The staff is exceptional and attentive. Craft beer selection is immense. Best cheese curds in town, hands down! The rest of the menu doesn't disappoint, watch for the food specials, too!

Great Beer Selection. The outdoor patio overlooking the Milwaukee River is a great spot for a date or to hangout in nice weather. Remember the food being pretty good here. Building is modern and a nice sports bar environment.

I love this place. The patio has recently been redone and with the heaters they've installed you'll stay nice an warm on those chilly Milwaukee nights. The beer selection is on point, and the staffed is very knowledgeable. My bartender Erica could answer every question I had and was able to suggest the perfect beer to compliment my food. I will definitely be back.

Great restaurant with a wonderful patio in the summer! Amazing views of the river. Their happy hour specials are some of the best in the city. All their food is delicious and the portions are very large! My favorites are their cheese curds, any of their burgers, and their BBQ pork sandwich. Great gap list as well!

Came here for the Friday Fish Fry and were not disappointed. We were seated almost immediately, had a very helpful and present waitress, and really enjoyed the food. Beer selection is extensive, though be sure to check the chalkboard in the middle listing the ones that are out. Really liked the dim lighting as the evening progressed. Did not play with the billiards or table hockey sets, but it looked fun. Looking forward to coming back in the summer when outdoor seating is available!

One of my son's, who lives downtown, favorite places to eat. Large portions, good service and food was excellent. Husband said the 2 burger platter was one of the best hamburgers he has ever had! He loved the flavor of the burgers. My Rueben was stacked high with corned beef and nicely toasted. Would definitely go again.

We are at Stubby's pretty regularly since we moved to the area. Amazing beer selection, good food and good service combine for a fun place to hang out or watch a game. The outdoor patio along the river is fantastic in the summertime. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and informal, more sports bar than anything, but there is lots of open space and plenty of tables for those who prefer the restaurant feel. Also, if you'll be going more than once, join the beer club for great beer specials and exclusive taps.

One of my favorite place to have a few drinks and appetizers. Great prices on Thursday for $3 off taps. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try multiple beers accompanied by good food. Outdoor seating during warm months is nice overlooking the river.

All the food I've had there is great. I was there for brunch, and the portions are very large! Burgers are fantastic, and they have very good fried cheese curds, too. The beer selection is fantastic, they have tons of craft beer on tap from all over, I think there's around fifty on tap. All major styles are represented, so if you don't like IPAs, don't worry, they'll still have something for you. Happy hour on Wednesday is half off whiskeys, and they have a pretty solid selection, including Basil Hayden, Balvenie 12, and many others. They've got games like pool, pinball, shuffleboard, and a great patio overlooking the river for nice weather. Great place!

Stopped in for a drink and ended up ordering the cheese curds. They were very good which surprised us because we're not a big fan of cheese curds. The service was also great. Wish I could remember our servers name, soccer player from Chile, but he was also friendly, attentive and just downright nice to talk with. Definitely recommend this place to others and we'll for sure be back.

Pretty fierce competition in our area for this type of place. They hit all the marks pretty well. Very good food, good atmosphere, great selection of beers on tap. Nice enough that I can take my wife there on a date but relaxed enough that you would never feel like you don't belong.

Sat outside on the patio overlooking the river. Had a genuine waitress and food came quickly. We could tell the cheese curds were hand made and the nacho dish was absolutely massive. Great food, great portions, great prices - what else could you possibly ask for?

Great food. Great beer. Great location. Definitely plan to return here soon. It’s in a really great area with easy street parking. Saw a gorgeous Samoyed walking in front of us but sadly did not get to meet. Maybe next time. Food specials available.

Awesome, modern food. Good portions, great specials. Fantastic happy hour! Different plate sizes let's you try and share so many great meals. Burger is delicious and the chicken meat balls are a must!

Stubby's has a thoughtful menu, fresh ingredients, and VERY friendly service. I like that they don't serve the same stuff as every other place in town. Everything came to our table correctly, hot, and delicious! I was really impressed that management made the decision to open the patio, even though it was February, and they probably didn't officially have it open. But how nice of them to make those accomodations as best as they could. Because really. You'd have to be a complete idiot to go to an outdoor dining patio in February in Wisconsin and demand service. Very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!!

After a very long wait at another local spot. We decided to call Stubby’s. They took down our names and put us on the list. They got us in a timely manner for a Friday night. Our server was great! She was very attentive and on top of everything. I went with a group of 6 and everyone said their food was very good. My husband said his burger was excellent and he’s picky!

This is my favorite bar in Milwaukee! It's pretty chill so you don't have to scream at your friends to talk to them. The beer selection is absolutely great! They have a shuffle board table and some other bar games. Food is really solid too, all around great bar I would highly recommend it!

This may be my favorite bar/restaurant in Milwaukee. The nachos and the calamari both far exceeded our expectations. Do not order the extra cheese sauce on the side of the nachos that they recommend. It taste and looks like it came from a large can. They quality is the same as the neon yellow fake nacho cheese you get at the ball park. Definitely not the quality of the rest of the food they serve, which is a shame. For the extra price i was expecting a house made cheese. Also they have over 50 beers on tap and a very pretty view out on the balcony!

Get the smoked chicken on the nachos but don’t get the queso. Fantastic cheese curds. Wing night is a good deal and the sauces are phenomenal. Obviously a diverse and excellent beer selection. Prices are pretty typical for a mid-scale joint. Trivia guys were hilarious and well organized!

Favorite bar in Milwaukee. Staff is friendly and on spot. Beer is always fresh with incredible selection of craft beers that change regularly. Food is much higher quality than expected for a pub. The bar area is fun and the restaurant area is relaxing as well. Also family friendly because of the restaurant, and regularly stop here when family are in town. Also has the best riverside summer patio in the area. You won't regret going.

We were there for a Sunday brunch. There were 7 of us. Food was delicious and service was quick and with a smile. We were able to get a table overlooking the river and enjoyed the beautiful spring view. Only complaint: hostess just looked like we were ruining her day by showing up. Everyone else was great to work with. Lots of fun nostalgia things to look at inside the restaurant. Maybe next visit we'll look around inside more. Parking in that neighborhood is tough, so be prepared to hunt for a spot. I am definitely looking forward to returning during my next trip to Milwaukee.

I apologize for the pictures but I was really hungry. Food was really good, service was fast and efficient. Waitress was friendly, and our table clean. I like the place, bathrooms are nice, it has a good looking patio, and a comfortable indoor dining space. Cheese curds are THE BEST!

Excellent selection of beers on tap! Waitress was very friendly but kitchen seemed a bit slow. Had the Buffalo Chicken Melt with grilled chicken and sweet potato fries. Fries were crispy and had a slightly spicy seasoning. Sandwich tasted great but could have used more buffalo sauce and Bleu cheese. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Great place for beers and food. Right off the river this is a fun place. $2 off beers on Thursdays!

The cheese curds are insanely good. The sausage was very tasty. They space well for COVID. The staff is very friendly. The only complaint was "the comfy omelet." It was served in a pool of grease, which was really gross and not able to be eaten. When we told the waitress, they removed it from our bill which was appreciated. I would highly recommend this place for classic pub food, great atmosphere on the outside patio, and a positive experience.

Our food was wonderful. Our server James was timely, friendly and great at his job. He did a great job attending to our large group and did not miss a beat. Only reason it is not five stars is the rude host. Your hostess was the rudest host I have ever come across in any restaurant. Almost laughable. I can’t believe how horribly she treated us and other customers. Need to get rid of her asap.

Good place to watch the game on Sundays. Cheese curds, chicken nachos, and boneless wings were all good. I was actually impressed at the boneless wings because I usually don't care for boneless at all. I thought 10 bucks for a margarita on the rocks was a little steep but it wasn't my drink and I don't know what kind of tequila they used so I'd have to find out more to be for sure about that. I just saw the price and the small cocktail glass. I had a bloody mary in a pint glass. It was delicious but lacked a sufficient amount of vodka. Overall good place I'd come back to watch a game. ...only actual complaint, the music is so loud it's pretty hard to hear anyone right next to you talking.

Great beer list, haven't had a full meal here but tried most of the appetizers and they were excellent. In my top three of the city for wings. Has a dart board and pool table for a bit of fun. Staff is great too.

Thirsty Thursdays are a great deal. Really good beer selection although a bit IPA heavy. Good vegetarian food options. Can get a bit loud, but not bad considering the number of folks there. Great views of the river.

Went here to grab a drink and had a good time! Pretty nice selection of beers that's sure to please everyone. They also have bubble hockey here which was a pleasant surprise as I haven't seen that at a bar before...earned some nostalgia points as I grew up playing hockey. Last time I was here was on a Tuesday and they had trivia as an FYI for those of you interested in showcasing your useless knowledge.

Good food, good atmosphere, fun menu names, service is hit or miss. We came here for brunch last summer and sat on the outdoor deck overlooking the river. It was a gorgeous day, so having the option to sit outside was awesome. I had the comfy omelette because of how unique it sounded, never heard anything like it! It did not disappoint. Good service, but I was thrown off when I saw a dog. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but I did find it weird that a dog was on the deck and going up to customers tables. We recently came in because I wanted a fish fry and sat indoors this time. Confusing, yet interesting, décor and vibe. It was a Friday and they seemed understaffed, or that's what I was telling myself because the waitress was extremely slow. We started with the clock shadow cheese curds, which were voted "Best Cheese Curds MKE" at Curd Fest 2017 and were disappointed. Breading was thick and the sauce, although unique being a bacon parmesan peppercorn sauce, was not our favorite. I got the breaded bluegill filets for dinner and they were two different colors, which I thought was strange, but they tasted delicious. Fries were okay and the coleslaw really punches you in the face with garlic, we were not a fan. Honestly, what made the fish fry was the tarter sauce, one of the best I think I've had. Overall, we do really like coming here and will continue to try new menu items each time we come.

Went for brunch - had the place to ourselves. Enjoyed a fantastic Chicken Cobb salad and received excellent service. Our server was very friendly and helpful, taking special care to accommodate my allergy restrictions. The Cobb salad was presented gorgeously and did not disappoint. The greens were crisp, avocado ripe and it was topped with perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken. Will be revisiting for brunch...

Great beer menu. Inefficient waitstaff. Server needs more training. There was business, but no excuse for the poor service. The only reason we got beers and an appetizer is because the manager wslked by. We were told burgers could only be cooked medium well. Came out crunchy one one side. Waited forever to pay.

Overall not impressed with our food or service. Had a party of 6, all ordered different dishes and no one fully disliked their meal, but no one was happy either. We all took bites of each others stuff and everything was just mostly boring. Most disappointing was the BBQ flatbread pizza. Overly sweet sauce, and had definitely been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile and tasted almost left over. Service was definitely slow around 8pm and the restaurant was about a third full. Took minimum 10 minutes per drink order for 3-4 drinks which seemed weird. I’d give them another shot based on the beer selection, but cannot honestly recommend going there base on food experience. Nice location though!

Been coming here for trivia nights for a few months and while the atmosphere is awesome and the drink selection is great, the food honestly leaves a lot to be desired. We've started eating somewhere else before coming. The cheese curds are pretty good, though.

Oh man. We didn’t know what to expect from this place. It was empty when we got there which should have been our first warning. Wait staff was okay. Food was pretty awful. This is the queso. It was so gross.
