Just discovered this restaurant! We were traveling and had a one night stay nearby. What a find . Truly a Tex-Mex standout. Our waitress was helpful guiding us to excellent choices. The salsa comes very hot to the touch.’ The pepper heat is tasty but packs a punch. Enchiladas, tacos, rice , and beans were some of the best ever! If their other locations are equal to this one add to your list.

Get there early. Good food.. but feel rushed after meal... very busy restaurant...2 of 4 of us were done eating but the waitstaff was trying to clear the table while half of the party is still eating. ..we sat and visited after we paid but felt like we were being rushed out. Visited several times.... 7-10-22 most recent ... food was great...service was great... no rush at all... April 2024.... early lunch..11am...food was excellent.... not busy at all.... service was good.

I had a delicious dinner with friends Sunday night. We had excellent service from Pedro, Miguel, and the rest of the staff. Consumables included a frozen Margherita (big enough to share), fish tacos, freshly made ceviche, and a tack salad with shredded chicken. The staff is very personable and service oriented.

This place was amazing from moment we walked in the door. We were seated right away, greeted by our server, given chips and salsa, and drinks were on the table in a flash! The food arrived in record time and it was amazing. I am stuffed and happy about it!

Food here pretty good, comes out really quick, even when the place is packed. And they got a soft serve ice cream machine on the way out the door when leaving.

It's a bit loud but the food is great. I dined at lunch time on Sunday. It wasn't very crowded at all but felt like rushed to leave. We barely finished our plates and they grabbed the plates, chips, and salsa. No chance to nibble while visiting with my friends we met up with. We would have gotten up to make room if it were busy but it wasn't even half full.

Sat quickly, friendly staff, quick service! It seemed a quiet night so many staff member congregated riiiight in front of our table at their station but still made for an “awkward” dinner with family. Food was served quickly, drink was strong! Will be back for some refried beans!!!

Service is off the chain. Didn’t get thirsty or need chips. The queso and Guacamole was great. I also added two tacos (ground beef), very good. The enchiladas where good but will not get the red sauce again.

Great Mexican food with a large, open dining area and fast, friendly service. We stopped in for lunch and were seated right away and had drinks and chips/salsa within a few minutes. Lunch was served quickly and was hot and freshly prepared and tasted great. Overall a great experience with a diverse menu with something for everyone. Don't forget the soft serve cone on your way out the door!

We always enjoy our date nights at La Casona. Food is always on point. Just wish their salsa was a tad bit thicker. Draft beer at the bar is always ice cold too !!

Service sucks. It can definitely be WAY better. Staff is not friendly at all and would hardly come check on us. Also kept staring at the screen while paying to see how much she was getting tipped, literally after the sucky service. SO unprofessional!! Food was good, but would not come back to this location again.

Horrible experience with server, was rushing she had multiple tables and made a mistake putting in my card number and then eventually charged me but deleted the payment off of the tender because she accidentally gave herself a 0.04 tip. Not paying attention she made multiple accidents and in resulting to me having to pay twice in which they said i will receive a refund for the first payment but could not refund me immediately for her mistake. Food was good but horrible customer service experince , she was making it seem like she didn’t make a mistake rather than just owning up to it. Threw away the receipt and all as if my statement wouldn’t show what was paid.

I have just left Lacosona in Lake Jackson and was treating my neice to a birthday lunch. This is where she wanted to go. While we were eating the manager walks by with a angry expression at out table and does not even asks how our food is. I do not waste food. I asked the waiter for a to go box and it was not the ones with the different sections. I asked for a sealed container to put some sauces in. There was a miscommunication error. He brought me 2 green sauces. I asked for a bag to put the food in and he brings me a small sandwich size ziplock bag. My niece goes to the front to asj for a plastic bag. The woman comes back with a bad attitude and holds two bags up. They did not even include a small piece of cake or even a little soppapilla to accent the birthday event as most places do. Our waiter did offer good services even though there was language barriers. He was tipped generously. I will not be returning to this establishment. Needs quite of bit of improvement.

Did the recipe change? The hot sauce tasted different this time, very tomato heavy. I was really looking forward to it and ended up feeling pretty disappointed. 😢🥴 Chips and salsa was my go-to from la casona.
