Qartol Turkish Restaurant

Food was absolutely amazing. Perfectly marinated, cooked on real fire, meat was bursting with flavours. My portion was a little too much for me as i wasnt exactly hungry but still finished the whole plate because did not want to waste a single piece haha. Staff was very attentive as well. Excellent.

Had dinner last night at Qartol and I cant compliment the experience enough! The food was delicious, service excellent and was overall an amazing evening! Will definitely be returning and highly recommend to all!

Been twice in the past month. The food is AMAZING!!!! And i would also recommend the sex on the beach and porn star martini🤭 Made perfectly everytime. We plan on coming back again before Christmas. Staff are welcoming, friendly, smiley and kind. The spicy Turkish sausage and garlic prawn starters were also yummy!😋😁 Chicken princess and Adane kofte with Yoghurt the flavours are just🤌🏼 See you soon!!

Quartol East Grinstead were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The whole experience was smooth and stress-free, from the initial booking right through to the visit itself. The owner was amazing, a really friendly and welcoming bloke who made everyone feel comfortable straight away. We had a group of around 25 people, and everything was handled so well with no issues at all. He even told us we could stay as long as we wanted, which was a lovely touch and really showed how much they care about their customers. The customer service was genuinely outstanding, and nothing felt rushed. The place itself looks really nice - clean, well-presented, and has a great atmosphere. And the food was top class! fresh, delicious, and enjoyed by everyone in the group. Highly recommend Quartol for group bookings - we’ll definitely be coming back!

Nev and his team are absolutely amazing! Can not recommend this anymore. The service is amazing from the moment you step in till you leave. The food is also on another level, better than any other Turkish food you can find in the south east. 100% recommend - defo give it a go you won’t regret!

Me and my boyfriend fancied a kebab, it was Easter Sunday and Qartol was the only kebab place doing delivery in the area. We've never been before, only recently moved to East Grinstead. I was expecting cheap, rubbish kebab which was all we wanted really. I was absolutely wowed when the food arrived. It was absolutely amazing, and although we didn't dine in you can tell the service is excellent by how the food came with free Turkish bread (delicious by the way), salad, sauces and 2 puddings! The dishes we ordered were fantastic. I got lamb, not usually a fan of lamb but since it was Easter I tried it, and wow, it was seasoned and cooked so beautifully. My boyfriend loved his meal too. We are just so impressed and will be returning to dine in. The delivery driver was really friendly too, I'm not sure if he works for the restaurant itself but he was great 👏🏼 We live in a flat and I really appreciated he came all the way up to our door. Thank you Qartol for an amazing meal and great service, you have 2 new customers ❤️

We booked here today but unfortunately due to a lack of water in the whole town the restaurant was closed so we had a takeaway instead and ate it on the floor in the travel lodge. The food was delicious, cooked quickly and a great service ordering the food. We can’t wait to come back when the restaurant is back open.

1st time here and it wasn't disappointed. The food was really good, the service was great and there was a good atmosphere aswell. I will go back to this restaurant

Had a wonderful time at Qartol whilst visiting East Grinstead during the festive period with my mum and sister. Loved everything including the gorgeous decor, hospitality and of course the food! The latter was delicious... I enjoyed the mixed grill dish which was a delightful variety, packed with heartwarming flavour and tender, succulent meat. Staff were so attentive and kind. Definitely recommend. Thank you guys for making our evening special.

Had a night out here last week and it was great. The food is fantastic, the service was great and we had a brilliant time. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.. 10 out of 10.

Absolutely fantastic, this is probably my favourite restaurant in East grinstead. If you don't know what to order get the chicken beyti because hot damn it is excellent.

Had dinner with friends here last night before going to the cinema next door. It was honestly some of the tastiest food I've had in a long while! Such lovely service too and a nice interior. Would highly recommend!

Excellent. We went last week and had a lovely meal, in fact we haven't been able to shut up about it. Each of us bring up at least once a day, so it's safe to say we shall be returning :)

The food here is delicious and the staff are lovely. I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a colleague and am so pleased I did. Beautifully cooked food and a friendly service. A great selection of dishes, good portion size and excellent value for money. I am so glad I found this wonderful restaurant and would highly recommend them to everyone.

My husband and I regularly get take aways from Quatrol and we are never disappointed, the food is always cooked perfectly and very tasty. Such friendly staff too. Perfect if you’re wanting a healthier take out and/ or mid- week treat. Its also a great place to dine in, lovely decor! Highly recommend.

Always fantastic food, good portion sizes and value for money every time I order. Tonight Qartol exceeded themselves even more than ever expected or needed! Unfortunately what I ordered online for delivery was out of stock so the restaurant rang me immediately - apologised and allowed me to choose another dish (which was higher in price than my original order!!) with no problem and advised the price difference was on the house. Then when my delivery arrived they even added in a dessert free of charge again. Thank-you Qartol - fantastic everytime!! Definitely recommend.

I've been here a few times now and even had take-away from here and I've NEVER been disappointed! The food is absolutely outstanding and the staff are always so kind and helpful! I would 100% recommend this restaurant, dine in or take away. If you love your Turkish food this is definitely the restaurant for you. This is actually my favourite restaurant/food and I always come here everytime I come to see my dad in East Grinstead.

Brilliant food and service. My grandparents speak highly of this place and after going to dinner with them here, it's very nice to see how good they look after them. Very much do I recommend this place.

The first restaurant I've collected from whilst in the lock-down and I wasn't disappointed. The lamb chops were the nicest I've ever had, so tender, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Will definitely be making this one of my first places to dine in when we're allowed back out.

Food was amazing on Mother's Day. Lamb and chicken cooked to perfection. Perfectly seasoned and not too salty like alot of Turkish food. The lamb just melted in your mouth too. Best I've had in years. Will go back for sure.

First time here. Very attentive waiter , pleasant staff. I had the Sea Bream which came with lovely fluffy white rice, red cabbage , raw grated carrots. Finished off with a Turkish coffee. Delicious. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to eat. We went two times in three days while staying in East Grinstead. Food was very nice / service was great. There was a mistake on our order on the second visit but was handled very well by the owner. Will definitely come back when in East Grinstead.

Friendly, attentive staff. Restaurant was comfortable and clean but the atmosphere was flat as it was fairly quiet. The food was ok… chicken didn’t seem to be good quality and was quite bland, possibly down to choice of dish so would go back to try again.

Very friendly staff, had the Chicken Shish to takeaway which was nice but very average, Salad could have been much fresher and the pitta was very plain which I could have just pulled out my freezer, the desert was a nice touch but a decent flat bread and a fresh more exciting salad to go with the chicken and rice would make it much better

Excellent food, and I really do mean that. Exemplary in fact, even though one certainly pays for it. Friendly and attentive service too, although they did that standard thing of repeatedly forgetting the tap water until prompted repeatedly. That ambience, though... Dear god. This restaurant for starters really needs some acoustic deadening, as the place is so loud it sounds more like a hysterical school canteen than an intimate restaurant. And THAT music, of the genre which horrendous British people listen to on holiday in Dalaman, has absolutely no place being played as ambient music anywhere ever. We are talking trance remixes of Dido, played LOUD. In summary: +: EXCELLENT food, -: APPALLING ambience.

Maybe good when you eat in but my takeaway was tragic. I was so excited as it has good reviews and the images on UberEats looked great. After waiting over 2 hours my food arrived and the portion sizes were shocking for what you pay and the Russian Salad was two pieces of potato with some peas absolutely drowned in a lake of mayonnaise. Very underwhelming.

Ordered a delivery online from Qartol. When it arrived one order was incorrect (lamb sent instead of chicken), and one order was missing (halloumi starter). We rang the restaurant to ask if the halloumi could please be delivered as we had paid for it, and asked for some more bread as we didn’t receive any for the other starters (hummus and taramasalata). We were told we’d have to pay for the bread which we said felt quite unfair given that we didn’t receive any with the starters and our order was wrong / missing an item. We then waited for the items to be re delivered, for over 40 minutes. We called back up and were told in a very rude tone that the delivery driver had just left, despite us ringing from a different phone number and not having said our address. By this point we’d finished our food so asked if we could have a refund and were told we would have to come to the restaurant for that, despite us having paid the first driver in cash. Things will always go wrong but it’s the way they are handled that matters, and this whole experience was very poorly handled from start to finish. The original woman (sounded quite young) dealt with our issue quite well but the other staff were rude to us as customers and to this woman. A shame as the food was tasty (albeit almost cold when first delivered). Also the bread that was provided with the mains was looked and tasted like supermarket pitta - again, maybe there was a bread shortage but something should be done to make up for that. Would not feel happy to order from here again.

(I had takeaway, didn’t eat in) Really disappointing. I ordered a lamb beyti (a wrap of yoghurt, minced lamb, in lavaş/bread) and instead got spiced minced lamb shaped like lamb beyti with plain white rice. No bulgur just regular rice. Instead of lavaş (turkish flat bread) the meal came with plain white pita bread, like what you get from the shop. The only sauce was a small dip. The portions were tiny considering the price (a small box for £17!!) and the fact the food was little more than something you could make at home. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is that the quality of the meat itself was fine. I wasn’t blown away by Rocca nearby and the service was terrible but at least it was actual turkish food. Zorba in tunbridge wells is far better than both, same price but you actually get what you pay for. I regret eating from here.

Started well but then we asked for a platter for 2 to be made for 3 people. What arrived was a platter for 2 but we were charged for 3. We did question it at the time politely but it went right over the managers head. The waitress then bought over the desert menus and left us for 20 mins came back and we told her our preferences but the they didn’t have them! Why didn’t she inform us what they actually had in stock first!! Paid and left to pickup some fab ice cream on the way home. No will not be returning.

Spent £33 for calamari, mixed kebabs and chips. Chips portion was okay but the rest did not justify the price. Far to small portions. Taste is standard but nothing special. Maybe different if you sit in

Ordered online. Food arrived very late, after I had to call them. Rice was stone cold. Meat was barely warm. Pitta bread was cheap and from a packet, had been warmed up and left to get cold so was completely stale and brittle. They wouldn't deliver unless I met a minimum order amount, so added 1x diet coke and 2x garlic dip to my order. Coke never arrived. Received 5x dip. You should be ashamed and embarrassed about sending this to someone. Don't you have any pride in your business at all? Will not be recommending you to anyone.

**AVOID** Shocking customer service, cold food and ripped off 1. Ripped off > we ordered through Just East which I accept will be subject an additional charge to cover their commission. However, given we spent £40 on a x2 chicken wraps, x3 small sides (3 small chunks of halloumi (£6.50!!) 3 small portions of calamari (£6.50!!) and garlic mushrooms (£6.50!!!) I am shocked at the value for money we received from this restaurant. It is the ultimate rip off. 2. Customer service > we had to explain twice (once to the female manager and once to the owner) the owner was patronising towards us, accused us of lying and did not believe our complaint, then had the nerve to blame everything on Just Eat! The male owner needs to take responsibility, but instead he got aggressive over the phone and kept calling us darling! We asked for a partial refund, which was greeted by a response of shouting down the phone at us, and saying he does not have a solution to our problem! I would suggest and recommend some training in customer service to owner and his staff. 3- Food was delivered cold, the wraps were soggy, the chips in the carton were minimal (like the starters) the wraps were spicy, which was not pointed out in the menu description either! Overall, awful awful experience and can't understand the positive reviews below based on what happened this evening! Will not be eating from here again and will certainly recommending our friends and family stay away.

Disgusting experience! Ordered via uber eats with at 9pm today, got a call half an hour later to say that the restaurant cannot make or deliver my order. Unprofessionally, they called me directly (I was called by Rudwan) who asked me to reach out to uber eats to tell them this and to cancel my order (as they did not know how to cancel my order) - exactly what I do not need after a busy day of working as a doctor! Will not be ordering from here again, instead better to go with Rocca Mediterranean Kitchen which has fantastic food and does not mess around busy professionals like this!
