We stopped by Carl’s Jr. recently, and I have to give a huge shoutout to the host Shannon, she was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a genuine smile and friendly energy that instantly made the whole experience better. She was super attentive, helpful with menu suggestions, and just overall made us feel welcome and valued as a customer. The food was solid too, my burger was hot, juicy, and exactly what I was craving, and the fries were perfectly crispy. But honestly, Shannon’s outstanding service is what turned a quick fast-food stop into a memorable one. It's pretty nice here, great customer service, very friendly staff, especially Shannon, she is always such a joy, and always good food. I've never had a complaint......about the food. My only complaint is that very often when I go inside which I always do, the music is just way too loud. It's almost like they don't want you to have a conversation. I have mentioned this to employees and they tend to agree, but very discreetly say that they can't do anything about it, it's management. The speaker above the fountain soda machine is the worst one, I think, I don't ever eat there, that is the #1 reason why. Other than that, I highly recommend this Carl's Jr. I also love the app, lots of rewards.

I still enjoy Carl's Jr better than most Burger places, especially better than McDonald's which would be at the bottom of my list. The Superstar with cheese is always the best burger in town and still at a fair price. Been coming to this Carl's Jr since it open long ago and it has always been good.

:(...the burger are decent but I've ordered the chicken stars or chicken strips a few times and asked for ranch and ketchup ranch for the chicken ketchup for the fries. I'll either get one ranch or ketchup. But never both. I ordered fried zucchini and a drink with ranch no ranch received again... The zucchini was still good but it would have been better with ranch.

Super nice people work here! We had super fresh burgers and fries but didn't have to wait very long. The drive thru puts your items into a basket and hands them to you through the window so you don't have to touch anyone's hands. We went twice and we were pleased with the consistency and they got everything in our bag the first time even though we did special orders.

The service was good. The dinning room was not very clean. Trash cans were over full.

I guess I can say it was the best Carl's Jr. in Big Bear? we had to wait for our sandwiches (over 5 minutes, they made us pull over into a parking spot), which they then delivered lukewarm along with lukewarm fries. Do things instantly drop to room temperature at altitude? no, you can't get away with that, I got boiling hot coffee in Lake Arrowhead

My first time to Carl's Junior in about five years. The burger was greasy and that's fine. The onion rings weer okay and the fries were okay. It ended up costing almost $20 for two double hamburgers, medium fries and small onion rings. I don't eat fast food that often and was pretty surprised at how much things cost? I miss then dollar menus that all the fast food joints used to have. Oh well I was hungry and thankful for the food. Next time I will pack a lunch from home. Lol

Now, I've had several hamburgers at several locations and some of them were disappointing but this place made one of the most delicious and meaty hamburger!!! I really enjoyed it from start to end!!!

Idk that new mix or match deal...the cheese burger was sorry. Dry and not tasty. Maybe stick to the main menu. Regular cheese burger aren't great. And the shakes don't quite do it. Kinda foamy and plain jane. I recommend the steak and egg breakfast burrito and the breakfast burger.

My family and I found it a bit hilarious this establishment was using AI to review our orders through the intercom but nonetheless the food was awesome.

Wished we could have used the restroom after driving for over 4 hours. Saw them turn away a UPS driver who needed to go and we felt bad for him. Lots of people tried to go in. Drive through line stopped dead for 10 minutes for an unknown reason. At least the food was good and they got the order right.

I always ask for my order No lettuce NO cheese I get no lettuce but for what ever reason They forget and include the cheese. Once out of 5 times I've been there they got it right. The place is Great 5 stars... following directions not so much! So my visits are less ...kid saying being you asked!

I'm hoping they're doing remodeling because the menu was printed on the counter and a small sign on the wall. There was cement work going on outside. We were the only people on there, but they made us come get our bag of food to eat inside? Bathrooms were fine. Food was as expected from a fast food place.

Maybe a 2.5 star rating is what they really should receive, but I'll roumd up to 3 stars.... The food and French fries were cold when we received them. We went through the drive-through, and that was good, not a long wait at all. Fried zucchini bites are a great little buy and very good but no milk shakes they ran out of ice cream. Overall, I was just bummed that everything was cold and not very warm beside the zucchini bites that came out HOT!!

Not good. The employees were super friendly, but unfortunately the cleaning of the place isn't being accomplished. The tables were dirty, the new ranch chicken burger wasn't good. I asked for two burgers, one had the chicken patty, tomatoes and lettuce, the second one just the chicken patty and two pickles, that's it. The beverages were really watered down. Again, the attitude of the employees is phenomenal but if you aren't providing a good product and a clean restaurant, what's the point!?

Really has gone down-hill. Quality is NOT number #1. I always get less of what I ordered. Or wrong items. Their sandwiches look like cook smashed buns flat or ripped. It seems like the farther the store is away from the main company. The less Carl's makes food great.

If you like the idea of waiting 20 minutes for the 3 cars ahead of you to order (during the slow season and not at lunch or dinner) this is the place for you. They are constantly out of essentials and the burgers are usually overdone. The employees are always nice though, even if they are the slowest drive through in town, maybe soCal.

Very very slow service. Quiet busy at 1:30pm on Monday. After a 20 minute wait in the drive thru line. We paid and were asked to park and wait foe our order. Took 15 more minutes! I understand busy, but this location is not staffed well enough for weekend crowds.

Dirty, no toilet paper, no soap in either bathroom (how do employees wash their hands!), and dirty outside. Makes you wonder what the food prep stations look like!

It's all nooice to have up the mountain but when they don't stay the hrs that are posted its annoying to make the drive to other side just for them to take off. I get it not much work maybe can leave early. But this a corporate chain. You should stay til hrs posted. I made it 10 min before closing drive thru lights on and they do t acknowledge me I'm sitting by speaker now past the 10 min it's closing time. Faw

First off, time to wait for order at drive thru was slower than normal. Person at the window was friendly though second, California burgers were cold and fries were cold. Third, I ordered onion rings and was given waffle fries instead. Fourth, I ordered a charbroil BBQ chicken sandwich combo and was never asked what side I wanted with it. Was given regular fries which I would have asked for anyway. Asked for light ice with the drink and when finished it was still at least halfway full of ice. Light ice? Seriously? Also, I live aways from your location but had ordered through drive thru before and the food still had more warmth then. To be fair though I did add a shake at the window. Please strive for betterness in the future. I've been here before and gotten service and food worth 5 stars.

I came to bring my kids for there first time here at the big bear mountains, and we had to get breakfast so we decide to visit Carl's Jr. The food was good, the only bad experience was that I had spent $40 for breakfast and I asked for ranch sauce and one of the lady employees there didn't want to give me one unless I paid 0.27 cents for it. And to top it off I asked for more coffee and they had an attitude even to serve me some more coffee, they act like it comes out of there paycheck. We come to visit and eat to these restaurants and the way they treat the tourist is unacceptable. Maybe they should trained there employees a little more to learn how to treat, and have a better attitude towards there customers and better customer service.

We have ate at Carl's for years. The Big Bear Lake store constantly have screwed up our orders. Tonight, it has been 4 years since we've eaten there. Because, of that reason. And, AGAIN they have messed up our order. They don't read back what the order is before giving it to the guest. As a customer. I want (ALL) MY ORDER. We got home. And, there is no quality control as I see it. Very, Very Frustrating. Especially when your charging almost $100.00 for a family of 6 people We always have something left out. So when we get home. And, it's not complete meal. And you tell me... When your hungry. Do you want to travel 15 minutes their to get what was not put in the bag. We ordered (that we didn't get) a $10.00 item. Ridiculous. Someone in regional district has to check on your business procedures. And train your staff to read back. And, double check each order before giving it to the customer.

The use of AI in a drive through is the peak of terrible customer service. Going to this place is a nightmare and leaves you furious when you get out of it. Carl's Jr, CHANGE YOUR ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Came here during a day trip with my family. Spent $46.00 for my family to eat. Asked for mustard and they had a freak attack. Asking for more money for mustard. If you come here make sure to bring some mustard packet with you as they are tight on the condiments. I mean I ordered the burger plain. That means I saved them money on tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions and cheese. They Couldn't even shoot me a squirt of mustard.Shame shame shame dry burger had me choking. Had to call 911 half way down the hill burger had me sweating if I could have just have that squirt of mustard I could have been alright.

This location has been poorly run for over 15+ years. Food is never right and they give you bogus excuses at to why they won't give a refund like the register doesn't work or they'll tell me that Carl's policy says no refunds which isn't true. They're constantly hiring people who have no idea what they're doing, customer service is horrible, and the food is always gross and inconsistent. Should have gone out of business years ago. Their only business seems to be tourists who don't know any better. Don't come here, spend your money on local businesses, and help the local economy. Better options, quality, and much better customer service when you go local.

If u order something simple the ai is great but if u want to add good luck. It tried to add another burger just by me asking for jalapeño. Then if u ask to speak to a person u get someone who doesn't speak English. Once again they wanted to add a burger just cause I asked for jalapeño on a burger. Then after all that if u ask for ranch they want to charge u. Go to jack n the box. They'll treat u way better an be quicker.

Food was extremely cold. Had to wait for our food the employee xiara told us to wait said was going to be hot and fresh that was a lie. It was cold. The kids meal was missing fries. If we get food borne illness I will report it to the health department

Usually enjoy Carl’s very much but not this time. Ordered a 5 piece chicken tenders and waffle fries through the app. Tenders although good they gave me 4 and one ball of fried batter, they did not include my sauce on the closed bag either. Got punked on the waffle fries barely got any and to top it off they didn’t have any ranch. My cheese cake was broken bc someone just through it into a bag. Very disappointed will not return to this location

Long drive through wait (15 minutes plus) and then my order was incorrect. Another 10 minutes, but I was asked to park and wait. I did. Got my food with french fries all over on the bottom of the bag and then they were cool and hard. I took the whole order back and asked for my money back. Took the manager 11 minutes to get money back, as he couldn't find his keys. Will not go there again!!

They said that they were having trouble with the char broiler, 30 minutes before closing at 10pm. They only had spicy chicken sandwiches available. In the best case, they were truthful and this is an issue that may need mitigation at a corporate level. In the worst case, they turned it off and lied in order to close more quickly. The spicy chicken was kind of dry, so the quality is in question, as well. Ultimately, I'm fairly easy going, but I figure it's only fair to accurately review this location, based on this single experience. I'll update this if I end up going back and my experience is any different.

Place is a joke. Staff has no understanding of serving food at the right temperature. Staff leaves food out to get cold and serves cold food, can’t get orders right, place is filthy. Really think this places needs new management and new staff! The standard ia very low at this carls Jr!

AI order machine is a damn nightmare. Then took 20min to get our food. Which the order was wrong and the my wings were burnt and gave me the wrong burger. I'll never go back ...gross

IS MY ORDER REALLY HARD TO MAKE?? I ordered a strawberry shake and waffle fries. It took me 1 HOUR AND 30 DAMN MINUTES to FINALLY got my food. Like for real, yesterday I went to this carls junior place and some lady forgot my burger and still charged me. Damn it CARL!

Probably the most poorly run Carl's Jr I've ever seen. Orders are almost always wrong, they make you sit in the parking lot for up to ten minutes after ordering through the drive thru and the food ends up being cold and still not what you ordered. They seem almost always consistently understaffed, and the AI drive thru ordering is a joke. The people working are always nice, but their management needs a full overhaul.

I would avoid this location if you were in town & I live here. There are quality concerns I hope are addressed. They actually have 1-Stars on Yelp. My food was tampered with after asking them to remake an order that was cold. I was really disappointed (and disgusting) especially working in Food & Beverage. The manager lacks integrity and lied directly to my face. He was unprofessional and I question the quality standards of this person is in charge. I contacted corporate office about my experience and hope it is dealt with.

I went through drive thru and got home and ate my food and drink. I found mold in my cup. After reviewing the health inspection reports with San Bernardino County this restaurant has been cited for major violations of having mold in the ice machine chute on several occasions this past year. They also have been cited for having employees working without food handlers cards, and improper hand washing and glove use. If you are hoping for a little mold with your drink this is the place for you! The health reports are on San Bernardino County Health department website for public viewing.

Food was terrible and it took FOREVER for the food to b ready. Carl's Jr seems to suck badly no matter what city now. They should just close up shop for good.

We stopped by to grab a to-go order. Place was dirty. The soda was all flat. Was asked to pay extra for 2 sauce packets after already paying for our meals. We just got home and there was hair in our chicken sandwich. This was the worst Carls Jr. experience I’ve had.

Good food (6 out of 10). Some of their food is not as good as it use to be as their menu seems to contain much smaller burgers for an increase in price. Their drive-thru (2/10) AI is a pain in the ass and is terribly slow so if you are in a hurry, go somewhere else. I will give their employees a (5/10) as they are always friendly. Cleanliness I will give (7/10) What brings down this fast food joint and other corporates in town is the prices. Two small combos are now almost 30$ I'm going to the mom and Pop places from here in out. Get the Burger has a great burger and is just down the street. Edit:; 2/2025 We ordered some zucchini. The employees were extremely rude and not helpful. We went there for lunch and wanted to redeem their "Newcomer" deal that includes a free item with a purchase when you join their My Rewards loyalty program. The first employee had absolutely no idea what was happening, then she called the shift leader, he came with a huge attitude already 🙄 then seeing their system wasn't working properly and wasn't accepting the qr code in the app offered to order more things to check if it worked then (our bill was already close to $50).. then he got upset when we refused and said he can't do anything if their system doesn't want to accept the qr code. Anyways we just left and went to jack in the box. Honestly, when you have so many competitors in such close proximity you should be more willing to be polite and attentive towards your customers.

Ordered a California burger and not a combo because they did not have fountain drinks. Got the burger is was cold, dry looked like they took to kid burgers and put them together added a tomato and some sauce. Evrytime I come to this Carl's it gets worse.

I'm a local and I've tried this location on 4 separate occasions in 3 yrs and this last time was absolutely the worst. I've worked in food and beverage industry and while it's consuming work it's not extremely difficult to establish a baseline of quality this place has NONE. Carl's Jr do yourself a favor and shut this location down it has such a bad reputation locally, I know the only money you're making is off tourism. Stop being greedy or get a decent manager at this location, it's always someone new 🙄

This is one of the most disorganized, dirty place I’ve even seen. No toilet paper in the bathroom. No soap in the dispenser's. Teens making jokes behind the counter, their was bunch of food ready to be sent out and they stayed there because no one wanted to move a speed above snail. And while behind the register they are checking their phones…

This place is extremely unorganized. As soon as we walked in, there was already a customer complaining about an incorrect order, which honestly should’ve been a warning sign. After waiting for a while just to place our order—because no one was at the register—we finally ordered our food. Our food came out fairly quickly, but our drink sizes were wrong and had to be corrected. The bigger issue was my brother’s order. He was order #5, yet we waited over 15 minutes while they called orders all the way up to #13 before his food was ready. We eventually had to go up to the counter and ask about it. The staff said something in Spanish and laughed. My brother, who speaks Spanish, addressed them, and one of the employees made a comment about him being Mexican, “this one is Mexican”. After that, they finally gave him his food. Overall, the staff was unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful. I would not recommend dining here.

My final time coming to this location as a local. I try to order and get AI, which is fine. But when I asked to speak with someone it takes over 5 minutes. It's ridiculous. Do better!

The drive through uses an AI bot. It misunderstood my order, didn't allow me make alterations, and "completed" the order before I could respond.
