I recently visited Offshore Diner in Bay Ridge, which is my favorite spot for a comforting meal. From the moment I walked in years ago to now, the family-like atmosphere wrapped around me like a warm hug—the cozy booths, classic decor, and friendly chatter among regulars made it feel like dining at a relative’s home rather than a restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding. I love their patty melt, salads, omelets , and BEC. Everything always tastes homemade and hearty, using quality ingredients that shone through in every bite. Portions were generous, and the prices felt like a steal for such great quality. What really sets Offshore Diner apart, though, is the staff. They’re incredibly attentive, warm, and genuine, treating every customer like part of the family. Our servers remember our preferences from a previous visit and even chatted with us about local Bay Ridge happenings, making the experience feel personal and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a full breakfast, the team here goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The food is always on point — high quality, delicious, and you get so much for your money. This is definitely the diner to go to when you want great food and a cozy place to relax. Highly recommend!

An amazing experience at Offshore diner with our server Fiona. Service was very quick and Fiona had amazing energy and enthusiasm which made our brunch so enjoyable and she really put a smile on our faces and brought laughter to our experience as well. We love Fiona!!

Classic old school Greek diner. Visited with a friend who was originally from the neighborhood, 45 years ago. The most remarkable thing was the genius waitress, an Irish immigrant who lives nearby and who has been working there for many years. She was incredibly funny and charismatic, and the entire party was amazed and delighted with her. If you lived nearby, you would go regularly just because of her. We had coffees and desserts, all of which were great. A good place to come to, if you make it all the way out to this neighborhood at the outer edge of NYC. My friend told me that iconic scenes from "Saturday Night Fever" were shot on the street outside, and nearby.

Order Takeout on Thanksgiving day because my daughter & husband were not feeling well to go to our family house. I really wanted turkey so I ordered a turkey burger as omg it was delicious, very juicy and cooked well!! Definitely will order again!

A diner serving more than just food. A diner feeding love, community, communication, and curiosity. A place where people of all walks of life come together and spend time with their friends/family. A place where no one feels alone. A place where one meal satisfies the soul and spirit. A place that becomes a daily routine and customers become family. My experience at Offshore Diner was one of which I have never experienced before. The majority of the customers here are known by name, I can see why this was possible because the first question I was asked was my name, I was welcomed and loved like no other. I will certainly come back (like many) with my family. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I came to this cute diner for the first time today for breakfast. The food and service here is great. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the waitstaff. They treated me like I was a regular and not a new customer. They have a pretty decent sized menu and the prices are reasonable in my opinion. They also seem to keep the place very clean. I will definitely eat here again in the future.

Excellent breakfast in a friendly, comfortable, classic diner. The kind of place that regulars walk into and are greeted by name, asked how their doing, and if they want "the usual". Traditional options along with a number of house specialties. The English breakfast was delicious, and plenty of food. Perfectly grilled tomatoes, tasty sausage, potatoes and beans, with eggs, toast, and of course, good hot coffee. I ate every bite, what else can I say?

Old fashioned family restaurant. Very cozy. Great staff. Large food selection. Friendly atmosphere; they let you sit and chat with friends. Many "soup & 1/2 sandwich" combos. Good coffee and waitresses who smile. Good local eatery with no pretensions of trying to be something they're not.

We go there often, the ladies and the rest of the staff are super nice! Food is great but one guy (the owner I guess) keeps going around and talking to people or on the phone very loudly! To a level that may ruin your family breakfast time!

Old school no frills diner. The breakfast seems like the way to go. The muffins were homemade and hot. Omelettes also probably the way to go. It isn’t a big place but I love spots like this. Hope it doesn’t go away since diners are harder to come by these days.

American waitresses here have zero sense of courtesy. I asked for napkins and they literally tossed them on the table like I was a dog. The food is terrible I ordered a steak and they brought me something that looked like cow liver, still bleeding. The soup was sour too, which can seriously make people sick. I don’t recommend this place at all. Don’t waste your money. I paid $27 and they still expected me to leave a tip. I couldn’t even eat it it was disgusting.
