Great food at fair price. Very clean and friendly. The buffet on Wednesdays is always fresh and well maintained! Also non buffet days (no pun) are great, one of the best things I've eatten in awhile! As always super nice staff and very clean. To update this 3 years later I still love this place great food and staff. The waitress always remembers us and our orders. Great local small businesses with flavorful food. Nice warm cozy atmosphere in dineing room.
Wow- this place is delicious! My bestie and I came here for the all you can eat buffet on a Wednesday night. Great idea to check it out, especially if you are new to Indian food and not sure what you may like. Here is your answer, and you get to try it all. Wonderful wait staff service. Everything was wonderful. I will be back to bring my friends and family.
The menu, food and quality are impeccable. The entire environment is welcoming - including the servers. I am so glad my friends introduced me to here. Very delicious. My friends from India said this is the real deal “AUTHENTIC” with great service.
All around great place. Awesome service. Wonderful tasty food. Love the buffet because it gives you a great selection of many different meals. Always keep your water filled and tables cleared. Plus their extra hot sauce is s perfect blend yo any meal.
I love this place! My boyfriend and I go here all the time for their dinner buffets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Their food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. The vegetarian options are great. Although, I wish that they served the vegetable biriyani more often. Also, their rice pudding is delicious! Would definitely recommend. :)
My Husband and I have gotten food from here so many times and it’s always delicious! Dining in, the food comes out pretty quickly and our server is always very friendly.
This was my first time enjoying this cuisine and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and plenty of it. Our server (can't recall her name) but absolutely amazing and informative. My friend and I didnt have the chance to have the buffet but everything on their menu we tried was amazing. I definitely recommend this place.
My partner and I went here today for the dinner buffet which was absolutely awesome! It was my first time trying Indian/Pakistani food and nearly everything I tried was amazing!! Besides dinner, they also have a small salad bar and a few dessert options as well (the rice pudding is a must!). The inside was extremely nice and simple, it wasn't crazy busy and the staff were as friendly as can be. We'll definitely be back soon!
Had lunch with my dad. First time having Indian cuisine for me. I had the Tandoori "sampler" and my dad had a pepper/yogurt chicken dish. They tailored the spice level to each of our liking. We also ordered naan and rice on the side. The ingredients were fresh, presentation was beautiful and the food was amazing. Tender, juicy meats and exciting blends of flavors and spices. I will definitely go back! The service was prompt and friendly. They have a buffet if you are not sure what to order. I am excited to go back for that.
Tried this restaurant while coming back from Niagara. Great food and even better hospitality. There is one lovely smile girl who served food for us, she was very patient and helpful. Some lady checked on us if food was good, I think she might be the owner. She was making sure customers are happy with food.
Absolutely amazing food. Been here 5-6 times now and have never been disappointed. Still the best Makhani I’ve ever tasted, Korma is very good too and everything on the tandoori dinner is stellar. I love tea and I always get the masala chai tea, it complements any dish you could get very well. If you order a sauce dish (makhani, korma, etc), ordering a side of naan (along with the rice) to dip in the leftover sauce is a must! Highly recommend the garlic naan. I brought three coworkers who have never had Indian food before, or really any food from cultures they’re not familiar with, and they all loved their meals. Good service too, my dad’s tandoori dinner was taking longer than expected because the tandoor oven takes longer to heat up (we were the first customers of the day for an early lunch), and they offered to add an entire dish on the house to apologize and compensate. He declined (and obviously still got his meal 10 minutes later), they still brought a complementary dessert after our meal (Gulab Jaman, very tasty).
I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our first-time visit to this establishment. My husband and I were instantly enthralled by our waiter, who was so suave, kind, polite, informative… he set a vibe, as did our outdoor experience, of relaxation, catering to our needs, and enjoyment! Now comes the food! One dish more delicious than the next! Every portion substantial, beyond flavourful, and just left us overall happy! Happy! Happy! I cannot wait to come again! When paying our bill, to meet the beautiful, humble, woman behind the scenes … just pure joy. Please go and enjoy a meal, and your repeat visits, over and over again!
Their lunch buffet is fantastic! Fresh made naan, variety of dishes, and a wonderful environment to relax. The makhani is some of the best I've ever had and I can't get enough of their kheer. They have several gluten free options which is perfect for our family. One of our favorite places!
My sister has been raving about this place for years! We had her birthday dinner there recently and it was a lovely time. The food was all excellent, we all shared many dishes. (Best chicken makhani I've ever had!) My only complaint is they didn't come to refill our water glasses for quite a while, I know they are busy though.
We have been dining at Kabab and Curry for 8+ years and we love the food every time. The flavors are always on point and the ingredients are always fresh. We took our love to a new level this weekend and asked them to cater a birthday party for 25 people. We arranged the menu a week in advance with the restaurant and they delivered all of the items piping hot to our house and right on time. Highest recommendation for dining out in Clarence and also highest recommendation for catering services! Our favorite standout dishes are chicken tikka masala, veggie korma, lamb vindaloo, aloo kebab, samosas, and veggie pakoras! And an order is never complete without several stuffed garlic naan!!
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. It has such a nice ambience with a sunk in fireplace in one room and traditional saris hang on the ceiling in another. There's a wheelchair ramp for the entrance. There's seating inside and on the patio. The staff is courteous and attentive. The food is delicious! The helpings are large enough for me to enjoy leftovers the next day. I've had appetizers, main courses, and desserts and haven't been disappointed once! They used to have the best lunch buffet, although it is still not returned yet as of March 2022. If you love Indian food, this is a must stop in the 716. Highly recommend! 🙂
A beautiful restaurant with very friendly staff. They have a way of kindness that has you feeling welcome and comfortable. I wasn't sure what I would like off their menu so they helped me with food flavor descriptions and recommendations. They even brought me out a little sample of a dish I might be interested in. It was amazingly delicious and I ended up getting it. The dish was Chicken Makhani. It was a combination of subtle sweetness, creaminess, and tender marinaded chicken. Soooo unbelievably delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will most definitely be returning for more of their Chicken Makhani.
I visited on November 7th for lunch. I was a little disappointed that the buffet wasn’t available. It had just opened for service and a few parties arrived in succession. We were seated quickly and water arrived quickly. The server was really hustling between all of the tables. The gentleman that took our order was very patient with us and gave us excellent recommendations. They offer food made at a range of spice levels, from none at all to very spicy. I like my food with a little kick so I asked for mild and it was perfect. My companion had medium which I had a bite of. You can tell the difference between the spice levels so be sure to order accordingly. The food was excellent and they were doing everything possible to ensure guest’s comfort. I would definitely go back.
We were greeted at the hostess station and told to choose our own table. We chose a table by the window. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. We ordered the buffet. There was a good selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. The food was hot and very flavorful. There was also a salad bar. I can't comment on the salad bar because I didn't eat any salad. There were 3 different beverages to choose from included in the buffet. I enjoyed the Chai Masala tea a lot. This was my first visit to Kabob and Curry but it will not be my last. Also, the restroom was clean! Bonus!
There is a buffet offering early in the week. The food is fresh and refilled when needed. Great Indian cuisine, the quality matches the best of them. Chai tea is included with dinner as is a dessert selection.
Hosting a very nice Indian buffet certain nights of the week, it's a nice way to try different dishes that are new to me. During COVID this business fed our community a meal free of charge, they even offered free delivery to those that needed a meal, I will be a forever customer because of the delicious food and the community involvement of this establishment.
First time here..what a wonderful experience! Starting from the beautiful decor, very clean and staff very kind, friendly and professional. Ronnie and Punjeet were so great! The menu is extensive. We had three different items and wow! I’m a foodie and I was thrilled! Food was fantastic! The flavor and spices were blended perfectly! I will go back as much as I’m in Buffalo! Great job Kabab and Curry!!
Had a really great time with my friends today. We went for lunch buffet and we're delighted by their menu. Plenty of choices for non veg and loved their starters. Fish pakodas and chicken tandoori were delicious, had plenty of options for salads too. My vegetarian friends were little disappointed in vegetarian options though. Service here was fast and excellent. Overall would recommend it to try.
Our favorite Indian restaurant in the Buffalo area. Everything is cooked fresh to order, so expect a bit of a wait until your food comes out. (But it's totally worth it.) There isn't anything that we've tried that we don't like. The palak paneer, Dahl mahkni, vegetable korma, and bhindi masala are our favorites. So tasty and filling!
Attentive service, very good traditional Indian buffet. I'm no expert on Indian food, but man it was good. Vegitarian and vegan labled dishes on the buffet. Fish, also potato fritters in a chickpea batter. Goat and Tandoori chicken. Rice pudding and honey soaked cake and a.sald bar. Great sauces. Clean, nice atmosphere. A little warm inside. Dinning on the deck. Banquet room. Full bar.
Beautiful place! Lovely Ramadan decorations. Accessible, even has multiple ramps! Flat floors. One can likely see the buffet from chair height, though maybe not read the labels on the sneeze guard. If that's the worst I've got to say, I'm very pleased. I could see myself holding a special event here. The food was outstanding, comforting, with both veggie and meat dishes. There's a cooler filled with piping hot, fresh chai as well, yum! Staff came around routinely to clear plates and keep water glasses full. This is maybe a small thing, but my glass was full and the water temperature was perfectly cool without being icy. The staff are friendly, fun, and respectful communicators. There's lots of chatter during the lunch rush, so if you lip read, consider asking to be seated away from others. There wasn't any music, but if there had been, communication would have been very difficult. Papadom and naan were on point! Salad and fruits fresh! Prices quite appropriate. Whomever the owner is, I'm happy they've been able to create such a charming and welcoming spot that adds much-needed diversity to WNY. In fact, I had such a nice time that I completely forgot to take pictures, so just go and see for yourself!
Great vegan buffet options! Update 1/30/26:. Same great food at a new location inside Spices of India!
Was not expecting very much from a buffet, but the food was very good! Not the widest variety, but everything I tried tasted fantastic. Will definitely come back again.
It is absolutely insane how AMAZING this restaurant is. Can’t recommend it enough. It’s been a long time since I was this excited to give a 5 star review. Went for the buffet that they have mon-wed and it’s just amazing food. They serve you fresh bread made on the spot. Everything in general was amazing, mostly the Chicken Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala and the bread. Just enough spices, which helps not overwhelm you with the strong flavors. Also the service is great, the lady working on Tuesday noon is super nice.
One of top 3 indian restaurants that I’ve visited. Very delicious chicken curry. True shahi paneer with original taste, the one that we find in north India. I’m from Brampton & almost visited every indian restaurant. This shahi paneer is definitely no.1 I’ve ever tasted. Chicken curry touched my soul. Quantity is sufficient too. Easily 4 people can eat with their standard size dish. Garlic naan was ok not great as compared to other garlic naan that I’ve tried, but no complaints. Server was polite fast, kind & helpful boy. Amazing customer service which is little hard to find at Indian restaurants. Shahi Paneer 10/10 Chicken Curry 9.5/10
The best Indian in Buffalo. We don’t live close but it’s well worth the drive out every time. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Service is always prompt and friendly. The butter chicken is out of this world. Creamy, rich, and very flavorful. The biryani is flavorful and packs a punch of heat. Again, by far my favorite spot for Indian. Overall would highly recommend. 4.8/5 -BJ
Love this Indian restaurant!! Their food was absolutely delicious, the staff was super nice and friendly, the restaurant was clean. I tried their vegetable Curry and it was so delicious! Definitely spicy but so worth it. This restaurant will be a place my partner and I will go to often.
If your are in buffalo , this is a good place to go for Pakistani food. They have a nice lunch buffet and a special Wednesday night buffet. Chicken biryani is really good but hats off to their masala chai. ( just please serve it more hot rather then warm ) . Seating is very cozy. Staff is friendly and helpful
Fantastic. Amazing. Delicious. The best Indian food around. We cannot wait to come back for another meal. The owners are wonderful and attentive. The food is fresh and flavorful. We came on a Saturday afternoon and ordered more than we could handle. There is a buffet for those that want to try it all. If you sign up for the newsletter, you will get coupons!
We went early on memorial day holiday, so it was not that busy. The owner was super friendly and always looking to make us comfortable, which we really liked. We opted for lunch buffet. There were around 10-12 dishes along with salad bar. You can use the salad bar to make your own version of Indian chaat. The food was really good and tasty. The veg food was more delicious than the non veg ones. I really liked the buffet although I think they could have made the non-veg dishes a little better. But, the veg items really compensated this little shortcoming. I really recommend this restaurant for Indian food lovers.
Dining in experience is excellent here. Customer service and food are some of the best Indian food in the Buffalo area. The reason this is a four star review is the takeout experience is the complete opposite. I have had four consecutive takeout orders be 10+ minutes late (and I’ve called an hour ahead of time on each one). I recommend if you want to eat here, go for the dine in experience, don’t order takeout.
Food was amazing as always. The service was subpar at best. Waited over 30 min for drinks. All but one of our party got their food. The server never came over. Had to grab another server but no result. Finally the server appeared bringing other patrons food. We called her over. Food finally was brought. The cherry on top was that when we asked for check, she handed us the mobile pay system and walked away. Puts restaurant at risk of not getting paid as after we figured out how to use the system, we left the unit on the table. Understandable that the restaurant also had a big party, but that doesn't excuse the poor service.
Extremely friendly and great customer service. My friend and I were here for the buffet and checked in on multiple times to see if we needed anything or if everything is alright. My friend was a little warm from outside and they offered to turn ac down more. The food was okay, not bad, but not the highest quality (but we did have buffet food, so I expected food quality to be a little lower, as usual with any buffet) That's the only thing preventing the 5 star rating. However, would definitely recommend this place for the buffet nonetheless!
Food was great and the employees were polite. We went for the buffet so not much to comment there other than it was very clean. It might be helpful for some if they had English translations or descriptions of some of the dishes. For some reason they were playing 2000s pop music somewhat loudly and ruined the "vibe", visually it is a nice sit down restaurant and it's decorated beautifully but the music really threw it off. It seemed like there might not have been a manager there, it really seemed like kids had been left without parents the way not one of the 4 front of the house staff seemed to notice how loud the music actually was.
1st time eating Indian food. Was good but some of it was cold. 1 bin was all sauce and no chicken in the buffet. Was a pretty good experience and would go again.
Excellent spot in Williamsville to have Indian cuisine. The menu is a bit small, but that is OK because the food makes up for it. My only concern is they should have a bigger portions for the price that you were paying but other than that, the food tastes delicious enough to remain at that price. Plating is excellent and appeals to the senses.
Good food. Place could have been a little cleaner but not gross or anything. Food was not hot (spicy) at all but the flavors were great. I'm used to samosa's being crazy hot so was a little disappointed but not way. Service was friendly, genuine, and good but our server disappeared halfway into the meal and someone else finished with us. Not sure what that was about. I got the Manhatten made with tamarind chutney (forgot the name). I had him make it with bourbon instead of the Kettle One Vodka. That was really unusual and very sweet. Overall, worth the money.
This has been my family's favorite Indian restaurant for many years. The food has always been outstanding. Unfortunately, however, since the restaurant changed hands a few years ago we've noticed both the food and service have both declined. Our favorite dish Chicken Makhani no longer tastes at all like it once did..
Used the app from their website to order takeout. Inexplicably, there is no option to choose the spice level of the selected dishes. We included our desired spice levels in the special requests section. All our meals were prepared with zero spice. I've yet to get take out here without some sort of issue.
I was visiting from Boston and chose this place for a Saturday lunch. The food was really great and very delicious. I was left disappointed by the poor service and hospitality quality. During our lunch we weren’t approached even ONCE to see if we needed something and we did need something. At one time we were literally ignored by one of the female staffers as she went about serving all the tables around us. I think people should consider this aspect of the place too besides good food.
This easily could have been a five star review but unfortunately the manager there was extremely rude to us. He accused my girlfriend who turned 21 This year of having a fake ID because she still has a vertical under 21 ID from MA. I am aware that NY also has vertical under 21 IDs, so he should have been aware that they do exist. He told her that he "knows a fake ID when he sees one" which obviously he doesn't because she did have a valid MA ID. To make the whole situation even more ridiculous they had already served her a drink at this point without IDing her and she didn't like it and sent it back. It was only at that point after they already served her alcohol that they decided to ID. We even had her brother with us who was under 21 and he didn't even attempt to order alcohol because we aren't those kind of people. They did offer us a 10 percent discount in the end however my girlfriend had completely lost her appetite after being yelled at so she only was able to eat a few bited before this entire situation happened. I wish I could have left a 5 star because otherwise the food was absolutely delicious and honestly this place is an amazing value for money. Please retrain your staff on what a valid ID looks like. This whole situation could have easily been avoided if they knew that vertical IDs do exist.
It's one of those typical places where you can find itty bitty touches of Indian atmosphere but at the core its Americanized Indian food. Items that I had 1. Chicken Tava - 5/10 2. Naan - 8/10 3. Roti - 3/10 4. Biryani - 8/10 I loved the Biryani but the Chicken Tava can be more worked on, quite different that the one we are used to. Staff is helpful and hotel has a nice location.
Seems like the quality of the food and service declined over the last several months. The menus have prices marked with the pen. They don’t present you the itemized check, just bringing out the credit card terminal. The service is very slow and inattentive. Food tastes alright, but used to be much better.
Not the best experience. Let's start with drinks first..expired Corona and habanero margarita just awful Appetizers got the eggplant very flavorful but mostly onion and barely any eggplant. Entrees chicken vindaloo.boring..very bland..not spicy and asked for medium. Chicken very tough..potatoes barely done..chicken korma..not a fan..to me gross but my friend thought it was good. Probably ate at 50 different places in my 53 years because I love Indian but good god definitely not good. Service awful ..manager/owner so apologetic, accommodating. Definitely will not be back. India star, Ruching, India gate and Tandoori hut will continue to be my go places in this area.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and it has declined greatly since it changed owners a few years back. I keep giving chances, because I want to think it's just an off night when I have a bad experience. However, the only consistency experienced is poor service and diminished food quality. I was one of 2 tables. I waited 10 minutes before anyone came over. Food came in decent time, but my medium makhani was so spicy I couldn't really eat it--and I enjoy a kick of flavor. The chicken tasted chewy, like it was old or frozen. I needed a refill on my water but nobody came to check on me. When it was obvious I was done, the server finally came over. I told him the makhani was overly spicy and he started arguing with me. Seriously? I wasn't even trying to complain, but figured the cook should know the spice level was off. It's such a shame what has happened to this place. They are not the only game in town anymore, so I will sadly be going elsewhere.
I’m not sure what happened. The restaurant was really off tonight. We are regulars, order from there at least once every two weeks. Dine in every couple of weeks also. I have easily gone there 50 times in the last year. Tonight, it was off. We were seated without placemats or menus, the waitress acted like we had seated ourselves. The staff was not happy, and, at points, downright rude. The food lacked the sauces that we love. When I asked for some extra sauce, I was told yes, and then it was never brought, even after asking twice. The takeout container we were given had been previously used. Just an overall disappointing experience tonight. We weren’t the only ones, every other customer that we encountered there tonight was displeased. There were numerous people standing in the entranceway complaining. It’s very disappointing because it was our go to place for Indian food for the last 15 years.
So, I have to change my original good review as the quality of the service has gone down. The food is delicious. Very delicious. The only reason why I even get takeout. I've had problems before where I've called in my order and it was never put in. There were nails all over the back parking lot at one point, thankfully missed my tires. They messed up either my order or the spice level multiple times. I now check every time before I leave. Also, I never sit in and eat because I've gotten a shard of glass in my cup. Manager never came out to talk to me and waiter looked so upset when I showed him. I haven't found a better place for the food I like, so I just order takeout and check it before I leave. Always park in the front.
Food was okay. Service was horrible. Very long wait. Small portions. A dish that I got tasted like there was too much sugar in. It would not go back here ever
There are so many better options if you a looking for good Indian food. We have stopped here for the buffet before and it was always OK. Not great, not bad, just okay. Tonight my daughter and I went for dinner and I am very much regretting it. I ordered the Tandoori chicken dinner. Absolutely TERRIBLE! The chicken was beyond dry. I ordered the spice level hot. Not only was it not spicy at all, it was extremely bland. The suateed onions and peppers were undercooked and bordered raw. Beyond all of that we were one of 2 tables with people. To say the service was slow would be kind. I had to go looking for our waiter just to get a refill of the water. The waiter never came by to check on us. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant in place of the many other, considerably better options out there.
Food quality was below average. Better places exist in Buffalo. Server was amazing. Good, attentive and took care of the guests. Wish food was half as good as the staff. Biriyani lacked flavour. Buffet was not great. Dessert was okay. And ya the biriyani that we ordered was not good. Place is neat and location-wise is good. So what’s good. The servers, Lassi, Tea and Dessert. What’s not good. Everything else.
It seems that there are different owners. The food isn't as good as it used to be. The price is too high. $20 for a lunch buffet? But the worst part is the atmosphere. We were having the buffet and there was a couple with two little kids. At first they were quiet. Then they let the little girl start running around and stomping her feet back and forth right by our table. The waitress did nothing. Our meal was ruined. This isn't the first time this has happened where kids have been allowed to run wild. How about putting kids with parents in a different room so people can enjoy their meals?
Ask for an itemized bill and double check everything. Was overcharged by about 20 percent and when confronted they bring over a menu with different prices than they hand out at the table. They way they went about cheating clearly showed it was not an accident. Food was decent except the naan is listed as "stuffed naan" and is at best lightly sprinkled with onion or garlic. A once good place takes a dive, there are now better curry houses that don't disrespect their customers.
I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The quality of the food was very bad – everything tasted bland and overcooked. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to charge $3 for pickles, which is just outrageous. Overall, it was a highly unsatisfactory experience and I won't be returning.
Food was good, but they do something fishy with their check. As I normally do, I tipped 20% on my total check, but I later realized my check already had an 18-20% tip tacked on. It took me a while to realize this, and I ended up paying close to 40% in tip. Based on Google reviews, they have done this with others too. As someone else pointed out in their review, please ask for an itemized receipt before paying at this place. What they did to me was clearly stealing, and I'll never go back to this place again.
Server was wearing a very strong, unpleasant perfume and he and the other staff just kept banging this really loud kitchen door, like 10-15 times while we sat there for lunch. It startled us, interrupted our conversations several times. The food was below average, used to be really good. Ambience was below average too and most of the "clean" tables were dirty with crumbs all over. Their buffet is always really bad but today even the a la cart food was bad.
If you like extra protein from fruit flies, have the buffet. I don’t want to leave comments on a small business, but they don’t care. Food was average at best. Honestly, I’ve had frozen Indian food from Walmart, and it was way better, and no fruit flies. Bonjour
Worst restaurant I ever visit they took almost 2 hours to serve us and some dish they served 20 minutes later then others server messed up our orders and tasteless overpriced Indian food they charge you 18% tips without asking you if you’re 6 people with little kids we spend almost $200 and it’s not worth at all don’t waste your money there
Nice enough people but you’re risking your life eating food from there 😅
Every time we order take out our door dash something is missing. Then we get well its for dash you need to talk to. Now it's a pick up and still missing, and they won't make it right. No refund, no delivery of my goods that was not put in or take or bag... so what do I do. I tell people about my experiences, and give them a low star rating and continue to do so until they start making this right. I also forgot to mention after you get missing food they don't answer the phone when you're number comes up.
These guys moved from one place to another. They did not notify anyone and there is no new address posted at the old site. Very annoying. Cost me about 40 minutes extra to get to the new place, which I had gone right past due to lack of info.
Second time here and will never go back. We ordered the buffet and they were tearing it down before we got a second helping. Then they started mopping the floor with a strong chemical while we’re still eating…gross. The last straw was being told “we close at 9”. It was 8:30 and we’re not idiots. Food is fair, and since they couldn’t wait to get rid of us, we’ll go elsewhere.
They charged us a service fee cause we were 4 people. They didn't tell us about the service fee before we went and ate. We went for buffet. They said at the end that service fee is ALREADY ADDED AS A TIP which violated NEW YORK STATE Tax Law: Sections 1105(d), (e) and (f)- Regulations: Sections 527.8, 527.12 - I believe! On top of that the chicken biriyanis rice was barely cooked ( it felt like crispy and raw grains of rice when it should be soft) and the meat was as hard as a rock. Their customer service was nice that's why we didn't say anything or argue. But I must leave a review for the future customers to be fair.
One star is too high for this place. Rude staff and meh food. Ordered on-line through their website. On pick up, staff was dismissive and told me to sit as no to go orders were ready. After 30 minutes beyond the estimated time for pick up, I was told my food was not there. I had to go to Evans Street for pick up. No apology. She actually acted like it was my fault for ordering on-line instead of calling. I had already paid so went to Evans Street. It is a grocery store that looks like it is ready to put "Going Out of Business" signs up. The man was extremely rude, he wouldn't even acknowledge me and just said " we have no orders for you". Another customer who had the same situation came in and the staff tried to walk away from me, ignoring me again. I insisted he at least look for my order. In a condescending attitude he said, 'Its right there for an hour". And then the food was mediocre at best. Why have an on-line ordering from your website and not communicate to customers that they are actually ordering from a completely different location? No mention of the Spices of India as a pick up on the website or the receipt for ordering. Just an awful experience and will never go back. Judging by the staff, they probably will not care!
Food portions are too skimpy. Whether it's the appetizer or main course and even dessert. Will not be returning here due to this obvious cheapness.
WARNING ‼️ASK FOR YOUR ITEMIZED RECEIPT BEFORE PAYING. I was forced a tip. (And I would’ve tipped if everything went fine, also did tip in the end.) Server waved it off as “I accidentally charged you for another table”. Got my refund, can clearly see there’s a “tip” that I didn’t give. Also took forever to get the receipt, said she would get manager, never did. First time I paid she did not show me machine to select tip, second time she finally let me have the machine (that’s how I know it was a forced tip, if it wasn’t forced I wouldn’t have asked for a refund and gotten the voided receipt)
Used to go here for years and got take out recently again. The food has gone way downhill. The makhani tastes like someone dumped a pound of sugar in it, the hummus just tastes like pure lemon juice. This definitely isn't Indian cuisine anymore unless you've never had Indian before. The chicken is not cooked tandoor either. I'm very disappointed and will not go back.
The experience wasn’t that great. The food portion is a scam also the taste for what they charge. We were given leftovers since we went during the closing time. I would not recommend eating here. Have been to other Pakistani cuisines and they have provided excellent experience. But they are short staffed and the person who was in charge didnt have great attitude with terms of customer service. The server girls were good nothing to complain about.
Visited this place few days back. Even during the times of Covid they give zero importance to the hygiene and cleanliness. We were there for almost 2 hours and all the tables around us had dirty/used dishes and silverware and leftover food sitting there the whole time. The second issue was the chicken in chicken biryani was overcooked to the point that I could not even cut through it. And when I spoke to the management about it they kept on arguing saying it’s impossible that the chicken is overcooked.
I was told by Spices of India (a completely different restaurant) to pick up my online order here, even though I placed the order through their own website and confirmation page. Kebab & Curry is not listed anywhere as the pickup location, and I had no idea they were connected. It was a 15-minute drive in the opposite direction, and I was already late because of the mix-up. When I arrived, the host acted irritated and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering any type of apology or solution, he told me that “no one else has ever had a problem” and there was nothing he could do. When I calmly suggested they pause online ordering until the issue was fixed so other customers didn’t experience the same thing, he told me to just “take the food and leave.” He pushed the food toward me, and it was already cold. No apology, no offer of refund, no customer service at all. I understand that restaurants have staffing issues and emergencies — but communication is essential. A quick phone call, a cancelled order, or even a polite explanation would have gone a long way. Instead, both locations handled the situation poorly. Unfortunately, these two restaurants have now lost me as a customer, and I would advise future customers to call before ordering online to confirm where pickup will be and that they are actually serving food.
