Ichiban Sushi Asian Bistro

I visited for the first time with my girlfriend for dinner and to catch up on old times...the service was good ..a bit busy but the servers worked together and made it work...taking orders and checking on us ...we ordered appetizers and wine.....fresh mango slices and veggies tempura. Next, my girlfriend ordered salmon and veggies...this came with soup and salad. I ordered the Buddhist dish which consisted of veggies, tofu and thin noodles. Delicious ! Dessert was green tea ice cream...it didn't have a strong taste very subtle taste but delicious 😋 great time and I suggest making a reservation!

While not as fresh as the west cost, the food was still delicious. We had multiple sushi dishes and a chicken dish, but everything was on point. However, the presentation of one dish was different with a full filleted fish, which I've never gotten before. As for the general tsos chicken, it came out very fresh/ hot. So much in fact that it was still hot when we got it home. Overall, my favorite dish was the vegas roll. Will be back!

I’ve just recently moved into town to stay with family for a while and was recommended to come here. I came for a late night dinner with the cravings of sushi and fried rice. The servers were very patient with me as I did not know what exactly I should order. Nonetheless, they gave some great recommendations. Honestly speaking, I don’t even remember what type of fried rice I even got but all I know is that the food was frickin amazing! I would be coming around soon enough again.

Excellent sushi and cocktails were perfectly mixed. Can't speak to the hibachi, but I'll give it a try next time for sure. The evergreen roll was excellent.

A Fusion Experience at Ichiban sushi asian bistro. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ichiban sushi asian bistro a culinary haven that seamlessly blends Japanese and Chinese cuisines. The diverse menu, featuring a tempting array of sushi and General Tso's Chicken, I was impressed. General Tso’s Chicken had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a delightful crunch that complemented the tender chicken. The sauce was rich, coating each piece perfectly without being overly heavy. It's evident that the chefs at have mastered the art of Chinese cuisine, and the attentive staff contributed to a delightful dining experience, providing recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. I will go to this restaurant again. Love it so much!!

Oh my god!! food was delicious !! Everyone was so nice to me and my husband!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi, asian food!!

I don’t know what change has been made but the food is on point. I haven’t had decent egg foo yung in yearsss. It was delicious. The general tsos is always top tier . So glad the Ichiban flavor is back

I had a good time. The sea bass was decorated with other foods to eat. Th calamari was thick chunks unlike thr cut and small pieces ai usually get. Will recommend and come back

Third time here and food is always on point. Service is great, we had Anna again, very hospitable and always fantastic service. Nice little gem hidden in the back of Bowie town center.

You know is good if all the food is gone. Very helpful staff, fresh and tasty food. Definitely adding this to one of my regular places to eat... oh, and the kids loved it.

It's not the fanciest or nicest but it's plenty charming for being a small joint in a local strip mall. Very good food and very friendly service I definitely recommend with enough atmosphere to justify 5 stars for what it is.

The food is good and the service is good however if you don't read the menu carefully you will overlook the fact that they impose a 20% tip on the bill...

Frequently order take out from here because their Chinese and Thai dishes are generous, well-priced, and always tasty. The restaurant itself is also nice and I’d consider dining in. My go tos are the Singapore noodles, pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, Thai basil, and panang curry pot.

The food here is good. The service was great. But it is expensive. 5 people and each got 1 meal a piece and 2 drinks $220 for the table and that included a $30 tip/gratuity.

They only get a 4 stars because of the bathrooms being out of order and open - it was a little weird! Buuuuuuut the restaurant itself was wonderful. The food was good, the drinks were strong, the place was clean, the environment was friendly, and Chole gives amazing service and a strong drink lol. Now let's address the other reviews, my first impression of this place 2 years ago was not that great, but giving them another shot was worth it and I sat at the bar solo without my newborn and my former lmao. (We still love that person) And now I love this place lol - I will be returning. I ordered the Margarita (classic), Seafood Gyoza, Surf and Turf roll, Thai Drunken Noodle-Chicken.

Since this establishment is under a new owner I figured I’d give them a shot even with the poor reviews. Went to happy hour and we absolutely enjoyed the entire experience. Drinks were on point (kinda hard to mess up draft beer) staff was surprisingly friendly and accommodating. Especially, our bartender, Jackie and Sushi Chef Vincent which I believe is the new owner. I ordered the Sashimi Regular and asked for specific fish versus random ones and they were able to accommodate my request. I, thoroughly, enjoyed my meal!! I was disappointed when it was all gone. The lounge/bar area could use newer seats as they were ripped and was uncomfortable to sit on with shorts. But other than that I would definitely recommend folks to give this place a second chance.

Let's get into it. I have no idea why this place is as empty as it is. I arrived at the bar 4:30 pm. The bar was completely empty except for Joshua the bartender. Joshua remain accommodating, fun and engaging the entire time. 5/5. I highly recommend the drinks. The green tea shot is some of the best I've ever had with prices on the moderate side. 5/5. The sushi was flavorful and fresh. The Wasabi could use a revamp. Not a fan of the shrimp tempura either. But let's face it, tempura anything is just a cop out for people who don't actually eat sushi. Presentation was excellent 4/5. Atmosphere was calm. I highly recommend this place intimate dinner or a drink at the bar

Good evening and hello! I came to this joint on my recent trip to the Annapolis area. I was staying in Bowie and this sushi 🍣 restaurant was down the street from my hotel. I ordered take out. The prep time was the usual, about 15-20 mins, and the place had quite a bit of people whenever I arrived, however not jammed packed. I ordered my familiar sushi: ikura, a spider roll, and a rainbow roll. Super solid sushi. Ikura was salty and flavorful. Nice pop from the roe. The soft shell crab for the spider roll was a little undersized but the flavor and texture were excellent. The rainbow roll was delicious but the cuts of fish were a bit sloppy in my opinion. Nothing major unless things like this crinkle your nose. A great choice if youre within walking distance of the adjacent housing properties.

Went here for lunch and ordered takeout broccoli with brown sauce and shrimp (shrimp and broccoli). The atmosphere was calming and relaxed, the guy who gave me my order was very kind! I got home and started to chow down and of course had to leave an honest opinion! The food presentation is beautiful! The shrimp and broccoli tasted fresh but what I will say is that the carrots did not taste fresh and had an odd after taste. Besides that, I would definitely go back again! Please keep all ingredients fresh ichiban! You guys are on a good path 👏

I came here the other day with some friends and the food was pretty good. Had a dragon roll, chicken dumplings and general tso chicken. The dragon roll looked so pretty, I just had to capture it. The only downfalls were that their happy hour ‘cocktails’ were only shots and the wine was mediocre. Other than that, I would definitely go back to try more food. 8/10

Food tasted good. The orange chicken has real orange rind integrated in the sauce. The pad Thai is also tasty but with small amount of chicken. They automatically charge 18% gratuity.

Sushi was good. Bar was fairly empty on a Saturday night. 18% gratuity automatically added to your bill. I typically tip at that rate but don't like it when it's on there automatically.

Good food. I have been a couple of times for sushi and dinners. The sushi is fine for this area but there are better places out there. The dinners are typical but good. Nothing really special about this place but it has good food. If you are in the mood this will definitely do the trick

So I used to love this place but now I just like it. Sushi is good. It went under management, so I miss the old waiters and bartenders. They now carry more items, which makes it no different than other hibachi places. It is a nice place to go on a date or possibly take kids.

I like this restaurant. They had some jazz playing and the atmosphere was nice. Dimly lit. I've been here like 10 times and I almost always enjoy my meal. The food tastes fresh and the staff is friendly.

I could kick myself for being in the area for two years and not trying this establishment sooner. I ordered The Shrimp Shumai, a Salmon Roll, Bowie Roll and The “Money Bags”. Which were totally not what I was expecting. Your usual crab ragoon has a distinct taste that I don’t like, the ratio of cream cheese is always overpowering for me- I could never understand why others loved them so much. However after trying these - believe the hype and get them! Everything was flavorful and filling.

I had a great time here but my date not so much. We arrived late and there was only a few people at the restaurant as it was very close to closing time. I ordered the calamari and she ordered a tea. When she got the green tea it smelled like a rusty pot and it tasted metallic, nothing like classic green tea. My calamari was excellent. We then ordered our entree. She got a sushi bowl salad type thing with some sushi rolls and I got general tap chicken with Jasmine rice. Well again my meal, excellent but gets not so much. One bite into the bowl and she found a nice long thick juicy hair, very healthy, good texture and black. She was obviously disgusted. She asked for a remake but for whatever reason they couldn't make get another one (I'm guessing because it was closing time). So she ate her 4 shrimp rolls and I ordered her calamari appetizer since she had some of mines and enjoyed it, plus she was still hungry. She really did not enjoy the experience but my experience was decent. The atmosphere on the place was great. It was in a great location.

White ginger is the best. If you spend less than $10 they make you pay with cash.

I am giving Jackie, our waitress/ bartender five stars. She was amazing! I had the orange peel beef and it was delicious. We originally came here for sushi and after our order was taken, we were told that the sushi chefs left so we needed to order from the hot menu. We were very disappointed that they left early. Also, this place chargesan automatic 20% gratuity no matter your table size. We didn't like that at all especially when not getting good customer service from the host. I would recommend trying the food but be prepared for the attitude from the hostess.

My wife and I love sushi and decided to try this spot in our area. I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but the food and service at this location were very disappointing. We ordered hibachi with chicken, the Raven Roll and Annapolis Roll. The rolls were ok, but the chicken and vegetables left much to be desired with a weird after taste. The service was poor; our server only came to our table to take our order and deliver our food. We had to flag him over just to ask for water and our check. It’s also worth noting that a 17% gratuity is automatically included, which in any other case we typically would have tipped more.

The server was nice and pleasant, but the overall service was not good. First, it took a long time for the server to greet us. I think it might have been due to him being the bartender and server. Secondly, I ordered a Hendricks Crush which should have had gin, St. Germaine, club soda and lime. I tasted it and knew it wasn’t that. I asked him to take it back. He returned and admitted there was no St. Germaine so he used triple sec and grapefruit juice. In this situation he should have just said there was no St.Germaine not tried to give anything. It also took forever to get out check and when we paid he said the machine wasn’t acting right and could we give cash for the tip. Lastly, the sushi was not very good but my friends said the Pineapple wok with chicken was good. I wish I could give them 3 stars but I most likely will not return.

This place used to be good. Now with the 20% gratuity regardless of table size that’s changed. I’ve been eating sushi for years and pre Covid I used to come here a bit but things have changed. The service is okay but it does leave something to be desired. The food is also okay but the inflated prices make it taste sub par. My son and I try different sushi spots and this one we won’t be back to

the sushi has really gone downhill. the tuna wasn't fresh, and the salmon roll was full of diced salmon. last time we went, the avocado was brown and soft. will be looking for a new sushi spot in bowie. Will change review if quality improves

My experience was not this best at all. There is always one bad apple. When I first sat down, this particular waitress tossed my napkin, spoon and knife on the table.😱 At that moment I should have removed myself but I said it was a small toss so I won’t make it a big deal. Let’s keep in mind this was my first time there. I ordered the soft carp sushi spices roll. Every sushi is not made the same. Sorry to say, it was too tough for me to swallow! When I attempted to explain, her only responses was, “Everyone likes this and we make everything fresh!” Never did I challenge her that they didn’t make their food fresh. I do know that most sushi rolls are made right there when you are in the restaurant. My apologies, it was not the best for me. She never asked if she could accommodate many any other way! Bad attitude and customer service!😳 I still remained polite and continue with my lunch with an ex-coworker. The waitress went and told all her co-workers that, “I did not like the food and she wasn’t going to give me a refund along with a few other things!😱 As I kept my eye on the other waitress of how attentive she was towards her customers, I said to myself, I should have sat over there. I made sure I gave her (the kind/polite) waitress’s a compliment for her style of professionalism and to keep up with the great service. As for the waitress that waited on us, no thank you! Oh, she didn’t bring water to start, and we had to ask for a bag for leftovers! My recommendation to her is, if you are unhappy at the restaurant find another job and make sure you sign up for Customers Service Class 101 @ 9:00am!

I am deeply disappointed with how I was treated by the manager at this restaurant. I dined in for lunch and ordered sashimi and curry. The sashimi meal included miso soup and salad, which were served first. I ate them, and when the sashimi arrived, I politely asked if the sushi chef could slice it a bit thinner. However, the manager approached me with an attitude, stating, "We can’t slice it for you. If you don’t want it, I can return it." When I received the bill, I noticed that I was charged for the miso soup and salad, which were supposed to be part of the meal. I didn't mind paying but when I asked about it, the manager rudely responded, "Just pay, and I don't want to see you again." To avoid escalating the situation, I paid the bill and left the restaurant. However, as I was leaving, another staff member followed me to the parking lot and took a picture of me and my car, which felt like harassment. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and while I would have liked to return to this restaurant, I will not be doing so due to the poor treatment. I strongly suggest that the manager undergo management training to learn how to treat customers with respect. P.S. YOUR RESPONSE PROVED TO THE WORLD THAT YOU ARE VERY DISRESPECTFUL. GOOD LUCK!

The worse food and service ever. As they use old moldy lemons in the drinks and take NO accountability for the lack of food safety and quality.

Since Covid, the quality of this place has gone down tremendously, especially in the food I ordered the snapper the fish seem like it was old. Hard It really smelled bad and very fishy like it was old. It used to be such a nice restaurant back in the day now, it’s not worth it The fish was really hard and they put too much batter on it. I should’ve known when I only walked in and saw three people in there at 6 PM.
