Opinions de The Grape Leaf Brooklyn
Don’t be fooled by its fast food joint appearance, nor by your experience here under the previous management, this neighborhood type Middle-eastern restaurant has surprisingly improved since its reopening, under a new management. From the signature Grape Leaf Platter ( 5 appetizers of your choice) to the Lebanese Fried Cauliflower and those yummy spice infused shawarmas, everything we ordered was delicious and brought back fond memories of our trips to the region. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. Service was equally impressive! We will definitely be back again!
I wish I tried The Grape Leaf earlier! The new owner serves very high quality food and did a nice job erasing the “dated pizza place” vibe. It now has nice tile tables and good middle eastern music that fits the vibe. Adding a few candles and dimming the lights would take the atmosphere to a higher level. The server is sweet and is helpful on selection and the prices for the quality and portions are fair. It’s the type of place that I’ll become a regular. I’ve been twice in a week as I’ve been testing out different menu items. The food in my view is pretty authentic middle eastern. I gobbled up the Babaganoush and fresh hot out of the oven bread. And it’s one of the only places I’ve ever found meat and rice stuffed grape leaves offered in NYC. The laghmagen (spelling(?)) aka “Armenian Pizza/Turkish Pizza/Lebanese Pizza) is spot on tasty.
Really delicious food, amazing customer service, highly recommend 👌, give it a try and you will love it!!
Really good meal! Much better food under the new owners. We tried the delicious merguez and schwarma platters. Great value for $20 each. The fries were amazing. Hope they do well!
I’ve gone to this restaurant before under the supervision of the previous owners and I loved it, but now I am blown away! With what the new owners have done with the place I can see this place booming in no time. They have a large vegan selection which is perfect for my family and I, and it’s actually great tasting vegan food which is rare to find. I tried the meatless shawarma in the Grape Leaf Bowl and wow… it is incredible. The presentation was very nice and the flavor is amazing. 10/10 I will definitely be returning here again soon. Wonderful “addition” to the neighborhood!
Best middle eastern food in the area by far. Super authentic and high quality (hand cut fresh hot fries not frozen). Portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Have had the chicken shawarma sandwich (nicely toasted, chicken shawarma platter and fries. All have come with complimentary garlic sauce and pickles. Great addition to the neighborhood.
Most underrated restaurant in all of Brooklyn / Carrol Gardens area. For a great price they serve you a hefty serving of delicious, healthy options. I had the hummus and a lentil soup and left feeling completely satiated for the whole evening. The people are so kind too. I highly recommend The Grape Leaf for friends and couples alike to go and enjoy!
great place, there is seating as well. only suggestion is the meatball wrap has very little meat in it so i would suggest getting the platter. the babagaunoush and the pita they bring it with was amaaazing!
Boy did I devour that falafel plate… absolutely delicious, generous portions and noticeably quality ingredients. The freshly baked pitas take it to another level.
Food was delicious! Everything is made fresh to order including the pita bread! Had the falafel sandwich and I highly recommend it! And it's relatively inexpensive especially for the quality and portion sizes. Excellent new place that I will be stopping at whenever I'm in the area!

Absolutely love this place. Been coming in a couple times a week since they reopened. Food is really fresh and flavorful. Love the chewy/dry pita. Recommend the shawarma, hummus, and zaatar bread.

Stopped by and the place was pretty much empty. We ordered the Grape Leaves (obviously, haha) and some falafel ($5!)and sat down. Cute little spot, they brought us water and a few minutes later our food. Everything was extremely fresh. The Grape Leaves came with a nice kind of quinoa tabouli salad and the falafel was super crispy, delicious and served with tahini. There was a kind of yogurt cucumber thing served with the grape leaves and I appreciated how much there was, a small bowl! Finally! Served enough "dip" with grape leaves! Brilliant. This isn't a Greek place, they have meat in their grape leaves which is awesome because our mom made them that way growing up and it's hard to find. If you're on Court St and looking for a quick, pleasant, refreshing, light, and healthy little lunch, stop into the Grape Leaf!
First time coming here and I got to say it has been really good, we ordered the loaded shawarma fries with Mozzarella and I gotta say it was absolutely delicious. Fries crispy the meat on top is good and it was a nice appetizer. We had the zatar pizza and it was a nice crispy crust with a good zatar flavor served fresh and hot. Finally had that cheese burger with fries and it was really good nice and juicy and the fries were seasoned and crispy.Overall really recommend this place.
I get this place at least once a week. The platters are such a good size and the pita that comes with it is insanely delicious and fresh with some flour on it still. It’s definitely more of a take-out vibe, but the employees are very kind even when you wait for your pickup order. Totally recommend!!! May feel pricey at first but once you see everything you get with the food then you will understand why!!!!!
The Grape Leaf is excellent! I am a vegetarian and they have plenty of options. The food is delicious and they are very friendly! I highly recommend going or ordering! :)

This place is delicious! The lentil soup is the best I’ve ever had. So happy they opened up in the neighborhood!

This was my second time here since it was taken over by new management. I really enjoy their menu options and find them to be well prepared, sizable, and reasonably priced! I’ve only done takeout, but the staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and patient. This time we enjoyed the falafel burger with fries, beet salad, and spinach pie which is like a calzone. Will definitely be back :)
Casual Mediterranean spot in an old pizzeria with solid food, perfect for a quick meal. The standout for me was traditional shawarma sandwich, which came well seasoned on fresh pita. As well as the lamb shish kabob, which was tender with a tangy sauce that complemented it well
Good prices, great food. Best stuffed grape leaves that I had in a while. I had the Grape leaf combo with vegetarian grape leaves, ful, yogurt dip, olives mixture, and Babaganoush.everything was so fresh and the prices were good. I would come back for this combo, it was very filling. Best Mediterranean food that I’ve had in a while. I would skip the baklava as the middle filling was soo dry, it felt like I was taking the cinnamon challenge. I ended up throwing it out.

Food is good nothing spectacular. Service is mild maybe even to the point that it’s cold. The ambiance is forgettable. Overall, it’s a nice place to go for a casual meal and maybe for a quiet conversation with a friend. Great prices.
Tried The Grape Leaf for the first time. Chicken was tender and flavorful, rice had a nice seasoning, and the dry pita paired well with the meal. Portion size was decent for the price ($18). Only downside was that the chicken and tahini sauce portions could have been a bit more generous, and I wish I had kept the salad instead of extra rice. Overall, a tasty meal and worth trying.
This shawarma wrap is close to being great with nice fresh baked pita, good fresh ingredients and overall flavor, except the shawarma meat was noticeably tough and had a bunch of gristle and was a chore to chew through. I constantly had to pick gristle from my mouth as I ate my shawarma wrap. This place would be my favorite if they changed the cut or preparation of the meat so it wasn't so tough and full of gristle. Really it's so close.

Buyer beware. This is my beef kabab sandwich. paid $15 for this. Barely any meat and when i brought it up to them they said “it’s how we make it and no one complains”
