This was our first time dining here and the service was phenomenal! It was a very special occasion (our wedding day). We didn't know what to expect but as soon as we entered the building we were greeted and received happy wedding day wishes from the staff at the front of the house. Amazing feeling, then we were seated and blessed with a beautiful card full of wedding day wishes from the staff! This was another plus. The waitstaff were very courteous and attentive, the food and recommendations were great! The atmosphere was very inviting and we received some wedding day freebies that made us feel extra special. The staff even took photos for us as we had our first champagne toast as husband and wife. This will be our anniversary dinner spot for the rest of our lives. Thank you Mr. B's for making our wedding day extra special! Simply the icing on the cake!

We went to Mr. B’s Bartolotta Steakhouse in Brookfield to celebrate my retirement. Jacki and Jessica our servers were excellent. They were very friendly and accommodating. They explained everything about the menu to us and answered all our questions. The atmosphere there was so nice and the food was excellent-my wife and I shared the 44 oz. Porterhouse which was prepared perfectly. They evening surprised us with a glass of champagne and a delicious dessert for my retirement. Bartolotta’s great service and excellent food made it a very special night for us. We will be back again!

Went to dinner here and was not disappointed. Went to the bar for a drink prior to eating, small bar but quaint, good drinks. Dinner was fantastic, the bacon appetizer was delicious, wedge salad, and the 12 Oz Filet come with a potato, top it off with a side of green beans big enough for 2. Food was cooked perfectly, the timing wasn't rushed as it came out and the service was on top of it. I had a reservation, I would recommend the same, the girls at the desk did a great job of keeping things timely! If you have the chance get in to Mr. B's you won't regret it.

Overall our dining experience was good. No problems and no complaints. Our meals were hot and tasty. The dessert was good. We will be back.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a night out at Mr. B’s patio and it was a great experience. We both enjoyed a cocktail (Tequila Old Fashion - delicious!), appetizer (crab cake), filets, and desserts. No complaints! The atmosphere was just perfect!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We were greeted and seated right away. The staff was very accommodating. I tried the Italian soda. It was so good! We had the meatball appetizer and each had filets. My husband had a lobster tail with his. The food was prepared to perfection. They brought us a special anniversary desert once we finished our dinners. We were both stuffed when we left.

We were just here at Mr B's Steakhouse for a Sunday Dinner, for my husband's BDay! Fantastic Service, Food and Festive, Celebration Atmosphere!

In my experience, you can't go wrong when you choose a Bartolotta restaurant, and this place is no exception. Beautiful interior with warm lighting creates a cozy and elegant experience. The two servers assigned to our table of 8 were friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and quick. Then there's the food, which was absolutely amazing. My husband ordered three appetizers as his meal, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was very rich and flavorful with a nice crunch on top, although the lobster pieces were on the smaller side and not overwhelming in number. The Wagyu Meatballs were not as tender or juicy as expected, but were delicious. The nicely sized dollop of ricotta on top was a nice touch. I had the Califlower Steak, which was a first for me. It. Was. Fantastic! The califlower was cut thick and roasted to perfection, creating a wonderfully firm yet tender texture. The accompanying flavors and textures made this dish smell and taste amazing. This is a beautiful option for those who prefer a meatless option or are looking to try something new.

Excellent steak dinners & great service makes an evening at Mr. B’s special. We loved their rolls served for dinner bread service. Our steak dinners were cooked exactly as ordered. All sides are ordered family style. The atmosphere is somewhat casual but the attention to details brings the whole experience up a notch for a delightful dining experience.

Make a stop at the bar upon arrival to get great recommendations from the bartenders with a great conversation. The whole experience is nothing short of fine dining. The staff is top-notch, food of high quality and well prepared. I did have an issue with my combo (Filet and salmon) as my salmon was very overcooked and had a crunch on the end.. I didn't say anything, because everything else was so great. I wish I had the full experience in this dish but what a classy place!

I have been coming to Mr B for 10 years, as always, they always deliver. Service has always been excellent, atmosphere no different. Seating is great, it doesn't feel creases crowded. And then food, food is one the best you can have in Milwaukee area. This last time we ordered fried calamari, tomahawk steak for 2, ribeye, lobster mac&cheese.

I was given this restaurant as a recommendation for a steakhouse. After being seated and hearing about the wood fired cooking process, a steak was a must. The tenderloin and restaurant lived up to the recommendation. Our service was phenomenal. The wine selection was excellent and the drink menu checked the boxes. Just an all around great experience. I can't wait to eat here again!

Mr. B’s is a top-notch steakhouse that’s been a favorite of our family for years. The green-checkered tablecloths and cozy atmosphere create the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Their wood-fired steaks are always cooked to perfection, with a great crust and tender inside. The seafood is just as good, and you have to try the surf and turf. They have an extensive wine list, and the staff always knows what to recommend. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Ideal for special occasions or a night out with friends who love a good steak.

I haven't been here since 2016 and last time was for work. This time my husband took me for my birthday dinner. We made online reservations and arrived 15 early and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress Brenna was super. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The appetizer was good but dinner was better. Steak and scallops, steak cooked perfect to my request, my husband had a different steak and his was cooked perfect too. Twice baked potato, peppers as a side were also very tasty. The fruit sorbet was delivered as a birthday treat and our sweet tooth craving was satisfied. Though, it was smart of Brenna to suggest taking flourless chocolate cake home....it hit the spot later. The wine, red blend, was good. I would like to try some other dishes another time.

Everything about our experience was excellent! We had a drink at the bar first and the bartender was friendly and she did a good pour! Our waitress, Madalyn, was professional, friendly and very attentive. We had the calamari appetizer which was some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the classic surf and turf and my husband had the horseradish crusted aged ribeye. Both were superb. The peach bread pudding dessert was also wonderful. The ambiance was great especially since we were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening there!

Our 44th anniversary. We were treated like family! Food was awesome, the service was top notch. The atmosphere is as usual! Perfect,. Thank you Bartolotta’s family, for a wonderful anniversary dinner.

Mr. B's brings New York City level of service to Milwaukee. The service is world class, the menu is fantastic, and the ambience is amazing. You don't feel crammed in if you are sitting inside, and if the weather is nice and you're on the patio, you are treated to a vibrant open-air setting with a real traditional wood burning stove in the courtyard. We were lucky enough to be there when they had live music playing by a local artist, which was perfect. The music was loud enough to be heard without overcoming table conversation. Our server Jackie was outstanding! Our meal was fantastic, and very fairly priced given the quality of the restaurant and dishes. We will be returning whenever we are in the Milwaukee area!

If you’re deciding between Mr. B’s and one of the many chain steakhouses in the Milwaukee area, please consider your decision made. Mr. B’s blows the others out of the water. Our party was thoroughly impressed with the service, atmosphere, and food. I’m generally not a big steak lover, but the ribeye was the best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor was outstanding. The haystack onion rings and flourless chocolate cake were also standouts on the menu. We were celebrating a birthday and the handwritten card and complimentary dessert were a much appreciated thoughtful touch. We don’t go out of our way for fine dining often, but I can’t wait to make Mr. B’s one of our regular spots for special occasions. It’s worth every penny.

This was a fabulous lunch time visit. Normally they are not open for lunch but have a holiday special brunch time that we stumbled and on. Visiting from Madison have never gone to any of these restaurants. The wait staff was extremely friendly and kind. The food we had was of top quality. The French onion soup was the best I have ever had. The salad that came with my meal was all high quality greens and vegetables. My husband raved about his steak. An absolutely dynamite meal we had. Also nice to note these were the cleanest bathrooms I have ever been in and they were very nice as well. I would give this an establishment a 10 out of 10

Best meal for a great 46th anniversary: filet and scallops on spinach, baked and pureed potatoes, side of asparagus, an anniversary card, prosecco, and a junket dessert from Mr B’s, & the best bread I’d ever had! Very expensive, everything cooked to perfection, wonderful service.

My wife and I went there for our first time and wow was it an experience! The decor and atmosphere feels very premium and welcoming. There were three waiters for our table so the service was amazing. The food was out of this world and definitely the best steak I've ever had. Cocktails were good, service attentive, and prices modest for the food that you get.

My wife and kids took me to Mr. B's for my birthday. Your staff made it a wonderful event. We had a great time and an absolutely delicious meal! The service was spectacular - the perfect blend of being friendly and attentive, with a genuine desire to make our night special! Thank you!

Bartalotta’s Steakhouse in Brookfield was a great experience! We went out on a Friday night early with another couple around 5:30 p.m. because we had not planned it until that day. The food was delicious and the service wonderful. Although food has gotten so much more expensive over the past few years, we enjoyed our evening out thoroughly! The staff was very efficient and polite and we had some delicious entrees. I had salmon, my husband and one of our friends had a delicious steak sandwich, and the fourth person ordered something they loved. We ate it all and enjoyed every bite and moment. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience with professional waiters and a qualified chef, this is your place. Many thanks to the staff at Mr. B’s Steakhouse in Brookfield!

Top notch steakhouse! The quality of the steaks were phenomenal. The service was 5 stars. There are lots of options for sides. Atmosphere is very classy with business casual attire. I think the price of steaks ranged from $50 to $80.

Star & our serving team went above and beyond to make our experience VERY special! Kudos to the entire executive chef & kitchen. From cocktail service to outstanding appetizers & entrees, we’re unable to identify a favorite. A table of 6 with 3 birthdays can’t always be easy to serve! Their execution & teamwork was flawless. Thank you, EVERYONE!

Came in for my bday. No expectations. Ordered the porterhouse for 2. Service was outstanding from the guy who sat us to the wait and support staff. Our waiter, Jeff, was amazing and personable and timely. The food was very good. We order two different potato dishes and shared the mushroom buttons. We were in a bit of a hurry and when we said we didn’t have time for dessert they quickly showed up with an adorable and tasty small treat and 2 glasses of champagne, took photos, and came with the bill (because we had told them we were running out of time). We didn’t ask for any of that and they made sure they got us on our way. 5 star experience. Would def recommend.

We were celebrating our 30 anniversary. Just 2 of us. Our server was very attentive and also the lady that helped our waiter. We had steaks the food was very good. We enjoyed our meal and want to try some of the other restaurants. The only thing I could complain about is they don't have diet white soda. I like soco old fashions with just some bitters and diet white soda. But the waiter said they don't have diet white soda.

My husband and I had dinner tonight at Mr. B’s Steakhouse, and it was absolutely delightful. We received outstanding service from Kelli and Arnold—they truly made our evening special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the filet steaks literally melted in our mouths. To top it all off, the crème brûlée was the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back again!

My husband & I were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and have to say....the staff there is incredible! We went to the bar before sat for dinner, Lucy waited on us...very nice. When we went to Host Stand greatly very friendly and they couldn't been more accommodating as my husband needs to sit in a high top chair. Our server Monse was great, professional, and fun. We never needed anything, she was continuously checking on us. Our meal.....was PERFECTION! She brought us a delicious anniversary dessert with a little bubbly 🍾! For us, Mr. B'S is the BEST Steakhouse around!!!!!! We will continue to visit them.

Jeff and Nancy were fantastic servers. They made sure that all of our meals were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the rare ribeye. The medium-rare ribeye, as well as the medium-rare filets were perfect. The atmosphere was perfect. We had a wonderful time. I didn't take pictures because we were in too busy Enjoying ourselves.

Mr. B's is a favorite restaurant for my sister-in-law and brother, so we gifted her a dinner at Mr. B's for her 70th Birthday - and we all loved our time together, celebrating at Mr. B's. Carissa, our Server, was personable and helpful. Her service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. And the food was simply delicious! We recommend the Filet Mignon, House Salad, Bartolotta's Caesar, Key Lime Tart, and Creme Brulee. The Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked; the House Salad and Bartolotta's Caesar were fresh and flavorful, and the desserts provided a sweet ending to our meal. Our dining experience at Mr. B's was not only enjoyable, but it also created wonderful memories. It was the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, and we couldn't have asked for a better time.

Enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary with our family on October 3rd. The waiter and staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They provided a private dining room and other little but wonderful celebratory items that truly made our evening special. The food was out of this world. Thank you Mr. B's for making this monumental anniversary so special. Mr. & Mrs. Hansen.

Friday, December 26th was my boyfriend’s parent’s 55th wedding anniversary and we wanted to take them to a wonderful restaurant for an experience, they wouldn’t forget. I visited Mr. B’s restaurant about three years ago and it was delicious with a warm atmosphere and a steak that I could practically cut with my fork. It was so tender and memorable that I wanted to share that experience with my future in-laws. A table of 5 was a little tight. The Mr. B’s old fashioned was a great start! The service on the other hand was impressive with several servers per table. They were all dressed in white coats, were very polite and cleared the table often. The 2 side salads with ranch dressing were delicious. The mushroom bisque was rich in flavor, BUT the actual mushrooms were hard. In the process of cutting the mushrooms (yes, cutting soup), the mushrooms flew all over my sweater and lap. One of the servers did help me clean up the mess etc. She also asked if I wanted a new soup at first I said no, because I hate waste. I then did agree and the mushrooms did come out a lot softer. Then my dad had the soup for his dinner and guess what the same thing happened. He really can’t eat hard things and these mushrooms were so hard that he had to push them all to the side. For the price of the soup, it was not worth it. Four of us had steaks, 1 was perfect, another was a different cut and also delicious, but the last 2 filets were hard on the outside and chewy. I had a hard time, even cutting it with the steak knife. The center of mine was perfectly done as medium rare. The sauce was a Bernaise, which I believe was one of five sauce choices. This was delicious and really added a complementary taste to the steak. Maybe that’s how the steak was supposed to be, but it was hard to eat. It wasn’t how 2 of us liked our steaks. I had Lobster with my steak and it was tender & delicious. My boyfriend had shrimp with his steak and it was also very good. My lobster and filet was $83 and my boyfriend‘s shrimp and fillet was also $83 besides the price of the side salads $15. I’m not really sure what the other meals cost or the bisque. We did not get dessert, but my boyfriend’s parents received a delicious custard with chocolate shavings on it with a cute little happy anniversary chocolate on top. That was amazing. I thought that was a very thoughtful addition to their anniversary dinner. Overall the dinner was not worth the $450+, but the $90 tip was definitely earned. Too say the least, I was embarrassed and sad about this experience. The worst part is they will remember their 55th anniversary dinner as a more expensive than elegant experience.

The last time we were at Mr B's was in the previous location. So it has been a while. The was a very good experience (but not over the top great, especially for the cost) Had reservations for 6:00 on a Saturday. The place was very busy. Got our table right away. Our servers got us settled in with waters, and our drinks. They did a great job to explain the menu and make some recommendations. The bread server was excellent. Warm, yeasty and with good crust. I was surprised by the butter. It was several tabs, that looked like they were thrown on to a plate. The food choices were excellent. I had the lobster tails, which were hot, firm, and had great flavor. The sauteed spinach was good. The pureed potatoes were just "okay". Not great flavor, and luke warm. The Rib Steak was very tender, and had a nice charge. It was ordered medium rare, but except for the very outer part, the inside was rare. We save room for dessert. The cream brulee was excellent. It was warm custard, and a nice caramelized shell on top. The Brandy Alexander was good, but a little over-blended. Here are suggestions. The server never came back after the entrees. We didn't require anything, but who knows. The butter would have been better if it were whipped and in a small dish. The meat could have been a bit more cooked. Do they check with thermometer? Overall a very good meal. However if I had to pick, I would choose their other restaurant Joey Gerards in Greendale. They offer many of the same food selections, their servers are top notch, and it's a much more relaxed atmosphere. Think Supper Club vs Steak House.

Good steaks, great service. Some items are on the salty side, dining room has tables super close together, you can clearly hear other tables conversations, and it is really, really dark. I saw two tables using the flashlight on phone to read menu 1.5 hours before sunset. However, it is the best place to go out and get a really good steak dinner. Been there before, will be back. If you think Flemming's is good, you'll love this place.

6:30 and they are out of the Porterhouse for 2. I specifically came there for that steak. It’s your signature steak - dead center of your menu. With a highlighted box around it. My NY strip was great. Bacon roasted potatoes and Brussels were great. I added mushroom and onions to my steak $10. I chuckled out loud when I saw what I got. A pile of onions and barely a sliver of mushrooms. I actually dissected my mushrooms. It literally was 1/2 a small mushroom cut into thin pieces. I paid $10 for .25 cents of product. I like mushrooms with my steak. Not at your restaurant I guess. Peppercorn sauce was excellent though . In the end we both had a nice $200 meal. Service was great. But at that price point people expect 0 disappointments.

We decided to take my son for a nice dinner on his birthday. I ordered a medium rare steak. When our food came out, our server named Kelly took a long time to come over and check if everything was cooked to our liking, so I ended up eating a kind of dry steak. The care she provided for us was poorly given. She was definitely giving all the attention to other people.

This was my first experience at Mr. B's and I did have high expectations for this meal. The Bartolotta name is well-known for quality food and service. The interior matches the exterior which to me is cozy and inviting while being hosted by a friendly staff. During the visit our waiter greeted us, went over the menu, and checked how our food was. Our butternut squash soup was the star of the meal as it's consistency was very nice and the roasted pepitas added a nice texture. After that there was quite a gap between our soup and entrée. Unfortunately when the entrée came out it was barely warm and had to be refired adding to the wait. The beef short rib was tender, but kind of uninspired and the brussel sprouts were pretty raw. We had a pair of good desserts, but then to close we waited 20 minutes after our cards were given the the waiter because they charged me for a $340 bill that wasn't mine. Oh and I was never offered a refill on my drink during the whole dinner. While It wasn't a horrible experience and it may have been an off night, but it did leave much to be desired.

Great service our waitress and her helper where top notch. The price of this place is wild. I dont want to see people in hooded sweatshirts and knit hats. A dress code needs to go in place when im spending this much. Food was great but overpriced in my opinion.

R
Ryan L

The food isn't quite it for me but we come to Mr B's when a family member wants to enjoy a steakhouse experience, and Mr B's has a solid experience. The steaks were cooked to temp and the meat quality was good (not great) but liking the sauce really makes the steak appealing and sets it apart. The lobster mac was very buttery to complement the lobster though it washed out the cheese. The chicken dark meat was buttery and white meat was dry, their au jus was a rosemary stew. The broccolini, sauteed mushrooms and onions were all cooked until they sweat and get a little color but aren't caramelized.

B
Brenda Albrecht

Service and atmosphere was mediocre. We were ushered to a small table in the back corner while we walked past empty table after empty table. Once seated, our main server talked so fast it was hard to hear her each time. Not sure if there were any specials that evening as we were never told about them. Our server never checked on us after our meal was delivered. She returned only to ask if we wanted to see the dessert menu, which we had to again ask if she could repeat herself as we couldn't understand her. There are plenty of other steak places that offer much better service for the price of the food. We will visit them vs. Mr. B's.

Came in at 8:15.. Sat night. sat at bar.. place was dirty.. from toast printer to floors and corners, using condiment tray with no gloves, .. not a great start. Steps of service from bar staff were lacking.. Food is uninspired 90s steakhouse with 2026 pricing.. would rather have driven to Chicago and had a way better experience and food for not much more..

My husband and I have been dining at Mr. B's off and on for at least 15 years. We would alternate between the Mequon and Brookfield locations. We always found the staff and service, along with the food, to be of exceptional quality. With the staff’s great attention to detail, we always felt like valued customers. It had been some time that we had dined at the Brookfield location, or any other place for that matter, and our expectations were high. We were greatly disappointed when we had dinner celebrating my 68th year birthday last Sunday evening. We were so disappointed in fact that I felt compelled to write my first ever review. We are not picky people or food snobs. We just appreciate good tasting food and thoughtful service. We first had a chilly reception upon entering. The two hostesses were aloof and appeared bothered. I may add that the servers were pleasant, not rude. We also were frustrated with the service, finding ourselves waiting for our initial drink order (a glass of wine and a beer) for about 30 minutes. We felt abandoned! After another 10 minutes, we finally received our complimentary bread followed shortly by an appetizer. There did not seem to be any excuse for the painfully slow service, since the dining area was only half full. Ordering another round of drinks was a similar problem. Also, during our meal service, a request for more condiments and utensils was not followed through. Again, no concern was shown. Our ordered steaks were overcooked. Mine being chewy, dry, and tasteless. All food appeared not to be freshly cooked. It was almost as if we were eating leftovers. The Bartolotta restaurants have been so well respected over the years and have taken great pride in their excellence in food and service. This no longer appears to be the case. Based on the cost and what we received, we will not be returning.

I was there with a larger group for a company Christmas party. I ordered the Wagyu. I've never had Wagyu before. It was tough and lacking seasoning. It was also rare, I ordered medium. Maybe I just don't like Wagyu. The manager was rude and appeared annoyed by our very presence. Coat check was extremely interested in something on her phone. Our 2 main servers were lovely, very friendly, attentive, and informative. The restaurant is very busy and they really pack you in.

Food has taken a serious nosedive here. Paid $17 for a tiny salad that was looked straight out of a bag. The filet and potatoes were completely bland, and the lamb chops were more fat than meat, maybe six bites total. Spent $200, left hungry and disappointed. Went straight to Carnevor and had an incredible meal, which really saved the night. Don’t go here

T

I chose this place for dinner for my birthday. I made reservations that stated it was my birthday. The host never said Happy Birthday nor acknowledged it. However, as a Caucasian couple enters she states Happy Birthday to them and welcomes them. The entire night not one person asked what we were celebrating and the service was very mediocre. I had to give it a one star in which it didn’t deserve any. My daughter has never been and stated she would never come back. The food was very good. The ambience was beautiful. The rustic vibes were appreciated. I really wish the experience was the same!
