Hands down the best restaurant I've ever been to! The wait staff was friendly. The owner came over multiple times to check on us and bring us extra corn bread which was divine!! Amazing local family feel yet also elegant and romantic! Beyond fabulous food!! Best steak and Rib Eye I've ever had in my life! We are from out of state but will definitely be back!! The owner even wrapped up some corn bread for us for breakfast the next morning when he heard we were staying in a hotel! Thanks Phil!!!

Loved the food (Sirloin Steak), the desert (freshest and testiest tiramisu I ever had), and the people (friendly and thoughtful). If you want quality both for the food and the environment you dine in, this is the place. Great job!

Loved my 1st experience there. From the bartender, the waitress to the owner everyone was super friendly. Very old school service that you don't get anywhere anymore. Food servings were great, food quality was good and I will be returning with friends. I highly recommend.

Lovely place. Coming from Princeton NJ, it was a pleasure to see some interesting items on the menu. Stuffed banana peppers - delicious! Good selection of speciality coffee. But all of this is after you entering into a cozy interior and have a warm welcome greeting from the stuff. I am not very often in Buffalo NY area, but this place is definitely on my list

Food was amazing-we had prime rib and prime rib on weck. The homemade grape balsamic dressing is amazing. Service was very friendly, like everyone knows your name kind of friendly. The building smells old when you walk in, but honestly, the old atmosphere is part of the vibe. There is a reason why this place has been around forever!

Coming from Michigan, I had to order the Prime Rib on Weck (comes with a side of Au Jus for dipping), which I had heard is a staple around these parts of the woods. I have to say, it takes an acquired taste to really enjoy this sandwich and I found out that my tastebuds just didn’t want to cooperate. Maybe in the future I’ll give it another try, but for now, I’m steering clear of anything on Weck. I still recommend you try it, as always. Happy eating!

Made a reservation by phone, which went well. We were able to get the time we needed. It's an older restaurant in a smaller space, so tables are pretty close, but they made the same work. Our server was friendly and welcoming. Simple menu with enough options to satisfy everyone. The food took a while. We sat and ordered all our food after 15 minutes of being seated. Food didn't land for another hour. The Food was subpar. Wife's soup was very salty, and everything seemed okay. The taste didn't match the cost. Everyone was friendly, and I didn't leave angry, but some things needed to be upgraded.

The neighborhood appeared sketchy to me a tourist, and the covered windows and doors were a bad sign. But the inside was fine and inviting. I was a little disappointed in the price of the portion size I got, see photo. But the food was tasty, large meaty sea scallops and a perfectly done baked potato, just not enough food for the money.

First time guests from a family recommendation. Weekend nights it is highly recommended to make a reservation as the restaurant was near capacity by 5:30pm. Host seemed unenthusiastic and grumpy. Our table was forgotten about for about 15 minutes before we were asked what drinks we wanted. Atmosphere was dark and large majority of the patrons are over 75. Food was not delayed but was either under or over cooked. Staff was seen folding napkins and preparing linen in the dining area and was a distraction to our meal. It is unlikely that we will return for a second visit due to the price we paid for our meal and service we received.
