Opinions de Pye Boat Noodle Broadway
My second time coming back to Pye Boat noodle The food is delicious and fresh. I absolutely love this special menu KwayTeow Kake noodle. The staffs are friendly and welcoming too. Definitely a place I’ll come back to whenever I’m craving noodles—highly recommend!
Went to Pye Boat Noodles in Broadway, Queens and everything was outstanding. The chive/scallion pancakes were an easy 100/10 — crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The Pad Gra Prow was absolutely perfect with bold, well-balanced seasoning, and the Pad See Ew was rich, savory, and cooked just right. Every dish hit. If you’re in Astoria and love Thai food, this spot is a must. Can’t wait to come back.
Pye Boat Noodle Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Pye Boat Noodle is one of those places where the wait feels less like an inconvenience and more like a quiet reassurance that something good is coming. And it is. What you’re rewarded with is Thai comfort food that’s confident, deeply satisfying, and absolutely worth your time. The beef boat noodle soup is the clear standout. Its dark, aromatic broth carries a gentle sweetness balanced by rich, savory depth—comforting, soulful, and endlessly slurpable. Each bowl feels thoughtfully composed, the kind of dish that stays with you long after the table is cleared. Don’t skip the crispy chive pancakes. Golden and crackling at the edges, tender within, they offer a perfect contrast to the richness of the noodles. Savory, fragrant, and addictive, they’re the kind of side that quickly becomes essential rather than optional. Prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially for food this satisfying, and the service is genuinely warm—friendly, efficient, and unpretentious even during busy hours. There’s a natural rhythm to the place that makes everything feel easy once you’re seated. Pye Boat Noodle doesn’t rely on trends or spectacle. It delivers honest Thai flavors, executed with care and consistency. Worth the wait, worth the return visit, and unquestionably deserving of five stars.
Pye Boat Noodle is a great spot to try Thai boat noodles 🍜🇹🇭. The beef boat noodle broth here is quite good, especially for those who enjoy a slightly sweet flavor 😋. The Pad See Ew is decent and flavorful, though it’s a bit on the dry side 🍝. Prices are reasonable, and the service is really nice, friendly, and efficient 👍✨. Overall, a good place for a casual meal with solid food, fair pricing, and good service 😊
Pye Boat Noodle in Astoria is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets, and then some. I ordered the Kway Teow Kake Shrimp, and it was phenomenal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce had just the right balance of spice and depth, and the shrimp were fresh, plump, and full of flavor. Every bite was rich, comforting, and beautifully layered with that authentic Thai taste that’s so hard to find. The staff were warm and attentive, the space has a cozy, vibrant energy, and the food came out quickly, but clearly with care.
Came here with a group of 5 people and the food and service were very good. We had some appetizers that were normal in their taste but my main plate was very good: beef pad thai. The service was superb and the atmosphere excellent . I had a Thai beer which was a good accompaniment. I will definitely comeback here again 👍.
This was my first time visiting this place and I loved the food,I believe you get what you pay for, sized portion and flavor speaking. This place had an amazing fried rice and the other two dishes we ordered with my friend were delightful too! I also ordered the gin gin mule, which was good too!
Delicious First time trying pork boat noodle , delicious Specially you can adjust the taste ( spiciness, sourness, n saltiness ) yourself. Very nice ambience too Very nice service as well , the lady really very helpful. Feels very good here n of course the food becomes extra delicious because of these Definitely will come back again
I absolutely love this restaurant! It's become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving the authentic tastes of home. This place truly stands out, not just for its amazing food, but for its unique atmosphere. I am a huge fan of their Boat Noodles (Kuay Teow Reua). This restaurant does an amazing job of capturing the true essence of my country's cuisine. Every time I eat here, it reminds me of home. I will definitely be back again and again. This is a little restaurant that I will keep coming back to!
Pye Boat is a beloved favorite in Astoria. They are a fun hawker take on Thai food, so their menu is a bit off the beaten path of what you would find at most Thai restaurants. Hawker-style has a market stall, street food feel and their interior is decorated to match the vibe too. They specialize in boat noodles bowls in aromatic broths, topped with meat and veggies. I can only speak on behalf of the vegetarian items there and there is a decent selection for vegetarians, lots of wok noodles and noodle soups that can be made with tofu, seitan, and veggies. There are a handful of vegetarian appetizers too. However, I will say their vegetarian options, while hearty, may not have as strong of a flavor pallet as the meat items—I’d recommend this place more for meat eaters. I’m a big fan of their wok noodles and papaya salad! Definitely give it a try if you’re in Astoria!
I went with a group to Pye boat noodle and it was a very good experience. The decor and vibe of the place felt tropical and cool. There is a large outdoor seating space in the back which is a great feature. We ordered a variety of entrees and all were delicious. Staff very friendly and service was fast. Pricing was very reasonable considering the quality and serving sizes.
One of the most authentic Thai food I've had in America! I used to live in Malaysia and visited Thailand frequently, so my standards are quite high when it comes to Thai food. I loved the pad see ew and the boat noodles. They were full and rich with flavor without being too salty. The chicken wings were extremely crispy and flavorful. Meatballs were great too! All the staff is Thai and very friendly. The decor was super cute with Thai movie posters and decorations. We didn't have to wait on Valentines Day evening so I'd guess there isn't usually a wait. I can't wait to come back again!
Honestly, hands down one of the best authentic Thai noodle places I've ever been to. I've been here twice and can't stop thinking about this place! Last time, we got the Sukhothai Noodles and the Tom Yum Bolarn Noodles (both with boat noodles) and some Chive Pancakes and Salted Wings to share. Their Sukhothai Noodles is HIGHLY recommended - tastes absolutely heavenly and perfect for hangovers as well. I love how they give you multiple sauces/seasonings for the noodles so you can try everything and pick out what you like the best. The staff is incredibly friendly and they have a really cute outdoor space in the back too. I feel like a lot of mediocre reviews of this place come from not really understanding the dishes. This place is authentic Thai and if you are not an adventurous eater/can't handle authentic dishes, order something else. Just because it's authentic and you can't handle it, doesn't mean the food is bad.
Pye Boat is a really great place. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming, and the servers are genuinely attentive and caring. They always greet me warmly, which makes every visit feel special. Most importantly, the food is really good and consistently satisfying. Everything I’ve tried has been well prepared and flavorful. Highly recommend this spot. Everyone should come check it out.
Came to check this place out from a friend’s recommendation. I was being adventurous and tried the boat noodle with beef in blood soup and thought it was average (added some vinegar to make it taste better), not a fan of the taste. Good to try once but probably won’t be back. Definitely interesting and something I haven’t tried before. Chive pancake was good, thai tea was just ok too. Not too impressed with the meal. Friendly staff and they have seating outside in the back. Maybe try something different for a better experience.
I ordered take out from here for myself and got charged well over $20 for my meal. Only for there to be about 6 tablespoons of curry and 4 shrimp in the box. This is absolutely ridiculous. I proceeded to call the establishment once I opened this, and nobody was picking up the phone nor did they have a voicemail. I am incredibly disappointed at the service. And do not recommend coming here
Terrible service by the male server. They barely speak English. The wings are just the bone with the fried skin. The video talks by itself. The food was not fresh only the soup. Very expensive for the quality of the food and the service they provide. Not recommended at all avoid this place. Better Thai food in Queens for half of the price
