This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be such a special experience. Ana-Marija truly elevated the entire evening. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel not just welcomed, but truly looked after. She has that rare ability to make service feel personal and memorable. Recette has set the bar extremely high, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly, highly recommended!

LOOOOVVVEEE Recette- this really is a gem of a spot in Williamsburg. They have some of the best espresso martinis and cocktails I’ve tried, on a lot of nights they’ll have live jazz playing in the background 🙂 Try their duck, their short rib pasta, their brunch menu is really good too. Pomme pureé is to die for. Plenty of good options to try Their staff is super friendly and personable, in particular love the host/waitress (Ana & Andjela) and the bartenders (Max and Igor). So hilarious!

Definitely recommend this place. Food was fresh and delicious, served quickly. Everything we ordered was 10/10. I highly recommend French Onion soup! Drinks were amazing. Service was great, our server was Zdravko, he was very nice and made our experience very welcoming. We will definitely come back to this place.

Went here with a group of 10 for NYE and we had a fantastic experience. The food and drinks were great, the interior was pretty and warm, and the staff was absolutely fantastic. The were very attentive, kind, and so accommodating. At the even of the meal, our server handed us a round of delicious grapefruit shots and took care in making non-alc versions for the people in our party who weren’t drinking, which was so fun and generous of them. Highly rec for a large group (~$50 pp without drinks, ~$75 pp with drinks). Thank you so much for a lovely time Recette!

Recette is one of those places that instantly feels like home, with a warmth that keeps me coming back. The food and cocktails are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We came on Christmas Eve and had an absolute blast — great music, great drinks, and such a joyful vibe. Huge shoutout to Enes, whose service is always top-notch; welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. A true neighborhood gem. ❤️✨

A true French bistro experience on a snowy day. The French onion soup was deeply comforting, with perfectly melted cheese—exactly what you crave while watching the snow fall. Great food. Great music and service. I am not the best writer but this spot was a wonderful experience and we will be going back. We did over $100 each but we had a few drinks each.

Update: Came back on 12/17/25 at night for a dinner with my boyfriend and the food was just as amazing as we remembered AND they had a live band playing lovely music the whole dinner. Our server (Ana) made the entire night even better - she was always refilling our water and giving us clean dishes and clean utensils and making sure everything was good for us. Will definitely be back especially on Wednesdays for the live band and for Ana. Stumbled into this restaurant while visiting a friend in the neighborhood and had one of the most delicious meals in NYC. The service was also spectacular, extremely accommodating and considerate. Never had an empty water glass and the table was always clean in between plates. Ordered 5 different dishes and not a single one was bland, average, or bad. The escargot was soft and delicious in the sauce and bread. I was nervous for the octopus and potato and tomato dish but my fiancé and I were fighting for the last piece! The steak tartare was also delicious, one complaint would be it needs 1 or 2 more pieces of bread for the amount of tartare (that’s me nitpicking). The beef rib pasta and the veal chop was truly a highlight. We ate it so fast. I didn’t even get a picture. Found this place by surprise, but will definitely and intentionally be going here from now on.

Food was great, atmosphere was amazing, and service was perfect. Came on a random Wednesday night for dinner with my girlfriend and was ecstatic to see a live band playing. Made the mood and environment so much better. The food came quickly and was all delicious. Our server Ana was even better. She always came and refilled our water at the perfect time. She constantly gave us clean plates and clean utensils. She had the perfect energy and the perfect attitude. I’ve only been here a few times, but I would come back solely on Wednesdays to hear the live band for the 10/10 service by Ana.
