How did I not know about this place sooner?!?!? I made a reservation and was able secure a indoor table. It’s quit cozy so if you want a table book in advance. The staff is so nice and extremely helpful. The menu has a lot of vegetarian options which made me so happy. My server was very patient and answered a lot of questions I had about the menu. The menu has so much variety. I struggled to decide which is a good problem. I happily enjoyed the fettuccine wild mushroom special. It was delightful. The wine menu is well curated and affordable. I cannot wait to come back so I can eat my way through the menu.
As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made pasta. I was seated at a cozy table and perused the extensive menu, which was filled with a variety of classic Italian dishes. I ultimately decided on the spaghetti carbonara and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the creamy sauce was bursting with flavor. In addition to the excellent food, the service was top-notch. The waitstaff were attentive and made sure that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a fancy date night, it's the perfect spot. Buon appetito!
An amazing ambiance. Spectacular service from Allison. Amazing maitre'd by the impeccably dressed Alonso. (The owners should be sure to give them a hefty raise, for their grace and care). The food was amazing. (Try the calamari. Perfectly cooked) It was a blessed and wonderful Sunday brunch. Only a crazy person would not come to this amazing place.
Great food. The meatballs and the polenta with wild boar are amazing. Definitely save room for their super light and flavorful tiramisu or warm olive oil cake! Minor critique, I re-visited and the meatballs were not as delicate and moist as the first time around but overall great food with fair prices.
The backyard was lovely and Aiden was a great server!
Now I understand why Dino's is always crowded. I had dinner for the first time there last night and it was delicious. Alfonso our server was amazing. Alfonso made some of the best Sangria I think I've ever had. I highly recommend it, and suggest you go early and make a reservation.
I hadn’t gone to Dino for about 2 years since leaving the area, but recently came back for dinner and dessert this past weekend. Everyone was so wonderful, I can’t even thank them enough! We squeaked in towards the end of the night (which as someone in the service industry, I know is not the best) and they were so accommodating. Our waiter was so lighthearted and funny and the hostess who sat us even checked in on us after we left. All this for the review, and I didn’t even talk about how good the food is. Absolutely delicious. I will be coming back even though it’s a bit far from me just because of the wonderful staff!
Small and cozy Italian place. We managed to get a 6-person reservation day of, and they sat us at a big table in the back. Excellent service — our waiter was so sweet and asked the other people in my party who were visiting where they were from and made conversation with them. Food: the limon pasta w/ anchovies on top (add-on) and carbonara were both amazing pastas and the sautéed calamari was super fresh and delicious. We all ordered bowls of the minestrone which was fantastic too. Excited to come back with a friend for brunch and sit outside to people watch on Dekalb.
Not every Italian restaurant offers it, but when they do I always order Spaghetti Carbonara. Its a simple dish and it’s my favorite. There are always variations, some restaurants add cream, some will serve the pancetta in tiny cubes, some like this rendition are ethereal, no cream, lots of cheese and pancetta that were flat crispy discs. Finished it off with few good cranks of the pepper mill, it was very delicious and I was very happy.
As new and more expensive restaurants take over the neighborhood, Dino stands out as a Fort Greene staple that consistently delivers quality food at reasonable prices. My wife can't go more than a month without getting their delicious orecchiette. Me? I love the cacio e pepe. And we always get the incredibly fresh Burrata to start, which is listed as a "special" but has consistently been on the menu for the 8 years I've been eating here. Don't forget about brunch here, either. Solid brunch food with a mix of different dishes from savory to sweet (and I'm always washing them down with their awesome blood orange margarita...at 11am....don't judge). And with the weather getting nicer, their quaint patio out back is perfect to relax and hang with friends. Support this place...they've earned it.
I love that Dino's is a consistently delightful dining experience that includes delicious Italian cuisine and exceptional service in a small yet very comfortable environment. I'm partial to anything bolognese, and the basket of bread is very tasty. I have been to Italy seven times, and Dino's comes close to recreating the ambiance of an authentic Italian restaurant.
A lovely Brooklyn destination with great food and great service. Aidan is a star! Will come back again.
Dino has been a neighborhood favorite for years!! Delicious pasta, exciting specials, and lovely staff always!!
This is one of my favorites spots in the neighborhood. I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is always welcoming and cozy.
I hosted a private event in their second floor private event space and it was fantastic! The staff was amazing and the family style food exceeded expectations and we received multiple compliments from guests! It's the perfect space to host an intimate dinner party and so so so reasonable compared to other spots in NYC. Dino, thank you for helping make a milestone birthday so special!!
Everything was so good! The pasta was some of the best I've had in NYC. We got fig and espresso ice cream and both were yummy. For 2 appetizers 2 entrees and 2 desserts it was about $40 each which isn't bad at all. Great music (erykah badu, jackson 5, amy winehouse) and the staff was on top of it and very friendly. Highly recommend and will be coming back!
I lost myself in the chiken parmigiana. The portion is huge and perfect. Leftovers for weeks. The steak is so nice. Balsamic glaze!?!? Who would have thought. If comfort is what you are looking for. Try the rigatoni ragu. It makes you feel like you are being tucked in bed by a giant meAtball that cooks like the Italian grandmother you never had. Get whisked away by the tiramisu. Layers upon layers apon layers….. Of tiramisu.
Just came here on a Thursday night and it was excellent! Alfonso took great care of us - we had a party of four and he kindly offered to switch us to a more comfortable table as soon as it became available. The food was incredible - definitely ask for fresh pasta dishes here!
What a great dinner and vibe. We sat out in the backyard and were looked after by the lovely and attentive Diane. She was on the mark with her wine and food suggestions! I really enjoyed the orecchiette. Thank you for the great service. Would definitely go back!
I always have a lovely time here. I always take friends in the neighborhood and they are happy to discover this gem. Aidan took good care of us when I went for lunch. Cannot recommend enough!
We hosted a private lunch for 19 people in the upstairs dining room to celebrate our son’s engagement. The food and service were outstanding. The entire experience was so pleasant from start to finish. Portia is a gem!
Cat, so amazing, knew exactly when I needed my second cocktail, later helped me pair an Americano and Trimasu to finish the night. She is the real home run of this place, even let me lick the bowl of my Orcheta Pasta, the best dish on the menu!!!
Had such a BEAUTIFUL evening at Dino! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood<<33 Amazing service from Aidan, Star, and Dani:))
The restaurant downstairs was full, we didn’t have a reservation at 8pm on a Friday night… the lady kindly offered showing upstairs and indicated that it was empty though. We looked upstairs, it was a very cute space so we decided to stay. Then another young lady came to us, very personal service, very kind and accommodating. Then the food was served and everything was delicious. I’m not sure why the restaurant is rated 4.2! I definitely recommend.
I went there for lunch and had only penne, but it was so good im definitely going back for dinner! It is a bit expensive for lunch though- 20$ including tip. A friend of mine recommended me black pasta with seafood-thats what I will be tasting next time. The place was almost empty during lunchtime and the waitress was very friendly.
Crisp crostinis, fresh pasta, excellent cocktails, and standout service from our server Aidan. Great vibes all around!!!
Food was SOOOOO GOOD! I will dream of the gnocchi forever. I planned a large group dinner (15 people) and reserved the private space upstairs. The entirety of planning was so seamless. They worked with me on some dietary restrictions (some gluten intolerance at a pasta restaurant was a risk) but all of their recommendations were so good! We had assorted crostini, Caesar salad, gluten free rigatoni siciliana (it was with the GF penne and honestly no one could even tell that it was GF), spinach gnocchi pomodoro (EVERYONE’S favorite WOW it was so pillowy and delicious), and assorted desserts all of which were fantastic. We had 1 waitress for the group for all of the drink orders which worked out nicely, and she let us play our own music and everything. Again - whole planning process was seamless, dinner itself was seamless and the food was fantastic.
Had a great dinner here on the recommendation of friends. Pastas were all well done and the desserts are highly recommended!
Dino is essential Fort Greene. Everything is phenomenal, everyone is great. Especially our often-server Aidan. Love this place.
What a charming small eatery that is. I loved the fennel salad. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection. The chicken Milanese was also excellent.
Reliable pasta spot with a great deal on deliveries!! I’ve spent new years here and also enjoyed just casual meals. Great spot!!
Great spot, super cute ambiance. Food is delicious, quick to come out. Shout out to Diane who was super sweet and attentive !
I was a little bummed when moving out of the Village to Brooklyn and leaving my comfort food (Spaghetti Limone from Supper or Lil’ Frankie’s). Dino’s version is even better - adding a little spice to the pasta dish.
Don't trust the negative reviews. This is a classic neighborhood spot that's been around for a while. There might be better restaurants on the street for something flashy or unique, but you will always get consistently good food here. I'm thankful that gentrification hasn't completely pushed out businesses like this that are unfussy and welcoming to people like me who have been in the neighborhood for 11+ years. My favorites are the spaghetti carbonara (with egg!), the fennel salad, the tiramisu, and the lemon ricotta pancakes.
I have had dinner at Dino a couple of times now and it is a very good neighborhood Italian restaurant. Several of the starters including the artichoke, & the calamari are very tasty. The Caesar salad is solid as well. While I only had the skirt steak this visit, my friends were big fans of the Limone and a couple other pastas as well as the eggplant parm and roasted chicken. Wines by the glass and bottle are solid values and pair well with the food. While this is not the cutting edge of Italian cuisine like some of the west village establishments, this is a great option when you want good food, at a quaint neighborhood restaurant.
Great food. Especially the skirt steak. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Good wine list. Excellent cocktails. Classy cozy interior. Good hours.
I’m chocolate lover so when I saw the warm chocolate cake in the dessert menu, I didn’t hesitate to order it. I confess is my favorite at these area!! I even order it as delivery!! With this pandemic, the new patio is really friendly and refreshing! Staff is really attentive..
Really cute space with outdoor area. The food was fantastic I just ordered the carbonara and it was deliciously made. Quick service, very attentive staff.
Top-notch food with an incredible staff, like Aidan, to match! I’ve been to Dino time and time again and have, quite literally, never had a bad meal or felt a bad vibe. If only all restaurants were as committed to quality…
I had my birthday dinner here (party of 6) and it was perfect. We sat at the large table tucked in the back. The food was excellent and a great red wine selection. We tried all the crostini, the eggplant was our favorite. We also had the polenta bites and calamari, all were delicious. For my main I had the lamb chop special in a balsamic reduction over spinach and mash potatoes, 10/10, no notes.
This is my local haunt and for good reason. The food, atmosphere, and service are stellar. A HUGE shout out to Dani and Eva for always making me feel welcome and taken care of. Grateful, you two keep me coming back. If you haven’t tried Dino’s come on by. If you like Indian food, try Dosa Royal, their sister restaurant. The food is also excellent, it’s like eating in Delhi.
The perfect middle ground between upscale and casual! Quaint courtyard in the back and antique charm throughout. The upstairs space is perfect for small parties if you’re looking to host an event. Sadly the Peroni on tap has been unavailable for many of my last visits.. but Shannon the bartender makes up for it with her charm and alternate suggestions:)
I had such a fabulous experience at Dino. I have been coming here for maybe 7 years or so, and the staff has always been lovely. Special shout out to Lydia my server for being super nice, and the manager Shannon (who is exceptionally sweet). I don’t drink, and I was literally recommended one of the best drinks thus far - club soda and cranberry juice! Lol My life has been changed. I high recommend you dine or have a drink here.
An absolute favorite local spot of mine and some of the best homemade italian food in the neighborhood. Love the cozy vibe of the inside and the back patio is also so lovely. The service is always great- our server tonight named Aidan was especially delightful! Can’t recommend this place enough!
We had our engagement dinner at Dino last October, and it was honestly perfect. I can’t put into words how grateful I am to the entire team for making the night so special. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Everyone — from the hostess to the servers — was so kind, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure our evening went smoothly. The upstairs room was exactly what we hoped for: warm, cozy, and intimate, the perfect setting for our celebration with close friends and family. We arrived about 30 minutes early to set up, and the staff immediately jumped in to ask if they could help with anything. It was such a relief and made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was incredible — every dish came out perfectly timed and absolutely delicious. The servers were attentive without being intrusive, kept the wine flowing, and made sure every guest felt taken care of. It was one of those rare nights where everything just felt right. Dino made it unforgettable, and I’m still smiling thinking about it. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to host a special event. Truly, they made our night magical.
I just had my bridal shower at Dino and it was 10/10! To start, the owners were very responsive when inquiring about availability and figuring out all of the details leading up to the event. We used their private space, which is perfect for an event as it has its own entrance and a cozy, intimate ambience. They were very accommodating allowing me to come by half an hour early to set up before guests started arriving. The food was DELISH and timed out super well throughout our event as it was served family style. If you're looking for a place to hold your event, whether it be a bridal shower, birthday dinner, or rehearsal dinner, this is the perfect place! Thank you Dino!
Came here with my sister for dinner and it was incredibly good. We had the meatballs which I did not love. Ragu fettuccine- was amazing, very rich and had it with the bolero. Limon spaghetti- so good and fresh cooked perfectly Tiramisu- was just ok Service was great and atmosphere wonderful
Incredible place! I'm new in the neighborhood and wanted to find a spot to have brunch, and I came across Dino. The service was amazing! Luciana was very sweet and brought water for my dog because it was a hot day. The food was incredible, I ordered some French toast and a super refreshing lemonade. I'll definitely be going back!!
I loved this place. Service was great, and enjoyed sitting on the front patio and people watching. My sister recommended it when I told her I was thinking about trying it out and I am happy I went. I have eaten alot of different calamari, but this I feel to date has been some of the best grilled calamari I have had. The artichoke salad and the flourless chocolate cake are both lovely. I would go back the next time I visit my sister in Brooklyn
Came on Happy Hour which has some good deals. Crostini is excellent (had the liver pate and wild mushroom selections) as was the calamari - perfectly cooked. Cheese plate was more boring than I hoped (rectangles of parmesan?); should have tried more crostini selections instead. Service was great and I'll likely return for more crostini or to sample the dinner menu of pasta, as well as to try indoor or backyard seating options. The outdoor sidewalk seating can get a little loud because of the pizza place next door but thats certainly not Dino's fault.
I have eaten here twice. Once recently, and once during the past summer. Mondays around seven are bound to be empty anywhere in the city, and such was the case here. The food was excellent and in decent portions for the price. The sautéed kale is always a good choice for a side. The ambiance inside is quaint. The music was pleasant without being loud. During the summer, the patio was also pleasant. There is enough space between tables that you aren't crowded. Service is great, at least by Michael, I believe that was his name, was our server both times. Very attentive and never intrusive. All in all, a nice place to eat. You won't leave hungry.
First time eating here. Ordered takeout and the pasta was really good! I got the eggplant rigatoni which was perfectly aldente. The ratio between sauce and pasta was balanced for it being takeout too! Only thing it needed was a bit more cheese but the main parts were there and good! Will definitely come back to dine in especially since it looks like a nice date spot!
The food at Dino was truly fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for an early solo dinner. As someone who dines out often, including solo at the bar, I appreciate a welcoming atmosphere where I can enjoy a meal and unwind. While the service was good in terms of timeliness and basic hospitality, the professionalism left something to be desired. I was seated at the bar, which only had two other patrons when I arrived. Shortly after, several staff members gathered right next to me and spent a noticeable amount of time gossiping (!) including speaking negatively about a regular customer, venting about work schedules, and discussing personal topics in a way that was hard to ignore. It was uncomfortable and disappointing, especially considering the otherwise high quality of the food. No customer should feel like they’re intruding on a staff hangout, particularly not while overhearing disrespectful commentary. It took away from what could have been a really enjoyable first visit. Dino has a lot of promise, the kitchen is doing excellent work, but the front-of-house culture could use more professionalism and awareness of the guest experience.
I had a grilled artichoke salad with blood orange margarita. The salad was great with lots of parmesan cheese and the cocktail was amazing! Generous amount of alcohol, i loved it! Great staff. Also all the other restaurants around were closed till 5pm and getting prepared to serve dinner so Dino saved us!
My fiancé and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night. They have plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate diners when it gets busy. Our server was very friendly and attentive to us. The food was good quality and flavor, at a very good price for the neighborhood. Overall, we had a positive first experience here :-)
The dining experience at the restaurant was a bit mixed. While the food was enjoyable, the service felt somewhat impersonal. It was our first visit, so we had a few inquiries, but it seemed to bother our server. On the bright side, the other staff members, such as the host and busboys, were friendly and accommodating. However, the service did feel a bit rushed. The meal was served in two courses, leading to a long wait for the first course. Let's begin with the positives. The branzino special stood out as the highlight of the menu, and the crostinis were also delightful. I ordered the liver pate, eggplant, and squash, and was pleasantly surprised to receive two pieces of each. The cauliflower soup was also a hit. However, the fried calamari, while having a nice and light breading, was lacking in tentacles, which was disappointing as I enjoy both parts. Additionally, the Orecchiette was a bit too al dente for my taste, although the flavor was excellent. Not a bad meal but with so many restaurants in the area I don't think I would repeat.
Dino is a classy Italian spot that offers a good variety of menu options for newcomers. The calamari and cocktails were very good, and the server seemed really knowledgeable of the menu. My roasted chicken seemed a little less flavorful than I was expecting, as it took an extra 30 minutes apart from the other items to prepare, but it was decent and the skin was very crispy. The parmesan grits were a great complement. The garlic bread here is different than your standard garlic bread, it is more of slightly raw tasting garlic paste heavily applied to toast. All in all a decent experience, not one I may try again though.
We went to Dino for brunch. Our experience was good, the food could've been better. I ordered the Florentine which tasted ok. Unfortunately the egg was a little to long cooked so the egg yolk was hardening already. Besides that they have a nice quiet outdoor seating. It was super comfortable. We went with our dog and they brought him water too. 😊The staff was friendly. I still want to come again to check out their dinner menu, I'm confident that my food experience will be better with on of their pastas.
The food is easily forgettable but it is also not expensive compared to other spots in the area. We had a burrata as an appetizer that was probably the best dish. I had the salmon which was overly toasted and drowning in sauce, that was greasy but without flavor. At our table they liked the parmigiana but said the pasta on the side was bland and overcooked. We sat in the backyard which seemed nice at first but often had a strong kitchen smell.
pasta was mid but the zucchini fries were good, definitely had better though. wouldn’t order again
Had a surprisingly underwhelming (but adequate) experience at Dino on a Saturday evening. We made reservations same day and were able to get in with no wait. Staff was quick, helpful, and friendly. We were sat in the back patio which is fine, but cramped. The strange fence surrounding the back area is painted a light beige color and is not appealing to the eye - makes the space seem clinical and strange. The fence would use another color and/or some décor. The food and drink was very mediocre for the otherwise decent experience. I ordered a Lambrusco which came out barely chilled - not cold at all. On the specials menu was a zucchini and mint soup, with the option to get it hot or cold. We opted for the cold version, but it also came out barely chilled (as if in a refrigerator for 5 minutes). The bowl was not chilled either so the soup ended up being extremely underwhelming (in presentation as well as flavor). I ordered the orecchiette which was bland in flavor and also not super warm/hot. The dish wasn’t warmed here either, making the poor temperature of the food stand out even more. My companion ordered the Cacio e Pepe which was very good. Overall a very mediocre experience from a promising restaurant. Might return again, but there are likely better options based on the experience I had.
Fine option in a pinch if you need to get in somewhere before a show at Brooklyn Paramount. The octopus and beets apps, and Sicilian tuna salad were good. Coffee was unfortunately weak and cold. Service was great. They do have gluten free pasta.
Our evening at Dino was a significant disappointment, marked by both underwhelming food and aggressively hurried service. Arriving at 17:15 and ordering by 17:27, we anticipated a relaxed dinner. Instead, we felt pressured from the outset. We ordered two entrees - the chicken Milanese and rigatoni ragu - along with two sides and a $60 bottle of wine. By 17:45, our server had already topped up our wine glasses twice, signaling an uncomfortable pace. By 18:00, our meal was finished, and by 18:15, the server was practically insisting we finish the remaining wine. She came back a third time and said, "let me kill this bottle," when my wife declined more wine, she nearly filled my glass to the brim. At 18:28, a mere 70 minutes after we were seated, the bill arrived despite a significant amount of wine still remaining in the bottle and our glasses. The food itself was far from impressive. The chicken Milanese was basic, comparable to a home-cooked meal. The Brussels sprouts were soggy, though they did have some char. The garlic parmesan mashed potatoes were acceptable, but the rigatoni ragu was a misnomer, served with meatballs instead of a traditional ragu. While the taste was adequate, the dish's description was misleading. We also noted the dessert menu lacked pricing, an unusual and inconvenient omission. The server's behavior was the most egregious aspect of our experience. Her relentless attempts to rush us, her disregard for our pace, and her immediate presentation of the bill were unacceptable. Upon paying and leaving a 15% tip, she didn't even acknowledge us with a simple "thank you." Overall, Dino offered an uninspired menu and a service experience that prioritized speed over customer satisfaction. We cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. I ordered the pasta aglio e olio, a simple dish that should highlight quality ingredients and flavors, but I was disappointed. The pasta didn’t have the al dente texture it should have—it seemed like it had been re-boiled, which affected the freshness and flavor. Our other dishes also lacked the depth and seasoning we expected, especially for the price. We appreciate the ambiance, but overall, the meal left us wanting more---and a refund!
Average food. Average service. Commercial music. Bad lighting. If the prices were half what they are, it will be an easy 4. But for such expensive place, our expectations are higher.
yikes! really wanted to like this place but… the fan in the back is crazy loud and food trucks out front are if possible even louder. not sure about dining in. ordered a butternut squash crostini and the squash had been roasted completely unseasoned. also the lambrusco was flat. we really wanted to have dinner here but the crostinis and atmosphere really turned us off:(
five star food, two star service. Food came out all at once (appetizer, salad, and pasta…) - got the wrong wine brought to the table - waitress could not be bothered
Came on Marathon weekend, Guessing they’re busy The waiter’s in a huge hurry, almost took the menu before I was able to finish ordering everything I want, came back a quarter later to check what I ordered; There was hair on the bottom of the bowl which I didnt notice until I finish the entire thing, told the waiter, he totally didnt care. Food quality not good, very salty and taste like store purchased paste
I wanted to give this place more stars, however, there were a handful of hiccups during the duration of my dinner experience there. For starters, my date and I got to the entrance, and the petite, dark haired middle aged white hostess lady was hurriedly exiting with take out orders in hand. After almost trying to rush past me, she pauses, looks up and says “Hi?” So I say “Kenya…8pm for 2 people.” She says, “okay you can either sit here between these two tables or outside.” I spotted an empty round table in the rear of the restaurant with a few chairs and asked her if we could sit there instead for more privacy. In frustration, she repeated “No. You can either sit between these two tables, at the bar, or outside.” When I finally said outside, she said great and quickly walked away from me to give the delivery guys the takeout orders. I am not a difficult person. If anything, I’m super understanding. However, as someone who is going to be dining at the restaurant (and her being a hostess) it would have been much appreciated if she would have given us a brief explanation of why we couldn’t have sat at the table in the back. We are paying diners. An outright no is for disobedient children. We are grown adults. A quick “it’s a reserved table for a party who hasn’t arrived as yet” or “I wish I could but it’s unavailable at the moment” would have been just fine. As the night progressed and I was sitting outside enjoying the night, I began to notice that this same woman would become very hostile and nasty with the delivery guys who were coming into the restaurant to pick up the food. She’d yell at them and say “you can’t be in here!” or “you have to move from here. You can’t stand inside!” At this point, she was giving MAJOR ‘Karen’ vibes because most of these men were of Hispanic, African and Asian descent and a few were not English speaking. When they would not move right away, she’d practically shoo them away from the door while they’d be trying to show her their cell phones with the order they were picking up. It was a sad sight to see! I wish I’d gotten her name so y’all could know exactly who to stay away from (if at all possible). The mean hostess is the woman in the striped t-shirt, hair pulled back, pointing her finger in the photo I took of the exterior of the restaurant. But let me get into the real reason why we read these reviews in the first place: food and drinks. I had the Dolce Vita drink which was a bloody orange, gin, a little seltzer and Campari. It was delicious! I loved it. I had two! That good! My date had two different beers. He said they were both okay. I don’t remember the names of ‘em. For the appetizer, we had the grilled calamari. It smelled better than it tasted. It didn’t taste that flavorful. Wish it would have been cooked in the seasoning for longer. I had the Limon spaghetti which has Parmesan, lemon and oil. It was good. Nothing to write home about. My date has the Ragu pasta with meatballs and mozzarella. When we first tried his dish, the pasta was hard and super undercooked. He had to send it back to be cooked thoroughly. For dessert, we had the olive oil cake. That was the highlight of the night for me. All in all, it was a lackluster experience. I wouldn’t recommend. Especially not because of that rude hostess’ behavior. The food was just okay. The ambiance was cute. But everything else was just meh.
My sausage was burnt and full of gristle. And my noodles, (my orchiette) were all stuck together. I just waited 2.5 hours for my order from dino to be delivered. In order that had to be reassigned to multiple drivers because they took so long. I expected the quality of the food to be perfect, bc they took a really long time to prepare it. And naturally my food was cold because it took so long. I want a full refund but I didn't get one. Skip this place. Graziella is always on point!
It's a shame the food is excellent here but my discourse is with the extreme rude person whom I spoke to today between 2pm and 2.15pm about an order I had just made. I didn't quite understand some specifics and wanted to inquire about the deal offered through the Uber eats app to make sure my order was correct this time around. She hang up on me three times. Thought it was a dropped call until it happened again - if I'm ordering and paying for my food I have the right to inquire if I don't understand a policy. Perhaps if you don't want to deal with customers you shouldn't work front of house in a restaurant answering calls.
I would not recommend this place. The food tastes like it was pre-made.
Used to eat here often when I lived in the neighborhood a year ago... the quality of the food it is not the same! smaller portions, old pasta and very bad service. The Mexican waitress that pretends to be American likes to talk bad about the guests. Our table heard her laughing at a couple that sat next to us. Someone should tell her to be discreet. Definitly not coming back. To the owners: find a competent team!
We arrived before 4pm during the weekend and we're not aware they were in the middle of a shift change. We had to wait over 25 min for the next server to arrive and we're told that they were no longer serving brunch. The first server didn't even have decency to bring water. The food was subpar and the service was terrible. Would not recommend anyone go here. There's so many places in the neighborhood that are much better. Save your time.
Calamari seemed clearly frozen and overcooked, bread came out inexplicably cold, and orecchiette, which was a favorite when I lived in this neighborhood a few years ago, was just dry pasta with crunchy (?) sausage and little to no flavor. The ambiance was chaotic and crowded, service was inattentive, and we honestly had a pretty bad time. Won’t be returning despite loving this spot previously.
Their dine-in food looks decent, but their takeout orders are trash! It's giving TV dinner, what a waste of $$. Update: their response to my review is also trash! I didnt HAVE to eat that shit. This isn't the first time I've ordered from yall, but it'll damn sure be my last, foh! This "Italian restaurant" is a joke.
