First time in Bridgeport on business. Best catfish I ever had. Great atmosphere and great service!! PJ, my waiter was even great!!

This incredible gem is a must experience! Walk in and flash back to the 1950’s and beyond. The walls are covered with records, posters, signs, and memories from the ol’ era. Play around with their real jukebox, watch your favorite childhood classics on a black/white tube TV, listen to BuddyHolly, and pose for pictures with Elvis on stage. The food is just as wonderful as the scenery. Fair prices and big portions. The kids will love the timberfloat and the apple pie is a MUST!

I took my kids to their annual trunk or treat event which hosted classic cars and rat rods. We enjoyed the evening by touring the show cars and collecting candy. The owner is very friendly! After the car show trunk or treat event we walked into the 50s style diner where there is memorabilia everywhere!! The walls have murals painted on them and classic signs as well as the Nehi drink bottles lining the wall and a little train track hanging from above! The waitresses are dressed up in poodle skirts which really takes you back! I love the family friendly atmosphere and the menu is good ol' southern style comfort cooking. Their chicken fried steak is amazing and I can't get enough of the fried chicken salad! My kids enjoyed fries with melted cheese and bacon inside a skillet (forgive me I forgot the name of that dish). We will be back over and over again!!! Thanks for always filling us up with amazing food and great memories!

Great place! We tried the mozzarella sticks, cheeseburgers with fries, chicken fried steak, and chili dogs. All were delicious! We also tried the apple pie. So good! Highly recommend this gem!!

Wait time was roughly 20 minutes since we just arrived after the church rush, but overall very excellent food and it went very well with the atmosphere. It also had a very creative menu due to the fact I had never seen whipped cream and chocolate Blue Bell put on a burger before. Not too terribly pricey either, so I'll definitely be back.

Hillary was our server for lunch. She was one of the best servers we have ever had. Hillary was attentive, helpful and conscientious. The food was excellent, especially the dessert. We will definitely return.

We came up from Ft.Worth to see the snow and needed a place to eat. We loved this diner. My kids were quiet the whole time we ate just checking everything out on the walls. Lots of things to take pictures with including the dino out front. We got burgers and they were delish! Will definitely stop by here again when in town.

This place is VERY cool. Nostalgic decor is over the top, complete with a Marilyn Monroe statue with her dress blowing up in realistic fashion. The food was fantastic. I had the Ruben sandwich served with the biggest side of house battered Onion Rings I've ever seen. (No Joke...Amazing) My buddy had the Classic Cheese Burger w/ fries. He said his burger was "a really good bruger". With the amount of food given, neither of us could finish our meals. The dessert menu looked fantastic, unfortunately we were too full to find out how good it was. Based on our dining experience, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't disappoint...

The service and atmosphere deserve more than 5 stars! Our waitress Virginia was A-MAZ-ING! LITERALLY MY FAVORITE SEVER OF ALL TIME. The food is delicious (I didn't eat this particular time, just a hot cocoa, but I have eaten here in the past) and man oh man, you gotta try the pine float 😉🙌 overall 10 out of 10!

This is the funniest restaurant! Had a birthday party for our Uncle (88) Saturday. With the decor from the 50's had a great time looking at everything. Everyone enjoyed the large serving of food. This place has great burgers at good prices! This isn't your typical pre-formed frozen patty. This is a real hamburger made from fresh ingredients! The meat is hot and juicy and the vegetables are fresh and crisp. I highly recommend it. The only reason for 4 stars, was the Catfish that is not US farm raised. It was, eh.... But won't deter me from returning for a delicious burger and fries!

Date night. Went to Yesterday's 50's Diner in Bridgeport TX. This place is great. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Oldies music was playing and decorations were awesome. So much I didn't get to take pictures of. If you go you need to get their FREE desert!!! You will LOVE it! I had the chopped steak and hubby had an opened face roast beef plate. And we shared fried mushrooms which are huge. I had to have the ROOT BEET FLOAT!!

We stopped in for lunch after coming from DFW headed west toward the home twenty. We both had patty melts and fries which were great! I love this place so much! I don’t get to eat here often, but when I do I always get their “Some Like It Hot” tenders and rolls. I usually get three rolls so I can stuff them with the chicken and dip them in ranch. The chicken is so tender it literally falls apart in your mouth. Definitely the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had!

We love yesterday‘s restaurant. It has a 50s theme. The wait staff is amazing and the food is real good and you can’t beat their prices Our favorites are the Superman burger, nachos, and catfish. For dessert they have apple pie and pecan pie served in a hot skillet with Blue Bell on top. They have homemade shakes, banana split and other desserts.

A really awesome place to eat. A refreshing atmosphere! The interior is decorated 100% to 1950's and 1960's TV shows an Movies. The food and service is fabulous with a lot of "unique" menu items to choose from. If you are in the area, Yesterday's is well worth the visit.

I had a Cobb Salad. It was outstanding. Fixins' to lettuce ratio was perfect. Usually, restaurants put tons of lettuce and bad lettuce at that. The flavor was great as well. The salad was much prettier before I mixed it all up. Yall check this place out!

This place was awesome. Visiting for the weekend and came along this awesome place. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. I had a bacon burger and fries and it was delicious. We got the small sundae in a shot glass. It was very good and the shot glass was a cool souvenir. The decor was also really neat.

This is a neat change of pace of the regular places to eat. Yesterday's is a cute throwback to when food was simple but good and had filling size portions! And the dessert - especially the Pecan pie is amazing!!! Where service is nice and friendly. There was a car show there with "Elvis" singing live music in the parking lot (Volunteered their time for the event they were having). It was great! And the cutest couple dancing 🕺 💃 We love this place!

Truly authentic 50's American diner from the decor to the food! Fantastic food! The Tuesday special was"Mom's meatloaf" and it was as good, even better than my Mom's meatloaf! And all the fixins too. The best part was their special apple pie with brandy butter sauce. WOW! And we don't really like apple pie! The root beer float was just like I remember them. This place is worth the drive! Delicious food and great atmosphere. Depending on the day, you can be seated right away or have to wait a bit. It’s popular on Saturdays. The ghost pepper burger is my wife and son’s favorite! I’ve tried a couple of things and nothing has disappointed me yet!

Super cute place but good had no flavor and served not very hot. When I went it was very slow maybe short staffed but the need to add flavor and on food.

All was good but geez there was a lot of oil left on the paper in the basket they served them in. Never received more chips and salsa, even after asking another server that was refilling teas and waters. They seemed short staffed, so tried to stay positive. Waited about 30 minutes for dinner. Got our food, cobb salad-good & large, chicken&beef fajitas-really good flavor and plenty, chopped steak w/sauteed onions&mushrooms/gravy/mashed potatoes/green beans-all good flavor, Philly cheesesteak&fries-good flavor, they didn't serve tarter sauce with mom's catfish. Get server's attention after 5 minutes then wait between 5-10 minutes for the sauce. She was kind enough to bring mom another piece of catfish shortly after that. Catfish wasn't bad but not great. Kind of soggy. Ladies bathroom was clean just one stall was out of toilet paper. The atmosphere is fun but unfortunately the staffing shortage affected some things. Not a complete disappointment. Willing to go back for lunch sometime, but not for the catfish.

This place looks like a true 50s diner. You can't beat the atmosphere. The food was delicious but what you would expect at a diner, although they did have filet mignon which was surprising. We had the deep fried mushrooms, the classic burger basket and the GIANT potato, which was actually 2 regular potatoes. Would return just for the cool atmosphere and service.

The fries were cold. The chili burger had beans in the chili. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Loved the malt! Cool nostalgia!

My monkey was attending church camp so we drove 2 hours to drop him off. On the way there, I saw this place and the old time memorabilia caught my eye. A few days later we picked him up and he was out of the movie Nel he was speechless, burnt, and full of bug bites but THAT appetite was still there. We stopped at the restaurant and sure enough this 80s kid went Back to The Future. The servers were dressed in 50s motif and very friendly. You are totally consumed by the posters, black and white TV's, life size statues of Marlyn & Elvis. Monkey aka Nel ordered chicken strips, Mother of mokey Raspberry chicken our little rhino had kids portion chicken strips and my big belly saw the all you can eat catfish so as Betty Boop said boobo bidup CATFISH it is for me. Our server was nice and efficient with providing us with information from the menu. The portions size are awesome and worth the price. The chicken strips were huge not your regular processed size with easy breading. The Raspberry chicken was delicious according to monkeys mom. The catfish had no flavor but with pickled jalapeños and tartar sauce it made it tasty. It was all you could eat and bringing the portions took time (insert the look Lurch gives in the Adams Family) We had room for something sweet so we shared a warm apple pie and brownie Sunday which were scrumptious. The apple pie is made in-house in a warm skillet. We drove back 2 hours satisfied and Nel fell asleep in the car on the way home. If you are in the area and you are looking for good eats and nostalgia in mind Yesterday is for you. The cost $64.74 plus tip

I was curious as to what different things this restaurant had to offer. Upon arrival, you are met with interesting cars that you can easily tell are part of the outside decor of the restaurant. Once you step inside, it's a whole other world, full of amazing 50's memorabilia and giant images and music that take you to another world. For those who are in their elderly ages, this place is a blast from the past, it brings out the youth within you, and you are set aflame once again. The service is friendly here and the food is okay, what mainly stands out, is the music, the service, and all the decorations found within Yesterday's diner.

The mashed potatoes....were the worse I've ever tried in my life.... I am not sure what they are made with but the texture reminded me of water and instant potatoes. They were flavorless too and just disgusting. However, everything else was great! Oh and the sweet tea was great!

This was our first time going . The diner and decor was very neat . We loved the atmosphere . Very family friendly and laid back . The food was very good . Milkshakes are delicious. We ordered burgers . My husband ordered tots with his and they were your basic frozen /fries tater tots . I got onion rings and they were thin sliced homemade . Staff were pretty friendly . The only reason I submitted 3 stars instead of 5 was because there was a long wait time , but I think it was because all the waitresses were serving a large table of guests . They had open tables , but they did not communicate why they weren’t filling tables, so ourselves as well as other guests were piling up at the door even though half the diner was empty , and once they wrote our names down they walked away and kind of avoided others coming inside for long period of time . I did watch two parties of people leave due to being ignored upon entering and waiting , and one waitress was a little rude when a guest asked about the wait time . They seemed a little flustered and disorganized , and at moment tbh. Again , that was our experience there , this may have been a rare occurrence and not a regular thing . We’ve only been once.

Grease, Greasy and Greasier.. Tater tots had a puddle of grease under them. Corn dog was luke warm. Cat Fish was mushy, possibly left to soak in grease. Rueben had a grease film to it. I had to wash my hands before leaving and still felt like I ran a shift in the kitchen on the ride home. Just unreal. Sunday - 10-5-25 Arrived at 1:00 p.m. Left at 2:10 p.m. People were good Food was garbage Environment was interesting.

Went here for dinner and definitely not impressed. The ranch was amazing, but unfortunately the grilled chicken salad was sitting in a bowl of water. My ranch wouldn't stay on the lettuce, the chicken was water logged because of this. 1st time here...last time here. Waitress was nice and restaurant was not busy. Liked the atmosphere just not the food. Our friends love this place though and were surprised to hear about our experience.

I am not sure if this place serves their club sandwiches hot but if they do that should be noted on the menu. We ordered togo and when we got home we noticed the club sandwich which is normally served cold every where in the country was stacked on top of the chicken tenders. I don't feel like the tenders would have heated up the sandwich that much but it's a possibility. There's nothing worse than hot soggy lettuce and tomato and hot slimy American cheese. Just thought I would suggest if you serve the club sandwich hot please not it in the menu. Also don't stack hot and cold food together when bagging.

I've been coming here since I moved here. I loved it early on but lately it's been hit or miss, unfortunately more miss than hit lately. Last night made sure we're not going back. My order was wrong and I ate 1/2 of it anyway because it was late and I didn't have the time to wait for it to be corrected. I notified the waitress. She went and told another waitress what had happened and they laughed. I'm now sick off of what I did eat. They did give 1/2 price off of my meal. So, there's that.

Stopped in due to the name and photo’s found online. The atmosphere did not disappoint! The place is very nostalgic to wander through and look at! But, don’t go for the food. We had the Saturday all you can eat fried catfish. Worst catfish I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. I don’t think they know what seasonings are. We sprinkled on lots of salt and pepper to try and get something to taste edible because we were both starving. The pinto beans tasted like ranch style beans. The coleslaw was just off. I only had one bite and it tasted like it was going bad. The tastiest thing was the hush puppies, which I assume were frozen. Definitely stop in for the cool decor, but just have some ice cream and go somewhere else to eat.

Pretty good but no extra crispy on the hash browns. Slightly busy and took a while to take the order then even longer to get the toast. Kind of ticks me off that the waitress would just assume it's ok to keep my coin change. I know it's just change but it is my change. Just dropped this to one star. Guess it's hard to beat Waffle House heh heh.

I ate here Thursday night & the food was delicious! The mashed potatoes were excellent so I decided to pick up a chicken fried chicken dinner. The mashed potatoes were lumpy & hard, the CFC was so tough I couldn’t eat it. I had a hard time pulling it apart for my dogs!

Our server today was great! However the food is a rip off. My nearly $14 meal (no drink), was smaller in comparison to both my children's kids meals ($6 each, fountain drink included). Plus, in addition to being unjustly expensive, they served my 1 year old borderline raw undercooked chicken. It wasn't visibly pink, but it was borderline undercooked enough that I was not allowing anyone to eat it. As a pregnant woman, I wouldn't feel safe eating it. It was rubbery and very chewy with lots of juice. The breading was barely even golden in color. When I addressed the issue upon paying, the employee said, "I checked it myself and its not pink, it's just fresh." Yet, I was to the point where chicken doesn't sound good at all, the thought makes me sick. So, I left the restaurant sick to my stomach at the thought of raw chicken, yet still hungry, annoyed, and with a big hole in my wallet. We will never eat there again, like ever! 🤢 Pic of one of the first chicken strips (the better, more cooked one) with a chicken strip for the order they cooked to replace the raw one. You can clearly see the difference in breading color and this was compared to the more cooked one of the two that was served to my 1 year old. Side note: Not sure why they only replaced 1 chicken strip, not both, because we didn't eat either of the two since we were grossed out. 🤢

The food has gone down hill and the male manager is so rude to his staff. I’ve literally seen him scream at teenage girls and no one stopped it. I would not support this place. It used to be great, but PJ needs to be gone.

Wow, “Office” could have written our review! Horrible food. Had the catfish, shrimp, fries, pinto beans, corn (between the two of us). Absolutely ZERO flavor. Hint: Seasoning is actually a good thing. They must go through ketchup like crazy. Everything obviously canned, frozen, no flavor whatsoever. We should have tried an appetizer because, if that was awful, we could have left and had dinner somewhere, anywhere, else. Add'l note - Thank you for your response. I do beg to differ as to your vegetables being canned. No doubt the corn I got was dumped straight out of a can with its nasty can water and just heated up and tasted like NO seasoning had been added. I specifically asked the waitress if the green beans were canned and she said - YES - so I didn't order. When I got the corn, I said to her that, obviously, the corn came straight from a can and she said - YES, that all of your vegetables were from cans. Was she not telling the truth? The only decent thing on the plate were the hush puppies. Those were, in fact, quite good.

Food was NOT good. Basic Frozen food reheated and thrown together.. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was so tough I couldn’t even chew it! It was like chewing on a tire. The broccoli is your basic frozen florets from the store then microwaved.. The men’s restroom was gross. Floors were sticky, no paper towels and it smelt awful.. Walls are dirty Music was loud and songs were played on repeat almost mind numbing.. Two compliments: water tastes good And the Gulf sign in the front is cool.
