Incredible takeaway from here. Initially the order was wrong (these things happen, not to worry), but the staff sorted it out quickly and were absolutely lovely. They even gave me free baklava and halloumi, which was such a kind touch. The bread was gorgeous and the chocolate cake was unreal! I had such a lovely meal and plenty of leftovers for the next few days. Will definitely be coming back🥰

This is a very nice venue with lovely decor. The staff are very friendly, responsive and provide a top quality service. We opted for the Dem Shish Special platter with an extra order of chicken wings and mocktails. The huge serving of food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. Rich flavours, a mix of tenderly cooked meats, well presented with chips and salad. More than enough for a family of four. Staff were always on hand to check everything is fine. The atmosphere is busy and vibrant, with staff coming out to celebrate birthday guests, by singing and bringing cake and sparklers. It's great value for money, considering the quality and quantity of food you receive. We would definitely recommend to book ahead if you plan on going on a Friday or weekend evening, as it will most likely be packed. We'll definitely be visiting again to enjoy the company of their lovely staff and try out more of their delicious food.

The food here and atmosphere is amazing. Enjoyed an anniversary dinner and the meal was next level. The staff too were amazing. They also have belly dancers on some nights. Limited Parking available on site, if full, there was free (evening) on street. Generally okay for spaces Highly recommended

Great experience, delicious food, and beautiful venue. Special mention to waitress who catered to all 12 of us. Food was amazing, great flavours made our dinner really special after amazing day. Venue clean and tidy.

I really can't fault the night at all. I was a bit wary about going here because I had not had Turkish food before, but we were there celebrating a birthday and this was the choice of the birthday girl. The waitress was excellent she took the time to explain what the meals were that I asked about. I decided to have one she said was one of her favourites. I wasn't disappointed. They had a live singer there that my niece was singing along to. I said to the waiter that she was singing along and it was a shame she couldn't join in. A few minutes later the singer came over to ask my niece if she would like to duet with her. My niece is only 8 and loves singing. I wish I knew the ladies name that was the singer because see was so good with her and took care of her as she went shy. Made her night though. The staff brought out the birthday cake and sang and clapped and other customers joined in. One of our best nights out ever great company although one person in particular was surely missed, food service and atmosphere. Will definitely be going back and can't recommend it high enough.

Dem Shish is a brilliant restaurant in Crawley. The food is really good quality always fresh, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. The staff are friendly and attentive, and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. It’s a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I’d definitely recommend it.

Definitely an experience to remember!! Went to Dem Shish on a Saturday evening for dinner and we were greeted with a belly dancer performing for the whole restaurant which was some great starting entertainment for the evening. The atmosphere inside was fun, busy and full of life. The food was also really good from the starters to the main and dessert. Definitely recommend if your passing Crawley or live in Crawley.

I totally recommend this place. I went with family for dinner on a weekend which can be busy. The restaurant was almost full but the quality of service didn't suffered a bit and didn't felt rushed. The food was very tasty, cocktails were chosen with the help from the waitress and they were delicious. People complains that can be overpriced but they forget how everything else is expensive and I can tell that the quality of the food and service combined it's worth the price. I will definitely come back again.

The food was sublime! It was colourful and simply delicious. The restaurant itself has been decorated beautifully, really stylish/modern yet still cozy! The service was excellent, staff were really helpful and welcoming. Price wise, absolutely worth the money! If you haven't been, your missing out!

Dem shish restaurant has a large parking area with a bright entrance. The restaurant has a great ambience and the interior is beautifully decorated. The food was absolutely delicious with lovely presentation. The drinks menu has a variety of drinks and cocktails. It is definitely a place to enjoy, celebrate and relax. Staff are very helpful, attentive and polite. I look forward to visiting again.

We went on Valentine's Day, new restaurant. We had already tried it in another city and we loved everything, cocktails, food and service! all very delicious definitely one of my favourites! Super classy restaurant.

Impressive! Smart looking restaurant with lots of staff who deliver excellent customer service. They made sure we were looked after, drinks topped up etc. Great food and glad to support a local business. Will definitely be coming back and looking forward to seeing what the place is like in summer! Update: Remembered we were told there is a 2 hour visit limit (unusual - it was a Friday night. Not so great if there is a large group of you). The place was very busy to be fair. The only constructive feedback is that it isn't very clear where you should park when it is dark or someone that isn't a local (parking space lines need to be painted but I'm aware they only recently opened after a fantastic refurb so that might be part of later work planned). I didn't see a wheelchair ramp to get into the restaurant, only to get up from the car park to the entrance (presuming a ramp can be provided when requested).

Lovely food best turkish restaurant I have eaten at so far. I'm going back for seconds very soon. Had the mixed shish with turkish bread. Couldn't fault it. Also worth a mention , the chilli sauce is A1. Very different tasting. I will be back within days for a second go. I recommend **went back the following day**

A great experience. Parking, classy entrance with a red carpet, live music, friendly service, nice decor, and excellent food. We will return regularly.

Had an amazing experience at Dem Shish! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. The service was brilliant—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The entertainment added a great atmosphere to the evening, making it even more enjoyable. What a fantastic place. Every thing was just brilliant, the food, albeit I only had 4 different starters for a main, was out this world. Had a belly dancer come out aswell and allowed my young niece to join and tried to teach her some moves. Very attentive staff but not overbearing, we was a large party (16 of us) all food arrived together and nearly every plate was empty. Definitely recommend.

Another random choice as we were in the area. Very sparkly decor, if that's your thing. The food was delicious, the staff are on the ball and it all went very smoothly. Also on a Saturday they have a belly dancer in for added entertainment. Good atmosphere, one to remember for when we are back this way in the future.

I had an incredible dining experience! Dem Shish is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The food has so much flavour and seasoning just how I like it. The cocktails are made with love and a lot of alcohol to just how I like it😊the staff are friendly and and welcoming. I definitely recommend xx

Visited for the first time today with family. The meal was absolutely wonderful and tasted amazing. The prices were slightly high for the area that it is in however they did have a special offer on and we received 20% discount which was fantastic. I will most definitely return here, they also advertise some set menu deals also but we didn’t looks too much into those.

We went for the lunch special 2 courses for £14.45 which was limited but good value for money. The garlic mushrooms came in a rich creamy sauce that needed the complimentary bread to soak up the juices. Vegetable samosas were crisp and tasty, garnished with a blob of houmous. Adana kebab of minced lamb kofta was moist while the chicken shish was bordering on dry. A la carte is pretty pricey for Turkish but the former White Knight pub had an extensive refit and is unrecognisable. As a cocktail bar and with its 190 covers of empty space it is cavernous but cold. However the staff were warm and welcoming despite being preoccupied with Christmas decorations! The washrooms were decorated to a very high standard but there was no accessible toilet. That together with 2 steep steps to negotiate made it hard on this disabled crutch user.

I decided to treat my fiance to dinner here as it was recommended to us as an alternative to Efes which we love. We went on a Thursday as we wanted to avoid it being too busy. The food was delicious really tasty and it came out in good time. Staff were super professional. I gave it 4 stars as we had to ask for things I consider to be essentials such as tissue, salt and pepper and we wernt given any dips! These things should be provided with any meal in my opinion. Also a simple happy birthday on a dessert request apparently isn't something this restarant does which is fair enough I just wish they had told me days before when I made the booking. Overall food was great and I would return on a weekend to get the full experience of the atmosphere. Ps The Stawberry Daquiri was exceptional.

We had the special. It came with lamb,salad,chicken and we had complementary bread with dips. Food was tasty but was a bit pricey although there was lots of food. Overall we give it a 7 out of 10 (4 out of 5). Would recommend if you like lots of meat.

Lovely deco. Staff are friendly and service is fast. But noisy for lunch time and could have done with some music in the background.

The food here is very tasty, cooked well, delivered quickly and hot, polite service, but inside it's a little like a community centre rather than a restaurant especially given the prices being rather higher than average for this type of food, the biggest negatives are the carpark not being that big, not to well lit, the walkway leading to the door was almost like a skating rink because so slippy and steps to with no lighting, inside the same issue with a very slippy hazardous floor, these issues have accidents waiting to happen all over them, they are the main negatives along with the rather high price that loses my review 2 stars.

We liked the service - polite and attentive. Food was very average, we were very confused by Indian samosas and Chinese sweet chilli sauce in Turkish hot meze.

Went for my husband's birthday meal. Made a reservation and let them know it was a special birthday – but no one acknowledged it at all at any point across the evening. It honestly felt like they hadn’t even read the notes or even properly reserved us a table. We were plonked right next to a large rowdy group of girls who were clearly having a good time and had been drinking a while – no issue with them at all, but I’d asked for a nice table for the occasion. There were definitely more suitable ones available earlier on, but after we arrived they’d been filled – otherwise we would’ve asked to move. It’s a shame they didn’t actually reserve us any table, especially considering the occasion. Service was fast but felt really rushed. The staff were polite enough, but everything just felt a bit chaotic and like we were being hurried along. Serval waiters/waitresses would approach for the same thing and varying times. They also missed off the salad that was supposed to come with my meal, and by the time I realised, it just didn’t feel worth chasing it up. The food was tasty, but definitely overpriced for what it was. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because they advertised live entertainment from 7:30 – it was actually a big part of why we booked. But there was nothing. No explanation, no heads-up, nothing. Just a bit of a let-down. To top it off, both my husband and I ended up with really bad stomachs afterwards. I hadn’t eaten anything else that day, so I know it was from the food. Not great, especially after spending £70. Overall, we were both really, really disappointed. It was meant to be a special evening we’d been looking forward to (we don’t often get a night without the kids) and it just completely missed the mark. Really ruined the evening. Wouldn’t go back. Really disappointed.

Got in, waited 40 mins didn’t even get asked what drinks I wanted. It was valentines however booked for 21:00 so should have been faster! Left hungry and disappointed after being told it was amazing. They didn’t even notice that we had left. Also didn’t feel authentic! Music was Mexican or Spanish and really took away that traditional Turkish feel.

Just came back from my dinner. Started with watery drinks. Pornstar martini tasted like mocktails. Ordered tiger prawns and git a king prawns. in price of tiger prawns. All in all. Overpriced shitty food not so great service. Service charge automatically added to the bill. Would prefer to choose if I want to reward staff for the service. Not worth of your money.

I visited a few days ago with a group of 10 (9 + a baby). The restaurant was completely empty, but when we arrived, a staff member asked if we had a booking — which felt quite awkward, as if we weren’t welcome despite there being plenty of space. The food was very average for the price. We ordered two full cold meze starters, but the portions were tiny. There was also a long delay before the mains arrived. While the mains were okay, the service overall was disappointing. They forgot to bring out my child’s meal, and we ended up waiting a long time for it. Staff barely checked in on us throughout the evening. We brought a birthday cake, and although they brought it out, they didn’t provide a knife, cutlery, or plates — which added to the sense that we weren’t really being looked after. It honestly felt like they didn’t want us there. I was really disappointed, especially because I’d been before with a friend and had a much better experience. This time, we spent a lot of money but didn’t feel it was worth it — neither the food nor the service lived up to expectations. Only when it came to paying the bill, the service was better, we did still pay the service charge despite this. We realisef as well that they also offer 20% off Monday-Wednesday. They didn’t even tell us or offer this off the final bill. Sums it uo really!
