What an amazing experience! From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with an elite dining experience. Our waitress Sarah was amazing. The whole staff was very attentive to making sure every guest in the restaurant was taken care of. They worked as a well oiled machine. I watched the owner come and say hi to every single table. It is the most expensive meal we’ve ever had but completely worth it.

So much fun…so very expensive. It’s not a knock, it’s just an FYI. For two people, the full experience (food and wine pairing) you’re looking at over $1000, all in. Yes, three zeros. (Pics show an empty restaurant. We went on an icy, snowy day. Even schools were closed. Frasca was not.) But what you’re getting is exceptional food, service and ambience. Everyone we came into contact with was highly professional and knowledgeable. And I have never experienced so many courses and wine pairings (free tip: Uber or Lyft). And as a bonus tip, if you’re not going to do the all-course meal, go on a week night and sit at the bar. Often seats are available and you can eat from the single course menu. Bon appetit!

The reputation preceded my visit, but I wanted to experience for myself. From the moment we walked in it was apparent that this was a very different high excellence experience. The number of servers who seamlessly work together to provide world class service that walks the fine line of familiarity and professionalism was extraordinary. The choice between the chefs fixed menu and the four choices was difficult but without unanimous buy in to partake in the extensive chefs menu, we decided to make our individual selections from the four course alacarte menus. We also added an irresistible optional pasta course that was well worth the extra calories. This is truly a special place at all levels. World class!

We're visiting from Memphis. First trip without the kids in 5 years. I found Frasca and knew I had to come here. The menu sounded phenomenal. Went to make a reservation and they offer a Chef's table! I was so excited; I never thought I'd get a chance to do one. It was worth it. Meeting some of the Chefs and hearing first hand about the dishes was incredible. (Sidenote the chefs were all really cool and friendly.) The staff was an important part of the experience. Everyone from Sergei and Jeremy, the GM and head Sommelier, to Sarah and Jesus, our servers made the experience special. And the food was beyond. I've had some high quality food, but this place really showed how every component on a dish matters and works together. Can't say enough good things about this place.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday with Frasca, which was also our first visit, and they truly delivered an unforgettable experience. ☺️🫶🏻🇮🇹 What stood out most wasn’t just the extraordinary service, but it was the genuine connection the owner made with my Italian husband. He spoke to him with warmth, familiarity, and real cultural understanding, making him feel seen, welcomed, and completely at home. 🇮🇹❤️ Impressing my husband here in the States is not easy but tonight, Frasca made it look effortless. Frasca earned their first Michelin Star in 2023, which is one of only nine Michelin-starred restaurants in Colorado. It is evident in every thoughtful touch: the pacing, the flavors, the elegance, and the personal touches. A truly magical night for my love, thanks you to you all. 😉✨

We did the 4 course menu at the bar ($150/pp) with a bottle of Chianti reserve. Good flavors and very fresh. Service was excellent with our wine glass always full. Good for a special occasion/celebration!

Superior dining experience at Frasca. Service, food and atmosphere all deserving of the Michelin star. The stand out dishes were the A5 Waygu and the Risotto di marinara

Don’t walk- run. We literally drove all the way from Colorado Springs to eat here, and not a single sip or eat disappointed. We were so happy- from service to food to recommendations. LOVE!

Had such a great time! The staff was amazing, especially Christian who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. He even sent us home with extra goodies! Every dish was delicious and we can’t wait to return.

Did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Some of the cocktails were a little “meh”, and so I’d be more likely to do wine there in the future. The caviar on corn cake—one of the three starters—was probably the best bite of food I’ve had this year. The crudo (the second course) seemed a bit lacking to me, but others at the table really liked it. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

We had a truly wonderful dining experience at Frasca Food and Wine for my birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm, making us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. You can really feel the care that goes into everything here. We’ll definitely be coming back!

TL;DR: Their star is well-earned. Hospitality impeccable, food outstanding, wine pairings slap. Best place in Boulder, worth the price. We must like this place because we've returned three times, so it's time to review. We've come on Valentine's Day, anniversary, birthday - to sample three different seasonal menus. From our arrival for my birthday dinner I felt treated like a VIP. There was a minor serving accident that could have happened to anyone, and even though we did not complain, the staff all but tripped over themselves apologetically in an effort to make it right and ensure we had a good experience. The waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything they serve. Out of the 9-course meal, nearly every course knocked it out of the park. The appetizer and dessert courses in particular have given someone an opportunity to really show off their skills. They creatively blend flavors and textures I might not have expected, into a culinary powerhouse far more than the sum of its parts. Easily the best meal I’ve had in Boulder, on a level with Beckon in Denver. The one time I’ve had the wine pairing, each wine seemed carefully chosen to complement the dish it was served with, and the generous pours nearly bowled me over by the end of the night. I’m not educated enough in wine to order off their extensive wine list, nor rich enough to get appropriately educated, but if that’s you, I’d trust their sommeliers to make excellent suggestions. Even their cappuccino (from Boxcar in town) is expertly crafted and served with a house-made biscotti. The meal can last hours, and the cost makes this a place to go for a gift or special occasion, but to my mind it is worth every penny.

Y
Yukiko Mitomi

Outstanding dishes which are truly innovative and authentic. Beautiful atmosphere suitable for special occasions. Service was good and people are very friendly and attentive, but out of four dishes, two dishes were served to wrong person (it was two of us). Everything was fantastic except for the tea after meal. If you are English tea drinkers, I wouldn’t recommend their Earl Grey. Maybe it’s just me, but it wasn’t a black tea at all.

M
Mahir Ozmen

Good atmosphere, Italian wines, Italian food, Italian hospitality in Denver. Foods are delicious. You will love the quality. I started with Canederli and carried with penne al Ragu di antra, Alaskan halibut(ippoglosso) which was extraordinary. Ciliegia for closing. Price performance rate is acceptable. When you are around, must do!

Frasca Food and Wine, located in Boulder, Colorado, offers an exceptional and distinctive Italian dining experience. On a snowy evening, the restaurant’s warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with its attentive and knowledgeable staff, made for a memorable meal. The prix fixe dinner began with outstanding bread and butter, a perfect complement to the flavorful trout appetizer. The two pasta courses were authentically prepared, with impeccable seasoning and depth of flavor. The scallop entrée stood out as one of the best I have ever had—expertly cooked and beautifully balanced. The meal concluded with a light and enjoyable dessert, providing a refreshing contrast to the richness of the preceding courses. Overall, Frasca Food and Wine delivered an outstanding dining experience, marked by exceptional food, thoughtful service, and a welcoming ambiance.

A gem in Boulder. An excellent experience each time we visit. Unmatched wine list, eclectic menu of seasonal offerings, and stellar service. It is worth going out of your way to enjoy this restaurant. As well, it serves to influence a growing culinary scene in the Boulder-Denver area.

We went for a Nine course tasting menu that was just fantastic, the servers, atmosphere, food and drinks were well thought out and extremely tasty and not too large portions Asked the bartender for a custom cocktail which was one of the better ones we had (with chartreuse)

E

This was the most extraordinary experience! Sean and Sara greeted us with most inviting welcome, and Zach’s recommendations were absolutely perfect. Every dish of the quattro piatti was innovative and amazing. We were in the middle of enjoying one of the most wonderful dinner when Sean announced that Frasca was awarded the James Beard Outstanding Restaurant in the US just moments before! The staff and the guests celebrated with a complimentary champagne. We were just so happy to be there the night they were awarded as it was well deserved! Sara topped it all with a group photo with the crew right in their kitchen! Over the years, I have visited a few fancy restaurants, but only few are memorable. Thank you all at the Frasca for the excellent culinary experience and your kind hearts, letting us celebrate this night with you! Wishing you even more success and happiness! Thank you for sharing your expertise and a very special night with us.

Top notch everything. Beautiful food. Perfect wine pairing recommendations from Jay behind the bar. And truly the best hospitality experience I’ve ever encountered, and that includes what I’ve seen in a decade of living in NYC. The accommodations for my gluten allergy had me on the verge of tears of gratitude and delight of flavor that I haven’t been able to reach in years (gluten free focaccia and fresh pasta 🫠🥹). The generosity and anticipation of needs is what you hope for in a Michelin star (or any fine dining) establishment, and not a moment disappointed. Ideal for a special occasion or treating yourself. It was the perfect way to spend my last night celebrating in Boulder.

The most amazing Italian fine dining anywhere in Colorado. A great restaurant in every possible respect, and the staff takes care of you at every possible moment. Congratulations on your recent James Beard award too!

World class restaurant competitor sitting humbly in Boulder. Food is exceptional, unique, and arrives via attentive service. I think the restaurant is absolutely deserving of their Michelin star(and probably should have more). Strongly recommend the 9 course tasting menu, and going with the excellent wine pairing that is optional extra. This restaurant is not cheap, but absolutely worth the cost for what you get.

The moment you are greeted by the hostess you feel welcomed. The staff are knowledgeable and you can tell they are working hard for you to have an exceptional experience. My two guest were first timers and I have dragged to restaurants around the nation. At the end of the meal, they informed me that they have had great food and experiences at other places, but here the food, atmosphere, staff and the overall experience was amazing and Frasca is now their #1 restaurant .

Amazing dinner! Every detail was perfect and the food was incredible. Best mocktails that actually taste like a cocktail and not a juice. Dessert was more interesting than yummy but still a 5/5 will be back! Thanks for a great night!

Frasca offers excellent service, a calm ambience, and some quality dishes. The Sea bass and desserts are excellent. Frasca particularly excels in service and ambience, highly recommendedm

Excellent anniversary dinner! I love that they have a full 9 course chefs tasting menu but also have a four course to pick your own dishes. The service was amazing, it seemed everyone in the restaurant knew it was our anniversary and really made it feel special. The food was very unique and I was blown away by how much I enjoyed some of the dishes I was a little skeptical about. Highly recommend doing the wine pairings but if the price is a little too much, you’re able to get tasters of the selections you want without having to commit to all of them.

Came here with my cousin to celebrate him getting his driver's license finally (I needed any excuse to come here, really). I almost felt silly saying that when the staff asked if we're celebrating any occasion, but they still took it very seriously and congratulated us, and even gave us little complimentary chocolates at the end, AND more premium quality chocolate snacks to go which were like Malteesers but with almonds -- very good. The course I ordered started with a thin but super flavorful broth. Then there was a Halibut risotto, pork belly, something else I'm forgetting, duck steak, and banana pudding for dessert (and lastly the above-mentioned chocolates). There was also fresh bread on the side with French butter. All super delicious. We also got some cocktails which were very good considering their specialty seems to be wine. I got the Penicillin which had whiskey and honey I think, and it was lovely. Everything was great and clearly made of the best ingredients because I didn't feel bloated or heavy at all after eating -- it was an amazing gastronomical experience end to end. Even the boss/manager/Maitre D' came by to say hi. The staff were super professional, knowledgeable and timely. Totally worth the price. Chill vibes too.

Came here on a whim while in boulder and was blown away! Absolutely extraordinary food! Each course wildly exceeded my expectations. The fact bean pasta type dish was my favorite, but the lamb, desserts, asparagus, halibut, and every other dish we had here really exceeded expectations. I’ve been to Michelin star restaurants in other cities/states/countries and this one really excels. I think more stars in the future! Will be back for sure, worth every penny.

We attended the guest chef event with Ludo Lefebvre and had the wine accompaniment. Every single component of our meal was absolutely stellar. Each dish was executed as close to perfection as a couple of amateurs were able to judge and some of the bites of food were an event within the larger event. Mr. Stuckey was a gracious host, stopping by our table to check on us. Chef Ludo was also gracious enough to stop by our table and chat with us for a few minutes, as well. All in all, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Frasca deserves its reputation and Michelin star. Well done.

After much anticipation surrounding Michelin’s arrival in Colorado, my husband and I were cautiously optimistic. Many of the restaurants we’ve tried since the awards began here have been underwhelming, but Frasca Food & Wine exceeded every expectation and then some. We dined last night and chose the Quattro Piatti Menu, which was flawless from start to finish. Every dish was an elegant expression of technique and flavor, with each ingredient perfectly prepared and thoughtfully paired. The Capesante, or Scallops, were a standout, their delicate sweetness and buttery texture elevated by nuanced accompaniments. The Tagliolini di Selvaggina, topped with the optional white truffle, was nothing short of sublime—silky, aromatic, and indulgent. The Quaglia, perfectly cooked quail, showcased impeccable skill and balance, while the dessert, Fichi, with its marriage of huckleberry and fig, was both vibrant, coconutty and comforting. The Mais, with its unexpected matcha and corn combination, came close behind as a creative and delightful surprise. The atmosphere was equally remarkable, striking the perfect balance between elegance and warmth. Sergei, the general manager, graciously greeted us and set a welcoming tone, while Edison and Jesse, our servers, delivered impeccable service with genuine care and professionalism. Every element of the evening—from the timing of the courses to the thoughtful hospitality—was seamless. As avid travelers who have visited over 30 Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, we can confidently say that Frasca Food & Wine has earned its place among them. After five years of searching, we’ve finally found our favorite restaurant in Colorado. Frasca is a shining example of culinary excellence and hospitality, and it fully deserves the recognition it has received.

Our first visit to Frasca was for their Valentine’s Day 4-course dinner menu. The menu line up was built for a mature palette. Items ranged from Uni to edible gold. Our server(s) we’re very accommodating to my wife’s dietary restrictions despite not having given them an advanced notice. The portions were perfectly sized and paced throughout the evening. When we finished our meal, we were in fact, full. Despite the high ticket cost, a trip to the dormitory will leave you feeling peace as you walk by the multiple James Beard nominations and awards hanging on the wall. They say you eat with your eyes first. Hopefully the pictures I took will allow you to do exactly that. It’s one of those places you go to where you are constantly smiling because it feels like a new and amazing flavor you’ve never had before. While we were unable to partake in the wine pairing, I was able to enjoy the Penicillin cocktail as well as the Rye option. Both were outstanding. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a fine dining experience where the food tastes as good as it looks. The one “con” I would say is that it felt like our server was absent for most of our meal. Instead, we got more direct service from what felt like our main servers assistant. We also got great service from someone who appeared to be either a floor manager or GM. Either way, everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable, they left us alone while we were in the middle of eating, and each person who delivered an item explained each dish in intricate detail. We will definitely be coming back again soon! Thank you for the great evening.

My partner and I went to Frasca to celebrate our anniversary about six months ago. I think of it so often I thought I should write a review. We felt so incredibly grateful to be served and treated with so much respect and care. Our lovely hostess (Rachel) intuitively knew our names as soon as we walked in the door! I was bashful about asking for more bread and our male server so sweetly told me that my desires are important. That just was SO sweet and meant so much to me! Being a server myself, I feel passionate about serving. I believe that you can go above and beyond to make someone’s experience incredibly special. it is obvious that the entire team at Frasca is committed to this too. Thank you for the best evening. 🩷

The prices are high, yes, but the food was excellent and the service wonderful. We did the 6 course with wine pairing, and our total bill ended up around $600. This was a last minute reservation and we were surprised by how thoughtful the preparation was for our anniversary celebration. They even had ‘happy anniversary’ printed on the menu, and a special dessert at the end. There was one dish that I didn’t absolutely love, and I had no complaints about it, but they brought me out an alternative dish without me even requesting it. All the food was lovely and I’d recommend the chef tasting menu with wine pairings.

I can’t believe anyone has ever given this place less than 5 stars. My husband and I have been going here for special occasions for the past 3 years and every single time, it’s absolutely perfect. I have a gluten allergy and they are always ready for me with all gluten free options, the service is impeccable and the food / wine leaves you on cloud nine. We’ve been all over the world and have had a hard time finding a dining experience that gets it right as consistently as Frasca. It’s a true treat. Cannot wait to go back.

Fine dining the way it’s meant to be. Michelin starred and James Beard Award winner - well deserved honors. We loved our tasting menu with wine pairing experience at Frasca from start to finish. Everything was exquisite!

My fiance and I almost spent almost five hours reminiscing over all the courses. The wine pairings were divine. The dishes, absolutely amazing. It has been the best experience I've ever had!

Frasca is an experience, not just a restaurant. We have been there several times for special occasions and never have been disappointed. I like that they have two options, tasting menu and the more affordable Quattro Piatti, which is also excellent. I personally think their seafood/fish dishes are the best. They can compete with any michelin star restaurant in the World but the atmosphere is somewhat casual, without sacrificing service. Great balance. Best in CO!

R
Raul Pineda (Nude)

My girlfriend Grace and I splurged for our 2nd anniversary and decided to try our first Michelin Star restaurant. I was elated and awe-struck with every bite and sip. We ordered the 4-course with the added Chef's Pasta, and I added the half-glass wine pairings. Everything was fresh, fragrant, delicious, and plentiful. Every plate was balanced beautifully, and each ingredient was pronounced and thoughtfully curated. The scallops and fish were so tasy and flaky, it was as good as back home near the coast. "I think this is the best bread and butter I've ever had in my life... do you think we could take some home?" and later, "Honestly, I could've just had five plates of this [bread and butter] and it would still be a ten out of ten." -Grace There were small details that made the experience very memorable. The "Happy Anniversary" labels on our menus, a plate with little dessert bites at the end, and a perfect zucchini and tomato consome at the start of the meal that gave me a Ratatouille-esque flashback to my mom's cooking from when I was a child living in Mexico. Everything was spectacular and I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face the whole way through.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Frasca, and the entire experience was phenomenal from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and memorable. Every dish felt intentional and expertly executed. The service was impeccable: attentive, warm, and perfectly paced without ever feeling intrusive. It truly elevated the evening and made the celebration feel special. Highly recommend for a special occasion, and we would absolutely return.

Absolute worth every penny! the service was phenomenal with just as great quality of food and wine. The staff does a great job making you feel like you’re right at home with the food making you feel like grandmas home cooking. Would love to come again.

Our favorite restaurant in Colorado. A place truly dedicated to service and the meaning of hospitality. The food is cozy and elegant and embodies the seasons perfectly. There is a clear identity to the food that many other Michelin restaurants do not have. The chef’s table is an extra special experience, would highly recommend. Grazie mille to Jeremy, Sergei, Bree, Zach, Lillian, Bobby, and everyone on the Frasca team. You all have set the standard for the CO dining scene. Do NOT skip out on the frico caldo!!!

Frasca was an excellent experience. I went a couple of weeks ago for a special occasion and it was worth the price tag. Its a culinary and dining experience that was memorable and excellent. The entire staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and showed true enjoyment for what they do. Our main server, Wesley was attentive and great the entire evening. The food was full of flavors that are tied to the story of the restaurant and offers something unique. The atmosphere and setting was something special, I feel like we forget the art of dining in the US sometimes and the folks at Frasca have crafted a great experience worth trying if you are in Boulder.

Fantastic experience and exceptional food. Best risotto I've ever had. My only feedback would be bigger portions on the quattro piatti menu. We were all hungry later that night.

K
Kelsey Lundström

The food was delicious - an understatement. The chefs had incredible pairings and combinations. The plating and creativity was astounding. I plan to come again next month. I do think the service could have been a little less obvious in their.... uncertainty of our party. A party of four, younger women was not originally accepted wholeheartedly BUT, we cracked 'em and by the end of the night, I believe they warmed up to us. I really enjoyed the excitement the servers had while presenting each course. They were attentive and a guest with us HAD to share the delicious-ness with her husband. They had a great presentation for a to- go bag. Overall, very pleased. And again, planning on returning with my husband within the next few weeks. A MUST stop.

This restaurant is nothing short of wonderful in every way. The menu is everything you would expect of a James Beard Award winning and Michelin Star rated restaurant. The service is impeccable. The little touches are present throughout the evening. The wine pairings take the food to the next level. And the digestiv cart is really something to behold. Absolutely a gem in Boulder, Colorado. Bobby Stuckey is a master of the craft and it shows in the way he takes care of his guests. That same hospitality has flowed down throughout his entire team to make you feel pampered and yet still right at home. I can't say enough good things.

We had the prix fixe menu and most of the dishes were great, but the palette cleanser was awful! It tasted like frozen vinegar, we were both shocked they would serve that. I could not stomach it so my fiance ate mine. It was horrible. The dessert was also very underwhelming.

M
M17

Pros: The service is high-end top tier. Food was hot and made with care. Negatives: It was so hot like the AC wasn't on. I was sweating and very uncomfortable. The overall amount (small portions) of food you get for the price isn't worth it. We went for our anniversary and wish we had gone elsewhere.

We are visiting Boulder and this is a very upscale restaurant right in town. We are able to walk to the restaurant from our downtown hotel. I loved the room and the service was impeccable (5 stars on that) However, the food was good but not 5 star. They are partially prix fix on the menu with a choice of many courses or a 4 course choice. We were told that we should all order the same in terms of which prix fix menu because of pacing. So, we all got the 4 course deal for $125 ea. I’ll comment on the photos of the items I tasted. Overall the presentation was exquisite and the portions small so we weren’t too stuffed. Flavor wise it seemed that the balance was a little off on some of the menu items. See my photos for more info on each dish. With cocktails and apps we spent $1300 for 4 ppl so pricey…which I’m willing to pay if food is 5 star.

G
Gustavo Ranz

During my recent visit, I had their 8-course meal, which was delicious but a bit underwhelming in other aspects. The presentation of each dish was incredible, they were beautifully crafted and appealing. The generous use of truffle in many dishes added a luxurious touch. The standouts were the buckwheat cake with caviar, the gnocchi di zucca, and the pairing of lobster with wagyu. The drinks, particularly the Old Fashioned, the Luxury Sidecar, and the Penicilin, were very enjoyable. Ending the meal with complimentary chocolates was a nice surprise. The ambiance didn’t quite hit the mark of a high-class establishment, primarily due to the staff’s casual demeanor and lack of attention to detail (re-filling waters, getting new drink orders, etc.). This was further emphasized when I saw someone in the kitchen dressed in a t-shirt, rather than a chef’s uniform. Although there were some memorable dishes, the overall experience was marred by slow service and a price tag that might not reflect the value of the experience. UPDATE: Went to Bruto and did their tasting menu, WAY WAY better than Frasca. Highly recommend skipping this tasting menu for Bruto instead.

This was my wife and I's first visit here, the restaurant was very nice and the staff was great. We went with the tasting menu which was good, some things were great others were merely ok. My wife had the very unlucky experience of finding a small piece of white plastic in her first plate which consisted of 3 bites, this was found in the 2nd bite on the plate, shaped like a leaf. Needless to say we were very surprised and not to thrilled, this is our first experience of a Michelin star restaurant. Obviously the last thing we expected was finding this, understand things happen but when your eating at a restaurant that has been awarded a star this was not ok. The manager apologized but that was basically all he never came back and further followed up with us. Just a brief apology no explanation. We have eaten at maybe upscale delicious restaurants and honestly this didn't hold up to some of the others we've been to. When you come to a restaurant of this caliber, I like anyone would expect so much more and it just didn't live up to the hype. We we're disappointed in the quality of some of the plates and honestly it just doesn't justify the price we paid to dine here.
