The Ivy Asia in Brighton features the iconic backlit floors and cherry blossom 🌸 tree. The restaurant is beautifully designed and it’s next to the classic Ivy Brasserie. They have a Samurai set menu for 2 courses at 27.95£ which is a decent offer and while you are here try out their signature cocktails. The food itself although tasty I felt the curry prawn was bit too salty and the beef filet noodles had a lot of cracked pepper in it. However the BBQ duck salad with Japanese Mizune was amazing. It’s bit pricier than the classic Ivy but worth a try. After visiting Ivy Asia in Chelsea I have now upgraded the Brighton to 5 stars because the Chelsea one was disappointing in comparison so keep up the good work Brighton 🚀

Fantastic experience at Ivy Asia Brighton. This restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, good energy, and excellent service. The cocktails are creative, amazing, and beautifully presented. Same with the food and everything looks as good as it tastes. Big thanks to Rueben for his professional, friendly service and for taking such great care of my friend and me throughout the evening. Highly recommend!

First time in The Ivy Asia and loved it. Spent a lot of time in Asia itself and this bought up fun memories, giving a wink to its various cuisines while catering to a British taste and heat tolerance. Elegant and interesting multi-cultural decor, kind and accommodating staff, lovely food, served at exactly the right pace. Great experience. Will come again.

Had the best night at The Ivy Asia Brighton. Black cod miso was unreal. The duck roll ceremony was a full on moment and completely worth it. Espresso martinis were cold - and dangerously good. But honestly, Jess made it. Warm, funny, totally on it. The kind of service that turns dinner into a proper night out. Absolute super star. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful meal at the ivy Asia ,we chose the 3 course set menu with a glass of champagne ,which was delicious, and generous portions. The atmosphere was amazing, you feel you have been transported to a beautiful restaurant in Asia. We were served by Francesco who was very friendly and attentive. Thank you ivy Asia for a truly amazing experience. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, which the lady at reception acknowledged, however it wasn’t recognised again during our visit ,which it has been in previous visits.

Lovely experience from our food to our server, FRANCESCO. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Francesco made our stay a memorable experience and will definitely come back to Ivy Asia Brighton. A credit to his service and compliments to the chef for the wonderful food. 100% highly recommended

We had a lovely three course meal at Ivy Asia on New Year’s Day and were pleasantly surprised to find they had this special offer on, as we had originally booked without knowing about it. The offer was in addition to their standard menu and was excellent value for money three courses with a glass of fizz for £34.95. The restaurant itself is extremely boujee and beautifully styled, with stunning, Instagram worthy decor that really adds to the experience. We chose the vegetarian sushi, the massaman lamb curry, and the doughnuts with mochi for dessert, and thoroughly enjoyed every course. The food was extremely fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Luke, who made our evening extra special. He was super attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. A fantastic experience, great value for money, and a perfect spot if you love good food and gorgeous surroundings.

Going to The Ivy Asia feels like such a special occasion - there are very few locations with such an amazing décor, and the friendly staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is good - some lovely dishes (the curried chickpeas, the cinnamon doughballs and ice cream, the tempura prawns) and a couple that were just ok (the sesame chicken salad was a little dry, for example). It feels special, and that's important. The cocktail selection is also good, and if you can get it at weekday afternoon prices, it's a steal!

It was our first time here and will definitely be back, both food and atmosphere were incredible! Our waitress Lucy-Kate was extremely welcoming and made sure everything was perfect all evening, we’re very grateful for her!

I have visited Ivy Asia, Brighton, several times so I thought it about time I left a review. Every occasion has been a delight, and on my last visit, we opted for the experience menu which was £60 per head. All the dishes were of excellent quality, and I will be choosing that again on my next visit. Food aside, the decor and surroundings always make visiting Ivy Asia a treat, and service is also excellent. My friends and I are members of the trans community, and we are always made to feel extremely welcome, and I wholeheartedly recommend this inclusive establishment.

I recommend this place. The food is so delicious and high quality and the decoration and atmosphere was amazing. I guess is one the best restaurant in Brighton! We had pork belly and Lamb curry both so good . The staff also charming and friendly. We will come back whenever we visit this city

Amazing place, decor, buzz & food - we had the set lunch menu £19.95 and the portions were a good size surprising as we’d expected small - every dish was exceptional other than, sadly, the salt and pepper beef fillet (£4.50 supplement )with ginger noodles contained chilli which wasn’t stated on the menu, making the dish far to spicy to enjoy - this is from someone who eats wasabi!!!

We had a lovely lunch at the Ivy Asia to celebrate a birthday. Not only was the food excellent but the service delivered by the team was the best I've ever experienced. Very friendly, personable, polite, and a pleasure to engage with. The team's warmth and personalities were fantastic, it really was exceptional customer experience. Each member of the team acknowledged the birthday girl and wished her a great day. They also brought her food/drinks out first, and made an extra effort to make the day a special one. To top it off, an unexpected lot candle mini dessert was presented which was just wonderful! The overall experience was just amazing, the decorations and ambience, the presentation of the dishes and cocktails and even the toilets were remarkable! A truly wonderful occasion.

The Ivy Asia is always a favourite of mine, and the Ivy Asia of Brighton, as expected, did not disappoint. Wonderful atmosphere, some of the best Asian food you can find that is extremely tasty with high quality ingredients. The staff, waiters, and everyone in general is very kind and hospitable. Slightly on the expensive side for dining, but in my opinion it’s very much worth it. They are accommodating to allergies and food preferences too! Adore this restaurant and will definitely be returning! I recommend it to others.

Had a lovely lunch here and the food was excellent. The oriental decor is beautiful and the waitress told us that the absolutely stunning green agate floor cost £1m but I'm not sure if that's true!? Loved everything apart from the service charge of over £26 that was added to our bill!

From the moment we walked through the door, every member of staff we encountered was welcoming and friendly. We were shown to our table straight away, despite being early, and we didn’t have to wait too long before our order was taken. And the food… wow, the food was fantastic; the selection, flavours, quality, and quantity (good-sized portions!). When dessert time arrived, a little something extra was delivered to say ‘Happy Birthday’, which was lovely. So, from arrival to departure, with Libby as our main server, the whole experience was amazing. Thank you, The Ivy Asia Brighton.

We visited to celebrate our anniversary and had the most wonderful evening. Everything was perfect from start to finish, but what truly made it special was the service we received from Duncan. He went above and beyond to make us feel looked after, and his attention to detail and kindness gave us more than just a meal — he gave us a memory we’ll treasure. Thank you, Duncan, for making our anniversary unforgettable!

Loved every minute from walking in through the door, magical decor, great choices of Asian foods, staff in attendance throughout, efficient and friendly. Delicious flavoursome dishes to eat at ease, noise levels low ( important to me) and an unexpected birthday dessert gift.. a big thank you to all the staff 🥰

I've been to The Ivy previously but wasn't too impressed. My wife and I decided to give The Ivy Asia a try, and it was miles better. The venue and decor are stunning. Beautifully laid out with lovely art pieces. Great service, the waitresses were really friendly and helpful. We went for the Experience menu with an additional Thai green chicken curry and mocktails, which were really nice. The food was served quickly, nicely presented, and tasted amazing. Especially the chickpea curry. The Experience menu also comes with a dessert of cinnamon doughnuts with chocolate sauce and ice cream, which again tasted lovely. Potions sizes are good, and by the end, we were both stuffed. As we attended quite late at night and we were one of the only few left in the restaurant, it was nice to sit and relax and marvel at the beautiful decor inside. The cost is quite expensive but for the whole experience, it's worth the money. I would definitely recommend it, especially for special occasions.

What a magical place! This has got to be one of the most memorable eating establishments we visited during our 5 day stay at Brighton. The menu is surprisingly varied, with something for everyone. The quality is excellent and everything is presented beautifully. The service is top tier and the decor is very Brighton, with an Art Deco twist. Half of our party was of the opinion that this is the number 1 fine dining experience in Brighton. You might too!

Superb food, atmosphere and service. Menu seems to cater for everyone. There are some great vegetarian/vegan picks too which include roasted aubergine miso, asparagus maki, kimchi kakiage, chickpea curry, tofu dishes, and those are just scratching at the surface. Highly recommended

Had a wonderful experience at Ivy Asia, Jamie made us feel special & was a mind reader for any needs. My kids & I loved the dry ice magic of their mains! The presentation was as spectacular as the taste. We will come again and I can’t recommend enough, beautiful surroundings, great service, great food.

I visited the Ivy Asia in Brighton today and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was truly delicious, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. What really elevated the visit, however, was the exceptional service from the staff and the General Manager. She was vivacious, supportive and highly professional, and her presence set the tone for the entire restaurant. They all ensured everything ran smoothly and that every guest received a genuine five-star experience. It is rare to encounter such strong leadership on the floor, that reflects in all of the team working within the service and it made the visit feel both relaxed and special. I would highly recommend Ivy Asia to anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding service and an all-round memorable dining experience. I will certainly be returning.

My husband and I had a lovely meal, choosing from the set menu. The decor is amazing! Just beautiful. The ladies toilets were so nice I took photos. The service was immaculate and our waiter Francesco was polite and attentive. We will definitely be back to the Ivy Asia.

13 of us had the most wonderful night last night, seated in the private dining room and looked after by the wonderful Jess - nothing was too much trouble and she made the night extra special. The food was delicious, everything within the extensive banquet was served hot, beautifully presented and sooooo tasty. With various dishes appearing throughout the evening allowing us to graze, it gave us the long drawn out dining experience we hoped for. From sashimi to noodles, prawns, beef, duck and curry with some truly gorgeous desserts - those doughnuts 💖 it was all magnificent. Cocktails were lovely and glasses replinishrd quickly - it was an exceptional visit and we will return again soon. One tiny critique, we miss the Thai green curry cocktail - please bring it back! 🥺

This was our first visit to Ivy Asia. The arrival was dealt with smoothly by Kira and despite arriving 10 minutes early, we were shown straight to our table. Our server was Luke who dealt with our orders and choice of wine, very impressively. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food, decor and general atmosphere. We never felt rushed at any point, unlike some other establishments. I would recommend this to friends as a high-end dining experience. Forget the cost, enjoy the food, service and decor. Thank-you Luke & Kira!

My partner and I went for my birthday, and we had a lovely time! It was quite crowded as it was a Saturday night, but we were efficiently seated and service was quick and polite. Food was delicious as well, we ordered the California roll, wagyu beef and chicken. The wagyu was incredible, melted in my mouth! Unfortunately, we were slightly rushed as we were asked to leave due to the table being booked after us. Our server Jess was great though, and offered us seating at the sushi bar and some complimentary dessert to make up for having to rush us! Dessert was great too, crême brulee and samurai were well presented and delicious! Francesco served us our dessert and he was great as well! Would definitely recommend this place for any special occasions!!

It was busy today being half term. Obviously, having staffing problems means they were trying to accommodate people with fewer staff to share the load. Nobody’s fault and they shouldn’t suffer poor reviews for facts of life. We loved our lunch. The food was excellent (as always) and Francesco worked like a Trojan to make sure that our food arrived and it was satisfactory. He was brilliant.

B

My first time here and I must say, the interior's quite fancy and really does give the atmosphere a rather premium feel. The food on the other hand feels a bit more like a standard affair and this is reflected in the price which was quite fair in my humble opinion. Definitely a place to take one's date to, it really is quite spectacular inside. FYI the service was quite good considering how busy they were.

An amazing food experience. We were sharing multiple dishes between a few people and could not be happier. Everything tasted truly amazing. Our waiter was an absolute sweetheart. Unfortunately the waiting times for the food were little too long. But overall great. Would come back anytime.

First the bad The desserts were eye candy. But lacked any kind of taste enjoyment. The sides were overpriced for what they were. The server made some errors. Now the Meh The pork belly squares were OK, not inspiring. Personally I prefer my pork belly crispy on one side, not on 6 sides. As with all Ivy restaurants you are a little too close to the next table. The restrooms, whilst clean and well presented are not only deep downstairs, they are shared with the Ivy next door, making them busy. The Kimchi and pork dumplings whilst pleasant had little evidence of Kimchi when it came to taste. Lastly the good The Miso Cod was worth the £31. A dish one will find hard to forget. The house wines are to be recommended, as is the wine list. The salmon sashimi was beautifully presented and prepared. The decor is amazing.and the whole place has a positive vibe. Tip One.got the distinct impression that you were going to have the less preferred seating unless you spoke up. The exchange of glances between the three receptionist girls reinforced this. The not speaking up and being shoved in the corner is true of most Ivy restaurants, not the usual experience for us. Would I go.again? No. For two starters, mains and desserts plus 3 glasses of medium priced red the bill came to just shy of £200. The cod (who knew cod could taste so good) and the decor were great, if the rest lived up to that standard I would go back. If £200 means nothing to you, then it's an interesting experience. But if your into haute cuisine this is more Disney than serious dining.

The restaurant is completely beautiful! We ate of their week day set menu, price was reasonable! Our starters and desert was lovely! My only complaint would be for the main, I had the duck rice bowl, I thought it was a little greasy and not nearly enough duck but otherwise was lovely, drinks were nice, service was good, worth a visit just for the atmosphere…

M
Mat Sunderland (Sunders ont road)

I have to say this was a very disappointing experience for a relatively high value meal. So the positive is the place looks amazing. The floor is remarkable and the decor what a 1980's Rock band would view as Japanese art. No subtlety all colour. A bit like the food. It was nice to have a, somewhat confusing mix, of live violin and dance music and the place was clean and really well done. Then the welcome. There were 3 staff on the desk, one using a computer. None of them said hello. It took a 4th member of staff to arrive before anyone asked if we had a booking and this pretty much set the tone for a very average if not below average experience. We had booked and pointed out we had a gluten allergy, if that is you then don't bother with this restaurant. We then had three staff tell us that we had to use the qr code to look at allergens. All good. That was not the problem there was nothing much on there. Including Sashimi. So we wanted to know if they could serve the sashimi without the sauce. NO was the answer. The food was sacrosanct and therefore no changes to any meal were allowed. Then it was explained to us that Asian food was a blend of flavours and sauces and difficult to classify and remove allergans. Now this is true. However having being talked down to three times I felt I got it. I did not want to explain I had been to Japan, Thailand and countless asian restaurants in many countries and had issues, but resolved. Makes me feel the food was pre prepared to an extreme. Backed up by the stale popadoms and the fact the recipies could not be adjusted. Then there was the fact there were so many staff it was hard to negotiate the restaurant, they were falling over themselves to not serve. The wonderful removal of your bottle of wine so that it was not cluttering the table is a good thing in a well run restaurant but if you have to continually get someones attention to get a refil not so god. I have run out os space so cannot vent further. Never Again.

A
Arek

Amazing interiors and really good service (one small order mix up). Space wise tables for 2 squeezed so close to each others that you almost elbow guests sitting next to you and need to squeeze between tables to sit down. Not really something you expect from fine dining restaurant. Food wise unfortunately it was just average compared to other Asian cusine restaurants you can go to in Brighton. Just bland flavour dishes, maybe chef had bad day?

C
Charlie D

The food was absolutely sensational and came out quickly despite being busy. Huge credit to the kitchen. We had a table booked for 7.30pm, we weren’t able to sit down until 8.10pm. No complimentary beverage or compensation towards the bill offered for this. Needed to remind about drinks twice, and a couple of dishes. Sloppy, considering the level of service we received at The Ivy in Covent Garden. The decor and atmosphere is excellent. Live DJ is as great, set a cool vibe and the clientele all a sensible volume.
