San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana

First time here. If you are looking for fresh, interesting, and delicious pizzas, this is the place. We all ordered a different pizza, and shared them. Each pizza is a general "personal" size and has 4 large slices. I had the San Giorgio and it was amazingly good (it has a sunny side egg). We all enjoyed our choice of pizzas. It was a busy night and they told us when we were seated that they needed the table at 7:30 (1.5 hrs). I get that they want to turn over tables. We might have stayed for dessert, would have been rushed (we went to "At Random" for ice cream drinks :) The dining room was a packed, but we had plenty of room at our table. The server did a great job (thanks Josh). It was a bit noisy, but we were able to have a conversation. We would definitely go again.

We sat at the counter where you can watch the pizzas being made. I’ve been to Naples and this place rivals the traditional pizza there. We had a number of appetizers and finished with dessert. It was fantastic all around.

My partner and I shared the opportunity to be served by Crystal, who recommended some fine options for drinks and food. My partner had a taste for prosciutto and chose a Margherita-style pizza with that and arugula added. I, however, tried the Bolognese pasta special—both dishes were excellent. For drinks, he tried a hoppy ale; I tried a limoncello martini and a glass of moscato—per Crystal’s recommendations. In short—between the atmosphere, the service, and the cuisine, we were thoroughly impressed and will certainly be returning!

This spot was recommended by someone who is from Italy. I was told this is legit Italian food and authentic Pizza Napoletana. It did not disappoint. I had arancini for an appetizer and it was mouth-wateringly delicious. The pizza cooks in almost no time at all due to the super hot oven (I think it's at 900°). Our server was so friendly and came by multiple times. I would definitely come back. No drawbacks.

Love this restaurant. Tried it on a whim this week and I can say it’s the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. It’s true fire oven Neapolitan pizza—the sauce was not sweet, it’s definitely made with fresh sauce which is important. I would’ve preferred the basil included at the end because it did get burnt which is a personal preference. I tried the margarita pizza, a lightly dressed salad of greens and the bruschetta. The bruschetta was divine-worth getting just by itself and was so fresh and full of flavor. I took a tiramisu to go, and it was delicious, you can tell it’s made from scratch and was quite delicious. I give this a 10/10 but deducted one star as I was given a dirty fork in my pre-rolled napkin and when I asked for a replacement I was given another dirty one. I took a set off an adjacent table and that was fine. This was minor because the food and service well made up for it and I truly am glad I made the visit to this restaurant. It was a highlight of my trip to Milwaukee and food was top notch!

Had an excellent dining experience at San Giorgio this weekend. The meatball appetizer was excellent and we try meatballs everywhere we go! The pizza's were also great if you like the artisanal style (they are individual size, but we had 3 pies/meatballs/large salad for 5 of us and it was enough). You should definitely check this place out.

I discovered San Giorgio pizzeria looking around on Google maps. Decided to go there since all the reviews were really good. I got there (party of 2) on a Friday night at 8.00 pm and there was no waiting time. Two seats were available right away at the bar. The pizza is excellent, the staff is great and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. Prices are very affordable too. I highly suggest to stop by this pizza place. The owner is a really nice guy and always ready to talk with his customers. Make sure you get a real espresso after a real Italian pizza! I will definitely stop by during my next trip to Milwaukee.

Last minute decision....what a great little place! Food was fantastic.

Great experience, the staff were super friendly. Sit by the big pizza oven and enjoy the show. The Pizza is amazing, and the Tiramisu was delicious.

Came for early dinner and able to get two Sears without reservation. Service is extremely friendly, engaging staff eager to make the dinner enjoyable. Calamari is as good as New England where I'm from. Fried perfectly and marinara dip had great flavor. Sausage and Mushroom pizza is perfect. added marinara sauce for dipping crust. Extra dry martini was made exactly like it should be. Friend also had house side salad and it was crazy amount of mixed greens. sharing app and pizza is enough for 2 light eaters.

Food, drinks, service, bar tenders, host, atmosphere…fantastic!!! Just looking at the pictures make me want to come back. It was a whole new experience for me, going to a restaurant and talking nonstop about how good the food is. My best friend and I had a wonderful time. Photos by AC

10/10 restaurant. I love the wood fired oven concept. Everything off of the menu we ordered was delicious and came out timely. The bartender was phenomenal - I think she's worked there for a while! She knows how to make a delicious aperol spritz!!!

This is possibly my favorite pizza place here. I recommend it to everyone if they are looking for some pizza. The atmosphere is nice. These pictures are from last year but I remember our encounter vividly. Our server was so attentive and gave great wine recommendations. Literally felt like family when I was here. Food was great--atmosphere and people were great. I hope to return soon.

This is the only Neapolitan style pizzeria certified to use quality Italian ingredients in its wood oven fired pizzas in the Milwaukee area! It was delicious and every bit a neopolitan pizza... chewy with a great, bubbly wood fired crust! I highly recommend the San Giorgio namesake pizza! Braised fennel and pancetta with baby arugula and Romano and mozzarella! Insert lip smacking sounds here! So, so good! We also loved the Arancini. Large risotto balls deep fried to crispy perfection outside and served with bolognese sauce. If pizza isn't your Forte, we would also recommend the gnocchi, served with a 12 hour sausage ragu! Oh man, was that tender and so filling! Service was insightful and gave great recommendations as well. It's small and cozy and great romantic dinner for two!

We came here for a little date night and it was really good! This will be your most authentic Neapolitan style pizza you can get here if you love this kind of pizza. It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth it! We got the Bruschetta as an appetizer, it came with 4 on a plate for about $17. My pizza I went with was the Doppla Calabrese, it was spicy but sooo good! The pizzas are about 12” maybe and the price of this pizza was about $28. Like I said it’s pricey but worth it, I ate a whole pizza all to myself! I think I would come back and sit at the bar and split a pizza with someone if I was down in the area again. Also be sure to try to make a reservation if you can before you go, otherwise you may be able to catch a seat at the bar.

You have to try San Giorgio's Authentic Italian Cuisine. The Chefs are trained in Italy. What comes out of the wood fired oven is delicious. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is classy. Follow the restaurant on social media to stay up to date on their rotating specials!

The BEST pizza napoletana I've had in the US. We visited the pizzeria after 4 years, and the quality was exactly the same, if not better. San Giorgio reminds me of the pizza in Naples, Italy. The staff is great and very knowledgeable. The menu is so good that it's hard to pick one thing. The people leaving bad reviews have no idea what a true pizza napoletana is. Grazie for bringing a piece of Italy to Milwaukee. 😊

Fantastic dining experience. Chef Robin is a master. Terrific Neapolitan pizza; however, it’s much more than a pizza restaurant. I could eat here once a day. Wait staff was personable and helpful. A must visit in Milwaukee. I will be back!

The closest Naples style pizza that I have found. Absolutely great food and nice staff. This is likely the top restaurant in Milwaukee! Keep it up and keep the fabulous ingredients coming!

Clean, upscale atmosphere with friendly service. We intended to split a salad and a pizza but after looking at all the choices on the menu we went for the BPP (pizza Bianca with peppers and prosciutto) and the Carnivore (a special with multiple meats and ricotta stuffed in the crust). Both were amazingly good. The wood-fired oven creates a perfect crust. We will definitely return next time we're in Milwaukee.

Had dinner for 3 last night and had Jamie as my server. The food and drinks were amazing and Jamie helped us through everything. Was able to give great recommendations and got us what we needed before we even knew we needed it. Would 10/10 recommend the food and the server!

This is the best pizza place l've ever been to, and trust me, l've tried many different pizza places throughout Wisconsin. This one is absolutely the best. You can't go wrong with the atmosphere, the ambience, the bartenders, the staff, the food, and the drinks. My favorite pizza is the deluxe, which was absolutely amazing, and my favorite drink is the Paper Plane. Keep up the good work; it is truly outstanding. I'll definitely be back again!

Excellent food. The Aperol Spritz tasted a bit like a Wisconsin Old Fashioned. The Bolognese was very good. The pizza is clearly the star of the show, though. The server was very friendly and very well trained. My only complaint is that it's very pricey.

Incredible flavor in every bite. We had to wait like for 45 minutes to be seated but at the end it worth! I the sauce, the crust exquisite. Also the service was very kind and fast after all the time we had to wait. Thank you!

Dinner for two at 5:00 pm. We had a reservation and it filled up pretty quickly. Service was good and the food was prepared well a property seasoned. The only thing that could have been impproved upon is that the thin center part of the pizza was Luke warm. Possibly because of the plate being cold? The pizza was still delicious, just could have been hotter. The meal with an app. Salad and a pizza plus 4 glasses of wine was $95. We would certainly dine here again

Dessert was mind-blowing!! Pistachio torte OMG! Loved it!! Napoletana pizza was good as well. Do try the Leinenkugel beer!! It's a local Wisconsin beer from Chippewa falls, WI and was really good. It's a light beer!! Service from Brittany was perfect!! All staff was super courteous!

Awesome place. Would go again if I’m ever back in the area. Sat right at the bar and got a chance to watch all the employees make pizza, saw inside the oven while my pizza was being cooked. A really really great experience. Pizza and dessert was fantastic.

We made a reservation here for two, and when we got there they asked if it's okay if we get sat at the pizza bar. At first we were hesitant, but it turned out to be so much fun to watch the pizza artists at work. It was like dinner and a show :) Cheesy, I know. Aside from the entertainment, we split the burrata and the Ilario pizza. The burrata was perfectly creamy, the olive oil was flavorful, the salt came through but not too much, and complimented the sweet ripe tomatoes perfectly. The pizza was also great! I wish the bottom was cooked just a touch more since there was a little bit of dough goo in the middle, but the flavors were great. The San Marzano tomatoes that SG uses for their sauce make a huge difference and add such a wonderful brightness to the pie. Go to San Giorgio and ask for a reservation at the pizza bar!

Great Neapolitan pizza, the Burrata was also delicious. Desserts were just ok, especially given the price, but pizza was definitely worth it.

It was good, a well done Neapolitan. Fresh ingredients, chew in the crust. Con: price. Pizzas are 8” of toppings and 11” diameter including crust. Prices reflect Eataly but the pizzas here are much smaller. We can’t afford to make this a “local pizza spot” more of a fancy occasion. Too bad, spent $80 for two people on 3 pizzas with a meat topping.

Great food and a happening place. We had a order issue that could have been handled better. The waiter put in the wrong order for my partners meal. Then when we sent it back they brought the EXACT same plate back out with a "here you go". Again sent back. Then the waiter came over and said it would be a few minutes while they made the correct pasta. All while my pizza was getting cold waiting on my dining partners meal. The only reason I knew the waiter put it in wrong was that he had to take it off the bill at the end. Probably should have sent the pizza back to so that they could make it fresh and hot. Overall good but staff needs some training.

The Della Casa salad was--how to say--a container of mostly air. Honestly it was quite shocking, especially for the price. The pizzas were really good, so that was nice. The food took almost twice as long as promised, so that was frustrating. Overall, I expected a lot more.
