What an amazing Italian restaurant located in Montana! Let’s start off with the complimentary bread and olive dip its by far the yummiest “bread and butter” I have ever had everything is always so fresh and so flavorful but my favorite thing about this place is the speed everything comes out so fast it’s amazing! I LOVE the Caesar salad with chicken it’s so so good honestly you can’t order anything wrong here. I like to try different entrees every-time I come here and tonight I decided to order the homemade Pappardelle Porcini which was sooo good! I love a good mushroom cream sauce and the size of the noodle was just perfection. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu! Highly recommended good italian restaurant!

A friend invited me to lunch this week here and it was fantastic. We arrived just in time to order the lunch specials, served til 3:00pm. I ordered the cheese pizza with their house salad. Steven the waiter greeted us with warm bread, whuch they make daily, and served with oil and balsamic vinegar. I believe the cook waits for the diners to finish their starters before cooking the entrees, keen eye. I was starving and are all my salad and cheese pizza. The best part is yet to come, when Steven brings over the most delicious Spumoni ice cream I've ever tasted, and made in house. Wow!!! Parking is in back of restaurant and they do have outside dining of you like. Lunch specials were priced low so 2 people could eat for around $25. Great place on Montana that serves awesome Italian food with great employees and say hello to the owner, he's usually around.

Fresh home made pasta and ravioli are great, salads option are awesome, good service much better than we usually get in LA, nice interior and dishware, amazing Montana ave street view through really clean windows.

Today was the first time I went to this restaurant. It was 11 30 am and we were the first customers for the day . The service was outstanding.The owner was there and he was welcoming and fun. The food was delicious. As someone who spends a lot of time vacationing on the Amalfi Coast and spoiled by the amazing real italian food I have to admit that my skirt steak salad tested almost like the salads that I am use to in Positano or Ravello. The seasoning was liTE yet flavorful and the meat was grilled to perfection. I would add some pine nuts but that's me . The coffee was fantastic and the prices are incredible. I strongly recommend this beautiful place and I cant wait to visit their Mexican restaurant that is apparently right across the street.

Hidden Gem. First time visitor to Santa Monica from Joisey where we know our Italian food. We ordered three different fish with pasta meals. Food was excellent and the price was right.

Reasonable prices, good customer service, Amazing Food! The Gnocci, the branzino, the lobster ravioli, the linguini vongole the pizza, the steak and lobster, the insalata caprese, I wish they had steak pizzaiola and Braciolo. The most Italian inspired American restaurant on montana that doesn't discriminate against poor people like me.

This was absolutely fabulous! The complementary bread with tapenade and the calamari (incredibly tender - best I’ve ever had) really stood out. Also enjoyed the salads we got.

Very impressed with Spumoni. They had made a mistake with my original order and when I spoke to Fausto at Spumoni, he offered a complimentary meal to be redelivered. Not to be hyperbolic, but I've been earing at Spumoni since the SM location opened aroubd 1995 or '96 and I've never had a single bad meal at Spumoi. No matter the location, the dishes are 100% of the time outstanding. And I'll fight a y man who says otherwise. The reason spunoni is so outstanding is b/c Nando runs a tight ship and is an amazing restaurantaur.

Fantastic menu and great location. The handmade pastas are especially good and interesting. Big portions, reasonable prices. I eat here once or twice a month.

My third trip to visit my granddaughter who lives nearby and my first stop at Spumoni’s... it is amazing ambiance and pizza and pasta and wine and sports TV... great wait staff... perfect location for many AirBnB’s... you can bring your own bottle for a cork fee... I will be back in many visits to see my granddaughter!

We are missing our favorite family restaurant Spumoni. We were regulars here on Sundays, with our two boys and our little white and grey husky, seated outdoors. Victor was usually our waiter and he poured us bottomless Sangiovese (maybe sympathetic to parents :) Sometimes the owner would bring us tiramisu on the house. This place has great Marsala and truffle gnocchi when that special is available, and otherwise dishes for everyone including pasta w butter for the kids. This rating is about the staff, family friendly and authentic Italian hospitality. We miss you Spumoni and hope we get to see you soon!

We had a cheese pizza, homemade red sauce pasta with pork rinds and the calamari and they were all very well done. The service was great to top it off. The only regret is that i wish I came here sooner. 5 stars from me, no doubt.

Walked in with my dad, sat at counter, then followed all of servers recommendations. Started with house red wines, bread with olive tapenade, and chopped salad. Main courses of Capellini alla Checca and their special shellfish pasta. Finished with Ricotta & Pistachio Cake. Everything was exceptionally delicious. Fabulously friendly atmosphere and service. I just had the 2 best delivery dinners, Linguini with shrimp, from Spumoni (Santa Monica). Before Covid I went there all the time. I ordered from them at least 3 times a week during Covid and it got me through the pandemic. It's more fun to go there; Great atmosphere, Great waiters and a great neighborhood restaurant. Food is exellent and so resonably priced. Thank you to Stephen and Fausto. It's rare to have such a gem of a restaurant in Santa Monica.

Neighborhood Italian eatery with 50% off food on Mondays from 5pm-9pm. They also have happy hour every day. I’ve been here a few times and really enjoyed the handmade pastas. The funghi pasta is very creamy with al dente pasta. The chicken and mushroom pasta is also a good choice if you want a lighter meal. They provide complimentary bread which comes freshly baked in addition to an olive oil/tapenade. The place can get quite busy but service is always nice. Indoor and outdoor heated seating is available. Credit cards accepted. Metered street parking. Overall, a cute spot for a casual date night or catch up.

Wonderful service and delicious dinner! We had a lamb chop special that was really well made, as well as the pasta special that was served in a cheese wheel. The servers were very attentive and helpful with the menu. The atmosphere was quite pleasant.

I chose this restaurant randomly with no expectations but let me tell you it went beyond. I ordered the Linguine Pescatore and it was the best I’ve ever had. That’s telling you something because I love love love italian food. I never leave a review but for food this delicious and great service, I had to say something. Hey everyone~ We stopped here in Santa Monica after seeing the King Tut immersive exhibit on a Sunday... ...a totally random decision, fueled by a hankering for some good pizza. What we didn't plan on was stumbling upon the nectar of the gods...a delicious, golden flavorful minestrone soup that was just what this doctor ordered for his recent onset headcold. The service was top notch, as we picked an early dinner hour...the vibe was chill, relaxed. A very casual place, but good energy. The pizza was good...a veggie concoction topped with shaved prosciutto. The dessert was the bomb...an obligatory order of their spumoni, in a dark cherry chocolate shell. Overall, worth the price of admission~ Cheers

There are probably more than 50 italian restaurants within four miles of our home, yet Spumoni is the one we go virtually always. No, it is not alto cuchina, but it is a superlative neighboorhood restaurnat with great food and service.

Good quality, good service, solid easy choice for an easy and pleasant meal. Salads always fresh ingredients and chef very flexible about adds or subtractions if you like.

We tried four cheese pizza. Chese were very good but dove may be better. Service was fast and kind, thanks.

Had an order of the Eggplant Parmigiana (~15): beaded eggplant smothered in tomato sauce & cheese. Food was delicious, staff was agreeable, and the ambiance was cozy.

There was nice music playing and the staff were all very nice. Some sports were playing on the TV. The appetizers came pretty quickly as did the food. They had a good range of choices and the food tasted nice. It was a bit pricey but overall not too expensive.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spumoni, an Italian restaurant in Santa Monica and I must say that it was quite a pleasant experience. I usually order from them and I would definitely give this restaurant a solid four-star rating. One of the highlights of the meal was the fresh pasta which was cooked to perfection. In particular, I highly recommend the pasta alla puttanesca which was full of flavor and had just the right amount of spiciness. The portions served were very generous, which is perfect for those with a big appetite or for those who like to share. The outdoor patio on Montana avenue is also worth mentioning. The wine list at this restaurant is short but decent, with prices that won't break the bank. The ratio of price to quality is indeed pretty good. Ok, but why only four stars then? will you ask me… The only downside might be the short wine list, but most importantly the indoor space, not really a charming place. Overall, I highly recommend Spumoni if you're craving Italian food in Santa Monica. The fresh pasta, generous portions, and lovely outdoor patio make it a great spot for a casual dinner with friends and family.

Its Valentine's Day so it may not be fair however it seems like they are catering to the to go orders. It has been an hour since we ordered and we waited for a long time before the hostess even paid any attention to us. The waiter was good but forgot a couple things. But dinner was delicious!! Halibut fresh veggies and roasted potato. 😊 We had just eaten too much bread and drank too much wine!!!

I've been going to this rest. for 30 years. The food is delicious 😋, depending on your taste preferences. If you like a thick chicken breast, the parm. Chix is your best bet. The Lobster ravioli rocks but it's a small portion so order 2 if your with another person. Their homemade Marina sauce, also delicious as is their Cesear salad dressing (we dip the fresh bread in the dressing). Like w/everything/everywhere, prices have gone up but this restaurant is worth it. 💖

Highly recommend this yummy little restaurant. Great service and delicious fettuccine alfredo! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I didn't care for the table we sat at. Very warm sitting by the kitchen and the table is right up against a window with another table on the outside right up against the window. The table outside on the patio situated right up against a common window. Uncomfortably close to the people on the other side, quite awkward. Certainly there is a better way to configure the tables outside.

I accidentally went on a Monday night when they're having their half of food special (May 2018). Our waiter was nice but was kind of in over his head. Didn't get bread or our drink orders and it took way too long to get the check. The food was good though. I'll come back again on a different night.

I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. If I could score 4.5 I would but I have been to some really excellent Italian restaurants on my travels and this is not quite up with them. The value was excellent, two main meals, 3 glasses of good wine and 2 coffees, just over $100. They also did NOT automatically put service charge on, which is really good as I was happy to give them a good tip . If I'm back this way, I'll go back no problem.

We dined here twice while staying in Malibu for the week. Delicious food and great service. We especially liked the pizza, arugula salad and desserts. The only caution is if you aren't the kind of person who likes to treat dogs like humans. I'm ok with restaurants that allow dogs inside, but at two separate tables, small dogs were sitting on chairs at the tables. One owner allowed the dog to place its paws on the table, and the server did not wash the table when clearing it after. I think we all know how nasty a dog's rear end and paws are, and this is a health concern in my opinion. That's the only thing that prevented a 5-star rating from me.

A nice place, but barely any vegan options. I ended up making my own pizza, which was okay, but could be better. My family's no vegan reviews were better, but I wouldn't recommend for vegans!

I did see several food contamination since, I was setting at the bar and I had a straight view to the kitchen. 🤔 the cooker grabbed with his bare hands the raw chicken and placed it on the pot and he grabbed other items and didn't wash his hands 😑. I am glad we didn't order chicken. We Only order pasta. Pasta was good, lagsana was ok need it more flavor.

8/27/2022 Had Veal Parmesan. (Not on menu) It was great!! However it did not come with any pasta?!?!? Instead the serve it with greasy potato cubes and an oily vegatables. They used to serve chicken and veal parmesan the traditional way with pasta. Big disappointment. 3 stars until they change it back or at least ask if you want potatoes and veg I've had great meals in the past here. tonight I had the Bolognese ravioli and the portion wasn't as much as I thought it should be it was mediocre. I was disappointed. Will try it again.

Nice staff and good service but wow the food was really disappointing. The best part was the olive dip and the bread. I ordered a chicken parm with a sauce that was very mediocre. I tried the pizza my family got- half mixed veggie and half spinach. The veggies on the pizza were pretty soft, needed something crispy to balance the texture. And the spinach was very wet and unseasoned and the white sauce underneath was absolutely bland. No one in our group was happy with their food.

Very disappointed with our take-out dinner tonight. I ordered Pollo al Marsala and garlic bread. The garlic bread had very little garlic taste and the bread was burnt. The Polo was tasteless. I added some salt which helped, but still bland. My roommate had the mediterranean salad which she found to be delicious. Her Farfalle Vodka w/salmon was satisfactory.

Pizza was a bit bland. The sauce had no flavor, the meat had no flavor. The crust was done but no underlining flavor. We do not have covid, so our taste buds are functional. Some Italian seasonings would be helpful. If the attempt is to appeal to everyone in a bland way, they succeed, no one would accuse this pizza of being too spicy.

Surprised to receive a burnt pizza from my favorite place today. I never had this experience in the past so I am very disappointed today.

I tried the Monday night deal at Spumonis, it’s a great price for dinner they do 50% off your food 5-9 every Monday. Honestly the food was not great, it does get busy on Mondays so maybe that affected the quality? I’m not sure but I got the eggplant parm and it was uncooked on the inside and the outside was fried and super soggy, definitely would not recommend. The dish also did not come with pasta even though it is under the pasta section so I found that rather odd.

I loved the bread and olive tamponade but we all felt the rest of the food was horrible. Raw pasta, overly sweetened sauces. Over priced. I would never eat here again.

Terrible customer service. Very rude and insensitive. No waiting system set up which lead to chaos. No apologies were given. Very impatient. Will not come back again.

Do not bother with this restaurant .. service is horrible! If negative ratings are available on Yelp, this restaurant deserves it. Menu mentions they serve gluten-free pizza but when trying to order gluten-free bread they can't get it right and asks if you mean garlic bread and serves burnt bread after an hour!! Manager is Cesar and he does not know customer service is important and does not rectify the situation. Again, by all means avoid dining at this restaurant! It's never worthwhile to dine at a restaurant with bad customer service or bad management!

The food was just BAD. I don't know how else to put it. We ordered "Fiorentina" which is basically a T-bone steak and it was terrible. The whole piece of steak was pretty fatty, greasy, and had little to no flavor. It was even difficult to cut because it was so fatty. The potatoes that came with the dish were dried out, again with no flavor. The vegetables did not taste fresh and had zero flavor and were pretty mushy. The whole meal was a disaster. We also ordered the halibut and nowhere in its description did it say the halibut was breaded. It was a thin piece of breaded fish that had NO flavor. Again the potatoes and vegetables were inedible. The only reason this place even deserves one star is because of their calamari which was actually pretty good. The service was nothing to jump up and down about. We had to flag our waiter down many times and we had to ask him if we could order drinks. Most places are jumping up and down to get your drink order, which I found odd. I did end up complaining about the meal to the waiter and he offered us a complimentary dessert, which was nice but didn't make up for the crappiness of everything else. The meal was NOT worth $93. I would've been better off driving down PCH and eating seafood there, especially for that price. I would not recommend this place overall.

This place has mediocre food and very bad hygiene. I saw the head waiter drop the bread knife on the floor (they give you bread upon sitting at the table) at the bread station, he then picked it up and wiped it off and continued to use it. Regarding the food, the pasta is way too chewy to be “freshly homemade”. Maybe it’s homemade but definitely sits in the freezer for a week. Portions are large, but food is bland.

Horrible! I ordered the veggies pizza. When I got home I was not sure what type of veggies they included because I was spitting our small pieces of dried bark, I thought maybe it was pieces of asparagus or something like that. I kept spitting them out and eating the pizza. About half hour later I was hugging the toilet vomiting the entire pizza with a sour parmasan cheese taste all over my mouth.... Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!

We ordered food for delivery at 5pm new years eve. They waited till around 7 to cancel our order on their end. Now its impossible to get food elsewhere. They bit off more than they could chew but we were the ones who faced the consequences. The poor management of their order system and kitchen capacity has left us hungry and dinnerless on New Years Eve (we are in a Hotel with nothing but an empty mini fridge). We went through grub hub and eventually got ahold of an uber rep who looked in to it and was able to inform us that we were one of may orders canceled around the same time.. so at least we weren't the only ones screwed out of dinner by this place tonight? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Management and service was horrible- from the moment we sat down. It took about 10 minutes for He waiter to come over and then to get us water. Then another few minutes to take our order. We asked for GF bread. It took 4 times asking different bidders, waiters and even management. And it didn't even come until after we received our entrees. It ended up coming out over cooked and burnt. It appetizing. The management did not even come over to us and ask how everything was at any point or say anything- a bit surprising for the type of venue this is. It even took the waiter a while to ask these questions. The interesting thing was that he was very prompt about the table next to us. Lucky one of the busser was attentive to us. When it came time to pay the bill the manager refused to offer us dessert or any kind of comp. The only apology that came from anyone was the busser. And that simple apology was appreciated. Note for the future: the customer is always right. And it's not very polite, nor is it professional to argue with staff in front of customers. So if you're coming here expecting great service... probably the place for you! If you're expecting OK food... sure. Then again it could've been just a very off night for the entire restaurant, but who knows.

Service and food both very poor. Stated couldn’t, cook hanger steak properly failed to suggest another dinner. When asked to remove dishes from the table waiter just walked away. Failed to refill coffee when asked.Failed to recognized proper arrival an seating in correct order.

The service was good and the ambiance is cozy enough, but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered some chicken Marsala and that was really bad. Tried my dates seafood pasta and that was aweful too. Salad was over dressed. Just really bad food. I don't know how these good reviews on the food get on here, what are they used to eating then? At a location like this, premium real estate, this place should be packed. Get a REAL italian specialty Chef and do it right.

Yet another restaurant that treats its vegan customers like persona non grata. DON'T COME HERE unless you like to be humiliated for being vegan! If you or anyone in your group follows a vegan diet, forget about the Happy Hour menu, as they'll quickly clarify that any modifications of sauce or pasta has an extra charge, to which I say, never coming here ever again!!! Anyone unwelcoming vegans that way gets its well-deserved single star from me. :-)

I went around a few blocks to kill time and ended up waiting an extra 20 mins. I was standing then decided to sit at the empty patio up front, a party of three wanted to sit outside and she told me I needed to move…I look around and see 3 other tables she could move to accommodate the party and the other party mentions they’d prefer to sit on the opposite side of the patio from me anyway. After waiting double the time I get my food, walk home eat my “gluten free pizza” only to have a severe stomach reaction 5 minutes into dinner due to her negligence on making sure my order was right. I even tipped her. This is completely unacceptable and I was referred to this restaurant by a friend who’s famous film director who raved about their service, and outstanding food. Well I don’t know who to blame him or this unintelligent incompetent host.
