Great family hotel, with very hospitable staff. Perfect bike services as well (laundry service and secure bike storing). Very clean rooms with mountain view. Breakfast and diner is simply amazing. Perfect location to start your cycling tours.

Amazing family-run hotel located near ski lift. The staff were lovely and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was very good, breakfast buffet was diverse and excellent, for diner we had a la carte choice, plus not to forget a very good selection of wines:) The spa facilities provided a perfect way to relax after skiing whole day. Overall, our stay at Alu hotel was exceptional, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Alu Hotel, Bormio – An Absolute Gem! We recently stayed at Alu Hotel in Bormio and had an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the level of customer service was unmatched – every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The food deserves a standing ovation! Every meal was a 5-star experience, with impeccable attention to detail and flavors that left us eagerly anticipating the next course. Truly exceptional! The location couldn’t be better – it’s right next to the lift, making it perfect for a hassle-free skiing or hiking adventure. After a day on the slopes, the hotel’s spa is the perfect haven to unwind. The facilities are top-notch, and the massage therapist, Alex, was absolutely amazing – professional, skilled, and so attentive. Thank you, Alex, for the relaxing treatments! Alu Hotel is a dream destination where comfort, convenience, and incredible hospitality come together. Can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommended.

I along with 6 other Irish cyclists stayed in Hotel Alu while we cycled in this region of the Alps.The hotel service was fantastic throughout our stay.Friendly and helpful staff and owners.Services included washing of your cycling clothes along with a safe place to leave your bike at night. We will be recommending this hotel to all other cyclists as we recall our cycling trip to Bormio. Thank you.

I had a fantastic stay at this Bormio hotel during my cycling trip. Its location just outside town was ideal, offering tranquility yet easy access. The dedicated bike room was secure and well-equipped. I highly recommend the inclusive breakfast and dinner. The food was consistently excellent, with diverse dinner options. The staff, especially Marco at the bar, were exceptional. One standout service was the daily washing of my cycling clothes, which was a fantastic convenience. The rooms were spotless, and attention to detail was evident in the room service. Overall, a wonderful stay with a great location, outstanding food, a top-notch staff, and the added bonus of daily cycling clothes washing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bormio!

We were a group of 13 Irish cyclists and this hotel was wonderful. I wish there were more than 5 stars here to rate this place. Everything about it was absolutely first class. The location, the rooms, the staff, the owners, everything. Then on top of that the food was just perfect, beautiful food and lots of it. I couldn't recommend this place enough. It was just perfect. Thank you. I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in June 2022, from everyone of the staff through to the accommodation the star rating should be reviewed as much higher, as the quality is much higher than any other hotel with this rating we have ever come across. The decor is quite exceptional. The knowledge from the family owners of the area assisted us in making the Stelvio climb cycling before a storm arrived. So grateful for this, our evening meals all taken at the hotel, very well presented and for ourselves not having to search for restaurants each evening was so helpful to ensuring a relaxing evening. We used the spar area which is well equipped, very useful after our cycling days. Thank you Hotel Alu

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous with fantastic views. It is situated very close to a cable car for the active guests and a walking distance to the town centre for us searching for the perfect cup of tea and cake. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious and everything was topped with excellent service.

We checked in last night. It is only a 3 Star Hotel but the Room and the bathroom are in a absolut TOP condition. Held in warm materials an colour. All Bathroom installations are of very good quality and most of all, everything is funtioning perfect. The beds a of good quality. The hotel is truly using the heating system. Dinner and breakfast was of very good quality. Not a michelin star but very very good with a more than acceptable choice (half board) The man on the receiption is knowlegable and speeks good english. The ladies and gentleman in the restaurant are also very attentive, helpfull and very friendly. The prices represent a very good value for money. My evaluation is based on a 35 years experience as Managing director in 4 and 5 star hotels. Certai ly, if you are seeking for mistakes, you can always finf some. But that is not the name of the game. The pictures on the homepage of the hotel mirror reality.

A charming Hotel close to the Bormio 2000 Gondola station. The standard of food and accommodation is very high making this an obvious choice for your stay in Bormio. Looking foward to visiting again winter 2018.

Recently renovated hotel that has modern rooms versus most of the other establishments in the area. The catering here is also decent though the serving quantity at dinner can be a tad more generous given its billed as a place for outdoor cyclists and skiers. The spa area in the hotel is rather small and nothing fancy but can be welcome in winter. The main downsides are the terribly slow internet, anaemia shower water pressure and that it’s beside a bar with a live band that gets pretty loud up till 11pm (but hey, that may be a pro for some people!)

A nice hotel few mins walking distance from the main gondola and 10 mins from the pretty old town center. We loved the modern looking alpine style room with a big terrace. Bar & restaurant staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast could have been better.

Very nice hotel with stylish rooms. Only slight complaint was that there was no shower available for us to use in the afternoon after we had checked-out (we did a bike ride). Breakfast was good, considering the current corona-situation. Would recommend.
