How AMAZING is it to walk into a coffee shop with Jesus music playing and extremely professional, kind, gracious owner and employees? Job well done! I am here on my laptop and astonished at this establishment. If it were closer to home I'd frequent it far more often. You're missing out if you don't come here! Oh and did I say, the coffee is amazing? Yeah.

Great food, the fluffiest eggs, and great staff. Not sure how I only recently discovered it... it's been there since '95? Really? Only thing I don't like is they don't take phone orders, so you gotta order and wait there. Otherwise, hard to beat.

Love this place! Bagel salmon was the best I've had and sets a whole new standard for my lox breakfast ideas. Got the Mexican PB delight coffee which was amazing as well. Staff were hardworking and very kind. They were busy and it would be nice if there were more tables but there's a good reason for the popularity and the wait wasn't bad at all. I had a cookie while I waited and barely finished the cookie before the bagel was done. Definitely stop here if you're debating it at all!

Wow, talk about a hidden gem. I’m a Chula Vista native and barely discovered Donny’s Café today (thanks to my dentist for the suggestion). The Mexican mocha was delicious (perfect temperature and the right amount of sweetness) and the turkey sandwich was made with love: fresh toasted sourdough, havarti cheese, avocado, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, and spinach. Both my mocha and sandwich were decent in size and reasonably priced. When a business excels in quality AND quantity, your result is very happy customers. Thank you for the great service and food. I’ll be back!

Super friendly. We went based on reviews and were not disappointed. Very accommodating to customize sandwiches. Out friend dropped and broke a plate - they were very cool about it and immediately offered to remake their sandwich for free. Mocha was tasty. Only minor quibble was that we got three strawberry smoothies and one of them was waaaay too diluted. I am 100% sure that if we had mentioned it to them they would have fixed it, but we had plenty already so didn't bother.

Just an awesome and wholesome cafe. Great people. Outstanding service. Even when the line got long, people's spirits were still in high praise for Donny & Rosie just emit such positive vibes. We had the bacon, egg & cheese with a 6 cheese flavored bagel bun. Delicious.

Wow… Just wow. Food delicious, coffee strong, and service top notch. Price was fair considering how good the coffee and food were. If you are in the mood for some god fresh coffee, tasty treats, and hearty breakfast sandwich Donnys cafe is the spot for you! It is so good in fact I might just make this my regular spot. Facilities are clean, hand sanitizer was available and maintains an open seating area. Highly recommend stopping in.

Quaint little cafe tucked in a little strip mall across from Glenn Abbey Memorial Park. I had the Go-To breakfast sandwich and it was really, really good! The Americano I ordered was also delicious. The staff was super friendly and the place had a family vibe to it. Customers were talking to workers, some cops eating breakfast there were talking with staff -- it was like one big family. There's a reason this place is rated so highly. Fairly wide selection of delicious food and coffee, hospitable staff, and great vibes.

I also decided on their oatmeal which was full of yummy surprises. I would definitely come back if I was in the area. The two gentlemen running a restaurant or extremely kind.

We drove pretty far to come here. I mean... 4.9 out of 5 is amazing. Yes, it is true. Great robust coffee! We had a Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich on a cheddar jalapeño bagel and avocado toast with egg and microgreens. There had to be two fluffy scrambled eggs on each, and a large pile of microgreens on the generous avocado toast. The outdoor dining space is covered with lights and ceiling fans. And a little lending library. Both people working were efficient, personable and kind. Prices are surprisingly reasonable!

I've been eating at Donny's for years since I was in Community College. Seeing as they open early, it's perfect to have a moment of relaxation before and after tackling a hectic school day. The prices are not fast food cheap but you're not paying for fast food quality--quite the contrary instead you'll find sandwiches (for example) of various fine breads, cheeses, and meats. My favorite most of the time are bagel sandwiches with bacon, egg, and cheese (I'm partial to breakfast items so there's that). To pair with my sandwiches or if I just want a pick-me-up I grab a hot cup of coffee, specifically the Blue Sky blend, a blend by Cafe Moto which powers Donny's caffeinated assortment. Friends don't let friends get Pike Blend. Too hot out? Frosty coffee drinks you can have. Tea person? Certainly you'll find some. Want something sweet? A nice assortment of gelato is available too! All in all, Donny's operated by a small crew (often times just Donny himself) is a spot I love to come back to when I can, even if hectic classes are behind me.
