Very good place 👏 love 💘 it my kids too very good costumers service and very clean place.1
As long as you like froyo, it is great froyo
Sean was such a great help, he was so polite and professional! Please send my thanks to Sean for being so sweet during a busy work day!
Always the best. Can’t wait for the cobble hill location to open
I love frozen yogurt. They have a lot of topping here with fresh fruits. It can be pricy though
Very nice and clean place , workers are nice. Good ice cream a lot of different flavors.
Salted caramel with hot fudge, banana and peanuts. Blended if possible. I call it liquid gold. Amazing.
Always love all the flavor choices and build your own sundae set up.
Tastes yummy! I plan to try fruity vs. always getting sweet
My experience was great.. Young lady who assisted me was very helpful.
It was the great place to relax and cool off after a hot time outside!
Great place. Clean and lots of flavors and add ons.
The place is absolutely welcoming and staff is so much friendly. The frozen yogurt they sell has different tastes with lots of toppings. The price is also ok. Highly recommended ☺
It's probably been ten years since I've been in a 16 Handles, but walking by one last night I couldn't help but notice the "OAT MILK" sign in the window... Yeehaw! Just as exciting as I remember it being going to froyo when the trend starting picking up. Flavors to choose from, toppings galore, and finally, finally, Dairy Free options. The standout flavor for me was Chai Tea - it was more like cinnamon and snickerdoodle than tea, but no complaints there. Toppings aren't labeled dairy free or not, but if that's your food allergy, you probably know what to look out for. Shout out to Crumbled Oreos for always being there for the GF/DF crowd
It was delightful. Everyone was so friendly and in tune. It was very nice to finally see friendly, peaceful, inviting people in one location. Will be returning. Also the Ice cream and topping were amazing.
So you are walking around Willamsburg in Brooklyn NY. The street is lively and there are a lot of quirky things going on. You are in a hip part of town. Then you walk into 16 Handles. This is not your typical self serve yogurt place. In here the stuff is organic. If I recall I really could taste a difference.
I don't typically like froyo but I actually really enjoyed this
Best coffee froyo I’ve ever had hands down. The Nutella one was pretty good too! Really wish I could have this at home. Was only visiting the area.
Absolutely delicious frozen yogurt and great selection of toppings. Great and friendly service! A little on the pricey side but worth it!
Nice staff, various flavors. Really great prices. Some indoor seating. Two lopsided benches outside. Great variety of toppings. Clean.
Always has my fave flavor (euro tart). Very spacious and kind quick service. Toppings are always filled and stocked.
This place was cool. It's your typical self serve frozen yogurt place. They had a wide selection of flavors and every conceivable topping. I ended up going for cheesecake and some sort of apple pie flavor which were surprisingly good together with candied walnuts and raspberry sauce.
Saying I love Frozen yogurt is an understatement, especially from 16 handles. It gives you the ability to self-serve and has a variety of good toppings. Always good customer service and cleanliness is up to part.
Best froyo I've had in NYC! Fantastic flavor options that I've never seen anywhere else such as graham cracker. They have all the great toppings and some how they manage to keep it fully stocked and clean, which is a novelty. There are a couple seats inside, but if it's hot out that's not gonna happen. There are some overflow benches outside too.
16 Handles is a great dessert spot, but beware because they charge you by the weight of your item! I have this theory that they put all the healthy yogurt and toppings options first and then all the guilty pleasures toward the end. Anyway, their flavors are amazing, and they literally have every topic you can ever imagine! Just watch how much you pack into your cup because it could get pricey!
4 stars because they have vegan options at all. Not 5 stars because they have 4 spots for vegan options, but over 3 visits they only had 4 options once and they had no vegan options one time. The toppings also have good vegan options and gluten free options. The new Oat chocolate cherry flavor is Amazing. But, the only handles that were not serving were the vegan ones. My wife’s favorite was the vegan birthday cake. Neither of us can do dairy for two different reasons. We always want to come here first though. I can say that the people are always great. Great service and help. We LOVE the ice cream when we get it. We are sad when vegan options are either not there or limited to fruit flavors.
I came in here with a couple of my friends and staff was so nice and helpful. We asked for some recommendations and they were more than helpful to guide us. This was really a fun experience, putting your own flavors and your own topping. Definitely will be back
Delicious frozen yogurt! There’s even a dairy free option (sorbet always, they had plant based mint chocolate for a little bit too!) I’m so excited about the Oatly collaboration this summer BUT I’m always annoyed that those flavors always come out partially melted. I’ve gone 3 different times, and it’s always runny. Anyway! if you’re trying to be a little healthier, there is some great sorbet and tart yogurt, along with nuts and fresh cut fruit. If you’re an absolute monster like me and love toppings galore and chocolate on everything, there’s also plenty to choose from. They’ve also taken care to practice some food safety by having individual containers for some toppings and removing sample cups, AND social distancing between customers. Very nice job, 16 Handles team! I highly recommend if you want a frozen treat to come by here!
I had a really great experience here. The biggest highlights to me were oat milk flavors, vegan options, and lots of healthy toppings. It was also a friend’s birthday and a large group of us all fit comfortably here eating froyo and hanging out. The coconut oat milk flavor was SO GOOD. There’s a ton of toppings to choose from too. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends and have a tasty treat.
A grand haven for out-of-this-world treats, delicious flavors of Fro-Yo. The best I have tasted in a long time, it's got the right ambience for family outing, friendly hangouts or even a lovers treat and its located in a strategic part of Brooklyn. One visit will be an utter injustice to my palate.
Good frozen yogurt a lot of toppings not enough seating.
Very good spot clean and lots of options for toppings the only negative is that there weren't many options for frozen yogurt
It's good but when I compare it to another ice cream shop called pearl gate yeah I like pearl gate better because 16 Handles is more expensive and you get the same service at pearl gate for a fraction of the price
Ice cream is great and staff is friendly. Place gets messy and there is no bathroom. Very family friendly
They have sample cups if you want to try one or a few of their many flavors.
My children love this place. I enjoy the variety of toppings.
Froyo is always amazing but I have had issues with the staff either closing up early or opening late. Like an hour or more for both
Charge by weight self-serve frozen yogurt spot. They have 16 flavors to choose from (hence the name) and 3 cups size that you fill with your choice of flavors. Great dessert.
Amazing crepe. However be cautious of the wait time especially when they’re making crepes for a big crowd. They only make crepes one at a time. I ended waiting almost 25 minutes because one the workers was working on four crepes ahead of me 🤦🏻♀️
The macaroon cookie is soft, chewy crunchy and sweet. The ice cream is good too! Unique combos and flavored.
I see a lot of complaints about the cost, but if you frequent frozen yogurt place’s it a standard price in my opinion. Just don’t go crazy on filling up the cups. This place was clean and had a good assortment of options in my opinion. My only complaint was the fruit didn’t seem to fresh but we came at the end of the day.
The flavors are really good and I like how they have fro yo and ice cream and a vegan option too it's really cool the only thing I don't like is how overpriced they are cause I paid like 30 something dollars on three ice creams but they do price by weight so that is probably why. But it's still a good place overall and a great place if you're not worried about the price.
I wished there were more fruit options, and the texture of the frozen yogurt itself is a bit watery to my liking. I prefer Fruity Yummy.
Love frozen yogurt, so when I heard the hype about this place I wanted to check it out for myself. Not disappointed overall, but as a newbie, was not easy to figure out their system. Staff were friendly and when they weren't busy they were helpful. I enjoyed the selection of yogurt I made. Will definitely go back to try the other flavors.
Lots of yogurt and topping choices. Nice modern and trendy looking place. My kids enjoyed the frozen yogurt. My only issue is that it's not as clean as other places I have been to. The topping section was a bit messy and unkempt, also the music playing was a little ratchet too lol. But overall it was a great place to get a tasty treat from.
I came here to try the Thai Tea ice cream macaroon. It was delicious. I also tried the mint and chip macaroon and it was okay not a fan of it. Most of the macaroons are pre made so the cookies aren't as fresh as they could have tasted. Although I must agree that this place is over hyped. It is a small place on the corner ice cream spot. You need to watch out where you park at night because after a certain time they start giving out tickets.
Pretty good because you can pick out your own toppings and ice cream. The only thing I suggest is they should have kids size cups that vary from small to large.
Great frozen yogurt with 16 soft serve flavors and any toppings you can possibly imagine. Almost everything is kosher! Only downside is the price is defined by the weight of the ice cream. My coffee soft serve small bowl with rainbow sprinkles wasn't exactly worth $7+tax, but it's a very nice kosher frozen yogurt bar. They have oat milk frozen yogurt, gluten free options and all the fruit, chocolate and candies you can possibly put on top. Very cute place.
It's a decent place to get Froyo, but they had run out of the passion fruit tart.
Three times I've been there they have no whipped cream. What they had tonight squirted all over.
I know a lot of people swear by this place, but I thought it was just okay. The froyo is good-but-not-great, and the presentation is messy enough that not-very-fussy me was still a little put off. Combine this with pretty-high prices and zero atmosphere, and you might want to get your fake-custard fix somewhere else.
The yogurt flavours are awesome, but toppings are too childish, no fruit, very boring. Don't use their disinfecting gel at the entrance - it's sticky and disgusting
The froyo was tasty and they had great flavor options. However, the store has a strange, bad smell.
I absolutely love fro-yo and wish that there were more self-serve froyo spots in NYC. This spot in Williamsburg offers you that experience and it was so fun to go with friends one night! The interior was spacious but because we went later in the evening, most of the seats were put up, so we had to eat our froyo standing. They have a variety of flavors and you can sample as many as you want. I ended up getting their original tart with fruit and some other toppings. The price was pretty reasonable. Nothing crazy, but it was a fun spot to check out!
Unfortunately, they didn’t have the mini size in store only for pickup ˙◠˙
Grimy, overpriced, dingy, and falling apart. This place needs a rebrand
It's all corporate so you can only come it to other 16H's. Staff is uniformly friendly. The owner needs to take responsibility for having the area clean, from door to curb. It's filthy, not sure why the neighbors tolerate it.
I came in at 9:21pm on a Saturday November 11.I was not allowed to try any of the flavors. The workers looked miserable they were not friendly. They gave me an ugly look and took spoon in a bad unprofessional way out of my hand the dark skin girl that work there. The ice cream is not that bad is frozen yogurt but the environment and the workers could have a better attitude since I am paying for the service. It was our first time here I stay professional about the whole situation but these workers have to go. Thank you 🙏
The worker was busy on the phone meanwhile the table needed to be cleaned. There was toppings all over the countertop.
This place has been deteriorating over the last year. It's become disgustingly dirty inside. And it's just overpriced.
Absolutely disgusting. Old frozen yogurt is dripping down the machines, trash is scattered all throughout the seating area, toppings bar never wiped down, seats are all scratched up and ripped. Staff is either on their phones behind the counter, sitting down, or both. Would absolutely avoid this location.
The place was extremely dirty. The girl at the cashier literally had headphones on. Just horrible.
Closed half hour early and claimed that the ice cream machine is closed.. rude worker no words for the attitude she gave me.
Showed up 52min before close and door was locked and blocked by trash can/bags.
I was shocked today when I was told my small cup of froyo with sprinkles was $19. Beware!
How do you run out of your primary flavor, EuroTart? Maybe if you paid your employees $15 an hour they would keep an eye on it.
Disgusting machines that do not appear to be cleaned often. And the worst customer service. Not worth the cost
They do not follow the hours that they have . It's 10:38pm and it said it close at 11 but they close now. Don't recommend to go there , if you do call ahead .
Dirty - there were flies/gnats all over the ice cream area. I walked in and walked right out.
Frozen Yogurt is good when it’s actually available. Staff will stand there on their phones rather than inform customers that something is unavailable. Not even a sign is placed. I mean what a waste of time.
It’s SO DIRTY inside this place! Like literally I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned since it opened, the door to walk inside is so disgusting it’s so off putting for a place where there is food especially food that you put into the cup yourself to be this level of dirty! Stay away!!!
You guys are by far the worst to order from. We ordered at 645 and when I called at 8 they said it was on its way so I decided to just stay calm and wait a half an hour when I called again the girl who answered told me it was not out and she didn't know what to tell no apologies nothing just she didn't what to tell me I was in such shock I had to ask if she was serious and reign my anger in. After which she just asked if I wanted to to cancel my order I of course said yes and hung up I will never order from this place or go to it period. Absolutely the worst service ever.
Guy named “Steven” was very unprofessional! He Drives a red Honda Accord . So i went to the business at approximately 10:23 pm on 6/7/21 to buy frozen Yogurt for my pregnant wife. Supposedly they close the doors at 10:30 pm ! And they felt like closing the doors earlier than expected. The Employee Steven got very nasty with me ... and also insulted me ... he aslo asked me what im going to do about it ? He wanted to fight . I usually go here alot but really dissatisfied and disappointed with the employees here !
It is extremely hot outside and i’m waiting with another person and they’re also writing a review there’s currently a line piling up this business. It says opening time 1. The worker is just plain rude and straight up ignoring us.
Staff closed the store more than 30 minutes before posted time (locked doors at 9:50pm instead of 10:30 on a Saturday evening) and even came out to explain to the waiting customers that the store hours meant “when the staff goes home” not when the location actually closes (which is not how store hours work??) was very rude to the large group of waiting people as well.
Been wanting to try this place for while but unfortunately due to its poor/rude customer service will be the last. Williamsburg is very pet friendly and understand there’s rules, but not even allow to purchase yogurt and eat outside is ridiculous.
Be careful – this place is outrageously overpriced. It should be impossible for a single cup of ice cream in their smaller sized cup to be $18 each, but it was.
I visited this frozen yogurt shop recently and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bill – $19 for a single cup of frozen yogurt! The pricing here is absolutely outrageous, and it's clear they are trying to take advantage of their customers. The quality of the frozen yogurt wasn't anything exceptional either. I won't be returning to this place, and I strongly advise others to steer clear unless you want to empty your wallet for a mediocre dessert.
The place is very dirty. The floor has plenty of dirty napkins and yogurt stains. The dispensers also require more cleaning. This place does not comply with sanitary laws. They should be closed down until they comply with the minimum standards.
Please tell your staff if they close at 10pm they should not lock the doors at 9:30pm. It takes 10 minutes to fill up a cup and check out. As a pretty understanding person who works with the public, it’s pretty ridiculous.
I’ve gone to other locations in Manhattan but never this one. I’ve had great experiences elsewhere but this location is definitely over priced. I always pay around the same amount at other locations but they charged me almost $3 more. I was also not allowed to use the tester cups myself and had to get an employee to do it for me.
Came at 1pm on Sat January 13. The store was closed despite the website saying it was open. The lights were on and employees were inside, but the door was locked. Tried tapping on the windows to get their attention to see if they were planning on reopening. They looked at us and then ignored us. Not the end of the world, but extremely rude and massively inconvenient with two toddlers in tow.
UNBELIEVABLY OVERPRICED!!! I should have walked out when they told me the price but I felt guilty wasting what I had poured. I went here for years before the pandemic and always considered it a little expensive then but not by too much; still worth the price. Just got back with a large cup for myself and a smaller one for my wife, according to the receipt it was 31.6 oz and the cost after tax was just under $31. $31!!! For two cups. How is this place still in business? This is like twice the price of what it used to be. Never again. Absolutely never going there again. Van Leeuwen never seemed so affordable. Save yourself the shock and avoid this place. $31!
Even thought the frozen yogurt is delicious, the service was probably the worse I have ever had in NY. As soon as we walked in, we were asked if we had a mask, we put it on, while, the employee removed the mask, when checking out, her nose was exposed and asked her not to breath in out food and she replied she was vaccinated, so are we, so why do we have to wear a mask??? Extremely rude and dismissive attitude, not appreciative of their customers.
They say they open at 1. it is currently 1:25 pm as im typing this and the doors are still closed. A worker inside the establishment saw me try to open the door and i was signaling for her and also i knocked on the door. What did she do? She went to the back and completely ignored me. Its almost 30 minutes past opening time this is a lack of responsibility.
As others have said- soooooo gross inside. It would take such minimal effort to clean up. Wipe the trays below the dispensers, clean the walls and floors, replace the hand sanitizer (both were empty), and just general cleanliness things. Worker was chillin behind the counter on his phone which I wouldn’t care at all about if the place was clean but ickkk so gross
the workers did not respect my time, took a long time, plain rude. I also saw them make two teenage girls wait after 1 pm while they were supposed to be opened.
This place does a poor job at making sure toppings are separate and allergens are contained, obviously there’s always a chance but I had vanilla and rainbow sprinkles and I broke out with a peanut allergy. Never coming back
