nothing short of great!! Tonight we had the pleasure of trying the bang bang broccoli and the steakhouse burger. I can’t say enough great things. Lastly, seven words and seven words only…ask.for.Joe.to.be.your.SERVER!!!!!!!

Great new place in Bedford. We had the steak burgers which were juicy and delicious. The parm, rosemary fries were also excellent. We sat at the huge bar and service and beverages were spot on. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Went today for dinner. Had fish & chips and the bolognese. Both were very good. Service was excellent!

First time there ( Thursday 12/18/25), got there at 11:35, they open at 11:30. Parking was a bit of a pain. It’s limited however I think it’s because of all the new places that are there. We were sat right away, Sophin our sever was promptly at the table, the host was great too. Our friend was late but we ordered right away! We both had the Tuscan chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes with the sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms cream sauce! It was delicious! My chicken was just a hair dry, but not overly so, I actually ordered more sauce for the potatoes because it was so good! I forgot to take a picture because I was so hungry! Sophin ( I apologize if I’m not spelling correctly) was excellent! I will go back after the holidays and hopefully it won’t be too hard to park next time! Very nice experience!

Food was amazing- as were drinks! Atmosphere was great and comfy. Not sure if the girl at the front was having a bad day…. we all have those, but she wasn’t super friendly and didn’t seem to happy to be there. The wait for the food was a little long but definitely worth it! We will definitely be back!

Had a great lunch at Tavern in the Square today! The atmosphere was nice and the food was great however what really made our dining experience stand out was our server Dan. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We were calling him Dan the man before our food even came out because he was taking such good care of us. Not only was the service phenomenal but Dan was super friendly and charismatic and really brightened our day :)

Went at 1pm on a friday and it was pretty busy. Had a reservation and got seated pretty much instantly which was great! Staff was all super nice and the food was delicious! (Nachos starter, korean bbq sandwich, chicken pasta and donuts for dessert) Only downside right now is that since its so popular it does take a little longer for food to come out during peak times but still worth it overall!

Wonderful place. I have never had a bad experience at either this location or the Tuscan location. Food is consistent. Wait staff is friendly. I always find myself getting something new and never being disappointed. From the salmon to the burgers to any mix of their handhelds, they are good. I have to order the pretzels before we even get drinks every time.

It was my first time at this location last night out with a friend and I left my purse . I called in the morning and they looked everywhere for it. I gave my information in case it turned up and within 2 minutes I got a call back that they had found it!! I can’t thank them enough! The food was amazing. The server was awesome! Can’t wait to go back for another date!

I had an excellent experience at Tavern Square in Bedford. The food was amazing—especially the burgers, which had excellent flavor and high-quality meat. The environment was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, even though the restaurant was extremely busy as they have recently opened. The staff were very friendly and attentive which made the visit even better. Linda, who is in management, was outstanding. She ensured our reservations were all set, checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything was accurate and to our liking, and greeted us with genuine warmth. Her professionalism, knowledge, and care truly elevated our experience. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great-quality meals, generous portion sizes, and fair prices. We’ll definitely be returning!

Today was my first time here and certainly will not be the last. The food was fast, fresh and delicious. The service and atmosphere were top notch as well.

I usually go to the Nashua location, new location opened so I figured I would give it a try - Danny was FANTASTIC, extremely attentive, polite and all around just AMAZING! The food was divine but you can never beat stand up service. 10/10 give the man a raise! Would 100% go back!!

This is the best place to open in the Bedford/Manchester area in quite some time. It is always busy nearly every day of the week, but no matter what, the bartender John pays close attention every customer in the restaurant. His service is impeccable as he’s very kind and makes excellent drinks. I highly recommend visiting him here.

Her attention to detail, kindness, and genuine professionalism truly stood out. You can tell she loves what she does — she checked in on us throughout the night, made sure everything was perfect, and went above and beyond to make our visit special. Linda is an absolute gem and a huge asset to this restaurant. Because of her, we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Awesome food and a lot of vegan options. Service was excellent and John our bartender was amazing, he helps us pick a dink and food and everything was delicious. 😊😊

Place was awesome. The waitress was super kind. Apparently there was a mishap with our burgers which made it take a little longer ans the manager came out to apologize personally. Atmosphere was awesome, good was phenomenal and the staff are amazing. Def will be back!

We went there Saturday night and had a fantastic experience thanks to our bartender Brandon and the delicious food. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, nice and really made our dining experience something to remember. The food was fabulous, bang bang shrimp, and steak I’m already craving to come back for more! The atmosphere and location cannot be beat. You’ll see us coming back next week and probably every week to visit Brandon! Thank you!

First time at this location. Loved the atmosphere, friendly greeting and excellent communication on table wait status!!! Our waitress was Jess and she was helpful, friendly, and kept checking with us. I tried the wings but first we had the whipped feta, it was phenomenal!!! My family had a nice time and a good meal!!!

Came here for brunch. First time at this location. We shared the blueberry monkey bread and the donuts of the day which were red velvet. The monkey bread was a savory treat. For our mains the burrito and skillet had delicious tater tots that were cooked crispy on the outside and just right in the middle. Both meals had great flavor and were hearty. We saw the pancakes from another table and will have to try that next. Overall great experience and value for your money. We got reservations as it can be busy there on the weekend but it’s a large space so I’m sure walk-ins are fine.

Manchester needed a restaurant / bar like this - my husband said who grew up in NH. We walked in and the high ceiling gives the open and welcoming feel. We ordered a salad and general tso’s chicken w teo beer. General tso’s chicken was delicious. The chicken was not heavily battered which was different fron what I generally had in other restaurants. Broccoli in the dish was also good, but the rice can be cooked a bit better. It was quite mushy. I ordered salad with steak and it was okay. I believe a good salad has a good balance of flavor and texture - sweet/sour/nutty/crunch and the salad i ordered was missing sth in my taste. Perhaps, they can add picked (or regular red) onions or sth. It was overall a bit too bland.

John was our server today for lunch and he was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed at every moment! we had the mac and cheese with bacon and the Korean crispy chicken handheld sandwich that was amazing! Thank you for amazing service and food always! The salted carmel espresso martini was also amazing!

Ate lunch here on 12/22/25 and thought it was excellent. The sandwich and fries I had were delicious. And the staff could not have been more friendly if they tried. Gracious and helpful. All Of them. I don’t live in that area, but will definitely go back to that restaurant when I visit there again.

Always been a huge fan of Tavern In The Square so when one finally opened up in New Hampshire; I got so excited! The staff is wonderful & always working so hard. One particular bartender named Brian always goes above & beyond when I show up. Super friendly, fast service & makes the BEST espresso martini ever! Always hoping hes working when I come in (which is pretty often)

I’m a frequent customer and come here pretty regularly, so this review is coming from someone who actually eats here a lot, not a one-time visit. Overall, Tavern in the Square is a solid spot downtown. The atmosphere is great, drinks are good, and it’s almost always busy which says a lot. The bar staff especially does a nice job handling crowds and the cocktail menu is fun, even though the drink consistency can vary a bit depending on the night. Food quality is generally good and there are a lot of menu options, but lately I’ve noticed a couple things holding it back. Many dishes tend to be very salty, and some items come out with a texture that makes them seem more pre-prepared than made-to-order. I could be mistaken, but it sometimes feels like certain components may not be fully fresh, especially during peak hours. Despite that, I keep coming back because the service is friendly, the vibe is lively, and it’s one of the better social spots in Manchester. I just think dialing back the salt and tightening up food consistency would make a noticeable improvement. Still a place I’d recommend — just with a few tweaks it could easily be a 5-star experience.

Excited to have a place like this in Bedford. Was in there on a Sunday and sat at the bar for a quick lunch. The salad I had was freshly made and the service was great and attentive. I had wings as well which were ok. Very well done but I would prefer that over undercooked. Will come back to try more on the menu . Nice to have a late night spot in Bedford like this too!

I almost didn’t write this but I think it’s important enough to know. Almost everything was fantastic. I sat at the bar for a quick drink and a few appetizers for dinner. The martini was delicious, the broccoli and dumplings were divine. Most of the bartenders were amazing. I have been to many tavern locations and this location was certainly up to par until I was done eating. I had started to clean up my area and put my silverware, and a few bits of garbage into the empty plate of dumplings. Then I remembered I wanted to pour the sauce from the dumplings on the broccoli but it was too late, so I asked the short red head bartender (I never got her name) for a box and a new side of the dumpling sauce to go. She politely said yes and offered to box up my food for me. It was very pleasant until I watched her walk to the other side of the bar where she didn’t think I could see her and take the bits of trash, fruit, and paper (that had been sitting out on the bar) off the dumpling plate and pour the remnants into a to go container. She brought it over to me with a smile and I decided not to cause a scene. But my leftover broccoli and dumpling went right into the trash when I got home. Apparently it was too much work to walk to the kitchen for a sauce to go. It’s a real shame. I was having an excellent experience, but one lazy person ruined it. I won’t be back to the Bedford location.

Foods great love the place but after months of being open still can’t do takeout is pretty frustrating I’ve waited months for a tits near me and now I can’t even get takeout! I’ve been to many other locations that seem to run a lot more efficiently I hope they can work out the kinks to match the quality of other stores

It's difficult for me not to give 5 star reviews, so here is why I only rated Tavern in the Square three stars. First, the food and the service rate as five stars. The staff was professional and clearly well trained. Next, the food was great, prepared as requested and served in an attractive manner. The issue arises when you arrive and there are 14 parking spaces for a restaurant that must seat over 100. I had to circle the 'square' twice before parking in a neighboring restaurant's parking lot. That's not cool... Finally, every surface in the interior of the restaurant is hard and reflects sound. The sound level in the restaurant made conversation with my guest across the table difficult. I don't understand why restaurants choose such a decor. Although the food and service were excellent, I don't plan to return in the future.

Food was good although although a little too complicated unnecessarily. The service however was awful. Not just our server but all servers with the exception of the bartenders were more concerned with texting. Our server disappeared after taking our order. 1 of our meals came out while it took 15 mins and some attitude before the manager came out with our second meal. Both, by this time were cold.

The food was just ok. The restaurant across the street does brunch better. Service is terrible. This place is over priced for mediocre food and terrible service.

Went in last night at 12 website said they do a late night menu till 12:30. Server asked us if we were drinking and we asked if the kitchen was still open and she said no and sent us on our way. There was a pretty full bar and tables in.

We gave this place 3 chances! First time it took 20 mins to be greeted by the server. Awful service. 2nd time was a lot better John the bartender made it a great time. 3rd time samething as the 1st. Sat at the bar for 15 mins and not a single bartender greeted us but served the people who came in after us and they got a food order in. As we left we let the manger know and she tried to make it better with a small gift card but after this we wont be back. 50/50 change on if you will get service or not.
