Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Eastbourne

Had a nice time here. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary lunch here. It was our first time at Bills! Love the atmosphere. Fish pie is really good! Had caramel tart for pudding it was really nice! We forgot the name of our server, he's a guy with short curly hair. All in all experience is nice! Had service charge though which should be okay with the service you get! 👍👍👍

My friends and I had a great time! The Burgers we ordered were great, and the desert was amazing as well! A special shout out to our lovely waitress Molly who was so attentive and friendly all the way through our visit and was so patient with us when our Blue Light Card played up at first when we wanted to pay. She is a real asset to Bills!

We were served lunch by the lovely Olivia, she couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Food ( lots of vegan options! ) was delicious, the portions were so big I needed a doggy bag! And very stylish it was too! :)

Came in for a staff party dinner. Set menu, I personally had steak with the prawn cocktail. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and would highly recommend. Our server was Molly but we were seated by and initially looked after by Mitch, who i have to say was exemplary in his service. And plaudits to the chef. I think his name was Patricio. Excellent food

Came in for breakfast as had relation over from Holland and heard great reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Matilda looked after service, order and had a valuable wealth of knowledge of the menu. She is to be commended for having a positive, encouraging and happy attitude, which is very welcoming! We ordered the Shakshuka, tea, coffee, juice, granola with berries, a portion of eggs with bacon and the signaturd cheesy hash browns. . Very well presented, large portions with plenty of flavour. Other staff assisted with service and the Team made a very enjoyable experience. We havr now booked to return with a larger group tomorrow, well done all 😀

I had the most wonderful dining experience at Bills! From start to finish, everything was incredible. The food was beautifully presented and the taste was even better. A huge part of what made the meal so enjoyable was our waitress, Ellie. She was absolutely amazing — attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and so knowledgeable about the menu. She made us feel really welcome and added such a warm, personal touch to the whole experience. Between the outstanding food and the fantastic service, I can’t recommend Bills highly enough. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I recently visited Bill’s in Eastbourne with my husband, my little brother and his girlfriend, and we had a brilliant experience. Our waitress was really sweet and made us feel so welcome throughout the meal. ​For my drink, I ordered the Elderflower & Rose tea because it looked a bit different and I fancied a change. I am so glad I did—it was delicious! For the main, I ordered a medium burger which was cooked to perfection. A special shout-out to the chips, too; they arrived in a tin wrapped in paper, which kept them piping hot all the way to the bottom. The schnitzel was also a big hit with our group. ​As someone with a milk intolerance, I was so impressed by how fastidious the staff were. They were incredibly careful about checking allergies, which made me feel very safe. I had the vegan chocolate pudding for dessert, and it was so good that if I hadn't been so full, I would have ordered another! ​My husband used his Blue Light Card (NHS), and the total bill for four mains, four desserts, and four drinks (one alcoholic) came to just £104.00, which included a 12.5% tip. For the quality of food and the peace of mind regarding allergies, this was incredible value. ​Great food, lovely service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We always visit local Bill’s restaurant whenever we can. The atmosphere and service is top notch. Food is delicious and consistently good quality. We had some chicken burgers, fish pie and berry meringue dessert. Also flat white coffee, mocha and pomegranate lemonade for drinks were a good addition to our meals. Sometimes it gets busy so it’s better to book a table in advance.

What a very welcoming restaurant! My wife and I went in to redeem some Christmas gift vouchers. My wife had Thai green curry that she said was amazing. I opted for the rump steak (my first in a Bill's). It was cooked to my liking and very tasty. All staff were amazing. We will be returning. Thank you all.

We ate at this restaurant both in the afternoon and in the evening, and the food was excellent each time. The waiters were very attentive and even asked if we had any allergies or if we were vegetarian, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. I highly recommend trying the passion fruit cocktail – it was delicious!

We had dinner for 4 at Bill’s on a quiet Tuesday night, in March, the food was great. And Meg and Jess made sure we were well looked after. New heritage menu has some interesting choices. Love the decor, it’s just uniquely Bill’s.

Easy booking system. Really enjoyed visit. Always helpful when there is fresh, clean food as a breakfast option. Shakshuka was particularly delicious. Staff were engaging and efficient. Welcome is always warm and Meg was no exception. Did not overstay, but wasn’t under any pressure at all to move along quickly, as is often the case elsewhere. Would recommend.

I went there te first time today. It was really nice. It was a bit pricey but the food was delicious and good quality. The Cumberland sausage was so nice even my picky toddler ate all of it. I specifically liked that the servers didn't come over every 5 minutes to ask how everything was. They just let us enjoy it.

Had a really lovely experience after a 6 hour walk. The staff were all so lovely and friendly despite the restaurant being very busy. Matilda was so smiley and friendly a real credit to the team. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed and the food was delicious and came out in good time. I rarely splurge on cocktails these days but the spicy mango margarita was fantastic!

We visited Bill’s for a birthday meal and had such a fantastic experience, all thanks to our wonderful waitress, Meg. From the moment we arrived, Meg was warm, attentive and genuinely friendly. She really went above and beyond to make the birthday feel special — nothing was too much trouble. She checked in at just the right times, made us feel completely relaxed, and added those little personal touches that made the whole evening memorable. It’s rare to come across service that feels so natural and caring, but Meg absolutely nailed it. She is a real credit to Bill’s and made our celebration extra special. Thank you, Meg — we’ll definitely be back!

The perfect birthday memory! Stepped in for a birthday breakfast with my lady and our three boys. First impression, very friendly although I have been here several times but not since 2022 mind you. Service was quick and food was plentiful. Ellie made our visit memorable and her smiles only added to our time spent. When the staff delivered our breakfast, without expecting it they broke out into a happy birthday song after picking up on our conversation. With a sparkling sparkler attached to a piece of toast on a plate, they created a funny but perfect moment making the perfect memory! Thank you Ellie and thank you to her team. Went for our anniversary lunch. Food was lovely, deserts were an absolute treat. Faith & Jess T were very attentive even though it got quite busy :)

A complete gem in all of Eastbourne! The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. The chef cooked the seafood sharer to perfection. They have an interesting menu with cool quirky dishes (even a dog menu!). The exterior seating area is comfy and modern, similar to the cool interior. A definite must - visit !

Their brunch put me in a food coma which made me miss my train to Victoria. 5 stars. P.s. Ellie was lovely! Very attentive and caring waitress. Thanks to all the staff and chefs at Bill's, very enjoyable experience and would recommend :)

Sunday evening last minute dash to Bills. Really great service. The food was delicious. I've been to a few bills but this was the best so far. our server was helpful with recommendations. My toodler wanted pancakes, we had just missed the brunch menu. Our server checked the kitchen to see if they could still make pancakes which they did. A very happy toddler and niece with their perfect pancakes. I unfortunately did not get our servers name but he was fab!

Had never been here before but will definitely be returning. The service was quick without it seeming like we were being rushed, they were very attentive. The food was amazing and was all very high quality. All around a very nice experience and would recommend with place for brunch.

Not sure how it is that a place like this is in Eastbourne - a real gem. Good food, amazing interiors and very nice staff. Just a point down because they were not able to serve aperol spritz and pinot noir even if on their menu but the staff went the extra mile to try to please me - the brought me tastes of different wines and helped me with the selection. Love the menu / very inspiring and original dish options. Also they were so accommodating with my children, bringing immediately papers and colours for the old one and all the essential to warm milk for the baby.

Go here if you struggle to sleep for an imminent food coma! 🤤 Sat outside for 30secs and knew this was a a great place to be! Bill’s never disappoints, and this place exceeded my expectations. The portion size was so good, I asked our server why she didn’t warn us about the size of the pancakes! 🥞 Ellie was absolutely lovely, it was a pleasure <3

We got bottomless pancakes and they were the best! The staff were really friendly. Our waitress CHLOE was really nice and made the visit to the restaurant very pleasant.

I visited today for brunch with my mum and my toddler. Olivia served our table and was so friendly, making sure my son had crayons and colouring to keep him busy. The food was delicious and really reasonably priced especially with my blue light discount. Thanks for a great visit!

We are regulars at Bill's, always a lovely meal and excellent service. Today we were served by the very lovely Matilda who was so patient and kind with our 2 children. I have a severe food allergy and the staff are always super attentive and the kitchen always very aware and able to accommodate. We would absolutely recommend Bill's as a family restaurant with good food and a great service.

We had a lovely impromptu meal out at Bills in Eastbourne - we were served by Molly who was amazing! Shoutout to the lovely bartender and the waitress who seated us somewhere we were comfortable, it was greatly appreciated! Molly really was amazing, very caring and catered for all of our requests (like asking the chef to melt stilton on my steak, it was delicious!). We will definitely be coming back, the food was lovely, the atmosphere was amazing and Molly and other members of staff were delightful. Thank you so much all <3

Matilda and Alannah made sure I was welcomed for my dinner on Friday night. They provided me with knowledge, and left me with a very positive experice. Will 100% be returning. Also the food was amazing, I recommed the buffalo chicken mac n cheese. Thank you chefs!

Our breakfast was to the usual high standard as expected at Bill's. We never hesitate to make Bills our first choice for casual dining. Great service and great quality food, what more could you ask for. Highly recommended. Thanks Matilda

Wha a lovely winter evening meal. Jessica our server was friendly , efficient and engaging . Th food was beautiful. I had the shiitake Sharwama that is the best that I have tasted so far . My friend had the hot honey chef special that was apparently beautiful

The waitors and waitresses are in a good mood, the service is professional and curtious. Today our waitress Lucy was smiley and dresses in a sweet festive deeley-bopper/tinsel antlers. And it just feels like a nice place to hang out - in Eastbourne Bill’s. Thank you very much for your attentiveness whilst we were ordering some food at there. :) happy Christmas

We ordered an online delivery from Bills. Food was lovely, and very tasty. Cooked to perfection. One of us had the buttermilk chicken burger with sweet potato fries and the other had the dirty vegan burger with sweet potato fries. We will definitely order again or pop into the restaurant!

Came to Bill’s fancying some pancakes with my mum and dad, and we shared the berries and vanilla cream ones. Absolutely lovely, Meg was our server she was brilliant!! definitely recommend 😋

We were served by Alannah on a very busy Christmas Eve morning and she was honestly brilliant. It was clearly hectic, but she stayed friendly, honest, and genuinely attentive the whole time. Our drinks came out a little later than usual, which was absolutely fine (a mocha is basically dessert anyway 😄), and she kindly didn’t charge us for them. You could tell she was under pressure, but she handled it with transparency and grace, which made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than stressful. Really appreciated her care and attitude - a credit to the team at Bill’s. Food was excellent too ❤️

Recently went with my partner and brother for pancake day, and the pancakes were absolutely delicious and the waitresses/waiters were so friendly. Our main waitress was Esme, she was extremely friendly and took care of us!

Had a lovely meal of smokey bacon pancakes with my brother on Tuesday. Even Muffin the dog was catered for and enjoyed her chews and water.

Had dinner at Bill’s in Eastbourne tonight and was pleasantly surprised by their burger special. It’s always a bit of a gamble trying a special over the regular menu, but this one definitely paid off. The burger was excellent: juicy, full of flavour and stacked just right. The patty was cooked to a perfect medium-well and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. The fries were golden and crispy, and the portion was satisfying without being too heavy. The atmosphere at Bill’s is relaxed and welcoming, with a bit of that signature rustic charm. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and service was prompt. All in all, a great spot for a casual bite, and the burger special made it worth the visit. I’d happily return to see what other specials they come up with. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving a quality burger in a laid-back setting.

Food was nice enough. 4 of us, we had chicken and sesame dumplings for starter. I had fish pie and others had burger, and duck fries. All enjoyable. Only negatives most of the cocktails on the menu they couldn’t do as must have run out of alcohol? No cider either. Not very good for a Saturday night. Also I dislike the automatic added service charge to the bill. When did we become so American? Feel embarrassed (being British) asking to remove it, especially when out with friends. Wish this practice would stop. As someone else commented, why should this be automatically added, pay your staff enough. If as customers we feel service has been good then happy to tip. It’s sneaky adding it to the bill then forcing the customer to ask you to remove it.

My mum and I popped into the restaurant as a little impromptu treat as she's going through cancer treatment & needed a pick me up! Esme served us and she was just lovely, attentive and wore a gorgeous smile. As if £5 pancakes couldn't get any better!! Thanks to Esme and the rest of the team :)

Family of 4 for Sunday breakfast, booked to be sure of a table. Friendly service, lots of tables free, but we did arrive as they opened. We chose a couple of pancakes with fruit breakfasts, the Bill's big brunch, and another! Portions were all large, nicely presented, cooked well, and was all really tasty... Set us up for the day! Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The menu is mainly a brunch menu on a Sunday, and I was looking for more of a traditional roast type meal. However I had an all day breakfast and the meal was very good. My partner had a chicken and flat bread meal, which she enjoyed. Service excellent and place themed and decorated well.

The food was very good. The young man that served us was very professional. He looked after my sister and I but was not over bearing like some waiters can be. Thank you ever so much to Temyson. 😊
