First time eating here, food was great. We sat outside on the rooftop so we could look out at the ocean.

Clean restaurant with a unique, two-story layout. Even has outdoor seating on the second floor patio and an elevator. Workers went above and beyond to make sure the order was right, and the setting was comfortable with a nice view of Corpus Bay. Food was also freshly prepared and delicious.

I ordered through the app and when I got my food and sat down they had the wrong sandwich. After I went back to the counter they were apologetic and made my Whataburger promptly and delivered it to my table. Things happen and my food was delicious!

My favorite place to get my Whataburger made 100% correctly. Every time I go there everyone love to see Tabitha, I there again. Only thing I can say is they need to keep up with the cleanliness on tables, the area to get the drinks, condiments upstairs.

Very cool and unique restaurant with an awesome balcony that had a great view of the ocean. They had great service and the food was delicious, as always. We had to make a pit stop before leaving back home.

What.. a.. burger.. Its just a regular burger not gonna lie, no special sauce or way of cooking it, but if you're looking for just a plain ol' burger this is the place. ALTHOUGH, they do offer more unique options, I had just ordered their regular. Also the fries are super salty and the cup sizes are ginormous. THE PLACE is also 2 stories! and right by the sea! So cool! Very cool actually.. Recommended to come eat 2nd floor balcony :D

I can understand why people think Whataburger is better than in-n-out. But to be honest they're in different categories and can't really be compared to each other. But it definitely beats McDonald's, Burger King, Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, etc. out of the water. This location is a two story restaurant which is dope. The 2nd floor had its own soda fountain station. The food was brought up to the 2nd floor. Got the patty melt which was bomb. The regular Whataburger was a bit sad. The onion rings awesome. Love the spicy and fancy ketchup too. The regular Whataburger wasn't that great just because the structure feels so off. The onions, lettuce and tomatoes were in like half of the burger. And this is my only complaint. I would get the patty melt every time with onion rings and a side of the patty melt sauce if I would eat here again. And I should. The service and staff are really great and friendly. I wish this was everywhere. Compared to sonics it is pretty close too. When sonics has the garlic bacon burger it's hard for me to not love sonics more. And the consistency across every food item at sonics is better than Whataburger. But still the best item at Whataburger comes pretty close to even with the best item at sonics. At that point I can't choose.

Whatabay! This Whataburger is across the street from the Bay! You can sit upstairs outside and enjoy the beautiful view while you eat a delicious burger! What’s even cooler is the Whataburger founder is from Corpus Christi and this location is one of the originals! It’s huge compared to other Whataburger and def worth a stop if you are a fan!! I came here from Dallas and they did not disappoint!

I use the app to order but it's so unorganized.. I kept telling them my name and ordered online app... They kept asking what number Whataburger have to do better for the app have a better system.. like numbers on tables to let the employees know where to bring the food.. something order on app give me number to pick up or something

When I planned my trip to Chorpus Chrisit. I had one thing in mind. Visit the world's only 2 story Whataburger...and take the kids to he beach for the first time. We were very excited to visit the largest Whataburger in the world. Also the only one with an elevator. Even though it was raining we were determined to check it out. Really cool experience to see it first hand. Great view of the bay. Would recommend for a delicious bite to eat for not a lot of money.

Open for 24 hours, so makes a great midnight snack! This is the biggest Whataburger in the country (according to Wikipedia), so it is a must visit when in Corpus Christi and Texas. I wanted to buy a milkshake, but the machine gets cleaned after hours, but I just got the milkshake the next day. Really good burger and much prefer it to In-N-Out!

They said this was the flagship Whataburger, and I didn't know what that meant until I showed up. It's amazing! This location has two stories and a balcony that you can sit on and look out over the water! Plus, it had the best Whataburger food I've ever eaten at Whataburger! And that said something....

This location gets pretty busy due to it being a flagship store. Food is good like all the other locations. It takes a little bit to get your food since it’s all cooked at order time. Get a seat on the second floor for a nice view of Corpus Cristi Bay. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the founder before you leave.

This is the largest Whataburger I've been to, with 2 stories and an outside seating area on the balcony. Fast service in spite of at least 2 Boy Scout troops, a Girl Scout troop, another large group, and our Trail Life troop. Food was good, staff was friendly, and good service.

But you really come here for the food. According to the plaque, the original Whataburger is about 3 Mike's from here. If you visit Corpus Christi, make this a stop, you won't regret it.

The only 2 story Whataburger ever built. Same great tasting burger that you know and love. The atmosphere is great! Enjoy your meal on their outside patio, but watch out for the seagulls, they might try to steal your fries!

The NEW hibiscus Strawberry drink, 10/10... The prickly pear is still my favorite. But the hibiscus 🌺, my new obsession 🤩 If y'all want good dipping sauce, bring the chipotle mayo from h.e.b. AMAZING ON EVERYTHING 👍🏼💯

This Whatburger crew is young but SPOT ON! The service was exceptional, from Lorena at the register to Chloe expediting food to tables. We had a big group, but we had $120 plus worth of food at the table within 5 minutes of paying. (I barely had time to warm my chair). If you want a five-star experience at a WhataBurger, this is the place!

This was one of our bucket list items and when she found out, she went out of her way to make it happen! She even delivered our food to us on the upper exterior balcony while we waited for the sun to rise. What-a-Wonderful experience! Exceptional hospitality service!

Love that they bring around ketchups and sauces to the tables. Offering upstairs dining is unique for a fast food restaurant, especially when you can take an elevator ride to get there!

After a morning of sightseeing in Corpus Christi, we headed here for lunch and were not disappointed. It was big and busy but the large parking lot had plenty of spaces. The short line moved quickly and we were greeted with a smile by the cashier who took our order correctly and quickly. We chose to eat upstairs to enjoy views of downtown and the harbor. There is an elevator for patrons with strollers and for those who struggle with stairs. Drinks were self serve both upstairs and downstairs. Our orders were brought to our table by Whataburger staff. The restaurant was clean and the air conditioning felt wonderful. Highly recommend the Patty Melt and Mushroom Swiss burgers. Would definitely eat here again!

This Whataburger is unique in that it is the only 2 story Whataburger ever built. Of course, same great delicious food is served here. If you are visiting from another part of the country and have never tried Whataburger, you MUST stop here before you leave the area. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend this place for your next meal!!

Came to Corpus Christi Texas for some much needed R&R. While there the family really wanted to go to Whataburger. 2story burger joint with spectacular views of the ocean 🌊 and downtown Corpus Christi. Can't say no to that. Lovely place. The service is a bit lacking and the food was so so. But the family didn't complain and we had a great time. That's really the important thing to take from all of this. The employees were probably tired and ready for the new year celebration.

We went for a late breakfast (about 10:15) on a Friday, and it wasn’t very busy. The food was good, and our order was right. The restaurant was clean. We ate upstairs, outdoors at one of the picnic tables. It was a fun experience. There are stairs indoors and outdoors to get upstairs, and there is also an elevator. There were nice murals and plaques along the walls about the company as well as a statue of its founder on a bench inside the door.

So I had a low I had just had blood work done at the hospital on shoreline the cashier went to help me right away with my order as I was shaking because of the diabetic low blood sugar. I was afraid I'm scared for myself I had never experienced a low in front of people much less strangers, Whataburger staff was very helpful and understanding they made sure that the manager who was in charge stayed with me at the table to make sure I was okay For diabetes it is a very difficult thing to experience especially in public my sugar was so low it hit 57 for a diabetic person this is very low anything under 30 and you must go to the doctors emergency immediately. That's how serious it was so I was very grateful to the staff and representation of our local Whataburger it's an incredible feeling when you know the perfect strangers would be the ones to help you

Stopped in for a quick lunch.. hadn't been at this location in a while..clean.. not busy. I placed my order and got served in 4-7 minutes. Elevator was out of service so I didn't get to go upstairs..it would otherwise be on,but as a wheelchair user not so much Still enjoyed my time there. Everyone was super friendly and courteous. From an employee outside sweeping..to one waiting for his ride after his shift. They both opened the door for me..very kind..

Never in my life have I seen a 2 story whataburger so our family knew we had to go. We’re like any other Texan that loves whataburger so we were excited! Food was cheaper than where we’re from and it was ready pretty quick! It was about 7-8 meals and they all came out fresh and everything was correct. Service 11/10 Yes it was packed, but it rained hard a few minutes prior so downstairs and upstairs were packed. Employees helped us dry a large table outside and we dined outside. Enjoying a nice burger and the view of the ocean with the seagulls near by was just an absolutely amazing experience we all enjoyed. No complains here at all. Just great memories and food, thank you whataburger!

I am a big Whataburger fan and this did not disappoint! This is the only two story with soda and seating on both! There is a balcony overlooking the water AND the staff is very nice. Would definitely stop here and see the one and only. It’s a little bit extra but that’s why we love it!

As is typical for this Texas-originated burger chain, the food is prepared to order for you, not under a heat lamp waiting for someone. You order at the counter, get your beverage & they bring your food to your table, along with a condiment tray for you to pick from. Hot & delicious as usual! Enjoy dining on one of the best fast-food burgers in town, while relaxing in the beauty of the peaceful surroundings and gorgeous views. This is a great tourist stop because because you've got the arts district, museums, a live theater, and bustling nightlife all nearby.

The wife and I dropped by for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere felt inviting! The man helping take our orders was a tad bit on the stern side, but it's fast food. Not expecting 5-star service from here. So he gets a pass. Only one star lost here. The wife ordered a Whataburger (Number 1) all the way with fries and a drink. I ordered a Whatachicken with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and cheese with a toasted bun. The burgers came out perfectly. The fries were warm, but not hot. But that's fine not docking any stars for that. The wife and I both enjoyed eating upstairs. We definitely loved this location in Corpus Christi. If you're here, we highly recommend eating here. We both see why it is a popular location.

It’s a cool Whataburger to visit. It wasn’t too busy when we went. However, the fries were cold and one of our orders was incorrect but they did fix it and gave us a apple pie which was really good! Should at least visit this Whataburger at least once in your life.

Because it's made to order, it may take a few minutes longer, but it's worth it. Whataburger makes a great burger! Customizing is no problem at all. I tried the spicy ketchup for the first time, and I get it now. It's a nice kick. Not that their fries need much help. 😉

Paid extra for jalapeno but got 3 nubs/ ends that could equal a slice all together. Place was slow but still had to wait for someone to come to counter to take order. I looked for a kiosk but they still acted like I had interpreted their Social Media time on the phone. Elevator looks like it's been out of order for some time. I only visited the two story whataburger … didn’t eat there but it has an elevator! I feel like it would be a little nicer but it was alright. It’s a fun attraction if you know about whataburger .. might be back and actually eat there.

The burgers are great. Remember to ask for salt for the fries (they came unsalted). We had the classic Whataburger, Avocado Bacon Burger, and Justaburger kids' meal. All were great, but the avocado burger was especially good. Note that it is made with onions that are pretty strong.

There was a large group of us. They got us all taken care of. Food was fresh and hot. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We got a lemon and apple as an indulgence. Lemon was very lemony and my favorite. The apple was tasty and was my daughter's favorite.

Interesting site with some history to it as well. Two level seating with an upstairs outdoor patio with great views. Good and consistent food, quick delivery, reasonable prices and friendly service.

Had to come here at the OEM where it all started well, not exactly this imparticular building but corpus christi. Had a good time, great customer service. It is a bit hard to find parking on weekend you figure it be packed, but the majority is people clubbing, but it is what it is. I feel worse for the employees who were to park. Location is nice you get to see the bay area from the second floor, but it does need some cleaning floors were dirty and trash cans over full.

I can't believe it took 15 minutes just to get a bacon eggs cheese biscuit. Never had ever had this kind of service 🙄. But the food is always great the girl in the window was polite.

We ordered 3 sausage egg & cheese taquitos at 5:57 AM. I am just wondering WHY it took 15 minutes to receive our order. Once we ordered & paid getting any solid answer on what was taking so long for such a simple order seemed next to impossible. I get it's early but you work customer service, smile please. It goes a long way. As far as it goes for the food. It was alright. Not HOT-Fresh just warm. But it was good.

My family and I were stoked about going to the two story Whataburger on the sea wall, Corpus Christie . The restaurant is amazing from the outside and totally blue in the inside. However, the burgers were cold, the soft drinks were flat and the gravy was only a quarter filled on my daughters number 13’s… They did bring us new gravy’s… and, the French fries were served hot. I recommend going there for the experience. 3 out of 4 mustaches.

Good! We went during busy times and some of our orders were messed up; the workers weren’t hesitant to fix it and even gave us extra! The kids meal burger is a great portion too.

We were really excited to come here. We love Whataburger and that's the first meal we eat even in Texas. This place, however, the employee who served us seemed like he didn't want to be there and the food wasn't even warm. It was really disappointing. We won't go back

This place is a two-story fast food restaurant. It has a lovely view of the beach, great location, and plenty of parking. However it can be very busy during certain hours, or events that take place downtown which draws in all kinds of characters. Food has always been great. Pretty clean, but can be messy at times. I've yet to have bad service, but I feel like not many young ppl smile or seem happy at their job so it comes off as unfriendly.

This Whataburger is going down because of the homeless that come around there and beg for money. My last two times eating there were not a pleasant experience. I got served chicken tenders which were dry, hard, and hardly any meat in them. And my fries were old. I'm definitely not happy with the way they are now.

This is supposed to be their flagship restaurant, the pinnacle of the Whataburger brand. We arrived at 10:57am and there were maybe 5 tables with people. We ordered and it took 19 minutes to get our food. We wanted to eat upstairs and did but every booth was filthy and so where the floors. The upstairs drums station was so gross with hundreds of gnats. Bathroom(men’s) was so gross. There are no papers towels and no way out without touching handle. No mirror as well. Employees not friendly. This makes me so sad after years of selling the whatsburger brand. I’m ashamed at what this company has become. It’s a McDonalds. They have no excuses as Chic-fil-A is killing it in the same cities with the same labor force. It’s all about management and corporate. After 30 years of eating here I tested the fate of my continued business on their flagship restaurant. Since they don’t care enough to over manage this one there is zero hope for the rest of the brand. I am done with Whataburger.

We waited 30 minutes to get fast food. THIRTY MINUTES. The place was a little busy but not packed by any means. I asked for a vanilla shake and was given a banana one. The girl realized the mistake when she handed me the banana shake and said she would make another one. While waiting for our food I took a sip of the new one, it was still banana. I went back up to the counter for a second time and the girl said, "oh! It is still going to taste like banana because I poured out the banana shake and topped the cup with vanilla. So there's still banana in the bottom of the cup." I'm sorry, but WHAT??! You purposely reused a cup that still had the wrong thing in it? Why??!! Get a new cup ffs. That's insane and just gross. While still waiting the 30 minutes for our food, I had to go back up to the counter and wait in line for a THIRD time because they forgot to give me my daughter's cup for her drink. BOTH ice machines were broken and it was a hot summer day. Other customers brought it up to management's attention and no one said or did anything about it. We finally got our food and got back to the hotel we are staying in and we were missing the brownie my daughter ordered AND my burger was made completely wrong. I guess we should have checked the bag, but after all of the nonsense over the 30 min we were there, I was ready to get back. (Also... just make the food correctly and double check that the customer has everything. It is your job and certainly not a difficult one by any means.) The absolute only positive experience about this waste of $40 for two combos and a brownie, (ridiculously high prices!!!!), was the onion rings. They were good. That's it. Whataburger is usually good, but this location and their staff are truly awful. I would have left zero stars, but it's not an option.

I’ve been living by the water for 3 months now I always ask for fresh food from whataburger when I go . Well I never receive fresh food only once and tonight I went and this is what I found myself eating 😭 A really big egg shell I spit it out and put it on top of the bob you can see I bit all into it:(( I don’t think I’ll be going to whataburger again. It’s just not the same. Would rate this place no stars if I could after asking for fresh food every time and being ignored

Bad drive thru customer service and the food (especially the fries) was not hot or fresh. Gravy for the chicken strips was not even halfway filled in the small 4oz cup. Strips are teeny tiny. Too bad because this Whataburger location is the coolest in town. 2 meals was $20 and change.

Took 20 mins to get my order. No one else in the store. Then they gave me this poor excuse for an order of onion rings. Come on, Whataburger, get it together.

Got the chicken strip basket and when I got to the bottom of the basket there was a dead roach in there. We politely asked for the manager so we could inform her. She was EXTREMELY rude accusing me of frying a roach and putting it in my own basket stating “we don’t have roaches that look like that” and “we will be checking cameras” she eventually provided a refund for the basket.

They do not have one single vegetarian option, not even a vegetarian salad. Absolutely everything contains with meat. They said I could have hash browns instead of a meat patty in my burger. Ridiculous - who wants a hash brown burger?

Upon our arrival, the presence of a deceased insect at the entrance immediately raised concerns regarding the establishment's hygiene standards. Furthermore, we observed the cashier handling beverage cups by the inside of the rim while fulfilling our order, which suggests a potential lack of proper training or disregard for sanitary practices. Finally, a foreign object, resembling a hairnet, was discovered within one of the medium fry containers, prompting my husband to inform the manager. This series of events led to a deeply unsatisfactory experience. We intend to share our experience with our acquaintances to caution them about this establishment.

Great location. TERRIBLE service. Waited 20 minutes for a taquito. Took 10 minutes to order. From the time I walked in it took 30 minutes to get my average tasting taquito. It was not busy at all either. Won't be coming back to this location.
