This is a very popular local and tourist bar and grill. A great selection of beers and the Rhino burger is fantastic 😋. The food is served very quickly and piping hot , freshly made too . Not too expensive and definitely would return.
Great steak, delicious old fashioned, friendly staff! What a little gem off the 395. I can't wait to stop by again!
Lovely atmosphere, great service and the fried chicken was delicious. The burgers were equally good, would recommend anyone visiting the town to dine here.
The “Rhino’s Miner” tastes really nice! Love it !
Great service great food. Great beer! This is a fun locals bar with lots of TVs with sports playing. I have I suggest rolling the dice to try to win a beer.
I ordered a pizza for the kids and they loved it, the burger, fries and service was awesome. The deserts are homemade, my favorite is the pumpkin pie. The owner was very friendly, he was the most happiest person I met in Bridgeport, I would be to if I had the best restaurant/bar in town. He walked around the whole time making sure everything was good. The scenery was cool. I will be back next I’m up there.
Great place to stop to have lunch. Affordable prices on food and very tasty fish and chips. I’m not sure about the night life here but the staff are friendly and they have a wide selection of beer and drinks on tap.
Was traveling from Yosemite towards Lake Tahoe and have a stop over in Bridgeport. Was a great experience at Rhino’s - bar owner, staff and locals are all super friendly. Food was great and beer was cold. A lot of great stories about the town and life in general. Cheers, Gedi
When in Bridgeport...stop in here, and you'll find the best service, fair prices, killer portions, and many locals visiting and smiling over their meals. Pool tournaments among the locals, laughter, great tunes, and the staff has an incredible work ethic that will bring back memories of your mom's kitchen...and just a home-town feel, while ya travel back to a simple time and place. I always stop in here when I'm in town, and you should too! Just steps from the symbolic Mono County Courthouse and you've arrived.
Everything on their menu was great. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The French fries are killer, and I highly recommend the pizza and crispy chicken sandwich.
Stopped in Bridgeport at Rhino's for lunch on the way to Lake Tahoe. The food and service were excellent. A great selection of food on the menu. Sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, etc. We will definitely stop here again. Check it out.
Very lively pub with proper atmosphere! Loved it

Food is good and service is friendly
This restaurant is a treat to visit while I am camping and fishing the region. I enjoy the Rhino burger as it is freshly made and well constructed with an onion ring and spicy sauce. The fries are piping hot and crispy.
first of all........ AMAZING This place has delicious food!!!!! The service is incredible. I %100 recommend this restaurant. You can tell that they put lots of love in their food. If you are wondering what places to go with your family when you visit Bridgeport definitely go here!! This place is super family friendly. They have food that all kids love. They always play the top sports on TV so you and your family can watch TV. Every one there is super friendly and nice. I get super excited every time we get to go there and can't wait to go again!!!
Who needs Michelin Stars when you can play WAP on the jukebox. I was passing through and decided to grab a meal at Rhinos. The bar/restaurant has a small town charm with all inclusive vibe. I saw bikers, I saw grannies, I saw biker grannies. You can wet your whistle and fill your tummy. Steve, the owner is a bit of a local celebrity and good company if you catch him. Can’t wait to stop there again on my way down the 395!
This is a nice, homey bar and grill and it suits Bridgeport. The food is good with large portions. The Fried Shrimp with fries was huge, suitable to share. If you like pool, they have several pool tables.
We had a great time. The two guys really tried to make us happy. Worked very hard, so cute. Food is good, wings were delicious, hamburger had everything, great! The service was fast.
Came here to watch a horse race on TV and it was cool to watch the waitress win on the horse she picked! Food, Service and Atmosphere was great!!! I would definitely visit here again!
Get a burger every time I roll through town and it is so good, especially after a long day in the mountains. Also the waitress is nice.
Small town bar and grill with amazing burgers and great service. We had the mushroom burgers and they were the best I ever had and I eat a lot of burgers. 🤣
We stopped just before entering Yosemite and had a GREAT lunch! The mushroom swiss burger was delicious and the zucchini sticks were even better. Our service was fantastic and the place is clean.
Great food and service! It is a bar so the music is loud and there is a lot going on, too much for my mom, but I enjoyed it very much.
Best place ever! Not only the food and drinks are great but the staff including the owner are absolute sweethearts! Would certainly come again. Highly recommended
Very good hamburgers and fries. Employee's were very efficient and friendly. I will definitely be coming back.
Best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had! Got mine with xtra cheese. Puts California Pizza Kitchen to shame. Friendly staff, sense of community. Excellent prices. Owner is usually around and very polite. You wouldn’t be able to tell him from a regular patron. Been coming in year for 3 years now. Thanks Rhinos! Matt specifically 🙂🙏
Yummmmy!!! We stopped here on our way through and were blown away. We ordered ribeye and fried shrimp with salads. Dressings for salad were delicious. Cocktail sauce for shrimp..... Next level. Steak and potato were equally outstanding. Leslie was our server and you won't find anyone better to get the job done. We shared a few great stories about things in common and she offered helpful advice about things locally.. can't say enough about this place. Thank you, Leslie! You are a rockstar. 😍
Perfect bar food with a good selection of food and drinks. Loved the atmosphere and the service was top notch
Tasty fresh sandwiches, good service and fun atmosphere
Great service, kids meals are good quality and our kids finished them quickly. Authentic decor and relaxed atmosphere. Would come here again if I wasn't just passing through. The chilli is yum get a cup of it to dip your fries in.
Overdue review...This place truly has good food, but I want to also share that they are very good, honest people. I was on a road trip, very tired from hours of driving. We had camped the night before in Tahoe area, and I didn't get great sleep. While eating here, I left my purse on the seat. I realized this at a rest stop, when I could not locate my purse. I looked everywhere, realizing I must have left it at the restaurant. Called the restaurant, yep they had it! They mailed it to me. Not only that, but I told the employee I had $100 in a hidden place, and to please take that to pay shipping and keep the rest. I received my purse, with everything in it...IDs, credit cards, passport card.....including the $100. Honest, good people who work in and own this restaurant. So....if you are on the fence between several choices, I would say without a doubt to choose this place. This world has a lot of bad in it, so it is so relieving to see instances of kindness and honesty by strangers.
Went there a few days ago. 1) They have free Tesla Charger for customers. (just one, but that area is hard to find Tesla charger, so it is very good). 2) Employees are super friendly and nice. 3) Food is pretty good, from lunch time sandwich to dinner. 4) Decor is cute, like mid-west style bar 5) Has pool table 6) A few large TV for watching sport games.
Very tasty food. Very loud place with music blasting Most of the time. I personally liked it, but it probably isn't to everyone's taste. Most alternatives in the area aren't much cheaper, but at least here you'll get some good value out of your money. Good mix between tourists and locals and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. The big pizza pies are enormous.
Leslie is wonderful! So helpful. Because of parking, we chose to take our food back to our room. She walked our food out to us even though the place was packed. She visited with us. We will definitely be going back. The French Dip was the best! Meat was tender and flavorful. The grilled turkey sandwich was delicious. Photos of menu are not complete.. There's more available. You need to stop here to eat!!
We've been coming here since 2017, coming up here for our annual camping trips, always incredible food, drinks, and the staff are the absolute best.
Very tasty place- and cool way to leave dollar bill memories on the walls
I have always loved this place. My fourth time here. Everything was good except for the fact that they told that they will have the bar open as long as folks would be in. We were wanting to stay a little beyond 12 / midnight and they decided to close. Bummer for me for this visit but otherwise I have always LOVED this place.
Diego's an awesome bartender and an attentive person. There is a limited menu which is just pizza, chili and hot dogs for the winter. So if you're looking for a regular menu, you'll need to find that somewhere else. Other than that, it's a great place to have pizza and beer for the winter
Stopped by in our trek from Tahoe to Yosemite. The staff were friendly and quick to serve us. The pizza is down right great. Definitely worth checking out if you're passing through Bridgeport, CA. We were hesitant due to other reviews, but tried it anyway. Those reviews have been easily put to rest in my book.
Love this place. Owner is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Free Tesla charging while you drink ice cold Coors banquets (or not).
Great food, great price! Appetizers were delicious. Got wings and a cheeseburger, both were amazing. All of the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Solid place for a quick stop, family friendly.
Our favorite place when rolling through Bridgeport. Thanks guys for years of great food and service and hopefully many many more years to come. Cheers.
The chicken wings are large and "tough" hard to eat! and their house recipe sauce on the chicken wings.. I did not care for it, too sweet but it was a bargain in price. price 20 wings for $10.99 Had a blue cheese hamburger for $11.99 that was 3"× 3" tiny thing!!! comes with batter fries that taste like Burger King. Now here's the deal draft beer Pabst Blue Ribbon $2 a mug can't go wrong there and we had a small 3 topping pizza cost us $13 bucks and it was pretty delicious. The manager and his wife are awesome people and they had their son working tonight and he was a great waiter
We went as a family with kids and they were great. Good food, fair prices, super fast service.
Popped in on our birthday road trip. Bartender/owner was awesome. Loved the atmosphere, great drinks. Definitely recommend stopping here!!
What a great bar. Some would say the service is a little slow but it was nice to sit and talk and not be rushed. The beer is cold, the food is good, the atmosphere is great. Patrons and staff are all friendly and welcoming. I hope to have the opportunity to go here again someday.
The staff were really cool with us and present even though they were serving a full-house. The food was great and they were even quick to switch my fries to sweet potato fries when I forgot to order them that way and they made a fresh batch for me. They went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my meal and I did. Will be returning here if I'm ever in town 💜
This place was incredible after a long day hiking. Service was outstanding along with the food. We sat at the bar and got pizza and a salad. Diverse atmosphere: think family-friendly dive bar! And I can’t forget the ranch — 11 out of 10.
Surprisingly nice stop for lunch on summer road trip from Tahoe to Mammoth. I had “Original Brewster”, sourdough bread with deli sliced turkey, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, crispy bacon, and straight from the can green chilies, grilled hot and toasty. Delicious! Comes with fries, and they were hot and crispy. $18 in 2025. Partner had a BLT and it was crispy, fresh and tasty. Also with generous helping of fries. $18 in 2025. We sat at the bar, and the service was fast and friendly.
Brilliant grill & bar, great decor, good food, nice vibe. I'd love to swing by during a busier day as it has all the ingredients for a superb hang.
We were in the area showing our children some of the old mining history when we drove through Bridgeport and the kids needed a restroom. We tried a few places that did not have restrooms so out of desperation we entered Rhino’s. I wasn’t sure what kind of lawless roadhouse this was going to be. Well, it IS a roadhouse but the restrooms were clean, the staff was super nice, they seem to have great enthusiasm for military and first responders which is a terrific character indicator so we decided to sit down and eat. The food was top notch and the place didn’t need Pat Swayze hanging out making sure folks behave. They have a kid’s menu and they loved the food. My wife had a burger which she loved and I had the fish & chips which are rarely done right but Rhino’s makes an excellent batch of fish & chips that I highly recommend. Plus they have their own handmade tarter sauce which was great. If you are in the area you won’t regret paying Rhinos a visit. Great place, great food, and great people.
This is a great place. They have great service. Great selection of food and drinks. Come put your name on a dollar bill for the walls. You won't be disappointed.

Ok so you dont have a lot of options in the middle of nowhere...so we weren't anticipating the good food, friendly atmosphere and quick service that we recieved. The place is definately a pub/bar but it had some local history and lots of oddities to catch your eye. We played a few games of pool while we were there so the kids could get involved and off their phones. Good to great place to pull off and eat.
This is a bar and grill. Two TVs, to pool tables bar seating as well as many tables and booths. I had a turkey BLT with french fries and a nice pilsner bottle of beer. My server was friendly, the food came quickly and the tab was reasonable. I recommend this place when you find yourself in Bridgeport California.
Very Friendly Dive Bar Atmosphere. Burgers are huge, tasty, and gone too quick. We also had hot wings (great deal on 20) + some nitro sauce. Good mix of local and travelers in the place. My 20 y.o. said it was "a classic".
Sports bar vibes in nice local spot. Food is not bad. Scattering of typical bar food options. A bunch of TV's. Seems to fill up on game night
Me and my partner ordered Burgers and honestly they where good above average one of the only restaurants open late when we got to our lodgel. They also cook the buns which if you know not many do. Only down side is $45 for two burgers and fries and soda but it's justified I suppose for it's very isolated location.
In town for work and this bar stayed open after the power to the whole town went out for a few hours, couldn't recommend more!...great place!
Food is decent, prices are a bit high, but nothing you wouldn’t expect being close to a busy tourist area. One of the only restaurants in town and it’s decent. A good place to hang out after a long day outdoors.
Nearly always open in a town that has some great food options, but odd hours because it's such a small town. Always busy, and staff are always friendly even when packed. Pool tables and overall nice vibe. We liked the pizza!
Food was good and it's a fun bar atmosphere but the food was really expensive. $20 for a small pizza.
We had the best waiter, he was super friendly and had a great sense of humor which helped on our stressful trip. The food was tasty and the seating was comfortable, I have a bad back and found that the booths were very nice
Rhinos is definitely one of two solid places to eat in Bridgeport. You can’t go wrong with anything here except the onion rings. Definitely recommend their burgers, pizza and French dip with pepper jack.
Great dive bar. Bartender was very friendly and informative. Gave us a different route back to Reno and glad we took it. The French dip and fries were good and flavorful, also had jalapeño poppers. Glad we stopped!

The pizza was alright, not good, and not bad. It had a lot of cheese; so if you like extra cheese you may enjoy it more than I did. The sauce wasn't super flavorful. The crust was good and cooked well. I wish the pepperonis had more of a crisp on them. The app said 15 minutes, and it was not ready for about 30 min after the app said. I think that is more a fault of the app than the restaurant. I think if I stop by again, I will try a burger instead of the pizza and hopefully have better things to say. It seemed like a very cool place inside, but we did get take out. The bartender was great.
I had the Cobb salad and a cup of vegetable soup. Sliced processed ham and turkey on the salad. Not much thoughts into it. The soup was tasty but under seasoned. Full bar with a few tv’s for sports. Underwhelming experience to say the least. They do have plenty of other options for dinner in the menu. Expensive for what you get so not a great value. Correction. I had the Chef salad not the Cobb.

It was closer to 3.5 Stars... The food was delivered very fast. The food was adequate, the server was adequate in her interactions, the atmosphere was adequate. There was a unique ambiance in that the restaurant was covered in $1 bills with personal notes from the people that posted them. It was good for what it was. If I went through the town, I would eat there again.
Been here a few times. Never had issues until tonight. I’m a truck driver. Come through here weekly. Layover here about once a month. Sat at the bar. Steve was working the bar. Ignored me for a solid 25 minutes. I tried waving him down. Called out to get a menu. Finally got it. Waited another 10-15 minutes to place my order. Being ignored again. Placed my order. Got my food. Delicious food. Get the same thing every time. Rhino burger. Came time to pay. I asked for the check 4 TIMES. It’s a Monday night. Bar is slow. Tables empty. Is quiet. Steve is serving everyone at the bar except me. By the 3 time I asked for the check he acknowledged me finally by asking if I was done with my food. I said “yes. Can I get the check as well”. He WALKS AWAY. I’m sitting practically right in front of the register. I waited for 25 MORE MINUTES and 4 requests for a check before I finally got my check. If it was busy and loud and bustling I would have understood. But it was dead inside. Everyone has their drinks and is watching the game quietly. Other people’s tabs have been closed upon request but I’m sitting there contemplating just walking out because I AM TRYING TO PAY but getting ignored. I left a $2 cash tip on a $31.24 meal for the extra BBQ sauce. Mind you I love this bar and grill. Great food. Never had a bad time here. If I stay in Bridgeport this is where I eat. But Steve…learn to pay attention to your customers man. I know I’m not a local patron here. But if you would have kept me waiting any longer then I would have left a $5 bill and walked out because getting paid for the meal and service clearly isn’t important to you.

The place looks happening in the small town of Bridgeport. Looking at how crowded it can get in evening, it seems to be good. But I had a bad experience with their veggie pizza. It looked nice and crisp but it was also pretty much tasteless without any salt or spices. Never had such a bland pizza anywhere else.
Food was bad salad had cucumbers that were rotten lettuce was old steak we had tasted like it was frozen then put in micro to cook just was not good and paid high price. Just not right maybe just a bad night cook was drunk. Because I eat there before and food was not bad.
I typically am a 5 star reviewer, but we had a horrible experience here. Been here a few times & each time has been a very different experience, very inconsistent. We were spending a nice weekend & excited to eat here. The food is decent, pricey, but the service was awful. We had 6 people walk in after us & got served before us. We sat for 45 min without drinks, when a different waiters tables were on 2-3 rounds of drinks. We were nice & patient for very long & our server was still so rude, even with us just asking for drinks. We sadly won’t be back.
Nice place as far as service and atmosphere, but the food wasn’t very good. Burger had no flavor and fries weren’t cooked all the way
Very disappointed. Ordered The Original Brewster sandwich. Sounded very good but was just eadible if you're hungry. Had 2 or 3 very thin slices of deli turkey (menu said sliced turkey breast). At most 1/8 inch thick in total. Could not taste the grilled onion as there was very little and barely grilled. Could not taste the green chili at all. Couldn't really tell if there was any sauce on the sandwich. Sour dough bread seemed more like white bread. What really got me, it was $19.00 and the 1/2 lb mushroom and swiss burger I almost got was $18.00.
Burgers are truly awful, very dry and overcooked, sauces are disgusting, very vinegary, acidic. Soups are loaded with sodium, canned or deli chicken. The food is one star. Please step up your game.
We were really disappointed! I came here a few years ago and got great food and service. This past Monday I brought my students here at the end of our field trip to Bodie. We had a four hour drive ahead of us and they were exhausted and hungry. The waiter who looked barely 20 walked out from the back and took one look at us like he really hated his job. I asked if he could put the orders on separate tickets and he refused. Not all my students carry cash, and some were covering their siblings or classmates. After I asked him if he was willing to make an exception he still said no. We had no choice but to leave. There were 16 of us, I don't know what manager in their right mind would be willing to lose that kind of money (Not to mention all the desserts my teenagers ordered after and potential tips). Fortunately my students enjoyed spending their money and eating at the Jolly Kone.
Entered starving, a family of 5, were told to get anywhere we want. Sitted somewhere in a free table, had to bring a missing chair by ourselves, liked the place, the music and the atmosphere so much!!! but got completely ignored for 20 minutes, not even menues were served. Tried reaching out anybody - felt like dead. Left the place absolutely disappointed.
We attempted to dine in on the Friday before the trout closer weekend and were told to choose any available table upon arrival. While that was fine, after waiting 15 minutes without a server coming to take our order, we decided to leave and try another restaurant. We hope our experience wasn’t influenced by the fact that we were the only minorities there, but it certainly felt that way.
I went there with my boyfriend and we waited more than 30 minutes just to have someone asking for our order. We asked for a pizza but apparently they was running out of dough. We finally choose a burger and some garlic fries. It was the worst garlic fries I ever had. I only ate this and I woke up at the middle of the night because I was terrible sick 🤢… I do not recommend this place at all. I paid $10 for a beer that was not even a pint size. This is not acceptable.
Attempted to dine in on the Friday preceding the trout opener weekend. Upon arrival, we were instructed to choose any available seating. However, after being informed that the beer selection was only available at the bar, necessitating us to get up and inspect, and waiting for 20 minutes without a server attending to take our order, we opted to depart and patronize another establishment.
Food was not warm enough and came way quicker than the drinks. The poor waiter was friendly and did everything he could, but couldn't manage all by himself. The "bowl" of Chili was good, but I'm going home hungry, as the portion was not enough.
**Edit** You can see from the owner's response the quality of character at Rhino's. Grossly overpriced! Vegetarian burger costs $15 for a miniscule and flavorless patty teased with a teaspoon of thousand island dressing. French fries are equally bland. Better to go hungry than waste your money on this food that leaves you feeling hangrier.
