First time visiting Charlie’s Sandwich Shop, and I have to say that their #17 is out of this world, I don’t know about the rest, but I for sure will come back to try more. Would recommend, 10/10. The guys behind the counter are also very helpful!
Charlies Sandwich Shop turned out to be a great stop. The place feels relaxed and welcoming, and the food comes out fresh and full of flavor. The sandwiches are stacked just right and you can tell they use good ingredients. The team there is friendly and easygoing, which makes the whole visit feel comfortable. If you want a spot that knows how to make a proper sandwich and treats you well, Charlies is an easy recommendation.

I am new to Brooklyn, and This place is absolutely amazing. I come here for lunch at least twice a week, i absolutely love this place. The folks that tend to hang around a lot are very nice and polite. Very NY and very good. I know this is a very urban setting but it reminds me of a sandwich place I used to eat at back in WV. Seems like the kind of folks you’d have over for dinner.
During Lunch It’s recommended you place an order over the phone 45 mins before you pick it up. This is the best Sandwich place in Brooklyn hands down.

Stopped by for lunch while in Bay Ridge for some errands and had an excellent meal. We got the 6 and 7 (although we wanted everything on the menu), and both sandwiches were delicious. Will definitely be back!
My girlfriend and I Just visited Bay Ridge for the weekend from Florida for my birthday looking for the authentic New York Italian sandwich, and let me tell you that Charlie’s is more than impressive! Charlie recommended the #7 and it was absolutely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Delicious and very fresh! Ordered a small side of potato salad to go with it which was phenomenal as well! Charlie was wonderful with hospitality and is a great human being! Can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend!
This is my kind of sandwich 🥪 spot! My wife and I had the #1 which was ham,mozzarella, fried eggplant and mayo, it was delicious and the bread was perfect between that nice crunch and softness style. I can’t wait to try some more!
Went here for the first time today. Ordered the Malaka sandwich. It was delicious, the mozzarella tasted so creamy and fresh. I need to know what mozzarella they use or do they make it themselves, it was so good. Looking forward to coming back to try another sandwich. Bring cash, because it's Cash Only.
Last weekend I had my cousins 1st birthday party and my aunt recommended this place. When I tell you the food was outstanding I mean it! The owner Charlie is a fantastic guy very respectful and honest! His food is to die for, especially the fish, sandwiches and everything he brought! This is getting a 5-Star review! I would highly Recommend this place for your next event! Definitely Worth trying I’m telling you! You won’t be disappointed :)
Meatball sub is a 10/10. Meatballs are absolutely delicious. Chicken parm sandwich is so delicious. Crispy bread toasted to perfection Everything tastes fresh and made with love. Huge sandwich. Nice cheese pull.

It's always good.... I'm a big fan of the bread . The Thursday Special is just a great take on the fresh mozz ,roast beef ,gravy and onions sandwich. It's always about good people ,doing good things. Just another reason to visit Bay Ridge .

Very good sandwiches but the man (with black hair) at the register who takes orders is very unfriendly and rude. Unhappy face. I think you're loosing business because of him. When i want to come to your place i think twice if i want to see him again. I wish you the best.
No flavor to the food, just very basic in my opinion. Meatball parm, meatballs were mush no flavor and dry, chicken francese had no francese lemon flavor, no flour/egg wash just grilled chicken it seemed. Maybe it was an off day. Was expecting bit more, especially with all the hype as a great sandwich shop.
Chicken cutlet isn't fresh at all. A lot of good Italian sandwich places in this area, but this isn't one of them. Very subpar. Don't be fooled by the 4.6 stars
