We were craving Indian chaat and decided to stop by. We didn’t realize it’s primarily a takeout spot rather than a dine-in restaurant, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. We were a bit hesitant at first, but to our surprise, the food quality and taste were excellent. We ordered the paneer tacos, paneer kathi roll, samosa chaat, sev puri, and dahi puri — every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The host even surprised us with a complimentary masala dosa, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place, especially for takeout or catering. Had a very talk with host Jafar…!!
I had an excellent lunch at Tulsi today. With so many options on the menu, it was hard to choose, but everything we ordered was fantastic. I started with Dahi Sev Puri, which had a light yogurt touch that balanced the flavors beautifully. We followed that with classic Indian street food favorites like pav bhaji and a Bombay sandwich — both comforting and full of authentic flavor. For South Indian dishes, the masala dosa and idli platter were well made and satisfying. The filter coffee stood out as well, with a subtle hint of caramel that added a nice twist. We ended the meal with gulab jamun, which had the perfect texture — soft, warm, and not overly sweet. Overall, great food, variety, and quality. I’d definitely recommend Tulsi for anyone craving authentic Indian street food and South Indian cuisine.
I ordered the idli sambar, masala dosa, vada pav, and pav bhaji, and every dish was honestly excellent. The food tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. The idlis were soft and comforting, the sambar was rich and perfectly spiced, and the masala dosa was crispy on the outside with a delicious filling inside. The vada pav and pav bhaji were standout items. so satisfying and packed with classic street-food flavor. You can really tell that a lot of care and passion goes into the food. It felt like comforting home-style Indian food with the excitement of street food. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian takeaway in the Valley. Highly recommend to anyone craving quality Indian food! I’ll definitely be coming back again!
Had an amazing experience at Tulsi and honestly, the food exceeded expectations. We tried the vada pav, pav bhaji, and sev puri, and each item was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, with the perfect level of spice that enhances the dish without overwhelming it. It genuinely reminded me of authentic Indian street food — comforting, bold, and full of character. The vada pav was soft, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, the pav bhaji was rich, buttery, and packed with taste, and the sev puri was fresh, crunchy, and so satisfying. Everything tasted freshly made and carefully prepared. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. If you’re looking for real Indian flavors that feel nostalgic and authentic, Tulsi is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend and will absolutely be returning!
My family and I were invited a little while ago to try some of their menu items and wow - the vada pav was visually appealing, the dosa was light and crispy and my personal favorite was the gulab jamun accented with the caramelized salt. Honestly - mouth watering. Would definitely recommend giving this spot a try if you're looking to order in.
Hands down the BEST Indian food I’ve had in LA. I ordered take away and it was fresh, homemade and full of flavor. Every dish was excellent but stand outs were Pav Bhaji and Masala Dosa.
I really enjoyed my visit. The food tasted great and was very well presented. I liked how the menu offers a wide variety of dishes from different regions of India. The customer service was excellent friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, a great experience and a place I’d definitely come back to.

The **vada pav** and **pani puri** take you straight to the streets of Mumbai, while the **pav bhaji** is rich, buttery, and incredibly satisfying. Craving something indulgent? The **malai kofta** is creamy and comforting, paired beautifully with soft, fragrant **garlic naan**. Even their **Bombay sandwich** hits all the right notes with its bold chutneys and fresh layers. Absolutely loved Tulsi! 🌶️✨ If you’re craving authentic Indian street food done right, this place is a total win. Every dish bursts with bold, nostalgic flavors—the kind that instantly transports you to a buzzing street corner in India. The chaat is perfectly balanced (tangy, spicy, sweet), the snacks are crisp and fresh, and everything tastes made with real care, not shortcuts. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the vibe is warm and welcoming. Tulsi isn’t just serving street food—it’s serving memories. Highly recommended for anyone who loves big flavors and comfort food with soul. 😍

Hands down my favorite restaurants. Food here is amazing and the chef Jafer is such a great dude. One of the very few places where the chef will ensure that you are not only completely satisfied with your meal but also gets to know you as a person. I can’t recommend Tulsi Kitchen enough and I bring everyone I know here. If you live in the area or just happen to be passing through, do yourself a favor and try it out.
We had the most amazing samosa chat! I had never had paneer tacos like that. To die for!!! We enjoyed the dosa with cheese. It was a new dish for me. All the food was spectacular and we will definitely go back again. Also, the staff was personable.
10/10 experience. This is some of the best Indian food in Chatsworth and easily one of the most affordable Indian restaurants around. The paneer tacos were insaneee, super flavorful and one of the best dishes I’ve tried!! The sweet Indian coffee was also incredible, really smooth and perfectly sweet. If you’re looking for an Indian restaurant in Chatsworth that’s delicious, affordable, and authentic, this place is a hidden gem. Definitely coming back.
We love the food here and keep coming back. Concise menu, great value for the prices, and very tasty. I love that everything is vegetarian so I don’t have to think about what to get. We love the curry combo which is sufficient for both me and my husband for lunch. The naan, curries, and samosas are delicious. Seems to be a take-out restaurant only so just keep that in mind.

“Had a wonderful to-go experience from Tulsi Kitchen. My lunch, chai, and pani puri were ready on time and packed perfectly. Everything tasted fresh and authentic—especially the pani puri, which was outstanding. Highly recommend for quick and tasty Indian food!”
We ordered multiple items for a group. South Indian dishes were authentic and fresh Enjoyed the Pav Bhaji- Also liked the veggie biryani.- nicely spiced and vibrant
I was heartbroken when Tulsi closed because it was my go-to spot for the BEST dosa. Finding out they’ve reopened (even takeout only for now) made my day, and I ordered immediately! The food is just as delicious as I remembered, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. So happy to support a local business doing it right I can’t wait until they open a sit-down location again!
As usual, the quality of fo was good. Jaffer(?), the person at the counter was very courteous. The samosas we little spicy for our taste. And there were no potatoes - perhaps they were left out inadvertently.

Excellent food. We did take out. Vada Paav was in Mumbai style.. Tamrind chutney plus Garlic chutney and nicely fried chillies made my rainy take out day. While waiting for takeout, owner offered hot masala chai. This is a must place try pace if you love snacks like pav bhaji, pani puri, bhel, shev batata dahi puri
I had a great time trying Tulsi Kitchen for takeout! The Vada Pav and Dahi Puri were my favorites off the menu. The presentation of the food was also a great highlight of the meal. Would come back!

It was delicious… until I found the hair. My hair is purple, so I know this can’t have been mine. Food safety matters, please wear hairnets when handling or preparing food!
