Opinions de Dizen Goff Bloomfield
Had a WONDERFUL experience here!!! In town for the weekend and came here off a recommendation. Such a nice atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. Big shoutout to our server Amare, he really made the experience so much more enjoyable. The Turkish hummus is outrageously good. The steak and the schnitzel was also fantabulous. Also omfg cannot forget the Caesar salad—unconventional but delicious. NO NOTES!!
was craving pita and hummus and this place just hits the spot. I was a bit disappointed that they don't have a hummus platter for me to try out different flavors. The two that I ordered are really good. They are both very smooth and creamy. One has beef and pine nuts that add more flavors. The other one is served hot and it has a really unique taste that I like. Though it can feel a bit too much if you eat a lot. I wish the garlic flavor is spread across more evenly. I'm not a big fan of the shakshuka since I don't like the pepper taste. The place xan get pretty crowded during peak hours so reserve if you can.
The food here is amazing and service from Valentina was stellar! She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes and I didnt even have to think about the menu because everything she brought and recommended was exactly what I wanted! The dorado with labneh and tomato was phenomenal, their chicken schnitzel is delicious as always and their Turkish hummus was something I’ll dream about! Super garlicky with brown butter, what more can you ask for!! The cocktails are delish too and rather strong over too sweet which I prefer!
Amazing food! Everything we tried was full of flavor and really authentic. The staff was friendly, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely coming back.
Dizengoff was my restaurant choice to celebrate an anniversary and I could not have been happier with that decision. The atmosphere was fun, they had a great music playlist, the staff treated us so well, and the food was some of the best we have had. The Turkish hummus, Caesar salad with added chicken schnitzel, lamb kofte, and strip steak were all phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back!
Our server Elle was amazing! She recommended Turkish coffee grapefruit cocktail and you'd be surprised how well those flavors work! We got the apple and radicchio salad and it's pretty tart with a sweet dressing, highly recommend. The vibes are super cozy and music is 10/10, had a great time:) thanks Elle❤️
Amazing!!! Went in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised!! The Turkish hummus!! OMG who knew!! It's served hot and mixed with brown butter, it's fluffy and delicious!! Also, the best schnitzel I have had in years!! Definitely worth a visit.
Came here for a birthday lunch - food was delicious - had the chicken schnitzel which I highly recommend and the hummus and pita and pickles. Only downsides: the pita was not warm at all which I found odd, but everything was delicious regardless of this one minor thing. Super high quality of ingredients and extremely memorable experience. Service was great and attentive but be warned, GET RESERVATIONS! Super popular, this is not a pop in and hope for the best kind of place.
i have been to laserwolf in bk and had an amazing meal so was so excited when i found this was also from the same chef. the food was delicious and comforting. if we had an endless stomach, we would have ordered the whole menu. menu highlights: hummus tehina (try it with the fries and its the perfect bite), fries (obvi), lamb kofte (cooked perfectly and juicy), and coconut malabi (loved it).
We were visiting from out of town and made a reservation at Dizengoff to celebrate a special day together. From the moment we walked in we felt taken care of. David made sure we had a great table, and Valentina was wonderful. This was the best hummus we’ve ever had. French fries had the perfect crunchiness. Entrees were very plentiful. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Highly recommend Dizengoff if you’re in Philly and craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors. This cozy spot, from chef Michael Solomonov delivers Israeli street food vibes with serious flavor. The Lamb Köfte wrap was amazing! 🌯 Fresh lamb meatballs, chopped Salad, Sumac Onions, Tehina, Israeli pickel, hot pepper, wrapped in pita Isralie Breakfast also a MUST try! Za’atar Omelette, Labneh, Schug, Olives, Chopped Salad, Pita Our table shared an unbelievably smooth and rich plate of Hummus Yerushalmi 🥙 Beef, Baharat, Pine Nuts, Parsley, served warm with pillowy, freshly baked pita that’s worth the trip alone. The atmosphere is casual and energetic, with friendly staff who are happy to explain the menu. WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS CONCEPT IN BALTIMORE! 🇮🇱 ממש טעים
Lovely food. Hummus spread variety was pretty unique with some really bold flavors. Pita of course was the soft, warm, and chewy. For mains, the chicken thighs was garlicky, juicy, bright, and flavorful. Chicken a chnitzel was crispy and moist. Everything was fairly basic but didn’t try to be anything over the top. A bit pricey but a porthole experience to come back for.
Had an incredible meal at Dizengoff in Rittenhouse Square—everything we ordered was spot on. The shakshouka was perfect: rich, flavorful, and honestly addictive. The hummus was creamy, packed with flavor, and we ended up ordering extra pita just to soak up every bit. The chicken schnitzel was insane—in the best way—with a generous portion of rice, salad, and tahini on the side. And the tahini ice cream sandwich? In a class of its own. We ordered a lot, and every single dish delivered. The pricing is fair for the quality, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
This place has the best hummus I have had outside of the Middle East—the Turkish hummus was by far and away the standout among the ones we tried. The chicken schnitzel was delicious and very light. The Moroccan cigars were so crispy and flavorful and I could’ve eaten an entire plate by my self. The staff was super friendly and efficient.
Amazing place with absolutely delicious food! The best hummus we've ever had 😋🙌. We ordered the full dinner for $48 per person, which included three types of hummus, tuna and Moroccan cigars, garlic chicken, and lamb—pure perfection. I have to highlight the hummus again! We tried the Turkish hummus (with brown butter, crispy garlic, and urfa pepper, served in a small hot iron skillet—unique and absolutely delicious), the original, and the pitryot (a must-try for mushroom lovers like us!). The hummus and pita were honestly the best we've ever had. A few words about the Moroccan cigars—I’m usually not a fan, but at Dizengoff, they were so good that even I loved them! To top it all off, we were treated to a tahini ice cream sandwich for our birthdays—such a thoughtful touch. Huge thanks to everyone who made our experience so amazing. We can't wait to go back! Wish we still had Dizengoff in NYC.
*good lamb, chicken, wine Cute, chill, and vibrant interior. Went for restaurant week lunch for 2. The lamb and chicken platters were good. Beef hummus was flavorful and unique. The chicken was crispy and good with a side of harissa. The lamb was flavorful. Love the zahav wine. Friendly bartenders. I would come back.
Classic staple dishes from one of your favorite Philly chefs. More casual and economic then his other offerings. Vibe is also younger, more livley and brighter. The dishes match that.
Let me start by saying the service was impeccable. The staff was very knowledgeable about Israeli cuisine and extremely attentive. The hummus was good and the pita was tasty. I wasn’t crazy about the dishes I ordered, though. We ordered the chicken schnitzel and the lamb dishes. That said, we may have just chosen the wrong items. Overall, it’s a good restaurant to try in Philly.
We started with the hummus sampler, served with warm pita — flavorful and delicious. I had the lamb neck for my entrée; it was tender and tasty. The fennel side had a unique, slightly acquired flavor — not my favorite but not bad either. My friend’s za’atar chicken looked and tasted great. Service was friendly and attentive, and overall it was a very good dining experience.
Incredible restaurant! The server was very passionate about the food and made great recommendations. All of the hummus’ were fantastic but special shout out to the cooked Turkish hummus with garlic oil! The chicken was cooked to perfection with a perfect crunchy schnitzel crust! The date cookie was good but was a bit drier than I was expecting. Will definitely be returning
The food is great. Came promptly considering how busy they were. Food and cooks and servers were awesome, we had a vad experience for another reason. The shift manager (middle aged bald guy with glasses) just approached our table and caused some grief. It was freezing out, nobody checked our coats...we had to put them on our bench seats. I have a heart issue despite looking normal. I needed to stretch my leg a little and it stuck out from the table. My legs swell and retains fluid from.prolonged sitting. I didnt think this was a felony. He claimed he almost tripped over my foot sticking out about 12" despite a 10 foot wide aisle to the next seating section. The part that really got me was he spoke down to me in a condescending manner asking me if he needed to bring me a chair or something as if I was a child that was not listening. Everyone at the table was appalled. It just ruined what was an otherwise delicious lunch. Our server was great, 5 stars. Not that we should be judged, but we were just 2 well dressed couples. We ordered apps, drinks, entrees, just no room for desert..otherwise a perfect ticket. Just think everyone has things we are dealing with. Maybe address people with a little more respect next time. The lamb, chicken, and apps were delicious guys.
Hummus: 5/5 A+. BEST humus I EVER HAD. I normally don’t like humus. This was AMAZING. Lamb Kofte: 2/5. The other stuff on the plate was good. The lamb was…not good. Felt like my entire insides smelt like lamb for the next few hours. Still makes me sick thinking about it. Chicken schnitzel: 4/5. Pretty good. Specially if you put some of the humus on it. Could use a little more…seasoning or salt but it was my first time with Israeli food. It could be a cultural thing. Frozen pink lemonade: 4/5. Thank god I ordered this. Was a really good pallet cleanse after that lamb dish. Wish they made the drink minty by actually crushing the mint into the drink and not just throwing it on top, but solid drink overall. Chocolate pita French toast: 3.5/5. A little too sweet. Felt like I was eating a cake but I took the leftovers home and have been enjoying taking bits of it here and there since yesterday. Service: the server came by ONCE like 5 minutes after we got our food and never again. I had to wave her down a few times to order additional things (I ordered the French toast and wanted something savory after a few bites). I mean I was sitting there the entire time that my gf was eating just waiting for the server to come by our area. Overall, In the future, I’ll def order the hummus to go, but won’t be eating the other things
Came for dinner on a weekday. They don’t do take out for dinner so I opted to dine in. The decor was cute. I was seated quickly and the servers were friendly. I ordered the hummus pitryot, Moroccan cigars, and za’atar roast chicken. Unfortunately, all the food was way too salty. I found myself having to drink water throughout the meal and I’m still drinking water now at home. I think the hummus was the least salty of the three items I got; and was decent if spread on the pita bread. Additionally, there is a 20% service fee automatically added to the receipt, which isn’t tip. So I tipped on top of that service fee. That said, I won’t be returning. I think you’re paying for the atmosphere more than the food. If someone took me here for a date, I’d be disappointed. There are better places in Philly to eat.
