We had a delightful meal at this restaurant last night. The atmosphere is upscale with glorious dark wood. The service was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about both the menu and the area attractions. We had cocktails and ate at the bar. The shrimp cocktail was delicious and our favorite was the potato skins. The parking is ample. We are sorry our short stay prevented us returning for a longer meal.

A very unexpected wonderful experience! We had just arrived to town and were hungry. We saw this place and I have always wanted to try. Seating inside was limited so opted to go outside where they have gas heaters and a live band. We were even given blankets to help us keep warm! Service was great, food was good and we had a grand time dancing after dinner to the live music. We stayed longer than anticipated and have wonderful memories. Thank you!!!

Service was excellent, the manager was very friendly. The Orange Roughy Ensenada (chargrilled) with baked potato on the side + clam chowder soup is all you need to warm your insides for the rest of the evening.

Food was very good. Shawn was our waiter, very attentive and made sure our drinks were full. Soup was brought almost immediately after ordering, and then food came shortly after. The missus and I had a slice a cheesecake for desert, was delicious and very rich; perfect for sharing. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back on a future visit.

Hands down, best food ever. Prime rib was amazing. The surf and turf (filet with lobster tail and Brussel sprouts) had this cream sauce for the filet that was so good. The brussel sprouts had a yummy glaze. Clams were the best I've ever had. All of it was amazing. The drinks, the service, all of it. Better than any place in town. To top it off, we were celebrating my daughters birthday and they accommodated that as well.

We haven't been to Captain's Anchorage in over 20 years, even though we drive by it every week. We decided for my birthday we would give it a try again and now it's our favorite restaurant. We ordered the porterhouse steak and prime rib. While the prime rib was good, the porterhouse was World Class. All aspects of the dining experience was amazing. The salads were cold and fresh, my wife ordered an artichoke and loved it and the cheesecake was insane. And our waiter was super funny and totally on it. If you are looking for a great night out you need to consider going here. Thank you for an awesome time.

Went out to Captain's dinner for my daughters birthday. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. We had a great time. My daughter asked if they did anything for birthdays, meaning she just wanted a desert, but staff went out of their way to sing happy birthday. Thanks again to everyone at Captain's Anchorage.

Jessica and Shannon were AMAZING! Everyone was actually. And this was my first time ever in Big Bear and the service was so good I could cry. Those ladies went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and some. We were able to share laughs with them and all! They are so down to earth and the food was amazing. Everything was hot and fresh. After snowboarding all day this was the perfect place to end our night. As you can see, we all got the 16oz Prime Rib dinner and it was amazing! Thank you ladies for making my first time in Big Bear a memorable one.

This place is awesome! Great prime rib, great ribeye, great spicy old-fashions! Our server, Toni, was great. Super friendly and gave us breakdown of the history of the place. Apparently the place is haunted by some friendly ghost named George. I am glad I didn't hear that before I went there... Either way, definitely check the place out.

AMAZING Experience. Great service from the time we arrived to when dinner was served. This was a very special occasion for 1 of my best friends son, Preston, who is graduating this week. Jennifer and Suzette made it a memorable time. These 2 ladies are AWESOME. Didn't see any ghost, but you have the feeling they are around you. Highly recommend.

This is the best seafood and steak house in town! The service is 10 out of 10, waiter was very attentive, great salad and soup bar, and it only took 10-15 for our dinner to be brought out to us. Best crab legs I've ever had and I've been to many seafood places. They cut the sides of the crab legs to cook evenly and to make it easier to crack open. We will be coming back again.

Sean was our server. Spoke multiple languages and did everything he could to make everyone feel included and special. What an asset to a fine place to dine when in big bear. Menu was diverse. Wine and alcohol was extensive for the area. Food was reasonably priced. I would recommend and I would for sure return

Great local hang out! The Steaks and Prime Rib have been awesome! They include a Salad Bar and Soup. (Havent seen one of those in awhile. I miss them!) The Bar Staff has been great! In fact I haven't eaten in the dining room yet because I like the bar so much! Definite must stop if you want hearty food and great atmosphere away from the Touristy crowd. This will be my base station up here 😊 Stop in sit a spell in front of the fire. TWO THUMBS UP! Thank you guys!!!

Really lovely meal. The setting is so nice, dimly lit cosy cabin vibes. Food highlights were the soups (chowder, beef & veg), prime rib, and I liked that the kids good wasn’t junk (fish sticks were battered/breaded whole fish pieces). Strawberry margarita also tasty. Staff friendly. Definitely recommend

(This is a repeat I accidentally posted on my wife's page before)The restaurant has a lodge type of setting. The prime rib is great at this place there are many options to choose from to eat. The price is a little up there but is still a place you don't need to be all dressed up for. My wife had the steak and fish. The steak was very juice could have been seasoned a little better. The fish was a fried seabass, that was very good and came with a tasty creamy sauce. Make sure if you don't want to sit in the bar area (which isn't bad) call for reservation. I'll add to this and say the dinning experience was really great were in conversation with people all around us. It very much felt like the neighborhood hangout. Will be back next time up the mountain.

Absolutely superb wait staff. They offered first class customer service. Very attentive pleasantries that complimented the high quality meals served. The Cajun Chilean Sea Bass was JUICY and full of flavor. Oh and the upper room just added a touch of country class. The Big Bear cabin decor was in sync and complimented the city of Big Bear. A Friday night date place for sure. I will definitely return here.

We came in on a Thursday. The place was jammed packed. Wait staff was amazing. I mean the service was fantastic. And the atmosphere of an old English pib was amazing. As for the food I had the prime rib. While Ive had better it was very good.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Captain's Anchorage Restaurant and Bar. The wait staff were wonderful and extremely friendly. They made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. The charbroiled fresh wild salmon was cooked perfectly. The 10oz teriyaki top sirloin was hands down one of the, if not the, best steaks we've ever had. It was extremely tender and full of flavor. The meat just melts in your mouth; it was amazing. To top off our meal, we had a wonderfully sweet and warm sinfully rich chocolate cake. If you are looking for a nice sit-down restaurant with superb food, this is the place.

What can we say but Wow Wow Wow! A traditional classic steak house. From moment you walk in the door to the time you leave you are pampered. Chrissy our waitress went out of her way to make sure things was right. She even gave the amazing history of the Cowboy movie star Andy Devine's (original owner), gambling, and the ghost. Yes the restaurant is haunted, but don't let that stop you. Our meal was AMAZING! A great way to finish off a fun filled day in Bear Lake! If we could give this place 10 stars, we would.

Tonight we enjoyed the whole Captain's Anchorage experience! Almost 80 years of tradition as an iconic restaurant in Big Bear, the rustic charm, the outstanding service, and the incredible food. This is always one of our highlights with each visit to Big Bear.

Classic American steakhouse with a lot of California & Big Bear history including the late great Andy Devine! Truly enjoyed the prime rib and sous vide coulotte sirloin steak, house-made blue cheese dressing, and of course the baked potatoes! Wonderful wine selection and a vast variety of cocktails. The staff is incredibly accommodating!

I recommend reservations for 3+ people groups. I went solo around 5pm on a weekday, it wasn’t busy and was able to walk-in. I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. I would go back just for that! They were out of a few different items, and I ended up with the lobster tail, clam chowder, cheesecake, and a bottle of wine for little under $150. Clam chowder was really good, tasted homemade. Lobster tail was a little over cooked but tasted delicious. Cheesecake with strawberry sauce tasted fresh too.

Birthday dinner party of six was an enjoyable experience. We were pleased with the selection of wines. The selection of seafood and steak options was great. I had blackened Chilean sea bass, which was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. There was a pleasantly large list of options for sides. If the temperature allows, ask to be seated on the patio. Please click 👍 if this was helpful.

Went there for the first time while enjoying a 3 day weekend in Big Bear Lake. Decided to check it out after playin rock-paper-scissors with my sons and soooo glad I won. Our food was hands down the best I have ever had in Big Bear! I got the ribeye and it was so tastey that it exceeded many other 5 star spots I have been to. The staff made you feel like you were at home. And Val, makes the BEST damn Old Fashioned ya will EVER drink!!! And by the friendly atmosphere with the other local patrons there, you can tell that they frequent there often for a reason!!!

We don't go out for dinner much because we usually end up disappointed with the food, service, and overpriced menus. But Captains Anchorage was soooo good, we went there twice during the week we were at Big Bear Lake. It is an old style log cabin type place that has been there forever. In fact, actor Andy Devine owned the place many years ago and there are still reminders of his influence throughout the restaurant including an old menu (fresh lobster salad for $1.50!). The menu now has a great selection of seafood, steaks, prime rib, pasta with salad or soup (amazing clam chowder) , bread, potato included. We had prime rib which was tasty and tender, and shrimp tempura with their homemade tartar sauce. It was all excellent. Service was outstanding. Ask to sit in the bar where Lorraine is the waitress. She has been there for 45 years.

J

Our first time here. The staff were so wonderful and attentive! We didn't have reservations so we were seated in the bar area. Just our luck! The bartender was terrific, sharing the history and ghost stories with us . She recommended the prime rib, they are known for it. I have never had prime rib that tasted like that! We each got the 8 oz and still took half of it home. All the ingredients were high quality, as was the service. They anticipate your needs as you eat. We will be back. Such a great experience!

G

We ended up sitting at one of the few tables in the bar because we didn't make reservations early enough for main room. The dark, vintage, western atmosphere was fun. We spent a bit of time talking with the lovely Loraine about the ghost sightings. Seems the place is haunted late at night when few are around. Anyway, we started with the garlicky mushrooms. I got salmon and Brussels sprouts. My companion got pork chops and garlic mashed potatoes. All were delicious. There's a warm, white bread loaf I think you might have to ask for and it was helpful in soaking up the leftover juice of the mushrooms! My friends been there many times. It's all the goodness they said. Super place for dinner!

We had an amazing experience here!! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and everything felt perfectly timed. But what truly made the night special was our host, Patty. We had a fantastic dinner at Captain’s Anchorage while visiting Big Bear. The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. Ray had the top sirloin steak, cooked perfectly and full of flavor—no steak sauce needed. He highly recommends adding melted butter on top to enhance it even more. His baked potato and sautéed mushrooms were outstanding. I ordered the vegetable beef soup and New England clam chowder, and both were delicious and comforting. We also enjoyed great drinks—the Irish meal and the Mountain Mule were spot on. The restaurant has a warm, quiet, classic Big Bear lodge vibe, which made for a relaxing evening. Our server, Shawn, was wonderful—extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the restaurant’s history (and even its ghosts like George), which made the experience extra special. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Big Bear—a must for dinner.

We had a really lovely meal here tonight. The staff were all really professional and well trained but also warm and personable. Several people chipped in to make everything extra smooth. The prime rib was amazing, as well as the artichoke heart, but, the best thing we ordered, in a landslide, was a toffee cake— I don’t actually see it on the current menu but it was moist and absolutely amazing. It was super cozy and they even had a magician going around doing magic tricks for folks. A+!

What a wonderful experience! Very rustic restaurant with excellent service and the staff is all friendly and very helpful. Nice large outdoor patio and a beautiful stone fireplace indoors with comfortable Naugahyde booth seating as well as tables. I enjoyed a lobster tail and the artichoke and they were both lovely! They recommend!

This is a traditional old time steakhouse, with prime rib, NY steak, sirloin, pork chop, clam chowder, among other things and they have a good wine list. They also have a full bar. Been going to this place since I was a child and my folks would weekend in big bear. This trip I got the pork chop, it was juicy, tender, flavorful, but not salty, perfectly cooked, with a side of rice pilaf. Wife got the cheese tortellini with shrimp (shrimp was good but for 18$ for four shrimp) in addition to the 30$ tortellini, that's a bit steep. They are large shrimp, but not worth 4+$ each. This place has not changed, prices have always been high, but the food is usually very good (there was this one time I went and the food sucked, had not gone back for years because of that) but it's all good now. Our waitress was nice, informative and polite. Service was fast enough, although you should expect a more relaxed dining experience than a fast one, so don't be in a hurry. I recommend!!

Stopped in recently in the evening, solo with no reservation. There was open seating at the bar as most of the tables were taken. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making small talk and chatting when they heard I had not been here before. Ordered the prime rib as they said that's what they're known for - meal was excellent. Look forward to trying other dishes in the future. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely come back next time I'm in town. Staff said calling ahead can help as busyness varies.

We had an early new year's dinner here and had a great time with really good food. From the lady who took our phone reservation to hostess to server and busser, everybody was really nice. The ambiance is cozy, old school classic tavern style. It reminded me of Steak n Stein, if you're familiar. Although there wasn't anything crazy to choose from, my husband and I both really enjoyed the cocktails; I particularly enjoyed the pomegranate martini and my hubby loved the sidecar. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was awesome. We both ordered the anchor filter mignon which has crab on top and artichokes and bearnaise sauce. The steaks were perfectly cooked and super delicious. The homemade ranch was so good along with their bread. Everything was very good; I am sure we'll come back next time we come up. I recommend you give them a try.

Captain's Anchorage is true Big Bear Staple, with a storied history and consistent high quality food and top notch service. It has old school steakhouse vibes and an amazing bar and kitchen that have been serving hungry locals and tourists alike for decades. The prime rib is always amazing and highly recommended. Making a reservation is definitely reccomended as it can fill up on weekends and holidays in a hurry. Locals know you can get the full menu at the bar which is actually a fun experience for 2 people. It's hard ti do but save room for dessert, the butter toffee cake is awesome and the cheesecake is probably the best in Big Bear. Oh and ask about the ghost...

My husband surprised me with this gem for my birthday! We live in LA and love fine dining. We were excited to try this place and I highly recommend you check it out for yourself . We were greeted by Jessica and Natalie was our server. Natalie made sure to answer all our questions about the menu. She talked to us about the history of the restaurant as I loved the decor. The clam chowder is excellent , the scallops serving was huge and delicious ,and the lobster was so big I couldn’t finish it. I had an espresso martini which Natalie tweeked the ingredients for my liking. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious. Overall this place is Old Hollywood with amazing service and delicious food. Thank you so much Natalie and Jessica for the amazing experience. We will definitely be coming back soon. They also have happy hour!

My experience at Captain's Anchorage for my little sister's wedding was nothing short of magical! The beautiful woodsy backdrop, excellent service, and scrumptious food made this day truly unforgettable. From the moment we approached Patty, the owner, she showed immense understanding and kindness, immediately putting us at ease with the challenging time crunch we were facing. Without any hesitation, she graciously allowed us to use their property outside of the restaurant for the ceremony. It was the perfect picturesque setting that my sister had always dreamed of. Carlos, the manager, deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Even though they had never hosted a wedding before, he and his team handled the event with absolute professionalism and attention to detail. They worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly, and we couldn't be more grateful for their efforts. The catering service they provided for the appetizers, drinks, and hors d'oeuvres was nothing short of perfection. The presentation was elegant, and the food itself was simply divine. Our family was delighted with the delectable treats, and the patio setting added to the overall charm of the occasion. I must say, I was initially a bit skeptical about hosting a wedding event at a restaurant that hadn't done it before, but Captain's Anchorage exceeded all expectations. Their capabilities are exceptional, and they pulled off the wedding event flawlessly. I highly recommend this pristine venue for anyone looking to hold a special event, particularly a wedding. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Patty, Carlos, and the entire staff at Captain's Anchorage for making this day so incredibly special for my sister and our entire family. Your dedication and warmth will forever be cherished, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose this venue again for future events. Thank you for making my sister's wedding dreams come true!

Went with family for Christmas Eve. Every staff at the restaurant were friendly, specially the waitress and bus boy. Food was flavorful and not heavily salted. The prime rib and baked salmon were superb, although the rice pilaf felt like we were eating pebbles. We appreciated what a great service we received given it was Xmas Eve.

Good food, good service. The facility is a little dated for the money in my opinion. The heat needed to be turned up as well, we sat upstairs. We had the filet with crab on top and a piece of seabass, both were good.

J

Nice atmosphere with seating on 2 floors with fireplaces and a bar. Attentive and friendly service. Food was good but not special. The Filet was juicy and didn't need steak sauce. Side salad is a waste, go with the soup. Salmon has good flavor. Menu is really small, but good options.

W
Wizzlo

Very good service, people were nice and informational about not only the dishes but the history of the town. I ordered the teriyaki chicken dinner and the chicken was a tad bit on the drier side, and the rice was really salty and i couldn’t eat the rest if it. But the side salad and bread was really good. I would definitely recommend this place, and would come here again.

Went there for dinner. Got seated fast. We sat outside. Nice feel to the place. Service was good overall. The staff was very nice. We started off with steamed artichoke, which is pretty good. Good bread. My wife had the Scallops Buena Vista. Not to bad. There was too much sauce and seasonings in it. Couldn't taste the scallops. Some of the scallops had some sand still in them. I had the Chilean sea bass. It was a little under cooked and drowned in butter. Overall, it's not to bad. It's pricey for the quality. Not to sure if we will return.

This place has seafood by the half and full pound, which is great especially if you can get down on crab legs and lobster! Drink menu is good, and you can't beat eating fireside. The husband and I ate here for our first wedding anniversary 💙❤️ I think we may come back in the years to come to celebrate!

A cozy and quaint restaurant with friendly staff that make you feel like home. Tony was our server and she had great recommendations! The atmosphere feels like you are in a tavern, darkly lit. The food is simple but delicious. The bourbon bacon jam was a hit - salty, a bit sweet, and the blue cheese really took it to a new level,m, with each bite it got better and better! If you like bacon, you will love it. The Prime Rib was tender, the jus was flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The NY strip with the garlic butter was cooked to perfection and had a nice char on it. The fresh salmon, sauteed, was simple, tender, and perfect portion. The teriyaki shrimp with rice and veggies makes a perfect portion. The butter cake was a perfect finish! Warm, decadent and the vanilla ice cream was also top notch. Great food!

Parking is plenty outside. The interior lighting is dim and cozy. We ordered PrimeRibs , Chilean Seabass ( a bit pricey and thin) , and apple wood bacon candy. Service is efficient, food is good especially the Sourbread with butter, and Prime Ribs. .

The patio at Captain’s Anchorage is beautiful and enjoyed the atmosphere. Walking through the restaurant seemed very dated and stuffy, but I know there is a lot of history. Our waitress was very nice and shared some history and stories. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was awesome. My husband ordered the Pork Chop and was not happy. It was very dry. I thought the prices were extremely high. Overall, I would recommend as it seemed to be one of the nicer restaurants, outside of The Village.

Very rustic restaurant went there on Christmas. All the servers were extremely friendly and thoughtful even the owner was making her rounds. It felt festive and fun. The food was decent. A bit pricey, but overall, I would still recommend it.

Really good quality food and service, for a small mountain community. The seafood I had tasted very fresh, and the steaks were delicious. They make their own Ranch & Blue Cheese salad dressings which is a nice touch. Nice full bar.

Decent place with dim atmosphere food is good but extremely overpriced! I thought my hometown Miami was expensive but this place just beat it. 37$ for farmed salmon and 1 baked potato 🥔 is wild 🤪 pardon my French. Service is slow. Many vacant tables while the host is making you wait for 30 min to get a table … a bit disappointed

The wait service here is awesome. However the food was for me not up to par the prime rib was over done and lacking in flavor the jalapeños bacon wraped with shrimp was chared and burnt. And my baked potato that came with my steak was beyond overcooked. If your a foodie I'd say no go. The patio was very nice to sit on. Great place for a Date but the food is over priced and not up to quality standard.

Although we dined on a busy Saturday night, we waited over 1 hour for our entrees after we had our salads. Our young son's chicken strips came 10 minutes AFTER we finally got our food. His fries were cold, and my husband's steak was cold. Apparently there was a mutiny of some sort in the kitchen that caused this mayhem. Also, the host was very rude. We will not dine here again.

Nice restaurant, good service but food is ok. Appetizers were good, melted cheese and artichokes. We shared a prime rib a steak Diane and wine by the glass. The dessert was very good, we shared a butter toffee cake. I ordered an espresso but they have only regular coffee.

I am a long-time patron of the Captain's Anchorage. Due to family I haven't been able to come up since 2018. I just recently visited last weekend October 26, 2025 and I noticed a big change in food quality. The service is excellent. Lorraine, the head bartender is spot on. I ordered the anchor away filet mignon crab and bearnaise sauce, baked potato. Due to cost they no longer have a soup salad bar which is a major disappointment. They order the bread from Vons grocery up the street where in the past used to get an assortment of warm bread in a basket. They now give you a couple pieces of chewy bread and butter. They offer a dinner salad OR soup now with the entree. The fillet was practically flavorless and the crab was little to be found. The bearnaise sauce was very gelatinous and cold and did not have enough tarragon. As well they discontinued placing artichoke on the anchor away which added flavor to the dish along with a spiced apple slice on the side. The baked potato was dried out. I just now have read some of the recent reviews and it does concur with the experience that I had this last weekend. I did speak to the manager a little bit about my experience when I was there, he tried to be receptive but, I felt like I was brushed off and he didn't want to hear it. I hope the Captain's Anchorage returns to the high food standards and portions that they used to have pre-covid.

The filet mignon was excellent but it was downhill after the steak. The lobster was over cooked and flavorless. The Bernaise sauce was more paste than sauce and the blue cheese dressing had no blue cheese flavor or blue cheese in the dressing. My friend ordered the "fresh" halibut that could not be cut with a fork because it was so over cooked and dry but hopefully the dog will like it. Won't be back.

We waited a hour to get in...I understand they were truly busy. We finally were seated and patiently waited...We received our drinks after about 15 minutes and it took an additional 1 and a half to received our meal...finally we can eat...my goodness my food had absolutely no flavor my chicken was dry...no butter,no seasoning but I was starving after such a wait so I tried to take it down... unfortunately halfway through my meal I ended up pulling a hair out of my mouth...I was truly grossed out and disappointed...I was offered to change my meal and nothing more...of course I didn't want more food. It seemed as if they thought I was lying...which really made me upset...at least offer a discount on the bill, free dessert or something for the prices were paying. The apology wasn't even sincere. I definitely wouldn't recommend or return here

This is typically our go to place that my son loves. But we were extremely disappointed when we tried to get seating for My son and I and they would make no accommodations despite plenty of seating. And then the top it off, refused to even allow for a takeout order for just his kids meal. I will definitely be spending our money for family of six with cocktails two Oakside and other establishments. So disappointing that I brought my son to tears.

This has been my dad's favorite restaurant for 40 years. We always go for birthdays and anniversaries. It's too expensive to go on a regular basis. My parents always get prime rib and it's always been good. It's expensive but it used to be worth it. They went for his birthday on the 24th and the prime rib had no flavor. My mom said it tasted like it had been in the freezer for a long time. They like to drink scotch and water but there was no Chivas so they were given something else which didn't taste good at all. After 40 years of being a loyal customer my dad said I don't think we'll go here anymore. The service wasn't good either. There weren't enough servers and the girl was frazzled trying to keep up with everybody. People go there and pay the high prices for the good food so if you are cutting corners on the food people won't go there anymore.

Overpriced and overrated. The pasta was awful which was a hodgepodge of vegetables. We expected a British pub instead of a mediocre steakhouse. The ambiance reminded me of my great aunt Ethel’s house. We had high hopes but we were seriously disappointed. The only good thing was the clam chowder which was excellent. If I could I would rate this restaurant a half star.

😐I've always wanted to try this place and finally I did, we started off poorly as the drinks were way off had to send them back ordered something off the signature craft drink menu and was also a disappointment. The Clam Chowder made up for it. I ordered the Anchor 6oz filet smothered in crab, artichoke and a heirloom tomato. Sorry to say it was a flavorless dish and the presentation was sloppy. My counter partner ordered the Porterhouse Pork Chop and sent it back due to its unseasoned flavor. What a shame I figured such an old spot would be rocking in flavor and drinks. 😞

We’ve been regular guests, usually visiting about once a month, and have always enjoyed your restaurant. However, our last couple of visits have left us feeling unwelcome. During our previous visit, we didn’t have a reservation and were made to feel like an inconvenience, so this time I made sure to reserve a table. We arrived early for our 4:45 p.m. reservation and were seated in the bar area, even though there was an open booth available in the dining room. It was disappointing to be placed there again, especially after taking care to make a reservation. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave. As we walked out, the hostess didn’t acknowledge us, which only added to our disappointment. Unfortunately, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere—perhaps The Pines or Santana and Mavericks. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for other loyal customers in the future.

Obviously every restaurant is going to have it's good and it's bad days, and im willing to concede that perhaps I went on one of their off days and it's usually not so terrible, but all I can speak to is my own experience. It was two of us and we waited almost 2 hours, from 7:15 to 8:58, and all we got were our appetizers of exactly four pieces of shrimp and a steamed artichoke. When we finally got our food, around 8:55, my dish was ridiculously salty and the other dish was flavorless, it was actually kind of ironic. I can't even be that mad, it was such a silly situation. And yes, I documented the exact times because there was nothing else to do once the conversation had died without the first hour and a half. I get that the kitchen was having problems that day, but I still have nowhere else to vent my frustrations of wasting my time so here I am :)
