Opinions de Lavender & Honey Beverly Hills
My sister-in-law who lives here in Redondo Beach stopped by Lavender & Honey for pastries before meeting us for brunch and snagged some Matcha Scones for us. She knows I’m a hardcore foodie and pastries are my weakness. Haha. I love a good scone but it’s usually hit or miss as scones have a tendency to be very dry. Luckily for me, this was a win. The scones were not dry at all but more moist than anything. The matcha flavor wasn’t super strong so it was a good hint of matcha. Lavender & Honey has been on my list so next time I’m in town I hope to stop by and check out the store and grab some coffee and pastries.
This place has a nice food menu as well as solid coffee. I got a turkey club sandwich and a latte. The wifi was free. I went around 12:30p on a Monday and the place was pretty busy. All tables on the inside had people posted up on their laptops like they sit there all day.
Friendly baristas, bright light pouring in through tall windows, and smooth jazz from a Marshall speaker set the tone. The grab and go fridge makes it easy if you are in a rush, while the shelves of merchandise, artisanal chocolates, and pastries invite you to linger. The patio opens onto Aviation Boulevard, where the city hums by as you sip. Lavender & Honey is cheerful, effortless, and exactly the kind of café you return to again and again.
I started my day in the best way at Lavender & Honey. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a ham & cheese croissant—both were delicious! 10/10 would recommend. This was my first visit to the Redondo location, though I’ve been to the Pasadena spot many times before. The new location is such a great addition! It offers a lot more space while keeping the same cute and modern atmosphere. I was nervous about parking because I read some reviews saying that the parking was a headache, but I found a spot right away. There were a few available when I arrived. I loved exploring the market goods section—they even have a refrigerator stocked with to-go items, which is such a thoughtful touch if you’re in a rush. One of the standout features of this location is how kid and family-friendly it is. There's a cozy little nook in the corner with board games and activities, making it perfect for families or groups of friends to hang out. Even though there was a steady line the entire time I was there, the staff handled it very well, so I didn’t have to wait long to get my order. Highly recommend stopping by! I can’t wait to visit again.
Great spot to try out. Happy to bump into it. They bake pastries and bread fresh. Their coffee is great and they have plenty of seating. Their parking can be a little hard to find sometimes. They have a small lot but there’s street parking around it. It was pretty busy and we didn’t find a seat however there are plenty of seats so I’m sure more than likely you can get one most times. It was very calm and nice and people were working on their laptops as well as just having nice conversations with people. The staff was kind and our order came out nice and fresh.
Super nice and posh coffee place. Great coffee, food, and pastries. Love the vibe there and they have all these nice local food products to purchase. The ginger matcha date scone was out of control and their toasts are really nice. Try the salted caramel latte!
This was my first time at Lavender & Honey—but definitely not my last. I live within walking distance, and it’s officially my new go-to spot for a caffeine fix with a twist. I tried two items from their spring menu: the chili crisp toast and the pistachio honey latte—and wow. Both were packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and almost as good as the incredible service. The space itself is airy, light, and bright—exactly the kind of vibe I love for a morning or mid-afternoon reset (especially when I’m not drinking, lol). Whether you’re a coffee purist or into something more playful, this little gem in North Redondo hits all the right notes. Highly recommend!
This place is bright and cheerful. There is a patio for the sun lovers. You’ll find games for indoor fun. The food is amazing! The latte was delicious. It’s a must try. Vegan and gluten free options. Kid friendly. I tried the turkey cranberry sandwich and the cinnamon honey latte WC accessible, limited handicap parking
Super cute coffee shop with very friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. I got the honey lavender latte with oat milk, a little less sweet, and it was delicious. Their small parking lot was handy but there's also street parking in front and on side streets so that makes visiting much more appealing.
Beautiful fresh new coffee spot and cafe located on Aviation Blvd in Redondo Beach at the corner of Steinhart Ave. The interior is very comfortable and the food is outstanding. The turkey sandwich is served on delicious bread and is a better sandwich than most delis put out. The drinks were equally amazing with a very tasty blueberry lavender concoction and the standard iced latte was top notch. The everything toast with cream cheese and avocado plus all the special spices was a great take on the ever present toast craze. The service was fast and friendly and they have a lovely patio out front as well as the spacious dining room inside. With an interesting drink menu and great food it is easy to see why they are always busy!

I ordered the brown sugar latte with oat milk iced. So delicious. Coffee is superb! And the match scone was perfect, the icing was the perfect sweetness and the scone was baked to perfection with a slight crunch on the outside. Oh, and they are dog friendly!! Sat at an outside with my pooch
Nice local coffee shop and cafe. Drinks have good flavor profiles and are well made. Cute latte art as well. Their market is cute - lots of fun condiments and snacks. Food menu is a bit limited but some solid options have rotated through. Their tomato toast with Flavor Society’s pizza-flavored chile crisp was a personal favorite. Wish they baked on-site, but you can’t have it all.
Anyone who has not tried out our new Coffee Shop Lavender & Honey in Redondo Beach you're missing out. I have been to the shop twice since they opened last week and tried multiple drinks & food. They have the best coffee I have ever had and all of the toast varieties are fantastic. I had a Salad and Sandwich for lunch on one of the visits and was very impressed. The Salad was Fresh very tasty and the Baguette's they serve with the Sandwiches was amazing. The people and service were top notched and inside and out they did an amazing job with the lay out and ambiance. This coffee shop is very family oriented.

Lavender and Honey, Redondo Beach Review Stopped by Lavender and Honey for breakfast after finding out Tommy and Atticus next door was closed on a Monday. This spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise! It’s a cool, laid-back place to hang out in the morning. While it doesn’t have the huge selection of baked goods like some other spots, they make up for it with unique breakfast sandwiches and pastries that hit the spot. The lavender-flavored coffees were our favorites —really well-balanced and not overpowering. The interior is roomy with a calming pastel colors that makes it a great place to start the day. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. Only downside is the limited parking, so you might need to circle a bit. Definitely worth a visit for a chill breakfast!
The summer special of chili crunch toast did not disappoint! The lavender and honey latte is a must order for obvious reasons but it is just that good! Cute vibe and friendly people!

Great service! Mornings can be busy especially getting parking on their small lot up front.
good atmosphere, average service. they are understaffed for the 7-8am crowd. we didn't have any breakfast food at home so my husband and I opted to try something new on the way to work. showed up at about 7:10, so they had just opened, and waited half an hour for our food and drinks. we got a mocha, white cherry matcha latte, a peachy parfait and the honey pistachio toast (which I only ordered because pastry options were already so limited). none of it tasted like it was worth the $30 spent (!!?). I expected the pistachio toast to be sweet, but they loaded it up with what I believe might be everything bagel seasoning, so I was unpleasantly surprised by how onion & garlicy it tasted. it looked good, but missed the mark on flavor - all onion and garlic, no honey and pistachio. the white cherry matcha just tasted like a regular matcha without any extra flavors. the peachy parfait was probably not worth the $7 paid, but I would give it four stars. a little too much cinnamon but I was so put off by the onion flavor of the toast that anything sweet was welcome. definitely the best-tasting thing we got. the mocha was average, there was nothing special about it and that's okay. scale of 1 to 5 I'd give this restaurant 3 stars for breakfast (meaning it's completely average, not the best thing I've ever had but certainly not the worst). by no means do I want to bash on the business, but it's has so many good reviews I thought it would be worth stopping in. unfortunately it did not live up to the hype and I do not plan to return.
Ordered online to save time. Instead, I got my usual parking scavenger hunt and a lecture about how I was supposed to announce my arrival so they could start my drink. So… what was the point of ordering ahead? No apology, just confusion. Maybe the cute ( male) customers get better service. BTW, this drink was for my boss—y’all are lucky I didn’t tell him how I was treated. 😌
Cute place but they served me a stale muffin and when I politely asked for something else they said “sorry. No can do. If you want anything else you’ll have to pay for it”. So to the owner I say, let young people work at your store but don’t let them make policy. If a customer returns something because it’s stale (which it WAS - maybe don’t serve it), you let them choose setting else instead. In FACT, you APOLOGIZE for the serving the stale item and allow them to choose something else. If that’s your policy (which it should be), you need to tell your staff.

Disappointed this time around. I’ve been a loyal customer of Lavender and Honey since they opened in the neighborhood, and I’ve always loved the vibe, the drinks, and the overall experience. But I left today feeling a disheartened. My husband and I came in to try the new spring menu and ordered two drinks: the pistachio latte and the espresso with tonic water and Cara Cara orange syrup. When asked how we wanted them, we said “hot,” assuming both drinks could be made that way. The espresso drink came iced, and we were told afterward that it can’t be made hot—which is totally fine, but that wasn’t clear from the menu, and it wasn’t communicated at the time we ordered and requested hot. Unfortunately, the drink ended up being too bitter for my husband to enjoy. When I went back in to explain, the barista kindly offered to remake it, which I appreciated. I returned back to my husband to see what he would want. But when I returned later to request a warm alternative, I was told we’d need to pay for the new drink, even though the original was barely touched and didn’t work out due to the miscommunication. Ultimately, we left without the second drink, and the experience just left us feeling a bit dismissed. I understand policies are policies, but what would have gone a long way was a little more flexibility or even clearer communication from the start. Especially for regulars who genuinely love your shop, moments like this can shift the tone of the whole experience. It’s a shame because I loved my pistachio latte.

I ordered the lavender honey latte which is supposedly their signature drink —but it turned out to be so bland and tasteless . When I asked for more honey —the server said they can’t give me more because they have a specific grade of honey they only put in. What ???! … the drink is bland, tasteless and nothing like lavender or honey .. The baguette was tough and hard and the huge amount of goat cheese on it was overpowering on the very thin slice of limited prosciutto . The only good thing about this coffee shop was the products they sell —all unique and looks yummy but after my experience with the actual coffee and food —I could not bring myself to buy it. Better coffee shops in area . These might have the ambiance but the actual preparation of the food is meh. .

Honestly, this place is soooo not worth the wait and hype. Waited 30 minutes for a milk dominant plain latte. I kindly asked them to remake it because I could hardly taste the coffee and they did the exact same thing. Waiting 30+ minutes for mediocre coffee is not something I’d like to repeat. So many better coffee shops in the South Bay
