Opinions de Cracker Barrel Bryan
Stopped by the Cracker Barrel in Bryan, TX because I was craving some good ol’ biscuits and gravy with sweet tea. Melissa was our server, and she was absolutely amazing. She got to our table quickly, was super friendly, and helped us as much as she possibly could. Seriously — she deserves a raise! If we come back, it’ll be because of her. 20 out of 20 stars.
Please place and serve the food on a hot plate to keep it warm.
I always have fond memories of Cracker Barrel. It was cold outside, but the food was hot. Of course, by the time we got there, they were out of like 4 items, but it wasn't their fault! Kudos to them for making my family feel welcome on Thanksgiving Day. The staff was fun and polite, and the environment was just as cozy as I remember from when I was a kid. Hats off to y'all for a job well done.
Damarius, our waiter, was very attentive. He is very service oriented.
We had a great experience here. Sophia did an amazing job as our server! She was sweet, attentive and very knowledgeable!
The food and service is always excellent but for this visit I purchased merchandise. I bought a beautiful glitter globe they have so many beautiful things inside the store
We enjoyed the campfire meals a lot! My husband got the roast campfire and it was delicious! We had discussed dividing it, but I ended up getting the soup of the day, which was chicken and dumplings. It was also good. There is enough roast for another meal. Our waitperson was super nice. If we had comfortable chairs, it all would have been extra nice...I have a bad back and it is hard to sit in wooden chairs.
Cracker barrel hit the mark again. The service was quick and friendly, and the food came out hot and full of flavor. I went with the meatloaf and it was just what I was craving. The cozy setting makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Always reliable stop when you're looking for comfort food done right.
I love eating at Cracker Barrel, they always have good food! They have so many things to look at and buy! Love it!❤️
First time at Cracker Barrel old country store. First of all you walk into this gift shop store. And of course every thing is so cute. So while I’m waiting for my guest to arrive I’m looking at everything I want to buy and the holiday stuff is out already. They had like 5 different holidays out at once. Plus clearance to the holiday just passed. So we walk right in to get a table and a waiter tells us you have to wait to be seated. Well no one was at door we didn’t know. The food was delicious huge serving we had to take food home. The waiter kept coming back to our table and we put credit card so he would probably stop bothering us but he told us we go back to store to pay out? So again here we are waiting at the store to pay and now I’m looking at everything the store has suck an amazing selection of stuff. I would come here just to shop. Just was a little confusing how to pay and be seated.
Great customer service from being seated to checkout. Our waitress was very on top of things! Thank you,
I saw this business quickly dropped a woke marketing stance, so decided to give it a try. We had a delicious breakfast, shared with husband and we had plenty. People were super nice. Bought some unique things at the store. We will go back.
Love this place. As close to southern home cooking you can get without having your mom in the kitchen.. The chicken fried steak is pretty good and the string beans and collard greens are off the chart as well. A 103 mile round trip is worth taking for the food and atmosphere.
Wonderful! Great customer service. Really good food , great servings good prices . Cute cute store ..
Needed to meet for a business meeting and picked Cracker Barrel. Emily greeted us and got us seated right away. Our server Sarah was wonderful. She was really patient with us. Mike and I had a ton of things to cover and Sarah was right there when we needed her. It was a really good experience for the tone of our meeting. Sarah did an awesome job.
The chicken n dumplings are always good especially with fresh cornbread! I love the chicken fried chicken on Sunday's. The vegetables are seasoned well and the service is always really good when I have gone. I wish they sold a membership to eat dinner there! I didn't eat breakfast this time around, but it's always been a hit with my family in the past. Expect a wait during the evening and weekends at this location because it's one of the only decent places to eat on the east side of Bryan. Enjoy and play a game or two with your kids and family while you wait!
The wait was short, got our order promptly, even though the place was packed. Our waiter was very professional and polite, kept up with our table, plus since we arrived every employee made us feel at ease and welcome ive been to this place, numerous times, and will keep coming, will recommend to others. Best breakfast ever.🥰😋
We ordered 2 exact meals of Meatloaf with 3 sides. Didn't receive green beans, or 4 corn muffins or chicken and dumplings and they basically told us, your problem, and dissed us! Never received anything, but a nasty attitude!!! Never again!!!
Kind service from everyone. Collin was a great server and was attentive even with how busy it was (we were there at the end of the lunch rush). My family has been to this location often and we’ve never had a bad experience.
This location is awesome! The food and service are excellent! I went there 3 times last week for brunch. Had the Grandma Pancake breakfast twice and the cinnamon French Toast breakfast once. All were delicious!
Our first time and we enjoyed the great service and good. Baked potatoes were hot and full of toppings and the steak was generous and cooked perfectly. Cherry helpful waitress made for a fun evening
We enjoyed our food. Price was reasonable. Enjoyed the store atmosphere and all the decorations. Our server was great.
We picked up to-go food. It was great and on time. However, bring back the Hashbrown Tots. We loved them and want them back ASAP.
Damarius was our server this morning. He handled us with care, a smiling face, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband even pulled a manager to compliment him! To Blake, you run a tight ship, we love it. Damarius, take your time, feel your tables, and climb the service industry ladder!
Absolutely one of the best places to get home cooked food at a reasonable price! Food is delicious and serving portions are pretty good but could be a little better! Food was great and hot and ready for pickup when I arrived. Great job!
Such a cozy and comfortable environment that has a good Southern taste. The food options are grand, and the food itself is good. The biscuits and cornbread were complimentary, and they are good as well. The people are nice, and the store connected to it has a lot of cute items and snacks to shop for.
I have always had this diner #1 on my list. And NO to the changes and/or the ignorance of sending pre-made food. If CrackerBarrell changed....they would go broke. Leave our Cracker Barrell alone as it is always full...and not only our college students but alot of families are here.
Go during the weekday. There's no wait. The food was good. I didn't like the French toast, but that is just my preference it was cooked well. The fried fish lacked flavor. All other items were good. Our sever was be polite and engaging.
The store itself was very nice. It was clean our waitress- Maggie Sue was very personable, kind & helpful. She was attentive to my 85 year old mother’s needs, patient! We have been to the store several times. I do wish the managers would come by the table and greet you. The food was ok- carrots were cold and streak was Luke warm. Rolls were delicious! Overall, would recommend for a nice relaxing day.
We were so happy to head to Cracker Barrel after an icy weekend. Our server Demarius was very attentive, friendly and prompt. He brought smiles to our day for sure. (He even gave us some peg game tips:) My grilled chicken was PERFECT as well as the hash brown casserole. My daughter’s steak and shrimp was delish. We’ll be back!
Went on a Sunday afternoon and caught the after church crowd. The restaurant was slammed of course, but the wait wasnt bad at all. I dont remember our waitresses name but she was extremely personable and her customer service was top notch. The food was consistent with my other cracker barrel experiences, and that is to say it was delicious. My homie had never been to Cracker Barrel before and he was very very satisfied with his food.
Friendly staff, had a wet table but if it was taken care of with good conversation. Tried a burger for the first time. It was good! Not to tell momma about, but it was good hearty burger, besides having a pancake to wash it down with never hurts.
I love the antique items on the wall. So glad they didn't remodel and take them down. .it brings back lots of good memories. I also like the old logo, not the one they wanted to change to that is plain like everyone else. Server was excellent.
Had a great visit at Cracker Barrel - Bryan, TX. Food was hot and tasted awesome, service was great, and my table and surrounding areas were clean. I'll never get over how good the pancakes are. Even while busy, they still met all expectations.
This was an excellent visit beginning with the friendly greeting from the cashier when we walked into the restaurant, from the courteous gentleman who seated us, to the attentive and very nice waitress who served us. I felt valued, respected and appreciated! Great job and I certainly will be returning! A+++ Service!
Jimena was sweet, friendly and on top of her game. I had the Shepherd's pie which was Amazing!!! It was filling, yummy, and warm. Perfect for a cool evening. I couldn't finish it. It was priced well in comparison to the portion size. Highly recommend this Cracker Barrel, Jimena and meal!
My husband and I both enjoyed a delicious breakfast with eggs, hash browns and bacon. The biscuits and gravy were delish and plentiful! Service was great and the place was rockin’ on Saturday morning! Yum! We’ll be back
Me and my family went to the cracker barrel in Bryan, TX. Service was good, my mom judge's service on how long she has to wait for her coffee refill so it wasn't so good in that aspect. Food wasn't good in our opinion. I ordered French toast it was pale and sorta doughy in spots and I couldn't get any cinnamon flavor my granddaughter who's 1 yrs old she liked it I didn't take any pictures of it cause I always forget about that when I'm with my granddaughter. The atmosphere was great, staff was friendly and of course the shopping area was great lol.
I wanted to say thank you to Jess who was extremely helpful! We were trying to order the Thanksgiving takeout with gift certificates and it would only except one online. She was busy when I called but assured me she would call back and she certainly did! She was very happy to take our order over the phone and help with our options. Great customer service;)
Great environment! Hands down the country fried turkey is amazing. My 1.5 year old daughter loves coming in and seeing all the festive holiday decorations. The food is great. The prices are affordable. Always a good experience.
What a beautiful experience! I used to bring my kids to this pancake restaurant 10 years ago, and visiting again now brought back so many wonderful memories. I’m happy to say that nothing has changed—the food and coffee are still just as delicious, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The decor and store items are as charming and authentic as ever, giving off a warm, nostalgic American vibe. It’s one of the best breakfast spots in the U.S. in my opinion! We truly enjoyed the food, the cozy atmosphere, the lovely view, and the friendly service. The place is clean, tidy, and filled with great energy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a classic, feel-good breakfast experience!
Cracker Barrel has that old-world charm with lots of random antiques and an awesome store! Also, it is a place where my family and I can eat on a budget. I appreciate the attentive wait staff and the fact that they are always willing to accommodate our requests. The sweet tea was nice and the food was very good. My only complaint is if you are going to say sausage gravy....please put some breakfast sausage in your gravy...we all know that is how it is done. Thanks for a nice meal and great service.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the new staff. Fresh, delicious food, and excellent, lightning quick service! The peach tea is the best and the roast beef was also incredible! This is exactly how I remember Cracker Barrels being in the past and the type of experience I've come to expect from this chain. The gift shop is always fun and has a great selection of products. There's always something for everyone.
Our server Robert was absolutely amazing. He gave us the best recommendations and was super nice. The food was incredible as well. We cannot wait to come back!

Ok, while dropping my vehicle off for service, thought I walk here for coffee and some breakfast. Well, I was blown away and so happy I decided to! I have always liked CB's coffee... and wow this…

Great pancakes and harshbrowns Very affordable Average wait time depending on day of the week 20 mins
Must start by saying the biscuits are the best I have ever had, from a restaurant! Kudos to whomever came up with the recipe, and those following it! *Standing Applause* As always, Cracker Barrel has delivered. Such a unique place. Always interesting. Lots of little shopping fun to go along with your meal. All round good food. Always clean. Always friendly people. My only complaint is the overcooking of the pork chops. Stop drying the pork out, pleeeease. Bare in mind: they leave the seasoning of the eggs up to the customer. Not a complaint. More of a point of point of interest. Maybe even a plus. And they fried them eggs, exactly as you ask, every time - always a positive. Also, honorable mention: the hashbrown casserole is fantastic to stick in your mouth. The baconey cheesey potato goodness.
Busy as usual and enjoyed time with family. Had the old timers breakfast and their sugar plum mimosa. The mimosa was bit to sweet and had edible glitter in it. Our server was great. Only down fall was my food was a bit in the cold side but I'll chop them up to being busy! Always enjoy visiting cracker barrel!
The quality of the food has really tanked since their problems with branding a few months ago. I got the grandpa breakfast. The chicken fried steak was a mass produced piece of junk. Nothing like they used to have. Absolutely horrible. Biscuits and rolls cold. Fried apples we're not near as good as it used to be before too. To go from bad branding to bad food is not what you want. Cracker barrel needs to stop nickel and diming us just to recoup its profits it lost.
We got there around 6pm not very busy, got seated and waited about 5 minutes before our server appeared. He was ok, thought he was funny and his multiple nose rings turned us off. Had to wait on corn muffins and buns. Never checked back in until he brought the check. I have to ask, whats up bringing rock hard butter for the breads that can't be spread?
The place is okay. I ordered curbside because I don't like to be at places I don't really feel welcomed. The food I had was a fried chicken plate. The crust was good but the chicken did not taste cooked good. I received a complimentary card that I could only redeem if I was in the store which is not cool. Then the second plate I received I had to buy. It was the chicken tender plate it was good but they forgot my bread🤦🏾 Then the food was all jumbled up because of the weak bags
This is normally a go to...if the time is right before the Sunday morning crowd. Seating was quick. Service was quick but we had many issues. Our waiter wasn't listening to us, and what we ordered. First, my wife ordered hot cocoa and never got it. She also ordered Coke Zero and he brought her a regular Coke. Next, I asked for the Grandma's Sampler and I asked about the hash browns, (I didn't realize that it came with hash browns). I really didn't want hash browns, so I asked about the Momma's Pancake breakfast. Here's where it got odd...He heard what he wanted to hear! He then brought me the Grandma's Sampler with hash browns, two scrambled eggs, and three pieces of bacon and two pancakes, (and no ham). I asked him and he said that I asked for extra bacon. My wife and I looked at each other baffled. Not only did I not order extra bacon, I didn't get any ham. I just let it slide. The food came quickly but there was a black hair on top of her eggs. That wasn't the waiters fault. This may all be trivial to some but it seemed like a lot of confusion since they weren't jammed, had some empty tables, and it is normally no issues.
Good place to eat at. The biscuits are always yummy. We had the Homestyle chicken and French toast. It’s a twist from chicken and waffles. If you like French toast over waffles it will be perfect for you. I also had the new. Buffalo buttermilk ranch chicken over Mac n chz. I thought it was very tasty! I would never turn this place down as an option to eat at. I also love the store.
Cracker barrel definitely gets 4 stars. The food is so good, but too much/big. Most the time I finish because it is so good, but regret it because now my stomach aches lol. They serve their tasty breakfast all day. But why 4 out of 5 stars?? Their wait can vary, but most the time it is very, Very, VERY, long. To spend the time though, they've put peg games on every table! To me the game is really fun, and I just know you've already played it. I already know what I'm going to get when I go there, so the first thing I pick up inside is the peg game, it's so addictive!😂
Such a friendly, warm, cozy place. Spend a little bit of time here and you will leave with a full tummy and a smile on your face. The front entryway is a old General Store of sorts. It has everything you never knew you always needed! Comfort food to the max! There are options for everyone. Don't be afraid of this place if you are vegetarian. Considering the high volume of traffic this place had very clean restrooms and very helpful staff.
Sometimes is too busy and waiting times is little more than your usually remember to come early or plan a head food can take little longer due waiting time but Every is great the waiters are always happy and due the best to make sure you ok
Must of been an off day. I had two of my grands with me and we were headed to a movie. Stopped to eat and kill some time. Before the server came over I heard him telling folks at the table close by sorry about the wait. So first thing I did was ask him about the wait and explained we had a movie to make. He said he would try and get it out promptly. I asked for to go boxes just in case. He did great getting the food out. The kids chicken was great the kids said. My meatloaf was so tiny lol but it worked out fine.
I had the Louisiana shrimp that was good but the hash brown casserole should have been in a separate dish. My wife had fireside chicken that had a beef broth. It was okay.
We love the food and environment but once in awhile service takes awhile as far as being acknowledged. Service is something they need to address with their employees. If you are short staffed or busy, it doesn’t matter what waiter or waitress is serving a table, it should be a joint effort to let those seated know, “hey I see you and we apologize for the wait but your server will be with you as soon as he or she can!” The times I’ve had to wait there is no eye contact and acknowledgement and I’m there waiting for 10 plus min with nobody saying anything. I totally understand being busy but you gotta be better with making people feel welcomed. Once we get a server they’re great.
The menu change, the quality is not as it used to be. The peach tea not like it used to be. chicken fried steak is OK got small smaller. Service was good for the table just the quality of food not really good anymore. The value is just not there like it used to be. I think it got too commercial, as incorporation. They’re not looking at what the people enjoy. Don’t mind paying money for the food at least that it taste good.
Chicken and Dumplings are just right, carrots and broccoli just right. CFS was not as good as in the past - kinda like process meat from dollar tree. Corn bread very good as well as all the veggies. Restaurants very well staffed and very clean. Not cluttered, very nice inside. Keep up the good work.
First, not trying to bash Cracker Barrel. Just voicing our experience, so maybe it can be avoided for someone else in the future. I did a curbside order. I picked it up and when I got home, I immediately realized by looking at the food that it was the wrong order. I immediately called them and started to drive back up there and they brought out our correct order. Luckily, I’m only about 2 minutes away. When I got home again, we looked at the food and two of the food items, one on each dish, were the incorrect food, even though it had the correct item on the receipt. We wanted loaded mashed potatoes and they gave us plain mashed potatoes. I called the restaurant again and spoke to a manager. He was very apologetic and professional. He refunded one of the meals, and also offered a free meal for the future. Then, as we were starting to eat, I realized the mashed potatoes were hard/stiff and cold, and my daughters breaded chicken strips were like they had been sitting out for a long while and maybe sitting under a heat lamp. I could pick up the whole chunk of mashed potatoes with my fork. The whole debacle of the wrong order did add on almost 20 minutes to where we could sit down and eat it. It shouldn’t have been THAT cold and hard. It tasted like it was cooked in the early afternoon and this was 8 o’clock at night. It totally ruined it for us, free or not. In contrast, the broccoli, mac & cheese, and the grilled chicken were all good and tasty! The cobbler and coca-cola cake were also great. We’ve always loved Cracker Barrel and we will definitely try it again. Hopefully, it was just a fluke!

This was the worst chicken fried steak I ever had! Taste like a frozen patty. Potatoes taste dry! Gravy was not fresh.
After seated we waited 15-20minutes and nobody offered anything to drink, water or anything till I had to get with them manager to let them know what's going on. The silverware was water stained and dirty. The waiter switched them out but still looked the same as they old ones. It was stuffy in here. They gave ceiling fans but not turned on till we said something to them. Then food was ok but not a lot for the price. It was pretty good. I haven't eaten at Crackle Barrel in a long time and my opinion it hasn't gotten any different.
Service was great, though there may have only been 5-6 other occupied tables throughout. I got the Old Timer Breakfast, which came with rock hard overcooked sausage, great eggs and hash browns, hot delicious biscuits, and gravy with a fly (was promptly replaced, still took away my appetite to find). Overall, Cracker Barrel locations all over seem to have taken a bit of a dive in quality.
Fish was smelly. Couldn't eat the entire meal. Corn breads were excellent. Our wait stuff was difficult to find if we have a question. Some dessert menu has been curtailed.
We go often but this time. Portions were small. Plain hashbrowns were still crunchy. Ordered eggs and they must have been from the smallest chickens ever. Maybe they are trying to recoup from their advertising debacle. The guy at the cash register had an attitude like we were kind of a bother.
Once seated, our party sat there 12 minutes and finally had to grab a random waitress to take our drink order. Food came out timely, but in multiple trips with some cold and 3 orders incorrect.
Cracker barrel is a tradition for us when traveling for Christmas. This visit took about 2 hours from check in to paying the check. The food was consistent so no complaints there. Service was good. This is the first time I've been to a cracker barrel in December that wasn't decorated for Christmas. It seems silly but it does add to our experience.

Went in for breakfast. I had to send my biscuits back because they were not baked through. The gravy had a rancid taste as did the biscuits. We’ve visited Cracker Barrel all over the Country while traveling and this was the worst! Owners need to take a look at the kitchen. It might need a good cleaning! Our server was very nice though. He was the only thing good about our visit.
This location has seemed to have gone down. I’ve had two bad experiences in a row now. This past visit my party of 6 was told it would be about 5 minute wait until a table was ready. I could see two dirty tables by the front that sat 6, so I figured they’d clean one and we’d be sat down. 35 minutes later tables were still dirty and we hadn’t been sat. I brought this to the hostess attention and she was nice about it and called someone. It still took 10 minutes for someone to come clean the table. The restaurant was not busy, there was no line and no wait for groups of less than 6. Food wasn’t bad, service was slow even after being seated, biscuits were nice and fresh. Won’t be back.
We went for breakfast and I did not even eat. The waiter told me what I couldn’t have but didn’t even try to offer a solution or tell me what was on the menu that would be close to what I wanted. My partner ended up just getting his food to go bc we were both underwhelmed. His medium steak was overcooked with not even a pinch of salt on it. It had no flavor at all. I’m giving two stars for the pancakes bc he said they were ok. This is the first time I’ve ever eaten at a Cracker Barrel and received this kind of service. I won’t be back to eat at this location again. The employees in the store area were more friendly and welcoming, & the store had some great items. If I had to leave and go eat somewhere else, that’s a problem. Another Broken Egg gets it right everytime no matter how busy they are. Waiters are nice, friendly and attentive at Another Broken Egg. I’ll continue to eat where my service is wanted and appreciated.
Service was pretty disappointing. It feels like there’s a general decline in competency across the board these days. Our waitress really struggled to listen—ask for six things, you get four; ask for three, maybe one shows up. It’s frustrating when it seems like there’s just no attention being paid. The food was warm, but clearly not fresh. Some items had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. Our order wasn’t correct either, which unfortunately felt on-brand for the rest of the experience. We hadn’t been here in four or five years, and honestly, it doesn’t look like much has changed. Pricing is about what you’d expect for a chain, but the management really needs to step up and help staff take more pride in their work. That seems to be a rare thing these days, though. The table was sticky when we sat down, and as someone who’s worked in the restaurant industry, I know cleanliness should never be optional. The floors were dirty too. There are plenty of other spots in BCS that hold a higher standard—sadly, this isn’t one of them.
Just slow to cook 2 pancakes plates for togo. I understand it's might be a lil busy but essentially breakfast does not take 20 mins extra to cook a simple plates
I’m not one to write negative reviews, but I felt the need to share our dining experience. The front-of-house staff was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, the food was just awful. We’ve been coming here for years, and this was by far the worst meal we’ve had. The food we were served clearly wasn’t fresh—it seemed like it had been sitting for hours. The mashed potatoes were caked with grease and tasted stale, so I politely asked to switch to fries instead. The fries came out in about two minutes, rubbery and just as stale. We left disappointed and feeling shortchanged on what should’ve been an enjoyable dinner out for two. Please do better, Cracker Barrel.

Extremely racist towards my family! My Hispanic father asked for the manger and they laughed at him until he got my white husband to ask and they acted different with him. They were giving us excuses…
I’ve been a customer of Cracker Barrel for years, but I don’t like what the restaurant chain has turned into. The food and experience are not what they used to be, and the direction the company is taking has pushed me away. I can’t support them anymore, and I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other places where I’d rather spend my money.
We ordered for delivery. Two entrees, meatloaf and fried chicken. Apparently, the meatloaf didn't suck... The fried chicken was AWFUL! By the time it got to us, it was WAY overcooked, and seemed like it had been under a heat lamp since lunch. The meat was dry, and stringy. The skin/coating was WAY too dry and salty. I was SO looking forward to some good fried chicken... should've ordered from Church's or Popeye's.
My family has been eating here for years and the quality has gone down tremendously this past year or so, both in terms of the service and the food. We had breakfast there this morning, and had to wait a good 20 minutes after being seated for anybody to even come take our drink order. Another 15 minutes to receive the drinks, and it was clear none of the servers cared about their customers satisfaction at all. Then we received our food and my country ham had an absolutely rancid smell and was more gray than brown. When I brought this up to our server, I was told I didn’t know what I was talking about and “country ham just smells like that”. Never mind the fact I’ve been ordering the country boy breakfast with country ham for YEARS and have never had my country ham smell like wet dog before. I took one bite and it was absolutely awful. If you’re going to serve bad, half rotten food at least own up to it when confronted. Absolutely appalling. My family and I will be eating at The Kettle from now on. Avoid this Cracker Barrel, especially on weekends! They get the same busy crowd EVERY weekend but still have no idea how to manage the amount of customers they get.
Unable to get seat. Told 35minutes, but gave up after waiting over an hour. Better to get breakfast at a quicker restaurant. Still good food. Half the price and little wait. Follow up response to Cracker Barrel: You asked for more information on a poor review. My family had a reservation for 5. We were initially told 35 minutes wait. At the 30ish minute mark we asked the associate taking the reservations how many were ahead of us and told there were two parties. Seemed like we would be seated in the next 10 minutes or so. Around 10-12 party seating announcements later and at the hour mark we were still 7 parties down on the wait list. Either we were mislead, twice, or you have some serious issues with customer service. Either way, not a good recommendation to dine at Cracker Barrel.
Thanksgiving dinner today !!!!! The absolute worst!!! Turkey was like pressed lunch meat, stuffing had minimal flavor, sweet potatoes were pureed with no seasoning, cranberry sauce was minimal, biscuits/bread and green beans were tasty. Will NEVER get this again, tasted like hospital food on a sodium restricted diet.
I order thru DoorDash and I was just calling to tell there that it will take 45 minutes before they could get there to pickup my order and when I was waiting for the associate to get there restaurant staff member to tell them they hung up the phone. And when my order arrived it was missing an item and the food was really old. They only get it right when I call and that’s it and everyone asks my why don’t I quit ordering from there it’s because I do like the food when I get all the items I paid for.
I placed this order a day in advance for pickup at 7:30 a.m., yet when I arrived, it was not ready until 8:20 a.m. I spoke with the manager, who did not seem concerned and did not offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience. We spent well over $100 on a company breakfast, which was delayed due to this lack of preparation and poor customer service.
1- Restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. 2- Fdied chicken tenders were horrible. Why are they too much breaded? I cannot taste the chicken. It is a No No. Chicken Express is much much much better. 3- French fries were good. The only thing I was able to finish. 4- Corn bread was so dry and it smelled like butter. 5- the apple side was too sugary. I could not finish it. 6- The cheese macaroni smelled like milk and it is not fresh. I could not finish it. In a nutshell, they really need to re-consider their food and focus on food quality. I wish if Robert Irvine can come here and give you his opinion. I would not come here again. This is my 1st visit and my last.
This location no matter what just can’t seem to get it right. I have frequented the Conroe location before moving here and it never fails I’m either missing items from the meal order or service overall is slow/lacking. I’ve ordered the grandma sampler today and ended up with no ham along with no dipping sauce for my onion petals but the receipt says “stop and check” indicating they review the meal before bagging… if this were the case things wouldn’t be missing as often as they are!
I love the food here, but Victoria taking names is very rude and might need some additional training on customer service. However, Renee that sit us is very pleasant. Maybe switch those 2 out for a better customer service.
Ordered a meal with biscuits and gravy. After asking 3 separate times to 2 different people for biscuits after people all around us that were seated after us had received their biscuits ours finally came after our plates were given. I let her know that my biscuits and gravy were not brought with my meal and she said that I needed to grab biscuits from the basket that was supposed to have come at the beginning of our experience and she brought a side of gravy and I was expected to make my own meal. I have three boys and by the time she brought my gravy of course they had eaten the ones in the basket. I was not expecting to have to make my own biscuits and gravy from the table basket. Even after seeing my expression and seeing an empty basket she never tried to bring me my biscuits and gravy as I ordered. I shared my experience with the front as well. No resolution. A manager never came out to speak with me and I even said I was emailing corporate which I did yesterday immediately after my experience and no one has called me. Worst experience. And this went as far as - when we asked for the third time she went to the table within ear shot and asked them how they were enjoying their biscuits. I can not make this up. Picture of the biscuits and gravy I was given. I’ve ordered biscuits and gravy across the US and it’s never been served to me this way.
Overall the entire restaurant experience was disappointing and lacking in customer service. My girlfriend and I walked to the hostess counter and she was not there. We waited patiently and after a while the hostess still had not shown up. A number of waiters and service employees made eye contact with us but refused to acknowledge that we had been standing there for quite some time already, as was the party behind us. The attitude of “it’s not my problem” seems to be the culture of this Cracker Barrel. Upon finally being seated, unfortunately our waiting experience with Esther was not much better. She made it rather difficult when taking our order and was asking if my girlfriend wants her eggs well done, medium, or medium rare… Nothing needs to be said about that. I had asked for coffee, which was ultimately forgotten and not brought until I reminded her and received it minutes before we left the restaurant. Additionally she had charged us wrong on the receipt. My girlfriend requested a fruit cup as a side, which was never brought. Finally a table next to us had dropped her glass of water on the floor , causing glass to spread everywhere. Every single employee stared at the customer as SHE was the one who got up and started to clean up the mess herself. It wasn’t until she was finally done that someone stepped in with a broom and scooper. After that employee left NO wet floor sign was placed. All the employees just walked around it, again the “it’s not my problem” culture. This was a very disappointing experiencing and we will not be going to this restaurant in the future.
Food was cold, like REFRIGERATED cold. Not anywhere near warm and edible. Didn’t receive my full order. Quality of food items was HORRIBLE; might as well have been scraps. Took FOREVER to receive my food. At least the server was polite. I don’t get it. Early dinner service on a week night. No wonder Cracker Barrel “isn’t meeting expectations.”
