The main attraction of the Beach House is that it's next to the water and away from the foot traffic of the main stretch. The food is definitely great, plenty of lobster and crisp greens. I wouldn't say we found a defining dish on the menu though. You will spend a little more here than at some of the other establishments in the area. We ate on the patio at sunset and it was stunning.

7.26.25 What a gem! We were biking, and the flowers and outdoor seating caught our eye, so we stopped for a bite and drink. The staff was cheerful and friendly. The fig flatbread was amazing. The views are stunning from the outdoor bar area and the indoors. Great place to people watch, too.

This restaurant is such a summer vibe. The views of the water are stupendous. There's not a bad seat in the house. The staff's beyond attentive and kind. Our waitress we usually get is so lovely. Loved chatting with her. She made our visit that much better. And let's not forget the food...OMG! I don't have the right words to describe how fabulous the food was. Every bite sent my taste buds dancing. Will most Definitely be back! It's a must check out spot.

My family and I had a great experience, from service to food!!! We went on a Sunday afternoon, they had live entertainment. I don’t recall the name of the entertainers, but it was two guys that sang and one played the guitar. We sat outside, enjoyed the water views!! Will definitely return again!!

Breathtakingly beautiful and scenic vistas of the shore and the bike track. Especially being seated in the patio area on a lovely sunny day, it was a truly mesmerizing view and experience. The staff was genuinely polite, friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Not snobbish at all, thankfully! Very rare to find a truly professional staff on restaurant's nowadays. Special shout-out to Sarah! Food was finger licking delicious. I am told they had just revamped the menu. I can't comment on the previous menu, but the chef knows their job well! Loved their calamari, PB burger, and the fries were extra super duper crsipy to die for! Just the cocktail I had was way too sweet (loaded with sugary syrup), so didnt enjoy that one. Ample car parking on a October saturday afternoon, but it gets super busy during peak summer months. The patio from the parking lot is directly accessible. Else take the mini elevator to floor 2 for indoor or outdoor seating.

Excellent view with a seat by the water. Server was attentive and very responsive to our requests. The food was delicious, with generous portions. The fish was beyond fresh

So first I want to start with all the great things about this place. Which would be the views are amazing, I have really never seen anything that looks more picturesque New England. And then I want to follow up with our server, Sarah was incredibly bright and bubbly very smart. As for the food, I will say that the lobster roll was probably one of the best lobster rolls I have ever had in my life with lots and lots of lobster meat. And the market price was incredibly reasonable. However I was let down by our calamari and by our oysters. The The fry on our calamari was very mushy. How do they put on way too much of the the sauce that it came with or they didn't batter the calamari enough but it just felt like if you're going to fry it it should have a better crunch to it... But I was most let down by the oysters; This restaurant did select a beautiful type of oyster the natural flavors of the oyster were wonderful. However they were not properly shucked, a lot of my oysters were still fully attached to the shell, as well as lots of broken shell inside. This is New England, you got to know how to shuck oysters if you're going to serve them.

How have I not been here before? We were looking for some outdoor dining by the water and stumbled upon The Beach House. First, the setting is perfect. Next, service - we had no complaints because we had no place to be and wanted to enjoy the day. However, others may think it's a tad slow - though friendly. Lastly, the food was very good. We came for seafood. We had grilled mahi & shrimp and seafood linguine. Both were fresh and tasty. We'll be back again.

The Beach House is a great place to dine outside at sunset, since it is located on the water and has nice views at sunset. The food we ordered was all prepared to our specifications and the hostess and waitress that served us were both warm and friendly. Ample free parking on the premise and good selection of beer and wine.

Food is great! The flat bread pizza is yummy too! My first time there and we sat outside. It was really hot out! Frozen drinks are a must and yummy as well. Wait staff friendly and very attentive. Live music outside was nice, relaxing. Beautiful view of the water and customers also had their dogs as well. Overall, great summer spot.

Went to Bristol for a lil Bday getaway. The wife chose The Beach House for dinner because it had a diverse menu and the scenery. Plenty of parking when we pulled up. Entered the restaurant and really enjoyed their choice of decoration. They have an assortment of seating options available, low top, high top, outdoor and bar. Ok wife is yelling cause I'm taking too long on writing this lol. We ordered our drinks and the bartender made them just right. Flavor and strength worked very well together. I had the clam chowder, she had the squash bisque. She emptied her bowl before I finished mine. That never happens because I enjoy food more than her. They were extremely good. Oh, almost forgot about the pork belly tostada. Not for lack of or dislike because I will definitely order it again. Our entrees got us we were pleased with the presentation. I chose to get the salmon. I tend to eat my sides before I dig into the my main. I tried the rice. It was good and balanced. Tried the spinach, good but a lil salty. I knew the salmon was going to be sweet, so I then paired the two together and wow. It's a dish worth repeating. They had a special for dessert, chocolate mousse cake. It made me very happy because the chocolate wasn't overwhelming and it was so smooth! We were very happy to go there and look forward to our next time there.

My party of 6 (5 adults and one child) arrived at 2:15. A great size parking lot. There is a great view. Outside dining, a bar, and inside dining. We were seated inside at a low top table by request of a group member. Our server was unbelievably great. She was attentive but no overbearing. Really great banter with the table and extremely accommodating. We started with drinks. Drinks were milk, a blueberry crush, a pill crusher, a watermelon sling, a ???? mule, Narragansett , an orange seltzer, and everyone had water! The server gave up time to enjoy some conversation before asking about apps. We struggled with some many choices...we settled on Pork Belly with diakon/pickled onion called Bauo Bun Sliders...octopus which was grilled. The octopus was served as a cerviche. We also had a dozen oysters served on the half shell. Octopus was outstanding. My group all had something different. The kid had mac and cheese. This was a white cheddar sauce served over penne. My friend next to be had fish and chips. The portion was huge. He left a quarter of the fish and a handful of fries. He said it was outstanding. Cole slaw was so-so. I had the house chopped salad with shrimp added on. The shrimp were left tail on and seasoned well. It was a traditional salad. Plated well, A nice hard boiled egg...The cilantro lime dressing was nice. Great knife skills on the kitchen staff as everything was well cut....I rate it A-, it is what it is...a good salad .... My friend next to me had the pervian chicken. He said it was amazing. Very flavorful, moist, and fork/knife friendly. My next friend had baja chicken sandwich. Thought it was good. Enjoyed the hand cut fries. The final guest had the pan seared salmon. He raved about the sweet potato fries. We talked a little longer before leaving about 1 hr. and half after we first sat down . Total: 451.00 without tip. Great size portions, great view, and the food was good. A good solid A.

A beautiful place to sit on the water and enjoy a good meal or just drinks at the outdoor bar. From appetizer, soups, and salads to entrees lots to choose from. Enjoy special cocktails, and the 1 point i am not happy about is, although I do realize it is an outdoor bar, I wish they would serve drinks in glass and not plastic. However, overall, that is a small price to pay for the view and food.

You haven't had the best RI fritters of your life, unless you've had their crab fritters- unbelievable. My salmon was cooked perfectly, the wife loved her raviolis and the drinks were very creative= excellent. The water view from this place is so relaxing. We had upper patio seats and the noise wasn't loud at all. Can't wait to go back.

Grade A (90) The setting is amazing, right by the bay. Weather was amazing too so we were right next to the water. The food was very good, the fish & chips were the Best I've had. Large portion flaky Cod with a very light batter, just enough to make it crispy but not greasy, just amazing.

I have no idea how this place has only 4 stars, it deserves 10. My girlfriend and I loved this restaurant so much we went for dinner and the next afternoon, went for lunch. The food is absolutely delicious, the best we had in Newport and Bristol during our labor day weekend. Every dish had so many incredible flavors and was prepared to perfection. As a plus, the view right on the water is absolutely stunning. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

We sat at the bar. Great view. Awesome bartender, it was really busy at times, but he kept checking in on us, cleaned and kept us entertained. Fair pricing for the drinks and food. I had a Maitai, you might think you know it, but this was really good, the Lobster bisque, with loads of lobster and the Caesar salad with sesame tuna ahi. Delicious. And the view amazing.

Great restaurant which is newly remodeled. Inside and outside dining each with it's own bar. Waterview along side the bike path. Live entertainment as well. I will definitely be visiting in the near future for dinner again. Highly recommended. I added some new photos and their menu as of today (10/14/2021) This place is great. Such a wonderful dining experience.

I had great experience recently at the Beach House. From top to bottom it was excellent. The kitchen was great and on time. I enjoyed the variety of choices on the menu which Morgan our waitress assisted us with. She was fantastic! Polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Frequent patron, however, this time was by far the best.

This place was great. Went to dinner a few days ago and opted to sit out on the patio. Got a bit chilly and dark once the sun went down but they had plenty of outdoor heaters and lights. Menu pricing was very reasonable compared to similar restaurants in the area. Got the half chicken dinner and had more than enough food. Staff was friendly and offered great recommendations. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Stopped here for a birthday lunch for my boyfriend. Our waitress knew which options could be made gluten free. They usually have gluten free rolls but did not have them the day we went. The view of the water was amazing.

Nusrat Zahan

Loved the fried calamari. It was crispy in outside and soft inside. The sweet chili sauce complimented dish very well. The fish and chips were fresh and tasty. I will recommend the place to everyone. It has something for everyone. The view and staff service were great.

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful! The shrimp is definitely jumbo!!! I've had jumbo shrimp before but I never knew shrimp could be even larger, a true jumbo shrimp compared to the other places. The drinks were good as well. I loved the employees all very talkative and sweet! I personally am picky about seafood so certain things are hit or miss but I would not recommend the octopus it wasn't that great. According to my friends they said they've had better octopus elsewhere. Other than that I would definitely go again! The inside is set up like a beach house and makes me feel like I'm in florida again and I can't get over the outside dining area too it's such a cute vibe with lights and gorgeous view of the water.

Great place to hang out by the water in Bristol. Service is very good, and what we tried for the food was good. On a warm afternoon, the ocean breeze is very welcoming ... cool place. The outside bar is steps away from the bike path/ocean. I think they have a steel drum guy/band on Sunday afternoons (in summer)

Everyone was so nice and accommodating to us and our pup on our first visit to The Beach House yesterday. We sat on the patio with our dog, and despite the restaurant being busy, we received such impressive service that I felt compelled to give them a shout out here. Our server Makayla was fantastic, as was a nice chef whose name I didn’t catch, but he brought our dog something special from the kitchen. It was such a nice touch and really put the restaurant on a whole different level from all the rest. Our food was great and the view from the deck was pretty, too. We can’t wait to go back!

Fresh Ingredients Deliciously Prepared with a wonderful outdoor seaside dining experience. Hubby and I are very finicky diners and we very much enjoyed our late lunch experience. Our waitress was knowledgeable and pleasant. We ordered crab cakes and clam cakes for apps, both were enjoyed! I recommend their Spaghetti Western cocktail! Our entrees were the ahi tuna burrito, a ceasar salad and a margherita pizza. Everything was delish! One of the best ceasar dressings I've ever tasted. Looking forward to returning.

This place is a bit off the beaten path as far as restaurants in Bristol go, but it’s worth the extra 5 minute walk! We’ve eaten here roughly 10 times and always had great food and service. Because of this we decided to have our rehearsal “dinner” here (we had more of a cocktail hour) the night before our wedding. Eric and the staff were amazing. Although the event was outdoors, we had a quick rain shower and the staff quickly pivoted. They got everyone inside (~ 60 people) for 30 minutes and kept the food and drinks coming. When the rain cleared they quickly wiped down all the outdoor tables and seating so we could move back outside. We even caught a gorgeous sunset right on the water. Everyone commented on how great the food and drinks were. We never had to hunt any of the servers down as they were always within arms reach. Eric and the owner of the restaurant were very personable, wishing us the best on our honeymoon and giving us tips about Greece. We’ll be back all summer long!

Sat on the deck with a party of 7 on Aug 22nd. Atmosphere was awesome and the view was priceless. The calamari was prepared like nothing I ever had before. It was fried, not oily and had an amazing flavor along with tasty shredded vegetables and a sweet Thai chili sauce. Best I personally ever had. I would get this again. Also had the lobster salad roll. OUTSTANDING!!!!

We recently got married at the Bristol Harbor Inn and DeWolf Tavern and hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at The Beach House — and it was absolutely perfect. The dinner was phenomenal. The menu The Beach House team put together was outstanding, and the food exceeded everyone’s expectations. They reserved a private section at the back of the restaurant, which created such an intimate and comfortable setting for our group. After dinner, we seamlessly transitioned into a welcome drinks event in the same space. The staff handled everything flawlessly, making it so easy to bring all of our guests together to kick off the wedding weekend. Eric, the manager, was incredible to work with — attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend The Beach House to anyone planning a special event in Bristol.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here - hors d’œuvres and drinks in a private room. Everyone loved it. Lots of food and quality wine/cocktail options, and the service was excellent. The private room is elegant and the views are beautiful. Highly recommend!

We moved up to RI at the beginning of September. We searched for a restaurant with good food and the New England atmosphere we heard so much about. We found it in Bristol and decided to drop for lunch at "The Beach". My wife had the fish and chips and I went for the brew nachos. We were seated inside near the window overlooking the bay and the sailboats. It was perfect and delivered the New England atmosphere we were looking for.

Stunning waterfront view, nice patio seatings and bar with clever plant arrangements. Very much enjoyed relaxing lunch, our server was very attentive , although kitchen was a bit slow. They have ice cream store downstairs as well. -Be true to your school $10 interesting mocktail with mango , Thai basil, pineapple, coconut lime -chicken tenders $17 in buffalo candied bacon dry rub -Baja chicken sandwich $19 Perfectly grilled chicken with Pico de Gallo, mozzarella avocado, smoked tomato, onion aioli -Rustic Flatbread Spicy sausage and eggplant $17, mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, basil. Mozzarella was very fresh and creamy and tasty, but dough was too chewy. Think this place will become one of my favorites!

This was our first time at The Beach House. The outdoor seating view is very nice with ample free parking. We were greeted by two lovely ladies who address us properly and sat us at a good location. Our waitress was prompt and courteous giving us all the time we desired. My guess an I had allot to discuss which lead us to having cocktails only during our visit. We arrived at 6pm and left at 10:30pm. We had an enjoyable time with great views and no pressure to order a meal or requiring us to give up the table for dinner guests. The only one small issue I would like recommend is they reduce their price to a more convenient cost so Elders and others on a limited budget can experience this location.

Our first visit. Beautiful location and view during sunset! Sat outside on the patio with a musician playing. The oysters and flatbread were great. Cocktails were sub-par, the mudslide was not frozen enough, and one of the tequila specialty cocktails seemed watered down. Salads were great, but the protein/steak on mine was overcooked. Friendly service!

S
Steve Liechty

I ate here this evening and really enjoyed it! It’s right on the water with great views of the sunset. The atmosphere and service were great. The blue crab fritters and calamari were amazing. For entrees, we got the surf and turf burger and flat bread. They were a nice idea, but weren’t prepared well. Overall, I’d give them a solid 4.5, will be back.

The beach house (the old topsider) is now a beautiful restaurant with a full menu. From appetizers, main course, to desserts. We use to come down every weekend years ago, the food was always amazing and the atmosphere was breathtaking. Now even more beautiful.

R

Water views and sunset are beautiful. Servers are very attentive. Outdoor seating is literally 100 ft. from the water. Lobster rolls are overstuffed and delicious. Seared Scollops are huge U8's perfectly done. Recomend the White Sangria.

P

We have been here a few times. Service and atmosphere is wonderful. The first time there the food was also amazing. The last time our meat was very overcooked, but this feels like an exception not the norm. I was hungry and just ate it. It was still good. Their cocktails are unique and inspired. They blend with the season and atmosphere well. The view... Is priceless.

K
Kira Brunke

The food was good for the atmosphere... but $300 for 5 people for one meal is a bit *uhm* much. Would be a great place for a rehearsal dinner or a proposal or something but not for a Friday night out with the kids. Beautiful atmosphere though! Right on the water!

We've been here many times, almost exclusively outdoors -- during the summer, it's a great waterfront location. Well run and the service & food are consistently good. However, I do wish they offered a couple plant-based options aside from the one salad that's vegan... it's 2025 in East Bay RI, so there should be enough of a market for it. Here's hoping. ;-)

J
Jim Shea

Very nice place on the water in Bristol RI overlooking Narragansett Bay. Outside patios made for an enjoyable lunch. I had NY strip sirloin, wife had flatbread. Both were excellent. Service was also quite good.

P
Pamela

We sat at the bar. Very pleasant bartender. My friend ordered fish and chips which he was very satisfied with; good portion, flavorful flakey fish with a light, crispy coating. Fries were also tasty. I ordered the warm roasted vegetables dish. Very enjoyable, I love veggies, but unfortunately it lacked seasoning. My biggest gripe is with the cost of our cocktails, Dewars & water and a Bombay & tonic. $17.00 each! Way overpriced. This is Bristol not Boston. We would return for the food but 4 drinks added $68.00 to our bill.

G
Gabriella D.

To start out positive, the oysters and crab cakes (not pictured) were delicious! The chowder was alright, and the birria tacos were good. The seafood tagliatelle was the best dish our party ordered. The surf and turf, as well as the harbor burger, were very overcooked. More than that, the food was oily. The scallops were fine, but the rice was too buttery— and a good culinary standard is to always plate odd numbers (strange that it was 4 scallops instead of 5). The surf and turf also had this huge pile of garlic “butter” that was overly powerful on the palette. For the prices of our food, it was underwhelming. I gave the service three stars because our waitress was very nice, staff continued to take plates off the table, etc.. The problem is that we spent most of our meal hoping to order more water and our waitress only came to drop off food and give us the bill.

R
Richard Cancio

Great spot! The view from the outside bar is beautiful. Food was slightly disappointing, especially for the price point. Salad was soggy, tuna was over cooked. The surf and turf burger looked NOTHING like the picture on their menus. But the drinks were great!

A
Angela Paiva

First time at this restaurant, as a local here and I was disappointed that my experience was not good. I asked for outside seating couldn't get it even though there was a plenty of seats left at time. My appetizer was the only thing that was good. Then my steak I asked for medium I got well done 2 times I gave up I did not eat it I packed it to go. I was not happy at all. You can't tell by the picture I tried to get better view but it was mostly well done.( Zoom in!!)

K

Beautiful views with good food but our service was terrible and they over charged us for one of our meals. This was the first day the outdoor area was open and it was busy, however, it took at least 30 minutes in between our appetizer (calamari which was good) and our meals. When our food was delivered 2 out of 4 meals came and it was 7 minutes before our other meals came. My husband ordered the steak bomb which was listed on the menu for $20 and did “upgrade” to sweet potato fries which is an additional $3. We were charged $27. When I questioned our server she said it was because of the fries. We did not have a menu to refer back to and it was not until we were on our way home and looked up the menu online that we realized we were correct that we were over charged. The steak pieces were too large to bite and over cooked which added insult to injury being that was the meal we were over charged for. The quinoa salad was very good but the food just wasn’t enough to make up for the poor service.

k
katerin lopez

The restaurant is really beautiful but the food is terrible. I ordered nachos and the pool pork was like a mashed pork with a weird taste, my daughter ask for tender and fries , the renders were almost burned and the fries were so cold that we had to ask for another other. Even the server was embarrassed for how bad the fried looked the only plate that was ok was my husbands that was the brow sugar glazed salmon Server did say it was a new menu but definitely paying so much we shouldn’t be tasting new menus.
