Opinions de Cafe Istanbul Broadmoor
Amazing Turkish restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors. The kebabs were juicy, the bread was fresh, and everything was well presented. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast. The atmosphere was cozy and clean. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Turkish cuisine. I will definitely come back again
After trying it a few weeks ago, I took my wife here for a late lunch. She a tough cookie and was blown away by the flavor and the service. Rice is like mom makes, delicious by itself. Hummus is the best I’ve ever had. Adana kebabs are savory and delicious. We are picky about our Turkish food and this place checks all the boxes. Chapeau! Harika lezzet. Temiz modern keyifli. Highly recommended! Note: Adana plate comes with one skewer. I’m on a high protein diet so I paid for an extra skewer.
The food was fantastic and the staff running the front of the house was just as great! We had a lamb gyro, a lamb and beef gyro plate, and fresh made baklava. Highly recommend!
This is my go to place whenever I’m in this area. Everything I tried from the menu is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great.
My friend and I stopped by for a quick dinner before dropping him off at the airport. Great location for that purpose, two minutes off 101 with plenty of parking options. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, including the bathroom. They have a good selection of tasty food for people with dietary restrictions. They are also helpful when it comes to substituting items. The server lady was very kind and chatty, which is always nice. I had the appetizer combo plate that was amazing - the falafel was extraordinary! My friend had a meat wrap and he loved it so much. It was a very satisfying and fulfilling dinner, we left with a smile. :) Oh, and the service was fast- which is important when you are about to catch your flight. :) Thank you so much!
Amazing experience at this wonderful family-owned Turkish restaurant! The food is clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious—every dish we tried was full of authentic flavors. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. But what really stood out was the kindness and warmth of the staff. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you're satisfied with your meal. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. Definitely a five-star experience!
I came here on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad I did — what a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious. The Köfte tasted just like homemade ones, and that alone earned a full score from me. This was definitely an experience I’ll be repeating!
Food is so delicious and freshly made here! We ordered Appetizer Combo plate, Lam & Beef Gyro plate, Adana Kebab and White Bean Ragu (Kuru fasülye pilav) Very clean restaurant with friendly service.
This restaurant is close to the Milbrae Caltrain and Bart stations and the San Francisco International airport. It's an excellent choice for having food when dropping or waiting to pick up someone at the airport. The food is fresh and delicious There are good vegetarian choices.
This was under Hot and New on Yelp, and it is a great find. Everything from the baba ganoush to the kebab plate to the chicken adana to the decadent profiteroles was top notch: fresh, healthy and delicious. They even had jasmine green iced tea. The owner was warm and welcoming. And the service was perfect. We sat outside due to our dog, and it went perfectly. Can’t wait to try it again with our family and friends.
The kofte plate was delicious. The meat was ridiculously well seasoned and was perfectly complemented by the salad. I asked for double salad and no rice and they truly delivered! So yummy, healthy, and filling. Didn’t leave a crumb!
This wonderful restaurant saved my life (figuratively not literally). I flew into SanFrancisco on a morning flight from Pittsburgh fueled only by a really thin coconut almond smoothie on the plane. As soon as I landed I had to go into a meeting. When I finally got to my hotel mid afternoon I realized I had inadvertently booked a “trendy Marriott” near the airport that apparently has a clientele that gets by without real food (think protein bars and something called alcohol ice cream.) I was starving, hangry and almost succumbed to Doritos or its equivalent. Then the front desk said there might be a vegetarian-ish restaurant a short walk away. That walk meant crossing the overpass to the freeway-twice. This is not an area where any sane person walks. And then I found it-CafeIstanbul 360. It’s a little gem of a restaurant with a family vibe and fabulous food! My red lentil soup was spicy and divine. The couscous salad was big enough to feed three. There were lots of vegetarian and gluten free choices as well as carnivore options. There was even salmon. Lots of variety. The only thing missing for me was a glass of wine. The food was also served on lovely plates. Eating here restored my sanity. Thank you also to the gal who took my order. I think was she was one of the owners. Bottom line: really good food in an unpretentious setting. So if you are staying at an airport hotel, check it out. It’s a gem.
Our first experience with Café Istanbul was when I ordered food for a company gathering, and everyone absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious, and there was more than enough for the number of people I ordered for. Since then, we’ve continued to order again and again (even for groups of 50+ people), and every single time the food arrives on time, with excellent quality, amazing service, and the same delicious taste. Highly recommended!
Nice atmosphere, absolutely delicious food!! Best Tzatziki we ever had. Chicken kabob was well cooked, yet it was juicy and tasteful. Will highly recommend.
I just had the best döner I’ve eaten in San Francisco! 🤤🔥 If you’re anywhere nearby, I highly recommend trying it. The flavor was amazing, the meat was perfectly cooked, and everything was super fresh. Definitely one of the best döner spots in the city. Don’t miss it
The lamb/beef gyro (doner) meat was very good and tasted authentic. We had both the plate and a wrap. The salad on the plate was simple but the dressing was very tasty. I enjoyed all the food I had here, except the hummus which was a little old. Portions were very good and were commensurate with the price. They also sell authentic Turkish drinks like ayran (yogurt drink) and Uludag-brand mineral water. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.
We had very delicious food and really and enjoyed this family owned cafe. The food was amazing all around. We had the lamb and gyro plate and everything was so fresh. The pita bread was also very crispy and soft in the middle. The chocolate cake was really tasty and the perfect dessert with tea. The cafe is also very clean and well kept along with friendly service. We plan on coming more often!!
Amazing food. They gave us lots of samples and basically let us try the entire menu before ordering! The staff were very helpful and kind. Definitely will be coming back!
Love this place! Best feta cheese I’ve ever had. The breakfast spread is so good. Can’t wait to try other dishes.
Just love coming by this place. Owner is so generous and loves to share about the food to make sure I get to eat something delicious that’s exactly what I’m looking for. The breakfast plates are so yummy! And they cater. I almost want to host an event just so they can cater it. Definitely come visit!
I ordered the Sucuk & Eggs, which was tasty enough that it didn’t need any sauce to be added. There is a beef sausage that is served with the eggs, along with a baguette, which you can make a mini sandwich out of. I ordered the Turkish Coffee Service, in which they serve espresso, a Turkish delight (Rose Flavor), and water for palette cleansing. The espresso has a dark chocolate taste at its core so if you like dark blends, this is the spot for you. The Rose flavored Turkish delight was smooth and chewy, but not to the point where it sticks to your teeth. Very good for only $0.75 more! And of course, you have to get the Baklava’s!
Cannot say enough great things about Istanbul Café and Bakery! We were immediately greeted and given a rundown of each food case and the menu with even a few offered samples to help us make our choices. The portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the quality and freshness of their pastries is incredible. HIGHLY recommend the tahini çorek. We will be back, these women run a beautiful establishment!
Cute little bakery and sandwich shop! We loved the baklava and doner sandwich / wrap. the staff were very kind and the quality and quantity for price was great. We'll be back!
Istanbul has some of the best coffee and baklava around town. The people there are always so nice and when my father was getting ready to go to Istanbul on a trip, they gave him all kinds of good ideas and were very welcoming. They have a warm atmosphere and the food is on it
This small gem is totally awesome! In a world filled with mass market chain, restaurants repeating the same thing over and over, here you will find love and kindness in all their homemade goods. Traditional Turkish coffee and Turkish meals among other delights are all incredible and you should definitely come here to eat breakfast or lunch. It's definitely worth the trip.
I'm giving this place 5-stars for the service alone. It was my first time here and the wonderful lady working the counter gave me a tour of everything they offered including samples of some items. I overheard the gentleman, who I assumed was the owner/GM, speaking with a guest and he was so pleasant and polite. It put such a stupid smile on my face to watch all of them interact. I got the Turkish coffee service and a pistachio baklava and both were great.
This place deserves the high rating it has. It's so lovely! The lady behind the counter gave us all kinds of samples to try and explained all the food to us. We had the börek and a doner baguette (the bread was amazing!) as well as some pastries and Turkish coffee. Get the "service." Its such a fun little fancy treat for less and $1 extra. I want to come back again and again! Highly recommend!
Best baklava I've ever had. This restaraunt is so traditional Turkiye! From the cute tea cups, decor, and especially the perfectly fluffy poffins and flavorful lattes! The Rose latte isn't too sugary and you can definitely distinguish the rose flavor; it's a very authentic café. The olive poffin (in photo) was so fresh and tasty!
Really good food. Eggs are always fluffy and their Sucuk (flavorful Turkish sausage) is fresh and great on a sandwich. Great for breakfast, and it’s a nice clean atmosphere to read or do homework. Really nice staff that allow you to try things you haven’t yet. Their pastries are better than the other Turkish places nearby too (Sarma is my favorite).
I can see why they have a high rating. Super friendly staff. Explained to us many of the food options as well as let me try a sample of the baklava. Super clean place as well. Nice portions. Their food is gives off the “home cooking” vibe! Excellent. Only bad thing is I don’t live in Colorado so I’ll miss this place :(
I had an unforgettable Turkish breakfast at Istanbul Café in Denver, and I can recommend this place everyone. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality by the owner Soner Bey and his amazing team. The space is warm, cozy, and filled with authentic touches that make you feel like you’ve stepped right into Istanbul. The Turkish breakfast spread was incredible—cheeses, olives, chocolate cream, honey, clotted cream, sucuk with eggs, simit, börek, and more. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The börek was flaky and savory, the simit was just the right texture, and the sucuk eggs were packed with flavor. And let’s not forget the Turkish tea, which was brewed perfectly and served just like in Turkey—strong, aromatic, and soul-warming. What really made this place stand out was the exceptional service. Soner Bey personally made sure everything was perfect, and you can feel his passion for food and hospitality in every part of the experience. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the entire visit feel like a meal at a friend’s home. If you’re looking for authentic Turkish cuisine, or just want to try something different for breakfast or brunch in Denver, Istanbul Café is a hidden gem. I’ll absolutely be back soon—and next time, I’m bringing friends and family to share the experience.
The food is delicious and the service is awesome. They gave us a bunch of free samples before we ordered and the food was just awesome. The portion sizes are normal, not too big. The people working here are very nice. This place filled up very quickly at lunchtime and the people working here are hustling fast to get everyone's orders out on time. We loved it here and would absolutely come back. Parking is free - there's a lot outside. There is indoor seating, but no outdoor seating right now (February).
Can’t wait to come back, and to tell all of our friends that this spot is a must go! The food is made with love — flavorful, intentional, and fresh. The baguettes are so soft and the selection is big! Recommend trying a bunch of different things and sharing with a partner or group, because everything is delicious.
The two associates working today were so friendly and helpful when I came in for the first time to order some Borek. At home I reviewed the menu on their website. the choices they offer for Baklava and other Turkish pastries is beyond belief! I knew I needed to see everything to know which ones I wanted to take home. Harran offered me a taste to anything I had never seen or eaten before.
If you like baklava but never been able to find a good one! Take a few minutes and drive down to Istanbul cafe. Best Baklava I have ever tasted in the States. The cafe was very clean, and the stuff is very friendly, and make you feel like you're home. They offered many samples, and their selection was excellent. I have been there twice already, and both times I was thrilled with everything I've tasted and saw about Istanbul Cafe. Also, Their Turkish breakfast plate is excellent. I'll be back for more deliciousness.
Kinda bland and the salad was just lettuce. No flavor in the hummus. The chicken and rice is good for picky eaters who don’t like spice and like plain food. Really was hoping it was better. It was empty and the places surrounding were so busy but I had already place my order on uber eats. They said on app it was ready but it took 10min more after that. Place has so much more potential.
The shawarma I ordered was honestly quite dry, even with a drink. The bread was also a little burnt in some area which threw the taste off a bit. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s meant to be or just my luck. And the fries were the worst maybe I’ve ever had, extremely brittle and dry, they snap in half like a twig and have no taste. The food is halal though so that’s a plus.
My family and I had a terrible experience at this Turkish restaurant. The lady there, whether owner, server, or cashier was unbelievably rude and provided zero customer service. On top of that, the food was not fresh and honestly awful. We ordered plater and lamb gyro Overall a horrible experience. My kids did not like the food as well. I do not recommend this place to anyone. just don’t go!!!!!!
