Gangnam House at the Source offers high-quality Korean BBQ, especially the aged and prime meats. Many reviewers praise the excellent service, with some servers even cooking the meat for customers. Some find it pricey, and service can be slow when busy.
Tip: Located on the 3rd floor (rooftop) of The Source. Parking structure 4A is closest to the restaurant.
Gangnam House is a great spot in Orange County for Korean BBQ. The atmosphere is clean and chic. And the service is friendly and prompt. You'll be given tools to cook your own meat. However, if you are not inclined to cook yourself, your server will cook the meat for you. This will free you up to focus on just eating. The cuts of meat are very good and do have a premium feel. They also keep your sidedishes replenished. I recommend.
This place is amazing! Kevin and the crew were so welcoming. I was just charging my Tesla and I just came for a quick bite and I watched the whole ducks game here. I’m bring my family and friends here next week! Food was amazing and the service was impeccable!
Gangnam House was such a great K-BBQ experience! As soon as we walked in, the staff welcomed us right away. The guy who helped us even cooked the meat for us, and he was super friendly the whole time. Great service and tasty food definitely worth checking out!
It was a nice peaceful lunch celebrating my birthday and father's day. It was not busy so we were able to enjoy the food.
Conveniently located in The Source, Gangnam House can be found on the 3rd floor (rooftop). Location was very spacious and clean. We were pleasantly surprised to see that you can enjoy both KBBQ and homestyle Korean food all at one place. We had some delicious brisket (server grilled for us), beef tartare bibimbap, LA galbi, and of course a steamed egg for good measure 🥚 Our servers were very friendly and attentive in making sure the meat wasn’t burnt. Overall, we had a lovely meal and would come back again!
This was my first time eating KBBQ that wasn’t AYCE. They have individual meat plates or combos available to order. We ordered the two person combo which was about $60 and it came with 3 meat dishes, rice, soup, and drinks. I think it was definitely worth the money. Everything tasted delicious and the meat was high quality. I felt like it was the perfect amount of food for two people and we enjoyed the service.
GangNam House opened on 1st of Oct, 2017. Today, I ate Aged Prime Boneless Short Ribs and Unseasoned Prime Short Ribs. It tastes superb. I can feel quality of beef and It was melted in my mouth. Also, ventilation was good, so I could not see smoke. I recommend you to go this restaurant to feel good quality of beef and good taste.
Despite what others may have said online, the service was great and the meat quality is better than other ayce places. If you value quantity over quality, ayce places may be more suitable, but if you don't have a huge appetite, the combination GH offers are more than sufficient. Marinated short ribs are especially delicious.

Why I’m writing this review it’s because the food was good. The brisket was good and the lady too and I appreciate her so much and grateful she should get a $10 tip and every time she pick up the food when she when it’s cooked she says it’s hot. That’s nice. Good vibes.
It was very pleasurable experience because of the lady’s service she was not only kind but also extremely smart she knows how to make customers happy You made our Sunday even better!!
Great Service, I left my credit card mistakenly, the manager personally mailed the credit card to my home in NJ all the way from California.
Overall really great experience and delicious food. Meat tastes of high quality, and the side dishes are various and plentiful. Your choice of flavored soju.
It may seem pricy but for 2 people, it's just enough and can take your left overs home since it's not AYCE! And to top it off, if you're feeling a little lazy, they cook it for you! I just keep coming back every week!
This has been our favorite place for KBBQ!
Idk why this resto has 4.1 but the service and food was immaculate. They refilled our side dishes so fast.
Great Korean BBQ and Great Service! Awesome place to get quality meat. I usually don't add nothing to the meat except salt, tastes amazing!
A fantastic and memorable variety of flavors! Everything I had was cooked on the spot and a delight to eat. I couldn't be more impressed with everything I had there, and it was a pleasure to be there.
10/10 :) great service, good food, good side dishes, loved their soy sauce with peppers(?)
Favorite K-BBQ. You can't beat the quality of the meat. It's not all you can eat that's what makes the difference and great service every time.
Good deal for the amazing quality of melt-in-your-mouth marbled beef 🥩. Good ventilation. Hope to try their cold noodle soups next time!
It was a very good expérience. The service was perfect. Thank you 😊
Me and a few friends enjoy the overwhelming hospitality and service! A couple laughs over a stove and over all had a blast!
very good quality of meat with great service! this isn't cheap all-you-can eat place..
Best Korean food we ever had! The chicken soup and cold noodles are really really nice!
The meat here is tender and juicy, if feels like the meat is somewhat not a meat but a marsmallow, yeah because it is too tender, I think you can eat it with your lips, you do t need a teeth lol. I will be coming over again
Great food and lots of it! They have a huge patio for outdoor dining. Although you can't do the traditional table top grilling, the meat comes cooked hot and sizzling on a stone platter right from the kitchen. Lots of delicious endless side dishes and large portions of everything you order. I recommend the Marinated Kalb, spicy marinated pork, and the stone pot bibimbap! The pot was filled to the brim and is enough to share with 2 or even 3 people. Plenty of room for social distancing from other diners so no worries about health and safety concerns. Can't wait till it opens up fully inside to get the full experience
Right now, compared to Kbbq restaurants in Irvine, this place serves cheaper and higher quality meat than other all-you-can-eat places. I ate with other families here a couple of times, but we came out around 20$ per person in my family! I'd love to come here more often, but it's sadly a 50 min drive one way. :( Some notes: the hood was a minor inconvenience, since one of them didn't seem to work. For dinners in winter break, they didn't seem busy, especially with a couple tables open.
I had the kalbi which I found very delicious. The meat is tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Price was great for lunch. My husband had the bibimbap and it was delish as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. Hope they don't change but keeps getting better. I'd go back here regularly even if it were a 30-min drive for us.
It is located in a nice shopping center. This Korean BBQ is one of my family's favorite restaurants. It is good for both meat lover and salad lover 😋. They serve unlimited side dishes and salad for free.
The service is so good! The gentleman working here was so nice and really funny, also the rest of the staff were so sweet!! I love all the korean dishes here. I'm not korean but I can tell lots of the dishes were authentic and so freaking good. The dishes were a little bit higher price, but worth it!! Specially if you are good with sharing with the whole table if friends!
First time here the food so far is amazing. The wagyu beef belly is so sweet and so flavorful i love it! The workers are extremely nice definitely worth the wait !
The food quality was great not an all you can eat but the group combo was more than enough. They are really attentive and made sure our side dishes were always full.
Healthy meals, and the customer service was absolutely amazing. I eat carefully because I have Crohns, and the extra care in preparing a special warm soup with meal was unexpected, and much appreciated. The thoughtfulness, and petsonal care made me feel special ☺️
We got the “C” station and of course the 1st stop is the Prime Kotsal and USDA Prime beef Galbi. Taste is 5/5 It match’s perfectly well with our Sapporo beer lol. Our server Jun was amazing and he helped us pick what was good and helped us with what option to pick from the menu. First time visiting but will definitely come back. If you are in Buena Park I would highly recommend visiting GangNam Station in Buena Park!
Very good quality meats and menu options. Large restaurant with many tables. can get busy during peak hours. Lots of parking available in the parking structure. Park on level 3 to walk across to the restaurant which is located on the west side of the source Mall. If you are unfamiliar with Korean BBQ, this is a good place to start as you will enjoy the food and they actually do the cooking for you.
They have great pork belly here and their kimchi pancake was fire! Definitely coming back!
Quality meat and exceptional service. Waitress stood at the table and cooked the meat the entire time!
This place is very close to the Marriot hotel. When I stayed there for business I like coming here for dinner by myself. I have had hot stone bibimbap and soy paste stew here, which were both very delicious. They are also very generous with the side dishes, you can ask for more if you finish them. One more thing that I like about them is their takeout order. They give you side dishes if you order takeout! They are packed in small containers and that really impressed me. Price is super reasonable as well. I would love to come back next time with a friend or two so I can try their KBBQ.
We came around noon on a Friday and we were seated right away. We got the marinated boneless short rib with spicy cold noodles. I'm very partial to spiciness but the noodles were a sweet spicy which was new and tasty. Loved the appetizers they give you before hand and complimentary ice cream afterwards! We're planning to go back to try the meat platters.
It’s one of the best Korean places within the source. There’s many different places on beach Blvd. each person has their favs. Gangnam house stands out for its location, vibe and service. You can’t go wrong here. People might have different favs, but saying this place isn’t good, is just biased. Great for a date night! 전 여기에 불고기를 좋아해요
CLEAN KBBQ SPOT IN SOURCE OC MALL⭐️ came here during lunch and was seated right away! went with their gangnam style beef special combo for $39.99 (included brisket, ribeye, bulgogi, along with a variety of other sides and soups) they offered so many side dishes - i kept getting refills! my favorite was the hearty galbitang which came with a big piece of meat! the bibimbap is also a must try!! i love their interior! super clean work spacious seating. perfect for big groups as well~ the service was amazing and the workers were so accommodating
This is mine and my boyfriend’s first time here, came since a friend and tiktok made it sound like a yummy experience. Everything here is delicious, and the service is on point. May need to come back more often even though it’s a 2 hour drive!! It’s THAT good! They have happy hour for lunch!! (How cool is that)!! Thank you to the wonderful staff! Hope to see you soon!
Amazing place, quality meat and A++ service. Sara was an amazing host. Definitely coming back. We got the beef combo, beer, and llpoom. Food was great but the service really took it over the top.
The food and service has improved immensely since my last visit last year! The BBQ was authentic and very good quality, meat nothing to compare to all you can eat meat! The service was great and very attentive and price was reasonable compared to the quality.
Great service. Meats are fantastic. Dry aged and seam to be prime. Really enjoyed this place.
Thos is the place where I always recommend to any meat lover. Woodae galbi and rib eye, ggotsal. Banchan are very nice. Service is one of Top in town. Very roomy tables. It's all good for your occasional meeting with nice dinner.

Located on the top floor of the busy Source OC. It’s a very nice place, with lots of glass windows for excellent views. I liked being seated by the window where we can people watch as the sun sets. The staff is pretty friendly, though at times felt rushed when they were serving us. We were seated right away 5pm on a Saturday, but I can see it getting busier and busier as the night went on. The meat quality is good, not the best I’ve had, but overall good quality meats which is reflected in the premium pricing. The banchan spread is good too, and with kbbq it includes a tofu soup and steamed egg. I’m normally not a fan of the potato salad, but this I enjoyed, The sweet corn made it stand out. The cucumbers were a refreshing sweet. Kimchi, japchae were all delicious. Not sure if we could’ve asked for more as we weren’t offered any more when they took our empty plates. The beef brisket had a great amount of marbling, which was great. Wish the portion was larger though. Not sure if we should’ve just gotten the combo if the portions are the same. The pork brisket is a pass for us. Not bad by any means, but I’d get something else if we come back The marinated short rib was probably my favorite dish. The perfect amount of marbling and marinaded well. Juicy and tender. It was a nice meal overall. While I wouldn’t consider this place a must-try, especially with so many options at the Source, it’s a good place for a quality meal.
The premium short rib is really really delicious. Highly recommend! The bbq meat also has a great quality. The only thing is there wasn't enough staff working there on weekday, so the service is a bit slow.
Parking structure 4A is closest to the restaurant. The dry-aged prime ribeye wasn’t worth $58.99. The marinated bone-in short rib was delicious and our toddler liked it a lot. We got complimentary seaweed soup which our toddler liked as well. I personally liked the side dishes that went well with the meat. Their service needs improvements. Compared to other KBBQ places like Kanghodong and Quarters, they don’t have servers being responsible for certain tables. It’s hard to get the servers attention cause they are so busy.
It is a kind of Korean BBQ. We ordered Beef Rib and Water Noodle. Food was not bad, but expensive comparing to the quality of food(one person at least more than $50).
Expensive but really good food. The meat is good and this is the first Korea BBQ place I have been to where the staff cooks it for you. I recommend the combos. You get a decent amount of food, soju and a nice sized soup. Staff is attentive until they get busy.

It's one of the better place around for korean food n bbq. For price, quantity is pretty good and so is the quality. Service is hot n cold. It is on the noisy side to carry on conversations. But it definitely one of the better korean place.
Food was good but the service was pretty amateur. Waiters kept forgetting about simple requests like cups, side dishes, etc.
Very good service. The staffs will cook the meet for you at your table. I came at around noon time so there was no line or waiting
The best korean BBQ place in town. 꽃살 is the best. The quality of beef. I give them 4.5.
A decent KBBQ. If you don't like a long wait in other KBBQ place in Buena Park, this place is a good option.
Is not a ayce kbbq. The place was great, but the food looked like a bit overpriced, but overall, I had a great experience eating there. The server was pretty attentive. Loved that they have the option for two people though
2 person beef combo. Beef was good quality. Banchan was good. Just need to ask server to put on meat slower because they are so fast.
-Updated Review (original down below)- I'm giving one more star from the last review 🌟 I haven't gone to this place for a while, and when I went again, maybe I was lucky, but the place didn't have a long wait. 1) I waited about 10-15 mins. My old grandpa was using a walker and the employees let him wait inside although they try to make people wait outside the restaurant, so that was nice of them. 2) It seemed the self service offer (mentioned in original review) is now gone, so I don't have to complain about that. Employees there take care of everything pretty quickly. 3) As I mentioned, the meat quality is still great. 4) Bathroom is still not in great shape. -Original Review below- Probably not worth your money you are paying for the food and service you get. 1. I was asked if I can cook the meat ourselves, then they would offer us tofu/kimchi plate. When I got the plate, it didn't look anything like the one on the picture shown to me. 2. Now that they don't have to worry about our meat cooking, they didn't bother us checking on us how things are going. Every time I needed a service, I had to shout or wave for a long time to get any attention. 3. Stuff is super expensive. Meat quality is definitely good, but not sure if it's worth the price. 4. Wait was long (~40 mins on weekend 1:30pm ish) 5. Man's bathroom was dirty. (but I didn't really bother addressing it to the servers so maybe it could be just a temporary issue)
Aged prime tenderloin was really tender! Dry aged prime ribeye was little expensive but really flavorful. Side dishes were not too great. Naeng myun was really good, but I wish they had smaller portions. Servers were really helpful and attentive. Park on the third floor of the parking structure.
Fresh quality foods and meats. If you value quality this is the place to go. The banchan is very fresh as well. The amount of meat is a little bit on the low side but overall great kbbq place. Restaurant is very spacious and good place to have a conversation.
The food was okay. Not the best location for Korean BBQ services was moderate to poor waiter did not help us or tried to help with our language barrier she tried to sell us the most expensive items without explaining what came with it or what we wanted to order no one offered us any drinks besides the waters we had to ask for I would come again but with a friend who can translate for me other then that I was not satisfied
I'm both amazed and thankful that they accepted a reservation for our party of 20! We were all watching a 7:30 pm movie at CGV Cinemas on the opposite end of the Source and had enough time to order and eat at a comfortable pace with our 5 pm reservation. They seated us in four tables of 5 next to each other and allowed us to split bills as each table did a group order, with no extra automatic gratuity tacked on. Friend and I wanted to try several things, so we split the cold buckwheat noodles, seafood pancake, and galbi. I forgot to ask if they can cook the pancake extra crispy, but it was still good nevertheless. All the food we ordered were yummy. Definitely nice to be able to split with a friend to try more items! Parking is very easy in the structure for the Source.

Well... I think the their meat were great, but they need more waiters / waitess. Our meat was overcooked, and no one was available to change the burnt cooking plate. They even brought us the check when we had one entire dish left on the table, uncooked. Hope the service would improve afterwards.
LA 갈비 rib had too much fat. But 비빔냉면 spicy cold nooldle and 육계장 spicy beef broth soup was ok.
It was hot day when I visited Gangnam House. The air was "on", but I was sweating, the front entrance door is wide open and never closed. The hoods were not doing the job for BBQ. An employee's were friendly and nice. The quality of foods were a lot better than the past visit. Much better than previous visit. I think serving an ice cream on stick is cool, but when I tried to reach one, all gone.
Quality of food is fairly good since I have seen worse Korean beef BBQ places. But I am not sure if the quality of beef corresponds to the price appropriately. It is a newly opened restaurant and they still have a lot of improvements to make.
Other than the BBQ, the food is expensive and not very good. The staff are friendly. It's too loud to talk.
Overpriced food and poor service. Don't waste your money or time here. There are better places a few minutes such as Baekjeong. It took us about 45 minutes to get seated even though there were multiple open tables. This just shows poor management. Once we were seated, a server didn't come to our table until we hunted one down. Once we got our food, a server came to our table only once. We had to constantly hunt a server down to just even get refills for water. The food quality is just okay and not really worth the price. We ordered Combo B which was $100. The brisket was pretty good, but the short rib was chewy and not tender.
The food is really good but the customer service was trash! The host just pointed to our table from the entrance and didn't walk us to our table we never had designated server, we sat there for a few minutes until we had to aggressively call some one to help us out and still they never ask if we needed guidance or any drinks the only time we were asked is we needed help is we needed anything was the end when he had to pay our bill
Ok.. the food was okay.. although it was a bit pricey. But the servers were pretty bad. None of them had smile on their face. The one who served us, C.K., would have done very well on the poker table. And I thought it was her personality, but she was plenty playful with other servers. But as soon as she came over to our table, she had the best poker face ever. Manager should train the servers better.
It used be really nice service and food but there were only 2 servers at peak dinner time - the owner is too greedy to make money. No offense to the servers who did an amazing job
The side dishes and bean paste soup were not good at all. Meat was OK. Not recommended.
Food was okay, just like regular kbbq.. but the service was actually terrible, and the servers were very rude. We actually found a piece of plastic in our sauce, and when we asked for it to be swapped, they took it in and didn’t bring another one, until we had to ask 2 more times. we ordered the combo b, which comes with 3 rice, they didn’t give it to us until we asked about it, which they responded with “oh you want it right now..?” (we were in the middle of our meal btw). they gave us 2 spoons for 4 people, and when we asked for 2 more, they said ok and didn’t bring it. we asked 4 different servers for a spoon. we were not given one until our 5th time asking. They told us to not grill the meat ourselves, but when they put the meat on the grill, they left for long periods of time, making it impossible to eat without us grilling. Why would you tell us to not touch the tongs and stuff when ygs are also not gonna do it for us? I also want to add that they never gave us the banchan until the middle of our meal, when we asked about it. food was fine, but terrible experience.
The food was old and the portions got significantly smaller than before. The picture shows the amount meant for two people. The meat was old. I used to be a big fan of this place ever since they opened. They no longer cook the meat for you when they did before. For the price, the quality of the meat, and the amount of meat, I would have been better off going to all you can eat kbbq buffet for half of the price I paid with triple the portions with better quality. (AYCE has better quality meat.) The quality has become trash. Side dishes were made way too ahead of time that everything was stale and soggy. Also got sick from the old food the next day. The waiters don't really pay attention to customers let alone not cooking the meat for you. They were just chatting around far away from the customers. They were asking for payments at 8pm because they said they were closing the register when their hours were until 9pm. No wonder there were hardly any people in the restaurant when other restaurants in the same building were flooded with people. I would never visit the place again. Too bad I had to let go of my used to be favorite place to eat.

A mustard lady gave me. Frozen half bottom, like yellow water on half top. I wasn't paying attention. I squeeze the bottle to my 물냉면. I had terrible 물냉면. I hope owner or manager is doing something about it.
I ordered a beef combo A. All three meat quality was subpar. Meat looked old and smelly. Don’t recommend.
Easily the most unprofessional bbq place of all time. This place has the worse service and have people running all over the place like a zoo. Can’t enjoy my bbq while there’s everyone flying around knocking stuff down. No go.
Bad service they forgot about us and they did not have a main waiter to help us so we had to repeat are selfs multiple times just to get are meat no worth the price I mad better meat
What a horrible customer service this place has!!! I've never and ever seen such a rude people in my life. I won't go to this place. They need to learn from the beginning. please save your money!
I don't know how this place is still in business. I came here with my girlfriend for brunch and got sat down right away. I'm not Korean and neither is my girlfriend, as soon as I sat down I noticed every customer there was Korean. We ordered a simple hot stone bulgogi and banchan was included. And then they brought us the wrong dish which had a several pieces of thin beef bulgogi. Nobody came and checked on us for any refills and purposely ignored us and wouldn't speak to us while they frequently attended other tables with customers who came in after us! We managed to flag down the waitress to ask for more water and she never came back with it. Shortly after, we asked a different employee for more kimchi cucumbers and then he told us they ran out. A few minutes later I saw them bring cucumbers for another table and keep in mind we came here an hour after they opened...? THIS IS A RACIST BUSINESS DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE NOT KOREAN
We arrived at 9:00 pm to have dinner and the host & manager told us that they ran out of meat. Supposedly they close at 10:00 pm. Just wow... We will not go to this place with false advertising on hours of service.
worst customer service. the pork belly stuck onto the pan and ended up burning, no fat, tasted like rubber. we asked them for a change but the same thing happened. ended up returning back the other orders of meat because everything was so bad. everyones running around and no one grills for you. manager nowhere in sight. poor quality meat. i don’t recommend this place at all
People say this place used to be good before covid, but this place was no bueno. Most importantly, quality of the meat was terrible; we ordered a combo, filet mignon, cold noodle, etc. We were on the waitlist at the M on the same floor, but we didn’t want to wait. That was a mistake, and I plan to never go back here. (6/25/2022) I realize it’s a tough time for everyone, but I write this in hopes of management bettering their quality of ingredients.
They automatically added a 20% gratuity to our bill with zero advance warning or notice! Also, they lumped on sales tax with the subtotal in this gratuity. All while not doing any grilling for us or offering bibim nengmyun “because of covid” - while packed to the gills indoors with unmasked patrons… what?
This place used to be great. I don't know what happened to it. The appetizers looked like they had been prepared the day before, same for the marinated meat, service could care less, water had no ice, closed the register an hour early forcing us to pay early, and the portions were much much smaller, but maybe that was a blessing.... no wonder they were empty, only us and 3 other tables the whole time, @$50 each, never again, cheap new owners won't have to cut corners longer, guarantee this place is closing unless someone else steps up and fixes it..
Really disappointing experience. The service was very unsatisfactory, and it was extremely difficult to get a server’s attention. All of our meat was burnt, and the grills were never changed. The servers were also unkind. I would never go back again.
