Me and my gf stopped by Ike’s the other day, on our way back from a fair in Burbank. She got the spiffy tiffy (avocado, halal chicken and mushrooms) and I ordered the Hugh Hefner which comes with roast beef N turkey. We each got the free chips with Yelp check-in too, voodoo chips which are oh so spicy and delicious. The food was amazing! And for what it’s worth, while each sandwich is $9 - $10 each made two meals for each of us, with ingredients that blow Subway outta the water!
Love their sandwiches. Bread is amazing.
Great sandwich shop!! Tried Ike's today for the first time. Had the Hugh Hefner on the Dutch Crunch bread. It was amazing!! One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The Burbank location is on the small side and they are popular, so there can sometimes be a wait. They have a large menu with plenty of choices including a bunch of veggie options and even Halal. I will definitely be eating there again.
What made it more convenient was the ability to order ahead but unfortunately parking is horrible so if you're seeking to pick up an order while already on the go, this is not the place. However, if you're walking around the area, grab yourself a sandwich from Ikes. I don't think I've ever had the same sandwich twice and they are all so juicy and savory. 🤤🤤🤤 These are the sandwiches that can get a little messy but after finishing your sandwich, scraping off any fallen ingredients from your plate tastes like heaven. @angelepatino
Ike, you make a damn good sandwich. The Dutch Crunch bread is amazing by itself, but added with all the different meats and sauces send me into full gluttony. No regrets! By no means am I a vegetarian (I love BBQ), but I tried the Handsome Owl sandwich and it tasted just like chicken. Definitely my favorite sandwich when I pretend to be a vegetarian.
Gosh dang these are good sandwiches!! I'm not usually a fan of vegan cooking but as a strong meat eater these were so freaking good! Can't wait to come back and try a regular sandwich. (Tried the pirates of the Caribbean vegan sandwich on French bread, you should try it too!!!)
Endless choices but my favorite is the Menage a Trois. I'm all about that bread. Sweet, soft, with a good crunch on the outside. The subs are always stacked with fresh meat and crisp veggies. Half a sub is enough to fill me up. This was the first sandwich shop in LA I fell in love with.
Pretty Awesome sandwiches and even more Awesome people working here! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help picking the right sandwich. Their location is one of the hardest markets for small restaurants to survive but I hope they do and thrive because Who doesn’t love a good old Sandwich.
My latest obsession as a vegetarian living in the wider Burbank area. Tons of delicious meat-free options alongside all the regular sandwich shop fodder. Falling for Ike’s on the Dutch Crunch is my favorite.
I've never left a review for any place- EVER- but the "Sometimes I'm Vegetarian" with red onion and extra dirty sauce should run for president. I would provide for her. Pay her rent, buy her bags, wash her feet. The best sandwich my bestie and I ever had.
This restaurant has been added to the regular rotation for staff lunches - a total hit with everyone. They have great customer service, called me up to make sure the available choices were acceptable and happily accommodated me. I ordered the Matt Cain today with veggies plus avocado and jalapenos. I will order this again and again. WOW so good. Definitely, give this place a shot!! :)
Always great sandwiches! I got the Bruce Wayne with a side of fried zucchini. The sandwich had plenty of beef on it and just the right amount of sauce; no dry spots, but not dripping all over the place either. The zucchini was perfectly fried, just crispy, not over done, and not soggy inside. Great job!
Never been here before. Decided to try the Matt Cain. It was delicious. I can see why it is one of their top 3. Second visit 1/6/26: Had the Beast Mode. Fried chicken, bacon, spicy beast mode BBQ sauce, cheddar, and lettuce. Another hit! Keeping up guys.
$16-$17 per sandwich but tasted amazing. The house bread "Dutch crunch" is really good but can be super crunchy.
Hot damn does this place completely live up to its hype! The moment I walked in, I was inundated with incredible smells, and I instantly knew I'd made the right choice. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time, and as a sandwich afficianado that says a lot. The Dutch crunch bread is incredible & I love the large unique menu. A ton of vegetarian/vegan options as well, and so many more choices than the run of the mill salad on bread with condiments most other sandwich shops offer vegetarians.
The customer service was super & so were the sandwiches. Me & my bestie are both vegan & it was her first time at a Ike's so I'm happy this location did not disappoint. The cashier & worker named Isaac or Isaiah I believe was very very sweet & even gave us free chips. Overall I give this location a A+
Just stopped in for lunch while in Burbank and had one of the BEST sandwiches I can remember! The bread is amazing, the menu is extensive (even for vegetarians like myself), and the service is great. I love hot sandwiches, and there are rarely veggie options at most chains, so this place blew my mind. Everyone was friendly, the restaurant was clean and centrally located, and the staff was having a good time. Highly recommend, will return soon!
One of the best sandwich shops I've been to, hands down. Their selection of produce is amazing, and the chips/drinks/desserts are all great quality. Whoever calls the shots (I'd like to think the real Ike) made choices based off good taste rather than how they could make more, and it is obvious. The atmosphere inside is nice and comfortable, with cute vintage lunchboxes adorning the walls. My sandwich was perfect, and I went with something pretty basic. (Turkey, Avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo on wheat) with a side of their house habenero hot sauce. Next time I'll try one of their more signature sandwiches! My iced tea was organic (for those who that matters to) I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a quick bite, and really wish there was a location closer to where I live! Nothing but good words from me, keep up the amazing work!
Whenever we are near an Ike’s, it’s always a must stop. Who else has so many vegan options!? NO ONE! And thats why this place is easily my fav most accessible sandwich spot. Endless possibilities of vegan combinations to create your own or just pick something off the menu that can be made vegan. The carrot symbol means they can fully veganize it. Their fountain drink and chips options are great. Snag a parking on the street or park at multilevel open lot up the block. We always take one for later with the sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy. I got the meatless and the time traveler, both were DANKY! Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer
Can to Ike's to grab a quick bit to eat and loved the sandwiches there. There was plenty of options to choose from. Will definitely go there again to try some of the other sandwiches they have. Wasn't that cheap but worth every bite.
Got the ménage a trois on Dutch bread and a vegan chicken sandwich w orange glaze on sourdough. I can see why this chain out of the Bay is so popular. Friendly workers. I had a bunch of questions because their menu and options are so vast.
A wonderful surprise. I've passed by this shop dozens of time and the massive menu almost discouraged me, as if they weren't certain what they do well enough to trim it down. After trying them though,I get it. In an area that lacks any strong competition, Ike's comes in to blow the idea of other sandwich shops away before they can take root by serving delicious, filling, and wildly flavorful subs. I look forward to seeing what other delicious options there are buried I'm that menu
2019.02-20/1300: I'm now a new customer of Ike's after what I experienced today. The crew that was working should be commended for the service I received today. I was invited to this spot by my coworkers. Usually everywhere I go, there is alterative food I can choose from but this one takes the cake for a sandwich place having GLUTEN-FREE options on their menu. I was so ecstatic about that, that I forgot to mention my tomato allergy as well during my order. 😣 Please commend the staff, please! This place is obviously popular during lunch hours and they handled it well. The dining room only houses four 4-top tables and four 2-top tables (maybe) - something like that. So it's not too big and you may have to get your order "to-go". I was really happy with the service and wonderful lady who took care of my special order. I was also asked whether my gluten-free option was a preference or allergy - AWESOME! The pretty lady that handled my sandwich had black, short hair and a cute tattoo going down her right arm. She was extremely courteous and ALWAYS had a wonderful attitude and a SMILE on her face. On top of that, I didn't know that the sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato and I'm highly allergic to tomatoes, too. Even just having the juice of the tomato anywhere on my sandwich would kill me. I didn't want to be a pain and was going to take it home to my husband but then my friend was nice enough to take my sandwich back and have it remade. They were so nice to do that so this is why I am writing this review. Someone needs to know that they care. I felt the love from Ike's so definitely stop in for a tasty sandwich and meet the wonderful staff here. By the way, your gluten-free bread rocks! I thought I was doomed for life! Thank you so much and I'll be seeing Ike's again but this time I'm bringing my husband!

great sandwiches...famous for a reason. my friend dave introduced ike's to me and it was definitely a memorable sandwich. they are known for their dutch crunch bread so get that if you dig a crunchy crust and a soft inner part of the roll. i got the barry bonds, which is their closest thing to a club sandwich. sandwich with chips and mountain drink was just under $20 which is on the pricier side, but the sandwich was tasty and fresh. will be back to try the lake forest location which is closer to where i live in irvine.
This was delicious! My daughters both have to eat gluten free and they make it separately which is always a plus. We all loved it!
Very happy to have randomly found this sandwich shop. The sandwich selection is huge and ranges from carnivore to vegan. Whatever your tastes or dietary restrictions are they got it covered. We had a party of 5 when we stopped in so ordered a good variety of sandwiches, including both vegan and meat options, everyone was happy with their selection. Staff was also very nice.
This has to be the best sandwich joint that I've been to in a long time and it offers all variety of dietary preferences: carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, halal, etc. The menu is extensive and if you want an item that is no longer listed, you usually can still order it. The Dutch crunch bread is AMAZING!

Good place to try quite a few different types of sandwiches. Halal chicken is used on most you get. Liked the Dutch crunch and the sizes are decent as well. The service is very friendly and the place was very clean and it's on the main street. Parking can be a real pain in the area as your near the mall downtown. Check in with Yelp and get free chips . Price was $12 for sandwich and soda.
Ike’s is fabulous! Their bread is legendary and their sandwiches are always great (also you can get mozzarella sticks on your sandwich?! What!!!) the only reason why this is a 4 star review instead of a 5 star is that the tomatoes have been hit or miss whenever I come here... half the time they’re mealy. The staff is consistently really friendly and helpful and you can tell they get along with each other. It looks like they have a lot of fun at work which is cool!
I absolutely love their sandwiches and the flavor is out of this world, but... ... verify they have your order correctly before you finish the transaction. In the past three years, I think I've had one order out of many that didn't have something incorrect somewhere. It's a shame they're so consistent on this failing, because in every other respect they're five-star.
I imagine if we had eaten in instead of takeout, the food rating would have been a 5, only because we got the dutch crunch bread option (we specifically came here for that) and it lost its crunch by the time we got home - I'm laying the blame on us; just be aware if you go for the Dutch Crunch, you'll want to eat it right then. Otherwise, the sandwich was very tasty, and they have some great sounding combinations here.
Had my first time at Ikes and it was not what I was hoping. I got the Beast Mode sandwich/sub the chicken was a really weird texture. I almost wonder if they accidentally put the vegan chicken in it. Id maybe try their stuff again in the future but it sadly didn’t hit the mark for me.

Placed a order over the phone and went well paid over the phone as well got there an got my order when I started taking everything out to eat I noticed I had very little fries left as if somebody was eating my fries. Great battered fries but bad portion sizes. Look at photos for yourself
Loved the sandwich (Robin Williams) halal chicken, mushroom and cheese with Italian dressing. Good service as well. I wish they would allow people to use the bathroom again. They were closed to the public perhaps due to COVID 19. I really wanted to wash my hands for my own personal safety. Its hard to go restaurant that don't give you access to their restrooms. Please let me know so I change my review to five stars that it deserves.
I finally made it in to try a sandwich, but felt that the size and cost were not equal. My sister and I both ordered vegan versions of their sandwiches, (the Handsome Owl, and James and the Giant Peach) and I gotta say it was a decent taste, but too small! I appreciate the vegan options, but it just felt like a lot of money for what it was.
Very underwhelming. The flavors are decent, a bit sweet for my taste. The signature steak sandwich was all bread and sauce, maybe 4 oz of diced steak bits that had very little flavor in itself. My son had a sandwich w fried chicken called the beast I think. Ok, better meat portion but low quality chicken nugget-strip type things and a bunch of sweet sauce again. Def will not go back, much better sandwiches in walking distance at wild carvery.
To preface my 3-star review, I want to say the food tasted great, and we will absolutely give this place another shot. However, the store lost our order, made our sandwiches, and the replacement sandwiches were both missing lettuce and tomato, despite both of us requesting the sandwiches be made "as is" which included lettuce and tomatoes. I'm happy to talk about the good first. My wife and I ordered the Hungry Owl and Pilgrim, respectively. We both agree the sandwiches tasted great. I cannot speak for the Hungry Owl, but the cranberry sauce they used for the Pilgrim was tart and sweet. I've had their vegan turkey on my own, and it is a good substitute. The sourdough was impeccable. Soft and crunchy. My wife suffers from Celiac disease, and so she has to put up with terrible gluten-free breads all the time. She says their gluten-free bread was delicious. We will 100% try this place again. That said, we placed our order on their website and were told the sandwiches would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, the sandwiches weren't ready. When I asked about our food, they spent maybe 5-10 minutes trying to find out what happened. In the poor woman's defense, she was juggling my problem, another guy's messed up order, and ringing up customers. (Note: she gave the customer a free sub coupon, and the other customers didn't complaint so I imagine they were satisfied.) When she discovered our order was lost, she resubmitted the order and had them made. I was given two coupons for free sandwiches as a gracious apology. When I arrived home with our food, my wife and I discovered neither of the sandwiches had lettuce or tomato. I know mine was vegan however because we had previously purchased the same vegan turkey from the store, so no worries there. Otherwise, the sandwiches tasted great. I am not holding it against the woman who helped me (who I imagine was a manager). She did her best despite being flustered. She was a one-woman show and did amazing. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. Thank you, kind lady. TL;DR: Food was bomb and the staff were exceptional, but they lost our order and messed up the replacement although they did provide two "free sub" coupons before I left. Their gluten-free bread is delicious.
It was good, the french frys were good but expensive 5.00 for a small bag. The sandwiches are on the high side also. Average price for one is 12 on up and that does not include drink and chips. So I did 3 star cause of price. But I think everything in burbank is high.
I have been wanting to try this place for a long. Ordered the Madison Bumgarner and it was okay. Skimpy on the meat. Also tried the fried Chicken sandwich and the Reuben. Both were just okay too. I want to try Ike's again and maybe get the BLT. I heard that was good.

It was my first time at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were really excited to try the food. Especially after seeing the positive reviews and yummy photos. However, our experience was underwhelming. We ordered to eat at the restaurant and after waiting for 45 minutes we inquired about our sandwiches. It turned out that they had been sitting on the counter. The food was cold by the time we had asked. There was no receipt attached to paper bags. So they couldn’t find our sandwiches until we told them exactly what we ordered. The sandwiches were okay even though they were cold. Pretty disappointing. I’m sure it would have been amazing we would have gotten our food on time.
We ordered one sub off the vegetarian menu. It had fried “chikin” but once we opened it up we saw they only put like 2 pieces of the chikin inside. So we ate mostly bread and sauce and soggy lettuce. The bread was soggy as well. We were too hungry to complain but overall would never come again. Northridge location makes them with love, don’t waste your time and money here.
Its takes while untill they made my order the food is good but service is annoying i was waiting 30 min to get my food ..only 2 employees they dont even want to take order because they were crazy busy i dont know what owners thinking about this they dont want hire more people
