Exceptional food and great service. Unusual menu with delicious takes on Ecuadorian dishes. Wings are a must try!

Went to the soft open. Tried every Chuzo, delicious. Haven’t had paella that good in a while (paella for 2 might be for 3 with for some people), not sure if a white wine paella would fit the theme but I can hope lol. Fiancé says it’s the best Bloody Mary in bay ridge, it’s spicy and I like it. We got a table quickly, but I suggest making a reservation because this place was packed when we showed up and this was a noodle place that was perpetually empty before. They are doing something right. Update: Breakfast flatbread is great. It’s bigger than you’d think. Also I’m very much a “Murica burger” sort of guy, beef or bison with bacon ketchup mayo blah blah. I might convert because this burger literally melted in my mouth. Add nothing to it. Perfection should not be altered. One of two places in the area where the French fries are actually good. Oh and the staff is great. Very friendly. Finally had the room for dessert. Had some kind of Ecuadorian caramel chocolate thing and it’s a top 5 dessert for me. Shout out to our server (third time there) Nicole Update: just had the Pork Seco. If they ever take it off the menu I am staging a protest. This is delicious. Best item on the menu.

Amazing food. Presentation, Flavor and Freshness. Absolutely delicious. Its a small kitchen and usually packed. But well worth the wait. I've been three times since they opened. I have not been disappointed by a single dish.

I could write an epic novel about Bar Chuzo—a new Bay Ridge gem where warmth, hospitality, and downright incredible flavors come together in perfect harmony. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like part of the family—because owners Ronny and Dana treat every guest as their old friend. Their genuine enthusiasm for top notch food, innovative and tasty drinks, and excellent company shines through in every detail, evident in the care poured into each plate or glass. Ronny and Dana are two of the most genuine, passionate restaurateurs in the business. Their warmth sets the tone: this isn’t just a meal, it’s a celebration of community. Every dish at Bar Chuzo is a testament to bold flavors and top quality ingredients. I’ve never had a single miss. Hands down the best chicken wings I’ve ever had—crispy, juicy, perfectly spiced, and grilled to absolute perfection. The chuzo skewers are also not to be missed. Tender, marinated cuts of meat (or veggies!) grilled over open flame, each one savory and herbaceous. Also, the ceviche?! Imagine the freshest catch of the day, prepared in bright citrus – light, zesty, and impossibly refreshing – the ceviche alone is worth the price of admission. Finally, the cocktail program at Bar Chuzo is outstanding. I highly recommend Ronny’s version of a daquiri – nothing like any daquiri you’ve ever had before. Bar Chuzo has quickly become one of Bay Ridge’s most beloved spots—and for good reason. It’s the place you bring friends who are visiting from out of town, the place you celebrate birthdays, and the place you pop into for a quick happy hour snack that turns into an hours long feast. Reservations are strongly encouraged—seats fill up fast. Beyond the stellar menu, what really sets Bar Chuzo apart is its heart. You’ll leave not only satiated, but smiling—thanks to the thoughtful service, lively ambiance, and the palpable pride the owners take in every detail. It’s more than a restaurant; it’s a gathering place, a party, a warm hug in restaurant form. So do yourself a favor: call up your crew, snag a reservation, and discover Bay Ridge’s new gem - come hungry!

Great craft cocktails and an extraordinary meal. The ceviche, wings and various chuzos was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory.

When Bar Crudo closed in park slope, we were heart broken. Little did we know they were coming back as Bar Chuzo with the same impeccable service and quality, only now, 2 blocks from our house in bay ridge. This place is an absolute 10/10. The oysters, scallop crudo, grilled wings, and Chuzo skewers were all excellent, and the staff is as friendly and welcoming as can be. We’ll be back, often

Bar Chuzo – Where the Paella Deserves a Standing Ovation I came. I saw. I devoured the paella. Bar Chuzo isn’t just a spot to eat—it’s a destination for your taste buds. The paella? To die for doesn’t even cut it. It was a bubbling, cast iron of pure, savory poetry—each grain of rice soaked in flavor like it had a PhD in deliciousness. The seafood was so fresh I expected it to wink at me.

J
Jan Ine

Bar Cruzo anchors the corner of 3rd Avenue and 94th Street in Bay Ridge, serving up Ecuadorian cuisine that’s roughly half seafood—think ceviches, shellfish and daily whole-fish specials—alongside chicken, beef and pork dishes. Stepping inside, you’ll find a sleek, modern dining room bathed in warm light and furnished with clean lines. When we visited on a Monday at 1:30pm, the pace was unhurried—just a handful of tables occupied—while Merengue tunes poured through the speakers, keeping the energy lively even in a midday lull. We slid in on a quiet Monday at 1:30pm—just enough Merengue to tap your foot without needing earplugs—and were promptly offered fizzy or flat water (fizzy, obviously). Enter Lindsey, our server and culinary tour guide, armed with a friendly smile and a QR code to unlock the menu. To start, we couldn’t resist “Mama María’s” Shrimp Ceviche, served alongside crisp, house-made plantain chips. Imagine a citrus bomb—bright lime juice, fresh cilantro—dancing with the perfect pinch of salt, all balanced on those impossibly crunchy chips. If Bar Cruzo sold it by the gallon, we’d clear out their stock. For mains, the Chuzo Combo is the ultimate choose-your-own-adventure: pick three skewers from chicken thigh, NY strip steak, marinated pork butt, spicy chorizo, or a veggie option. Each arrives drizzled with a tangy “magical” sauce and accompanied by golden yuca croquettes, buttery Andean corn, and a shot of house hot sauce guaranteed to wake your taste buds. Our MVPs were the chicken and the strip steak—both meltingly tender, richly seasoned, and cooked medium-rare to perfection. The pork was solid, though next time I’d brine it for an extra punch; my dining partner swore the chorizo was a revelation of smoky spice. Pro tip: those online photos downplay the portions. We happily packed up enough leftovers to fuel a small army. Lindsey tempted us with desserts—think velvet flan and zesty fruit parfaits—but we were so blissfully sated that the most decadent thing we could manage was dreaming about next time. At $85 for an appetizer and two hearty entrees (before tip), Bar Cruzo feels like a steal—$42.50 per person for a ticket to Ecuador’s vibrant flavors, right in Bay Ridge. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or a meat-and-potatoes loyalist, this spot has earned a permanent place on our list of neighborhood champions. Next visit, we’re eyeing their whole fish special and swapping stories with the chef about that secret ceviche marinade—because once you’ve tasted Bar Cruzo, every other meal feels like just an appetizer.

From the moment you walk in the place comes alive with the aromas from the food and the music. Your are greeted at the entrance with a smile from Jennifer our waitress. My first visit to BarCuzo was a wonderful experience! Jennifer, my server, greeted me right away with a warm smile and knew the menu well. I ordered the seafood paella, which wasn’t exactly to my taste as it was a bit heavy on spices and tomato sauce. What really impressed me, though, was the owner and chef, Ronny. He personally came to check on my meal, offered me a shrimp skewer dish that was absolutely delicious, and even provided it complimentary. His kindness and genuine hospitality are rare to find in restaurants today. BarCuzo made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place for both the food and the exceptional service! I’ll definitely be back!

SO GOOD! I visited Bar Chuzo for the first time with my family of 7 people in total for a birthday dinner and was pretty blown away. I feel like it's rare for a restaurant to do meat, vegetarian, and cocktails all really well. So much attention to detail and taste in each category. My dad gave the meat a 9.5/10 rating, the vegetarian items were all out of this world. Unique, complex flavors, and so many options to choose from. The cocktails - outrageously delicious. I will be back to try more, for sure! The service was so friendly, attentive, and happy. The ambiance was lively, which was wonderful (though the volume of the music could benefit from being turned down just a little bit :-). Lastly - the tres leche cake - OUT OF THIS WORLD. I was recommending this place to friends via text message before I even left the restaurant. And I am making plans to return for happy hour in the very near future. Such a great addition to Bay Ridge!

My wife and I just went for the first time. The wait staff is excellent. The food was amazing, one of the best meals we had. We ordered the zucchini flat bread; one of the best things we've had ever. The chicken chuzo, streak chuzo and shrimp chuzo were all extremely tasty, my wife who is picky with chicken absolutely loved it. We will be coming back to try everything else on the menu.

Definitely a gem in bay ridge, more than happy to have such a great place in our neighborhood, the vibe is amazing, the music selection is very good but the food really takes the main here! Everything is fresh and authentic, the course of the food came on time, the service was great and even if we visit on a busy day, hostess and Mike took care of us and helped us promptly… I highly recommend this spot, the hype is real, is my second time dining in, also order delivery and the food quality ever changed! Best Latin bistro with Ecuadorian influence 💕

Wonderful experience! The food and cocktails were delicious. We ordered the NY strip chuzo, the brasa wings, and the llapingachos with chorizo. We left stuffed. The Crystal cocktail was delightful if you enjoy a gin/citrus blend. Our waiter Luis was attentive and kind. We can’t wait to come back!

Came here on a Monday night at 7pm and it was packed! I defintiely recommend making reservations. The food was delicious! The highlight of the meal was the signature Chuzos. They were tender and not dry at all. We didn’t like the paella as much because the rice seemed to be a little undercooked. However, service was amazing and our waitress was very friendly. The sangrias were delicious! They have happy hour from 4-6pm Monday to Fridays with oysters. Definitely will try next time

Went there to eat dinner solo tonight. Could not wait to come outside and leave a review. The steak chuzo literally one of the best things I have had in years. The ceviche was fresh and delicious. The hostess and server were super helpful and accommodating. What a welcome addition to Bayridge. This place is going to do great here for years.

Good spot and a change from the neighborhood restaurants. Ordered crab cake and a margarita. (Crabcake $19, too expensive 🤷🏻‍♀️, I don't know. It was yummy). Drink was tasty. I would like slushy for my frozen margarita but other than that all good. It came out chill. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Seating outside or inside. Great ambiance. Windows/doors open. Great for the good weather.

Bar Chuzo is an absolute gem. The food was incredible. We had ceviche, chuzos (skewers), and paella. Everything tasted really fresh and exciting. The service was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. We arrived at 10pm and were put at ease right away an told the kitchen would be open until 11. The staff made sure everything was perfect all night long. Ambiance-wise it was not loud, on a nice summer night the doors were open to a quiet street. A cute restaurant and not a bar serving food like the name could have suggested. We sincerely feel like we discovered a new New York staple before everyone else. Thank you to Jennifer and everyone working there for having us, we can’t wait to come back.

In a city where culinary innovation often overshadows tradition, Bar Chuzo arrives as a refreshing, soul-stirring reminder of the power of authenticity. More than just a restaurant, it is a love letter to Latin America—particularly to Ecuador—wrapped in the warmth of a communal table and the sizzle of a well-seasoned grill. What sets Bar Chuzo apart is not just its menu, but its mission: to educate, to celebrate, and to unite. Every dish becomes a lesson in heritage, each bite layered with history and care. To know the heart of Ecuadorian cuisine is to taste it here—where ingredients are elevated, not reinvented; where flavor is honored, not diluted. There is a palpable sense of belonging when you sit down at Bar Chuzo. It’s in the way the staff welcomes you like family, in the familiar aromas that drift from the kitchen, in the joy shared among patrons who’ve found something rare—food that feeds more than just hunger. It’s hard not to feel a quiet pride knowing that this place now calls our neighborhood home. Bar Chuzo is more than a welcome addition—it is a culinary cornerstone. I implore anyone who values community, culture, and tremendously scrumptious food to experience it for themselves.

My first time here and will be coming again!!! Food was incredible. The meats for the signature Chuzos were bursting with flavor and other plates like the rotisserie chicken sandwich were very well portioned. There was also delightful live music from a wonderful guitarist to accompany our brunch! Staff was very kind and hospitable and our server Lindsay was excellent. Highly recommend this spot!

Solid all around. Wings and skewers were the highlights. Roasted chicken was juicy and flavor packed but I’d try different dishes next time like the pork Secco. Agua Chile and bone marrow were good as well. Solid drinks too like the Dusk In Oaxaca

This was my first time here and I was impressed! Our server was attentive even when the place got packed out and there was never a need to wait for more than 5 minutes if we wanted to order something else. The star was definitely the food- the seafood toward was amazing and everyone at my table got a different entree each of which was delicious!

This is easily one of the best and most interesting restaurants in Bay Ridge now. We have enough Italian spots - many fantastic - as well as other cuisines. But the Ecuadorian food at Bar Chuzo is so perfectly complex and delicious, and a great addition to things around here. Each of the three dishes we had was fantastic: the Tuna Aguachile with tortilla chips was like a party in our mouths; the Shrimp Chuzos was some of the best shrimp I've ever had, and the accompanying yuca croquettes were great; and the Seafood Paella was unbelievably layered and delicious. Our waiter Luis was super friendly and took time to recommend choices. Overall the vibe was loud and lively but ambient enough that you can focus on your partner if you wanna talk (though leaned in so you can hear). Super excited they're here, and hope they stay.

So obsessed with this place I went 6 times in their opening month- the Crystal cocktail is DIVINE, and every single dish I try (I go for something different each time) is packed with authentic, incredible flavors. Staff is so kind and attentive. Brassy bachata/reggaeton music brings the absolute vibes. I can’t sing their praises enough. I bring everyone I love here- we’ve already celebrated 3 family birthdays here and won’t be stopping anytime soon!

This restaurant was lovely. The service was great. We had fish and chips. Delicious grilled bronzino cooked perfectly with plantains and a spectacular burger cooked perfectly. Our favorite spot in the neighborhood. We eat here regularly and recently used their event space to host a wedding dinner. We have nothing but good things to say. The decor, music, food, drinks, and most of all the service are exemplary. Very happy to have this place in south Brooklyn.

Wish I give 100 stars and it still wouldn’t suffice! Owners Dana and Ronnie never cease to amaze with their outstanding hospitality, delectable menu choices and amazing cocktails. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but my favorite will always be their paella. Do yourselves a favor and head over there asap.

I started coming out to Bay Ridge because I was a semi regular at its precious incarnation, Chuzo Culture in Park Slope, and I missed their wings. I am happy to report the wings are as good as ever, and I tried many more dishes in multiple visits- dinner, brunch, afternoon eats. I honestly cannot tell you my fav dish, they were all amazing and special- from the crab cake eggs Benedict, to the French toast, or their amazing roast chicken. All in all a must go in Brooklyn.

C
Carmen Ruemmele

We went here for the first time and we were blown away with how amazing the food and the wait staff were. We got an order of wings and patacones for appetizers. We have never had wings that were so flavorful and the patacones had the perfect crunchiness and the sauces they gave us for the patacones the green sauce was so delicious. Our entree we both decided on the Combo Platter which had 3 skewers of 1 chicken and 2 pork, yucca croquettes and Ecuadorian corn. Everything on that plate was really good but OMG those yucca croquettes were so good we ordered more to take home. The wait staff were very friendly, pleasant and very helpful. We decided we are going to come back. You know a place has good food when it is packed. They open at 11am and by 12pm they were packed

A
Abigail Wong

I just wanted to say the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Krastina, was so attentive and gave the best recommendations and reminders that our food was coming. I came mainly for the happy hour drinks and oysters, everything was so fresh. I loved the scallop crudo, the mango puree was tart and sweet. We got the bone marrow, a little too salty and greasy for our liking, but we had 3 dozens of oysters. The drinks were innovative and the seafood paella was great. We just wish there was more calamari in the dish We would definitely come back for the food!

Bar Chuzo is one of those restaurants where you can immediately tell they get it right. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted in such a warm, genuinely welcoming way—it sets the tone right away. The atmosphere is cozy and fun, the kind of place that makes you feel comfortable instantly. The drinks are excellent. I tried one of their mocktails and it was honestly amazing. For starters, we had the wings and two orders of Chuzo’s, and everything was fantastic. The wings in particular were outstanding. For dinner, I had the pork seco and absolutely loved it. This is the kind of place you leave already thinking about what you’ll order next time. Can’t wait to return.

A
Alex Karambelas

This place is so incredible! The space is cozy and warm and the staff are all wonderful. But the food is absolutely impeccable. Like, unbelievably good. We got the Brasa wings which came with this sauce that I wish I could just drink; it's so delicious. We also got the combo chuzo and between two of us tried chicken, steak, chorizo, and shrimp. None were misses. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The sweet plantains are also wonderful and not your typical maduros. The rice pudding is also AMAZING. 10/10 across the board. I can't wait to come back here with more people!

This was our first time at Bar Chuzo and it definitely won’t be the last! The vibe is warm and inviting, with a great mix of energy and comfort that makes you want to stay awhile. The drinks were fantastic, creative, balanced, and clearly made with care. The food was just as impressive, packed with flavor, fresh and perfect for sharing. On top of it all, the staff was attentive and genuinely friendly, which made the experience feel extra special. A real gem in Bay Ridge Brooklyn.

A perfect date night! We got seated in the extended section and it was a beautifully decorated, cozy establishment. A gorgeous Christmas tree lighting the romantic and brooding atmosphere, a wall of light in glass containers, creative artwork adorning another wall. Food: The Brasa wings are divine - juicy chicken seasoned to perfection, a gentle sweetness permeating through each wing. The basil aioli needs to be sold in its own bottle, because wow! I actually got pretty full from just the wings, but the Chuzo burger lured me in - hello caramelized onions and cheese?! A large burger and a substantial portion of fresh French fries accompanying it. Dessert: Ecuadorian Chocolate Crema Catalana. Enough said. Treat yourself. Service: Incredibly kind, thoughtful, generous. Shout out Francisco!

The Brasa Wings was absolutely amazing!! Rich flavors poured out within the first bite. Probably my 2025 best wings for the year! And don't sleep on the Chuzo Salad. Super fresh ingredients with freshly a made vingeratte. Super satisfying. Both are a most try!! Everyone is super friendly and efficient. This restaurant seems to now be the neighborhood highlighted spot!

What can I say? I just love Bar Chuzo my favorite spot in Brooklyn you can come with family or friends, and they’ve got a chill bar area in the back where you can have amazing drinks. The vibes are always good, everyone’s super friendly, and they always make sure you’re happy with your food! My go tos are the chicken chuzos, French toast, Chuzo burger, and Chuzo chaulafan , and Pork seco, and the paella 🫶🏼

Bar Chuzo is the newest and hottest restaurant in Bay Ridge and soon to be in all of Brooklyn. We tried the seafood paella and it was our first time trying. The flavors were incredible and the seafood on top, when mixed with aioli and rice underneath, was so incredible. The cocktails are amazing; the Bay Ridge Baby is my all time favorite cocktail. They have a new negroni menu so we tried the Adult Candy. It was fruit forward and balanced. For appetizers, we had scallop crudo, zucchini flatbread, and brasa wings with spicy peanut sauce. For entrees, we had the special lobster fried rice, steak chuzo, and seafood paella. Every single dish was incredibly delicious and zucchini flatbread flavors were soo amazing. I think I would order that every time I go. The steak chuzo was cooked to perfection and you can tell they prepared it with love. The owner Ronny is so genuine and the server Jenn is awesome. The service was excellent and we had a great time celebrating my mom's birthday with a tres leche cake at the end.

Amazing food and drinks! Such a unique place. The grilled wings are to die for. We used to go to their park slope location all the time and were sad that it closed down. But the new location is even better, nice atmosphere. Loved the new items on the menu. The breakfast plantain nachos were amazing! Would definitely come back.

This was my families first time and we were welcomed by the staff. The food was delicious, the decor and ambiance is modern and cozy. We ordered a few items off the menu : stuff French toast, crab cake sandwich with Fries, chicken skewers, salad as a vegan option for my aunt. We will be retuning for dinner soon ! Thank you for the hospitality 💜

Ridiculously, insanely tasty food. Beats out every other cuisine in Bay Ridge and rivals many Manhattan food spots. Will wow your taste buds, if you have any. Came here with a small group on a whim, and were blown away by every single dish that touched our table. We were initially drawn in by the char grilled meat aroma wafting down the block, and were sat outside by the host (a kind accommodation, since the place was full). I love being able to enjoy amazing food outside on a pleasant day, and had fun people watching. Service was amazing even though the place was packed and busy (and getting busier; reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends). Prices were extremely fair for the quality of the food. As for the food itself, it just tasted so fresh, authentic, and well made. Dishes were packed with flavor and the sauces that accompanied the plates were fantastic on their own. Tuna aguachile, llapingachas, and combo platter were standouts. We also had to try the only 2 desserts on the menu, and both were to die for. Shoutout to the chef, the manager, the owners, our servers Jen and Kiki, and their mamas. 10/10 will be back!!

I watched them build out this place every day until it was opened. The owner gave me such a good vibe talking about what he’s was putting together. I couldn’t wait to eat something in there. Ronny one of the owner operators brought his Ecuadorian family recipes to Brooklyn. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The Full bar is behind the restaurant on the block. Its a separate entrance to go from the restaurant to the bar. To bring up the menu you scan a QR code that is displayed on the table and the menu shows up on your phone. They serve Breakfast ,Brunch and Dinner. If you go during Brunch stroll down to Entrees and you will see breakfast options as well. Make sure you try his famous family desserts that he grew up on eating.

We had the best experience at Bar Chuzo for brunch. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and it’s a great corner spot with outdoor seating and the big windows open so even sitting inside you get to experience the nice weather. The tuna aguachile was delicious with fresh tuna and avocado and the chips served with it were great. The Ecuadorian breakfast was a smorgasbord of delicious things… I’m not even the biggest chorizo fan and it was delicious! The potato cakes had a great sauce and the fried eggs were cooked perfectly. The Bloody Mary is one of the best in the city, spicy and loaded with horseradish. Overall highly recommend checking out this awesome new addition to the neighborhood! (Also, soon they’re going to open a cocktail bar next door… hooray!!)

Visited Bar Chuzo for the second time for my husband's birthday brunch. The food was amazing again, and super filling! We had the calamari for appetizer, which was crispy and delicious. I had the Ecuadorian breakfast and my husband had the steak chuzo. We also did the bottomless option and were able to try all the marg flavors. They were each soo good, and refreshing! There was a great musician playing live guitar, which set the mood for a lively but peaceful Sunday morning (as the snowmageddon began!). The service was amazing, our waitress was so friendly, and the bottomless drinks were flowing. 10/ 10 would recommend, just be sure to get a reservation - both times I've been the place gets packed!

My wife and I tried Bar Chuzo for date night and were seriously impressed. We started with the Wing War–winning wings — now I get the hype. The oysters and shrimp cocktail were super fresh, and the bone marrow with oysters and toast was rich and perfectly executed. For entrées, we shared the mixed chuzo (chicken, pork, chorizo) and the fried rice with shrimp, pork, and sweet plantains. Both were packed with flavor and cooked beautifully. Dessert sealed it — tres leches, chocolate crema catalana, and Pedro Jimenez sherry. Perfect finish. Chef Ronny even stopped by our table to chop it up, which we appreciated, and our server Krastina was a total pro. Great food, great service, great experience. We’ll be back.

I love this restaurant. Every time I have been here, the food is amazing, the service is incredible and the atmosphere so so inviting. There’s no other place like it in the neighborhood. The cocktails are unique and delicious. Food recommendations…. All the chuzos, the paella, the wings and the yuca bites. Next thing I want to try is their brunch!

Update – The manager went above and beyond to make everything right. Next time I will dine in to fully experience the ambience and food. Spectacular Customer Service and I am very impressed. This is for delivery only. I want to start off by saying that speaking to May was the most delightful part of my experience. She was so very kind and helpful and really cared about making sure I had a good experience. I ordered a chicken Chuzo and steak Chuzo for delivery. What I received was a pork Chuzo and the steak Chuzo. Unfortunately the steak was so very tough that I could not eat it. Even though my mom does not eat pork, I tried it and found that to be quite tender and delicious so I ate most of the pork Chuzo. Hopefully I will get refunded for the steak. Other than that, the delivery was fine and May was wonderful.

This was my second time eating here and we tried the seafood paella, which at first glance, looked small, but once we dug in, was so rich tasting, abundant with seafood and had that required burnt tasting crunchy rice at the bottom, we knew it was more than enough! The service was outstanding at all levels, from our friendly waitress to the table clearers. I finished off with a warm and caramel forward tres leches. So good! We will be going back for sure!

Nice ambiance, food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the chicken wings and the sweet plaintains. So sweet because they comped us the plantains because the wong’s were taking much longer to serve. I really hadn’t noticed because we were talking. But that’s incredibly kind and generous. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t tried it but it was very good.

The place itself is really nice and the servers and everyone is super friendly and welcoming. However the service was very slow and it was way too loud in there.. kind of messing the experience a bit. It took a long time to even get our drinks and in between our appetizer and entree we waited a while. Personally we did like most of the food we order including the Mama Maria’s ceviche , NY Strip chuzos and the sauces they served with it. I didn’t really like the Half chicken entree :( . I gave them the benefit of the doubt though seeing as they are relatively new and still working out a few kinks.

Extremely slow service. Food brought out separately. By the time I got my food, my bf was done eating his. The atmosphere seemed cool but we ate outside, so I can't give it more stars.

In my opinion, the food there was mediocre. Waiter was super nice. Very nice open door. Crab cake sandwich and lobster roll was like a 6/10 at most. Wings were big and meaty but not enough flavoring

Ordered for delivery 1/4 rotisserie and fries. The chicken was very bland and a bit dry. I did like the green sauce but there wasnt enough for the entire meal. Due to the bland chicken I am not looking to try their food in person.

C
Christopher Onzo

Just no. The place is far too loud to enjoy being there with another person. Food was just not very good... everything had one flavor, salt. The drinks were ok, when they came. I ordered a second drink and it never came, we decided to just pay the bill and leave. It wasn't on the bill, yet when I looked later there was a second drink we did not order. Which curiously wasn't even the drink I didn't get, just something else. I 100% blame myself for not seeing the additional drink until I looked again later, we just wanted to get out of there. The waitress was just going through the motions of knowing the menu, but no shot she knew it. She took a very long time to notice us wanting the check. Usually when napkins are on the table and forks and knives are crossed, drinks empty, its a pretty good indication the party is over. In a neighborhood full of solid food, solid service and good ambiance this place fails on every single level.

J
Jerry

Honestly, as an individual born and raised in Ecuador, for 30 years, I have to be honest and say that if you want to try real Ecuadorian food with it's original look and taste, this is not the place. Food here tastes good but just not authentic. It seems more like a glamorized version that doesn't feel native to the roots, its just confusing. I tried yapingacho and it's first time I see one like that lol, it's a whole different dish, like an invented version. Also, super expensive for the amount of food you get, not coming back. So basically it's overpriced food that is branded as Ecuadorian, tastes like from anywhere else, and looks american. If you ever watched El Chavo you know what I mean, las aguas frescas.

Had a really disappointing experience here tonight. Set a reservation for four people at 6pm and when we came in we were seated at a table that was right up against another table that had a huge bassinet stroller open next to our table making it uncomfortable for four people to sit. Seeing that there were other tables free we asked to sit at another table and were informed that they were reserved already, completely understandable. When we finally sat down one of our tables were so wobbly that it was not really usable and two people had to try and stabilize it by adding paper and napkins to the feet. This went on for about 5-6 minutes and was pretty uncomfortable because there wasn’t really any space to move and our waters and silverware almost kept falling off the table or spilling. We were almost done with our meal when the table we had originally asked to move to was finally occupied and the party only had two people for a spacious booth while we were cramped. Unfortunately even though the food was good we won’t be back due to the service.

I ordered the seafood paella to go the and the mussels were spoiled. For about 40$ not worth.

C

I used to frequent this place and used to love it. The food quality has declined, servers always look scared, and if you sit close enough to the kitchen you can hear the hostility management has towards their staff. Our appetizers and entrees got to us before our drinks did. I swear I think there was just one server the whole time with no one to help? The lapinganchos we got were still cold inside and the chuzos were like warm. Happy hour seems more like a daycare center than a happy hour.

D
Daniela Quintero S.

The place is super small and uncomfortable; you're practically sitting on top of the person next to you. Besides that, I ordered two sunny-side-up eggs, and they brought them so overcooked and burnt that I could taste the used oil. Then I ordered a steak skewer, and instead of bringing it on a separate plate, they put it right on top of my eggs! Disastrous! And for only three things we ordered, it cost $60, and that didn't even include drinks.
