Great Pie!!! But the phone didn’t work. Had to walk in and order. I hope they fix the phone.
I had a nice quiet lunch with a friend. Restaurant atmosphere was quiet with some light Christmas music playing.
The food here is so good! I used to live in Austin and, honestly, it’s been a little depressing going from a ton of great pizza options (Homeslice, Yaghi’s, Via 313, etc.) to...well, Canyon Lake. Villanova’s used to scratch the itch when they got it right, but when they didn’t—whoof. Then they closed, and I resigned myself to the price and convenience of Domino’s. I’ll be real: I knew about 46th Street long before I tried it, but the reviews and photos online didn’t exactly inspire confidence. One day I was driving by, said “screw it,” turned around, ordered a pie, and waited. Took it home—and so glad I did. Whether I'm feeling lazy, having pizza and a movie night with my partner, or hosting my mom, I find myself going back more and more. Bonus surprise: their desserts are legit! I don't know if they're made in-house or sourced fresh, but they’re good. Service is excellent. They always answer the phone, the pizza is ready when they say, and the cashiers are patient and pleasant. Abby helped me most recently—offered me extras, showed me the dessert options, and gave me a full rundown of the chocolate mousse cake (I grabbed cheesecake this time, but do yourself a favor and try the carrot cake when it’s available). Reece made our pizza this time—sometimes it’s Pablo, one of the managers, who’s always zipping around making sure everything’s running right. Pizza was still hot, fresh, and foldable when I got home. Atmosphere feels noncommittal, like if you threw a sports bar, a moody Italian pizzeria, and a NYC tourist trap in a blender. It’s fine—I’d eat in without hesitation, just not with enthusiasm. One ding: constant Fox News feed on the back wall. Not trying to catch up on the world’s problems while picking up a pie. How about no news instead?
Got pizzas before salads. Then 20 min after salads got one main dish. We were finished eating when the second main dish arrived. Had to keep reminding them of dishes we were missing. They were very apologetic but the service was poor.
No other place for pizza in Spring Branch if you ask me. They need to make a rewards program just for my family. We recently tried the sandwiches and OMLord they are excellent. Now we don’t know which one to get. But really soooo good each and every time we go. Can not go wrong, try everything!! Dessert! Oh yeah don’t leave with out it. No regrets!
Stopped in for a late lunch with kids. Service was very good. Pizza was good as well. It is nice to get some recommendations the first time you eat somewhere. I would recommend the garlic bread and the large pepperoni. Which disappear, crust and all. Which say that the crust was very good. We will be back next time we are in the area.
I thought I would try this pizzeria. The reviews are all over the place. I ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pie, also a Calzone. I was pleasantly surprised that the calzone had deli sliced ham. Calzone was very good. The pizza was good, but a little greasy. The service could use a little coaching on customer service. Not a deal breaker. Enjoy!
We are "good pizza" lovers. Too many places claim they make good pies and they are terrible. So we read the google reviews and gave it a try. Place needs a bit of modeling as it's missing charm, but again we came for the Pizzas. Let's cut it short... We will be back soon. We loved it. Good amount of ingredients, quite fresh, great tasting cheese and the dough was perfect. (Which makes the most important part of a pizza). So yes, it's delicious!!! Also it's self serving as far as drinks and silverware, so don't go if you expect waitstaff. Thank you 46th St. - (a former NYker)
Regular pizza is ok… just dont order a margherita pizza…we did and it was awful…they have zero idea how to make one properly.
46th Street New York Pizzeria is a fine pizza restaurant. It’s not bad but it’s not amazing either. The appetizers are a miss but the pizza is good. The restaurant itself is clean and has a New York theme (surprise). It was nice and clean and the menu is sure to satisfy almost everyone. The staff was nice although we didn’t really engage with them other than to place our order and ask for a box. We had the mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings as starters and both weren’t great. The mozzarella sticks are more like rectangles and are too large for our taste. The buffalo wings come in three standard flavors; mild, medium, and hot. The problem (that we find out after ordering) is that mild means no sauce (just fried chicken wings) and hot actually is the same as medium (when we asked we were told they only have on type of sauce). The pizza made up for the appetizers. We ordered the 46th Street Special and the Meat Lovers pizzas. The toppings were generous and the crust was thin and crispy. The large is a 16” pizza and is more than enough for a family of 4, especially if you order appetizers as well. The price for the pizzas ($21 for a large) is the only complaint. When compared to other pizza restaurants in the area it’s hard to justify the difference in price, especially since they don’t have any specials. Again, we thought the restaurant was good and the staff was fine. The appetizers weren’t worth it but the pizza was good despite being fairly expensive.
This location is on the downturn. Used to be the most reliable, speedy, well made pizza option in Bulverde/Spring branch area. Not any more. Not the same folks working here as I have seen in the past. In last few months, multiple orders that I paid for were “lost”, requiring me to sit in the restaurant for another 15-20 minutes to wait for a pizza they said would be ready for pickup in “35-45 minutes”. One recent order was not even started when I showed up at the recommended 45-minutes mark. Took another 20-mins for that one. They’re also running the oven hotter and bottom of multiple crusts have been cooked to a point of being crispy. On multiple occasions I was offered free pizzas, however they won’t offer a refund. Disappointing - hope they turn around soon or I will be driving an extra 20minutes to Mattenga’s or Inferno’s where I have always gotten pizzas on time and cooked correctly.
The cook making my pizza was scrolling on his phone, while handling my pizza dough. I kindly approached him and asked him to wash his hands. And remake my pizza. Please all food handler should practice good hand hygiene
My family and I visited this restaurant, but unfortunately, we did not feel welcomed upon arrival. Although the restaurant was empty, neither the host nor the staff acknowledged us, even after we greeted them. We ultimately decided to leave due to the lack of engagement. A warm welcome goes a long way in creating a positive dining experience, and I hope the restaurant considers improving in this area.
Just a horrible experience all the way around...if I could give 0 ⭐I would. When my husband called in the order, they were rude but whatever.🤷🏼♀️$27.00 for this burnt to all that is holy SMALL Cheese🧀Pizza, burned to hell on top & bottom...couldn't even eat the crust that I love. Also, got two Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches but once I cut mine in half had it like three little chicken parmesan bites on that half. I can think of better places with better service & food that I'd rather spend $50 at. Will never go back ever.
