I was checking the reviews before I went there today and it’s surprised me!!! The waiter who served me today was nice, the food is served also quickly. I like the fried noodles, the texture of the noodles is just right👍 The tea flavor of Hong Kong-style milk tea is also very rich.

Checked the reviews and gave it a shot — Perfectly seasoned comfort food. HK classics with wok hei, good portions for the price and cozy vibes.

The other reviews on here that gave it 3 stars or less are pretty harsh reviewers. It’s really not as bad as they say! The atmosphere/decor is immaculate, giving it such a Hong Kong vibe. Makes me feel like I’m actually there! Servers/waiters were super nice. The food was very flavorful, not expensive as others would say and overall very good. The waiter was nice enough to give us the breakfast combo even though it was past the time it said for the combo. The HK style milk tea and the lemon tea were very good! I would def come back again no doubt. Especially the fact that it’s also in Brooklyn is a plus

This was a fun place to brunch and definitely enjoyed the atmosphere! The food was top notch. The flavor was a bomb, especially the pineapple bun sandwich. Portions are standard and was filling. The vibe is trendy, flashy, and cute. Tables and seating were spacious and clean. Contrary to the decor, it was very easy to hold a conversation there with minimal ambient noise. The service was good with the staff being attentive. I will say that because there were a lot going on in the restaurant, the we did need to flag the waiter a few times, but when the waiters were there, service was excellent. Overall, it is a great Sunday brunch spot and definitely will be coming back again. Highly recommend!

Top notch spot, get their noodles, fried anything, iced mixed tea n coffee. Avoid their gimmicky chicken stuffed wings, not worth. Trust, everything else is good and affordable. Much better than HK tea and sushi, and Kowloon.

Excellent cha chan tang in this part of Brooklyn. The menu has all your typical cct classics and their breakfast menu is a great deal in this economy. The food is solid and drinks are good. Service can be a bit slow but the food makes up for it. Decor is really cute and transports you back to HK, even their playlist has all the canto classics. My go to are the beef chow fun, fried squid, chicken wings, imitation shark fin soup, baked pork chop spaghetti, beef tripe, rice noodles with mixed sauce, red bean ice, hk milk tea and anything with the satay beef. They do their chow fun and satay beef extremely well here, chow fun has wok hei and isn't too oily. The satay beef is tender and fresh. I love going to this place and so glad it is near me. Portions for the stir fried items are pretty big and perfect for sharing.

Very cute and trendy Hong Kong Cafe. The decor is very nice and well thought out. It really does give a cool retro kind of vibe in this restaurant mixed with some modern pieces and music playing. I ordered a baked chicken cutlet over rice with Portuguese sauce, beef brisket with turnip, and pepper salt fried squid (calamari) Overall, the food was good the baked dish sauce was creamy and flavorful. The chicken cutlet was crispy and had great texture. Also the fried squid tasted really good and had good texture. The only thing like a lot of other reviews mention is that the portions are smaller than other HK restaurants. Also the servers seem to still be learning and we had to ask for tea after we were seated but overall wasn't anything that bothered me much.

Nice new place. Great, fan interior, clean and spacious. Very friendly and caring staff. The food we tried was really plain, lacking sauce and flavour but very fresh. Beef was the most tender I ever had. Prices and portions are very reasonable. I recommend to try.

I would give 3.5 stars. We enjoy the food and definitely will go back to try some more. My teen said the pineapple bun with egg & chicken filet is good, especially if you eat it fresh & hot. The Ovaltine style french toast is a nice try if you are tired of the original version. Curry fish ball is average, it’s not spicy. Satay beef noodle is good. Curry chicken filet with spaghetti is soso, I find that most of their curry dishes are not that spicy and it’s lacking the HK curry flavor. White sauce is better than curry sauce. The sizzling dish of mixed pork chop & chicken filet and sausage is average. 紅豆冰 Red Bean drink is soso coz the red bean is not good enough, you can only taste the red bean skin, not the whole bean. but overall the food is okay enough to make us wanna come back again

My family heard that a new HK cafe had opened in Brooklyn and we were excited to try it out. When we arrived at 1 PM, they were out of chicken wings and rice rolls, which was a huge letdown for us. Overall their food was decent, I especially liked the beef chow fun and the baked chicken cutlet spaghetti, but service was slow and we had to almost chase the waiters to get water, napkins, and even some of our dishes. The portions were also pretty small in comparison to the price, you can probably get similar food for cheaper and better service around the area.

Food: 5 good hk style dishes. Interested twist to how their chicken was flavored, also very tender. Portions were SMALL compared to other HK Cafes. Fries were yum fried Korean style. Atmosphere: 4 for being original, more hk style theme and color decor. Service was alright in the beginning. Nothing compared to Legend Cafe service. Ultimately it was the waiters response when we asked if there was a difference between credit card vs cash. He sounded agitated and poked at the receipt. Meaning we should have read, before asking such a rhetorical question. Nah man we asked as you were handing us the receipt. But we will return bc food was hit the spot!!!

Let's just start from the moment I walked in. I really like the way the decor was put together. I seemed like a lot of thought and heart went into designing the place. Props to the designers. So I ordered a take out with a pasta in tomato sauce, a soup and a drink. They told me 10 minutes. Ok I sat there for 25 minutes then got up and went to the counter and ask for my food. The food was sitting on the counter the whole time. Alright this was their soft opening let's forgive them, but they had like 8 ppl working there too, but let's move on. The pasta with tomato sauce has like maybe 5 teaspoons of tomato sauce. Absolutely no flavor. There's a lot of cheese, way too much. The soup was delicious and the tea was good for what it's worth. But the service is bad even though they were polite, it's just disorganized. The I went for a dine in the second time. Not many improving in terms of service and food quality. It's still very poorly done.

First time here and will give it a try a second time. When you walk in the restaurant, you definitely feel like you’re in HK with the deigns and the large billboards. They have a telephone booth which was a nice touch. Yes it’s fairly new and the staff were attentive. It wasn’t busy when I arrived with my family and three kids. We ordered the following… pineapple bun with pork chop, chicken wings, fries, the app A2 soup (forgot the name ) wonton soup, the chicken cutlet spaghetti with Hong Kong special sauce, lemon tea drink, milk tea drink, chun special beef tripe, and the B5 toast order. I love the space and how bright the restaurant is. The food is nothing spectacular but it’s also not bad. 3/5 because nothing stood out to me taste wise. I will give it another try and order some rice dishes this time. We also had a jong Kong style noodle dish with chicken. That the kids liked.

A new hk cha chan tang in the area! I would say the decor really mimic a hk dining experience. Service was really attentive. The food though can use some work. The flavor is ok nothing wow about it but the prices and portion size really didn't meet my expectations. I feel compared to the local hk eateries around the neighborhood the portion leans towards a smaller portion. Some prices were ridiculous such as the stuffed chicken wings, very tiny portion , 3 pieces for a whooping 20 bucks... no thank you When ordering , they didn't have certain ingredients in stock so lots of items were not avaliable.

Chun Hong Kong Café — Brooklyn’s Cinematic Cantonese Escape In a stretch of Brooklyn where Hong Kong cafés have long been part of the cultural fabric, Chun Hong Kong Café stands apart—not for reinvention, but for presentation. This is a space crafted with intention and cinematic flair, the kind of room that seems to glow even before you lift your phone. If you’re an Instagram devotee, consider Chun your new playground. The décor is the undeniable star: warm neon washes across glossy tiles, vintage Cantonese motifs mingle with contemporary minimalism, and every sightline feels styled for a perfect frame. It’s a love letter to old Hong Kong, rewritten for New York’s design-forward crowd. Patrons don’t just walk in; they enter a scene. The menu offers a familiar roster of Hong Kong café comfort dishes, prepared with care and served in equally photogenic fashion. The food is good—often satisfying and certainly appealing—but it doesn’t quite meet the high expectations set by the room itself. With several long-established competitors just a few blocks away offering deeper flavors at gentler prices, Chun’s culinary experience feels slightly overshadowed by its own aesthetic ambition. Still, there’s an undeniable charm to dining here. Chun is less about chasing the most flawless bite and more about sinking into an atmosphere that feels transportive, nostalgic, and quietly glamorous. Bottom Line: For those who live at the intersection of taste and aesthetics, Chun Hong Kong Café delivers a singularly stylish experience. Come for the visuals, stay for a pleasant meal, and leave with a camera roll full of reasons to return.

We been here 2 times. The foods here are fine and the location is perfect but the server is really upsetting us. The attitude on his face I cannot describe, he seems not happy with his role. The second time he did not serve us water hence no tips. Good luck.

I recently visited Chun Hongkong Cafe, and I must say, the atmosphere was fantastic. The newly designed interior exudes a very cool Hong Kong vibe, making it a great place to hang out with friends. However, when it comes to the food, I was somewhat disappointed. The dishes were average and didn't quite meet my expectations. In particular, I would advise against ordering the sticky rice chicken wings. Priced at $20, they were a complete letdown and felt like a waste of money. If you've never been to this place, it might be worth trying it out for the ambiance alone. But personally, I don't think I'll be returning.

Everything we had was really underwhelming. The ham and egg sandwich was pathetic: one small slice of ham and the thinnest egg I've ever seen for $5, it was probably just 1 egg used. Also got the Singapore stir fried noodles, looks like they cooked the noodles and barely mixed in the toppings. Came out really dry and only had a hint of curry. Beef chow fun with gravy was probably the best at about a 3 star dish for taste - but could've used more gravy. Also got stir fried udon with pork chop and it was edible but so lacking of flavor. Waiters were nice though. We only came here because our usual place was closed and this place was nearby, but next time we'll just go further for something better.

The prices do not match the menu and after calculating the price difference between this receipt and the menu pricing, it comes to around 3% increase per item. I can’t tell if they raised the menu pricing or they’re just doing shady stuff here because the cash discount is also 3%. The ovaltine lava french toast was good but the wonton noodle soup base was the most bland I’ve ever had. The iced HK milk tea tasted like they mixed in some ovaltine in there and the hot milk tea was also very mediocre and didn’t have any of the authentic rich HK milk tea flavor. Service was fine and straight forward like any cha chaan tangs.
