Opinions de 65 Kuho Sushi Hotpot Brooklyn
The place is great. The service was fast and friendly, the prices include both sushi and hot pot. The pieces of sushi were pretty good, does come with a lot of rice but you can easily skip on that. Otherwise, everything was delicious!
We have visited here a handful of times this past year on weekend nights and have always been satisfied as well as stuffed. Never long of a wait for a table and staff are quick. The menu is varied with sushi and hotpot AYCE. Everything is fresh and tasty. Highlights for me are the thin sliced beef, seafood, and fresh variety of greens for the hotpot as well as the large selection of fresh sushi. Something for everyone to devour. All for the amazing low entry fee! One of our go to AYCE spots in the NYC and LI areas!
We've been coming here for 6 years. Most of our orders are to go (a la carte sushi of course) and to this day it's one of the best. Always fresh, always super accommodating, and can't beat the great deal.
Place was clean and was given adequate portions when ordering. Price was reasonable for what was offered in terms of hot pot ingredients. Place was clean and service was fine for a not busy lunch time.
I have been going to 65 Kuho for years now (even before they changed their name), and I can't rave enough about them. I have invited friends, family, and even dates here because the food and service are that good. I have family that travels from Westchester to eat here! Seriously! If you're a hot pot and sushi lover, you have to give this place a try!
A great place to go for dinner on a cold night!
i only order takeout here. food is nothing special imo but always tasty and cheap. the way they pack food is super nice, like the boxes are stacked neatly and never sticky and they always include utensils and napkins which i really appreciate. wait time for takeout can be incredibly long sometimes so call ahead but hey, busy is a good sign!!!
Idk how I haven’t left a review here yet, this has been a favorite of mine for 5+ years now. The sushi is some of the best ever for ayce quality and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Excellent place. I moved away from this neighborhood but I will always travel back for kuho!
We had AYCE hot pot plus sushi. Soup base is tasty and foods are fresh. Services are excellent. We heard that the restaurant is under new management now and they are dedicated to providing better service and food quality for all customers. Definitely worth to come back.
This is my go to sushi & hot pot place. Have been going for over 2 years and cant complain! Food is always fresh and on point. Never having any problems! Absolutely love the sushi! Love the girls that work there. They always have such great attitudes and will always recommend something if you are looking for it. Stay loyal to a place & theyll be loyal to you!
This is my go to hotpot/sushi place in Bensonhurst. I've been going here often for over a year now and my experience has been consistently great every single time. The workers are nice, and they bring my food out almost immediately after I order it (which I extremely appreciate when I'm really hungry). The food is good quality and the prices are unbeatable. I love this place and they deserve all the stars. Thank you guys!
This hot pot restaurant is my absolute go-to! I love everything about it — the food is always fresh, the portions are great, and it’s super affordable. Whether I’m craving something comforting or just want a fun meal, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
The setting n vibe is nothing special, but it’s clean so that’s good. We ordered the AYCE sushi and hot pot. The hot pot meats and veggies are fresh. The sushi wasn’t spoiled but wasn’t fresh either. The rice was a bit dry and hard. After about 30 minutes of leaving the sushi out on our plates while eating hot pot, the fish even tasted fishy. The bathrooms are clean. And have a better setting n vibe to relieve yourself.
Nice hotpot place to eat at. It's very clean and it doesn't smell too strong here like other hotpot places. The meat was very good quality and the broth was nice and they always made sure to top us off. Note it's all you can eat so there's so much variety!
Hey party people, back with another Blackman review. (Lol) Staff was amazing, fast, responsive and kind. House sake decent. Got the hotpot Japanese dashi style. (Not an accurate flavor but damn good regardless.) just make sure you know how to hotpot if you come here. They won’t do it for you. My only take back was that the meat came out frozen. Otherwise an experience I’d recommend to everyone from anywhere. Come and enjoy! 🤤 (added to the green book)
This is hands down the best hot pot place in the neighborhood. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s our favorite dinner place to go to. The service is great and the waiters are very attentive. The food is fresh and we love their chrysanthemum tea. Highly recommended!
It’s a great place with great service and unlimited sushi, what more can you ask for and the price is great. Come here it’s a nice neighborhood joint. Support your local business
Friendly staff, great food! It’s a really cute neighborhood environment! Hot pot and sashimi platter is my go to!

Always a good time !! Their sushi is so delicious and flavorful. The hotpot never disappoints
I had an absolutely amazing experience at 65 Kuho Sushi Hot Pot! From the moment we walked in, the service was beyond exceptional. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They took the time to explain everything, offered great recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire meal. The food was outstanding. The broths were rich and flavorful, and the quality of the meats, seafood, and vegetables was top-tier. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted even better than it looked. The sushi options were just as impressive — creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. This wasn’t just a meal, it was a full experience. Between the amazing service, incredible food, and warm atmosphere, it truly exceeded all expectations. I can’t recommend 65 Kuho Sushi Hot Pot enough — I’ll definitely be coming back!
This is a wonderful family owned restaurant. We had the all you can eat hot pot; it was perfect. Appetizing, fresh, delicious. The service was lovely, kind, and attentive. We’re going back as soon as we can!
This restaurant is fantastic! We do the all you can eat hot-pot plus sushi combination for just about $30 per person (as of summer 2025) and it's such a great deal. The sushi is amazingly fresh and made with actual sushi rice (such a rarity for some reason). It's some of the best All You Can Eat Sushi I ever had. The hand rolls in particular are amazing and have a ton of fish in them. The hot pot options are also delicious. I love the bone broth soup in particular, the great variety of things you can order. This includes fresh fish, huge variety of fish/meat balls, large variety of vegetables, and a whole lot of different seafood. The service is also wonderful. All the waitresses are lovely and the food comes on time. The waitresses even helped me a lot when I mention I was allergic to shrimp and needed the shrimp order separate from the other order. Wonderful service here. Finally, the restaurant is very clean and well organized, with a very nice bathroom. Nothing to complain about here. If you love all you can eat sushi and hot pot at a very reasonable price with great service and facilities, you have to come here!

Service was good. The staff was helpful and attentive. I got the sashimi platter which was good but nothing exceptional. The miso soup was tasty but small and very light on anything but broth. The bowl of rice that came with it was also on the small side. The sashimi pieces were nice sized (slightly above average).
Had the ayce sushi and hotpot combo. Food was overall good but had to waive down one of 2 waitresses 7 to 8 times to place my party's order. Probably needs a third person during peak food hours.
It's a nice little hot pot place, one of the few around that offers all you can eat. The price is 24.95 for hot pot and sushi, they charge a few for wasted food. Typical stuff. The staff was friendly, the food was pretty good, the meat was frozen though, still good when cooked but frozen vs fresh, fresh always wins. Honestly that's the only reason I can't give 5 stars, otherwise go here. Drinks aside, this is the only all you can eat hot pot where two people can eat their fill for only 50 bucks, in NYC you can't beat that. Definitely one of my favorite spots with just one visit.
I like their sushi as the quality is very good compared to other sushi places around the neighborhood. We did the hotpot and sushi buffet. The choices are limited but they made it up with quality. The hotpot is alright and I ate mostly the fatty beef and some veggies. I personally enjoy quality over quantity (choices) and I ate too much at the end. I would recommend this place to all sushi lovers. I always order sushi takeout from this place as they have good quality for a good price.
Good sushi!!! The interior is also very nice and cozy. They have hot pot, sushi, and lunch specials. The place isn’t very crowded or touristy. The staff are attentive and refill water. I would highly recommend this place.
The large restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. Hot pot, soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, sushi and sashimi, rolls, bento boxes, noodles, beverages and desserts are available. I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box and the shrimp tempura bento box. Both boxes included soup or salad, white rice, shumai, spring roll, California roll and the choice of entrees. The rolls are buy one and pay half for the second roll. The bagel roll and spider roll were very good. The food is well-priced. Friendly and helpful staff.
We had such a wonderful experience at 65 Kuho Sushi Shabu. It is a hot pot spot. We came a little late so there were only three other families there. The hostess greeted us warmly and we sat down right away. It was very quiet and calm in the restaurant. The food is fresh and it was buffet style, so we were able to order as much as we can eat or handle. There were meat selections for Naj and Vegetarian options for Kay, we both shared the crunchy veggies. They cranked up the pot in the middle of the table with the broth we ordered, the broth can be ordered spicy. When the food came we cooked it in two individual pots. We had a bottle of Nigori sake. We had an overall great experience!
First hot pot experience. Very interesting. Unlimited amounts after you pay the initial. Can also get unlimited sushi. You choose your broth and can choose meats like beef or pork, can get shrimps, or vegetables like tarp, broccoli, corn, some noodles. Really full. You can also make your own dipping sauces which I love.
Great AYCE Sushi for very good price. The service is okay, nothing to write home about, the servers could be more efficient and welcoming. But overall, a good deal for the price and the ambiance.

One of the cheaper spots for ayce and you can tell due to selection and quality but pretty good for the price. The hotpot meat is frozen and often stuck to the plates. I think the best part here is the sushi. I love the sushi but it does take a while as their is only 1 sushi maker. You can't order only ayce sushi which is a bummer but still a pretty good spot to vibe and chill with friends. The waiters arent the most attentive though and can be somewhat rude.
Service is not as good/fast as other hotpot places and the soup base is just OK. This place does have a sushi option for a few dollars more per person. It's a good option if you are undecided on whether you want hotpot or sushi, just get both!
First hot pot experience. Came here on a windy and rainy Friday night looking to warm up. But unfortunately, our server was cold as ice. I was asking her questions trying to grasp the concept of hot pot and she wasn’t very helpful. It seemed as though she was annoyed by having to deal with newbies asking questions. The food was good, I guess. The station with all the sauces and seasonings was empty. We had to ask another server to replenish it and then wait and wait and wait some more…..
i got a la carte menu items here. The sushi and noodle dishes were okay, not the best quality. It was really cheap though. I think this place is better for hot pot so if I come back, I’ll make sure to try that
This was my second time experiencing stomach discomfort after having hotpot here. Moreover, the service was poor. The server became irritated when I ordered food. Initially, I was unsure what to choose. When I wanted to order more, the server remarked, "I know you're going to order more," in an unpleasant tone. I couldn't understand why this attitude emerged. Doesn't it actually save the restaurant money when customers order less? I used to visit about once a month due to the reasonable prices, and the food quality was acceptable. However, I may stop coming because of the poor service and concerns about food hygiene.

Quality is good. However, they will limit you on the amount that you can have of a certain meat without telling you, making you waste a significant amount of time just sitting around waiting. Is that really an AYCE service, then? Don't expect to get a lot of the good stuff is the main point.
Ordered the hot pot and sushi option, both were mediocre. Soup tasted bland and the beef had black edges. You could tell it was pre-sliced and frozen for a while. It was so tough to chew too. Ordered a plate of lamb and it had a foul taste. When we brought it up to the waitress, she scolded us saying “you guys are the first and only table to complain about this. Nobody else here had a problem”. I was so uncomfortable I didn’t even want to finish my food. Service was below average and both waitresses were rude. This place is empty for a reason.
Me and a couple of friends came to this place on a not so busy day and the food was alright but the staff are unprofessional. Since it was just us and one other group in there they kept staring at us while we were eating like why?? Once we finished we paid left a small tip and was walking out the store. One of the waitresses literally ran to us as we were already out of the store asking for more money for a tip, now this isn’t the first time it happened to me it happened twice at two different places beforehand. Now this made me and my friends really upset cuz tips are recommended not required by ny state law. I’ll personally won’t be coming here again due to that like I did the previous restaurants.
no dont come here, first time in my life that my pot stinks like old wet towel when i add lamb and mushroom into my pot, and i can tell their meat was sliced and frozen in the fridge cause the meat was stick to the plate when served, and of course, they were not fresh. they should pay whoever comes to the restaurant cause it is terrible, and i would love to charge them 30 to eat there.
Honestly there’s so many more spots that are a bit pricy but DEFINITELY worth your dinning experience over this 😵💫! By experience, I mean the food, the service, your enjoyment! Went there with a friend at around 6:30pm, not a crowded time but food was coming out sooooo slow. Ordered portions of beef but it was soo little, literally said 5xs and 10xs but it came out looking the same exact quantity which is like one order of what you would get at other hot pot places!! Scamming my time and money literally! Giving my table so little of the meat and like 5xs more of the veggie even tho I placed 1 order of it. Ridiculous. It’s like they’re tryna fill you up with the veggies. Sushi also takes like half an hr for every order you put in. Biggest red flag of this place is the RUDE SERVICE from this middle age lady and finding BUGS TWICE in my broth. Dont know if they let flies going around in the kitchen or they didn’t wash their veggies cleanly. I got a whole lettuce head served so that def does imply they aren’t washing it cleanly bc you’re suppose to wash every layer if that wasn’t common sense🤨🤨! I’ve been there twice before but that was years ago, will NEVER go back. Rather throw my money than come back to this rotten place.
Ordered for pick up and went over there 20 min later and than proceeded Wait another 25 min just to find out my order was already made. Horrible service. Never going again
First of all, this place stinks really bad. You will know what I say when you get into the restaurant I understand they charge you if I have left over. However, they give you lots of portion and how would I expect how much portion will come out? Right? The picture I included is how much I got for just one order of tofu skin. And they say It cannot go back even if I didn’t touch it and they charged me at the end. Food quality was not bad but I don’t recommend this place

First of all, the sushi is not fresh. I still have food poisoning and I went 2 days ago. I have a really high fever (of 103 °) and had to miss work. This is absolutely ridiculous, when I walked in there, there were only two workers and the man making the sushi seemed to be drinking a beer or something while working… I only had a few bites of the sushi and look what it did to me. I can’t imagine how people who eat multiple rolls are feeling right now. I’m so upset, this food poisoning is killing me right now.
Important: I was a regular here for many years. It appears there is a new owner. I knew things were a little off from the last visit — the beef was extremely fatty. Inedible. There was a man drinking beers at the bar. This is the new owner. Our same server for years is now not there. The cilantro at sauce station was wilted and bad. Really sad to see this place to go, it was good and convenient and now it is no longer. Sad to see. Cya Kuho.
