mini = small, so it gets crowded with 5 people inside flavorful strawberry matcha :)) they had $8 cat blind boxes, v fun n i got the calico cat one
My wife had seen this place on a TikTok slideshow of best matcha lattes in NYC. We weren’t planning on going but we’re keeping our eye out for matcha lattes as we walked around the neighborhood with our local friends, they took us here and my wife lit up! We ordered an iced strawberry matcha lattes. The matcha itself was well mixed - not grainy or bitter. The strawberry tasted fresh and jammy. One of the best strawberry matcha lattes we have had - reminded us of Boba Guys (minus the boba). There was a line when we went on a Saturday afternoon. We waited for maybe 5-10min in line to place our order and then only another minute for it to be ready. Make sure to stir it together!
Kijitora Cafe in Williamsburg is such a cozy hidden gem. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I tried their tiramisu coffee and it was absolutely special—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The vibe of the café is relaxed and stylish, a great spot to chill or catch up with friends. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were lucky to stumble across this little hole in the wall! The tiramisu and black sesame latte were perfectly balanced, velvety, rich, hugs in cups. Definitely go with the sesame latte (without white chocolate) if you want something unique and not too sweet. Our barista was kind and quick. The place is very small so you’ll be taking your coffee to go, but the decor is minimalistic yet warm and we enjoyed browsing the cat themed trinkets for sale. Highly recommend!
A super cute little hole in the wall, and oh my God the options were divine. Barista recommended the sesame latte, I got it without the white chocolate, but it was the best savory coffee drink I've ever had in my life, I wish I lived in New York so I could start every day with one. Highly recommend getting your next pick me up from here!
I've been there 3 times already and wow, we tried their black sesame latte with white chocolate and the matcha with white chocolate, also matcha sweetened with maple syrup, and matcha with honey – all of them delicious! And don't even get me started on their mochi brownie, absolutely amazing! So if you're a matcha lover, you have to check this place out! 💚🍵
I got a black sesame latte with white chocolate and my chummy over here got a matcha hot white chocolate. IT WAS SO GOODDDDD especially for the chilly season. And the white chocolate was an amazing sweetener. I was a little intimated because of how cute and small the shop was but the worker was so so nice and made me feel really comfortable. The shop was nice and warm too and there was a lot of cute cat themed stuff. I literally couldn’t stop thinking about the drinks throughout the rest of my journey in the day and I tried my buddy’s drink. Quite the quality drink, the matcha came through really well.
In a neighborhood saturated with coffee shops… this is my favorite spot for matcha especially their outrageously good iced strawberry matcha- but also they have a black sesame latte that feels like a full body hug. Seriously. It’s tiny and they have cutesy art items, coffee and tea for purchase, some baked goods. I really really like this spot and may be in my top three coffee shops I Brooklyn.
A perfect pit stop on Driggs Ave. Whether I’m heading into the city or just about to start my day, Kijitora never disappoints. Their croissants—plain or chocolate—are on another level, genuinely the best I’ve had in Brooklyn, baked fresh right there in the shop. Every pastry feels like it just came out of the oven, and you can taste the care in each bite. Drinks are always spot-on too, consistently balanced and smooth. It may be a small café without a full kitchen, but the atmosphere and quality are insanely good. A true neighborhood gem.
Strawberry Matcha Lovers, This One’s for You! I tried the strawberry matcha at Kijitora and it was so good! The matcha was rich and balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the strawberry. Definitely a must-try if you’re a fan of both. Just a heads-up—be ready for a long queue. It’s a popular spot, and for good reason. Totally worth the wait though!
Cute little cafe, refreshing drinks and cool little cat decor! I got the iced strawberry matcha latte and it was very refreshing and had a good strawberry taste. My friend got the hoji tea and it was delicious, reminiscent of black tea. Overall a nice place to relax and get a refreshing sweet drink!
Adorable cafe with amazing drinks. Space inside the cafe was somewhat small but there are seating outside as well including the one beside it. Got the Hoji Latte and it was great, gave us the option to choose what kind of milk as well. Service was fast and the staff was very nice. Answered questions regarding the menu (also let me fill up my bottle with water 👍).
Imma be so honest that matcha was booty. It was so weak and watery - not creamy and strong at all. Second worst matcha I’ve had in NYC. I said it. This spot should notttt have a line. Maybe the strawberry is better but there matcha itself was just not it. It’s also matcha concentrate, not whisked matcha. The staff also kept speaking so quietly to me so I couldn’t hear them… and then they’d yell at everyone about keeping the door closed.
Would not recommend for matcha. Influencers on Instagram and Tiktok have hyped this place up so much so I decided to give it a try, but the matcha was as watery/diluted as other chains. Paying $7+ for a matcha latte that tastes similar to Starbucks is laughable in this economy. I had high hopes considering the baristas are Japanese too, but everyday I come closer to giving up on finding good matcha in the US. Drink: 1/5 Service: 5/5, fast despite long line Atmosphere: 2/5, very cramped space with only one outdoor bench. Might as well function as a coffee stand.
walked in, said hi to the staff with a smile, the two ladies looked at me and didn’t say anything lmao already felt super uncomfortable but got a tiramisu latte which basically tastes like a chocolate milk which is that’s cool if that’s what you’re going for, but getting what seems like 1 shot of espresso when most places give you 2-3 shots and a whole thing of milk for 9 dollars+tip is insane. attention to the photo, where is my coffee what😔
The ice matcha latte i never have before! I didn’t like to drinks matcha too much, but this place makes me fall in love with matcha! Great service Recommend ice strawberry matcha latte with oat milk is the best!!! CHANGE STAR ⭐️ FROM 5 to 1!!!!! I’ll still keep the last review here because i really like their matcha! But the barista was terrible, after I reviewed for 5 stars service was so bad from barista, i came here for order matcha they give another customer a pepper of number but didn’t give that to me when i ask she said is you but another person said that me because is my number of orders, i asked them why i didn’t get a pepper of order they said i forgot it! And then they’re still wanna give a order for another person to me again, but that’s not mine???
