Opinions de The Morii Coffee Bellaire
Cute coffee shop in Chinatown Solid coffee with a lovely interior. Their beignets are a great snack - not too sweet even when paired with the provided honey dip.
WOW! This is the best Vietnamese coffee I’ve ever had. I ordered the latte, per the barista’s suggestion. This has less ice but it’s just as flavorful. The matcha isn’t the best, but this drink alone deserves all the praise.
I moved to Houston from New Orleans and have been searching high and low for a place to scratch the beignet itch and this is definitely the place! Had both the regular and matcha beignets and both were light, airy, and delicious! The honey they give you with it is also shockingly good with floral and orange (I think) flavors to it. The coffee was no slouch either and I got the cold brew and it was super smooth and tasty. I can't rave about this place enough! Great vibes and even better food! I'll definitely be returning
I walked in & it was very quiet! Only 2 people in here. Found a spot & an outlet that worked (Thank God, my computer is old) & ordered! I know this place has been promoted for matcha but I didn’t get it because I came at around 5pm & I didn’t want caffeine that late. However, I love lychee & decided to give the lychee lemonade a try! My total was $11 (before tip). Everything was delish & staff was nice! I’ll be back for sure <3
Such a cute and cozy coffee shop nestled in Chinatown. It gets full marks for atmosphere and vibe. I absolutely loved the shabby chic vintage vibes. Food was great. Highly recommend the half and half beignets. They came out fresh and hot with a some floral tasting honey. Cinnamon sugar latte was delicious. Not too sweet and the cinnamon flavor was just right. Cappuccino was also good. Pro tip: I added some of the honey that came with the beignets and it leveled up the coffee. Will be coming back to try their other coffee drinks.
Such a cute little place! The service was friendly and pleasant, and the beignets were tasty! We got a mix of plan and matcha beignets plus the dragon fruit lemonade tea and a matcha drink. Very nice!! Morii's closes at 9PM. I would recommend skipping coffee and dessert at your restaurant and finishing the night with great conversation at this adorable little place off Bellaire near Corporate Rd. 😉
I was immediately obsessed with this place. Off the beaten path, super cozy, simple but unique menu, great quality coffee, great prices, beautiful packaging and decor, friendly staff. I wish they had different sizes, but appreciate the simplicity. It was very busy, but still very chill. I was getting my order to go, so didn't need a place to sit today. If I do, I won't be going at 3pm, but I'll definitely be a regular! One thing that may be helpful, Google Maps shows the business to be in the same spot as Sweet Memes, with the entrance in the back, but it's actually a couple of doors down, past Mein.
What a fantastic place to sit down, drink delicious coffee, and eat a yummy looking pastry. The atmosphere is perfect with a good balance of plants and space. There were plenty of seating arrangements and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
Enjoy amazing roasted Colombe Coffee your way accompanied by calm music. A beautiful place to relax, grab a book, and indulge in house crafted beignets! If you’re hungry for a snack, they have traditional Japanese street food bites as well! Would highly recommend if you’re in H-Town. The owner is the sweetest person!
As an avid coffee shop connoisseur, this one is a winner. Very light and charming vibes, good coffee and snack options (beignets hello), generally quiet for working or studying, a good amount of seating available, outlets by all of the wall tables. I’ll be back again for sure. It is among my top choices of coffee shops in the area.
Quiet shabby chic vibe. People of multiple ethnicities quietly chatting and studying. It reminds me of NYC and Paris and it’s set a block back from the craziness of Bellaire. The matcha is spot on

This was our first visit to Morii. We'd been here before when it was Blkdog Coffee. The blended drinks were really good. My wife got a Chai tea blend and I went with a tasty espresso blended drink. We had them hold the whip on both drinks. Got some Colombe coffee beans too......we'll be back. Friendly service and great drinks.
Good place to get matcha and other drinks around Bellaire. This place is a great spot to sit down and study. They have a large menu of drinks and food items too. The place is cheaper compared to most places I know in houston. I also noticed the drink I got which was very tasty, it had a foam and ice that made up most of the drink. The beignets were good, I've had better. Overall good spot and I'd come back!
Morii Coffee is a wonderful place for a little study or work session when you need a little sweet treat. The atmosphere is light, airy, and open, with a bohemian vibe to the decoration. My favorite items I tried were actually not the coffee, but the lemonade! The lychee and mango black tea lemonades were SO good. They were smooth, fresh, and refreshing. Very sweet in the best way possible. The coffee was good, but nothing special in our opinion. My highest recommendation to you is to ask for light ice in the drink, the normal amount of ice is a little heavy handed, leaving little room for your drink. Overall, we thought Morii Coffee was a good place to get your drink fix, especially while working, but you *have* to ask for light ice. I’d love to come back again sometime and try the food!
So… Morii Coffee got a glow-up. Or maybe a full identity cleanse. I’m not saying my one-star review triggered a shift in the universe, but… I came back and suddenly there’s new ownership, new staff, and a little sign that basically says, “Same drinks, but now we’re actually nice!” 😂 The space still has that whole French country thing going on — chill lighting, soft colors, cute little tables — but now it feels more functional. Like, I could actually bring my laptop here without feeling like I’m disturbing the aesthetic. There’s even a big bench table for people like me who carry 17 devices and need room to overthink life decisions. I tried the dragon fruit lemonade — super refreshing, not too sweet, and they didn’t drown it in ice (respect). The karaage (Japanese fried chicken)… hmm. It came out in chicken finger–style strips. Juicy, yes. Crunchy? Not really. It was giving “almost,” but the spicy mayo tried its best to make up for it. We’ve all been there. Didn’t get to try the puff — which everyone else seems to love — but the regret is already brewing, so I’ll probably be back for that. Also: outlets! Outside tables! Actual quiet! Basically, this coffee shop in Chinatown redeemed itself. Not perfect, but chill enough to make the regulars forgive and forget. Maybe.
It doesn’t have too many outlets if you don’t secure a table next to the wall, can be good for studying if you don’t come at a busy time. Good WiFi, coffee, and temperature, Google says it’s not busy Sundays at 3 but it is quite loud at this time, definitely a cute spot I’d come back to :)
The staff were really nice, but the location was kind of in the middle of nowhere and it was really packed in the afternoon. Other than that, most people come here to study so the place is pretty quiet. I told them no sugar, but the drink still came out too sweet.
The atmosphere and staff were awesome! I got the yuzu yakult drink and it tasted very good. But it mostly tasted like yakult with a hint of yuzu. I don’t know if ifs because I took big sips, but I drank the drink too quickly. It seemed like the drink was mostly ice but it was still tasty to drink, wish I just had more! I sat working near the bathrooms and sometimes you get a whiff of the bathroom smell so that was one down side. Overall, this cafe is a super cute and tasty cafe for chatting and/or talking!
I try a lot of coffee shops and decided to stop at this place because they had good reviews . My coffee was really good. I rate the coffee here at about 8 out of 10. I also ordered those tater tots, which were so good,10/10.They were made fresh and very crispy. I can just come to this place and eat a basket of tater tots with a cup of coffee. For studying this was a pretty good place. It was pretty quiet. A lunch crowd came in and it got a bit loud but after they left it became quiet and peaceful and I was able to get a lot of homework done.. Overall, I enjoyed this place and will become a regular here.

The coffee was okay—nothing particularly special—but the decoration is really cute and the place has a nice vibe
What I thought was going to be a nice experience, gave me anxiety. The staff was wonderful. I ordered my food and coffee, went to sit and as I'm eating I notice movement. There were roaches climbing up the chair and book shelves trying to get to the table. I lost my appetite for my order. Dropped my order off at the counter and checked my purse and jacket to make she I didnt carry any unwanted passengers with me.
It’s a cute spot, but that’s about the only redeeming value this place has. When I went inside, I asked what their best selling matcha drink was and I got what they said - a normal iced matcha, nothing special and nothing I can’t get at an ordinary donut shop. I got their karaage which was overly fried, chewy and had virtually no flavor. Their spicy mayo it came with wasnt good either. They kind of force a tip on you with the machine and then don’t even call out your number or even your name, they just put the food there on the counter for you to grab and on top of that they expect you to throw away your trash yourself - so what are we tipping for? The men’s restroom was also broken and it said to use the women’s bathroom. I’m a dude and this didn’t sit right with me - I feel like this could put women at risk. The staff also had angry look on their faces - this place didn’t feel welcoming at all. Overall, I don’t recommend this place. There’s so much better out there.
