Opinions de Joe & The Juice Burlingame
I really like this spot to do some work while sipping on a cuppa or having a healthy juice. It’s spacious with great seating options, and definitely beats the usual Starbucks humdrum. They serve up decent food too, and I had an avocado toast. It was a small portion but very good. Located in a nice place along Burlingame Ave, this is a great coffee spot!
Great place and service. Able to sit and work and have coffee! Doors open for airflow, wifi, even though I’m vaccinated couldn’t find a place along the street to sit inside on a cool day and work a few hours. Glad I came in. People are nice, coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwich too. Will come here first next time.
The place is so nice! Very spacious, very clean and great vide! Plenty of places to sit. The staff were so kind. I don’t think it deserves the 1 star review many have posted. I would 100% come again. The staff may be young/less experienced, but I think they deserve a chance to work, learn and grow. I felt it is very impressive how hard working these young people are. AND I felt they were great to begin with, and good job! 👏🏼
First time experiencing Joe’s and loved it. Thank you Ala and Malek for the amazing food recs and delicious sandwiches! Will def be back. 🤍
I love this place! Whether I'm in the mood for juice or coffee I have never been disappointed! The atmosphere is set right for a chill vibe where you can work or hangout with friends. Go check out Joe and the Juice anywhere!
Avo and nutty shake is a must try. It may be a tad bit costly than the other chains but quality exceeds the price concerns.
Really nice place to work! Great juices and coffee. Sandwich options available. Free wifi, and plenty of natural light!
Great snack. Shared a chickpea sandwich and an avocado shake. Both are fantastic.

They really don't deserve all these bad reviews! I had an amazing experience earlier this Friday. It was a little slow, but there was just enough staff to get my order going. I didn't ask for their names, but I did overhear some. Isabella, Steven, and Diana (One more girl that I forgot the name of) were great. My sandwich was just perfect, crispy and delicious. Although I understand some people don't like the idea of teens running a cafe, I think they're not looking past the hard work they all do here. The cafe was nice and clean, and trendy music playing (Nothing like the harsh reviews talking about songs with profanity). This is an amazing spot, and the staff have been amazing!! Very large eating area, and all around good vibes too. Give Joe a chance :)

Great place to hang out and get work done. The only reason I don't rate 5 star is because every time I come in an order a large coffee I get told "its called pink". I don't really care about colors though, I just want a large coffee.
Solid cafe/coffee shop/juice bar in the heart of Burlingame Ave. Great selection of juice blends and varieties! They make a solid cup of coffee and serve a hot breakfast! Great atmosphere (very fitting for the likes of Burlingame Ave) while still laid back and approachable. First encountered Joe and the Juice in LA, nice to see they’ve expanded to San Francisco and Burlingame!
The interior is cute, i wish they had real plants instead of fake ones. Coffee is good and there's a nice selection of food. Perfect if you need to work (the music is loud) but there are outlets everywhere! The peninsula needs more of this!
A very nice interior. Love this shop. It is a nice place to have coffee or juice. It is also a good place to hang out with friends. The coffee is nice. I ordered latte and love it is still hot after a while. It is not that strong. I heard the sandwich and juice.are yummy. We will try next time.
Really great place to hang out and grab a cup of coffee large comfy Cafe but the avocado toast was a little bit small for the price.

I just to love coming to this Joe & The Juice location, but after today- I’m most likely not coming back. For a very slow day and having three people behind bar, the store was a mess. Dust on the window ledges as if they’ve never been cleaned. Floor extremely dirty. Tables look like they haven’t been sanitized. On top of the uncleanliness, the employees had this, “I don’t care attitude” / vibe to them.
Before my first visit, I had looked at their online menu. When I ordered, they were out of both my choices-the Avocado/Chickpea sandwich & the “Perfect Balance” juice. The order-taker seemed more amused by this than sorry. I ended up with a “Tunacado” (agree with one of the comments that the pesto was so meager as to be undetectable), and a “C-Shot Sweet” to drink. The bread in the sandwich was crunchy and interesting, just this side of a cracker, but overall the sandwich needed some herbs and seasoning. The drink was heavy on the red pepper, but okay. The staff to me could be a bit more congenial and human and less “too cool for school”. I read some complaints that the music is too loud. In my visit, the music was at a very reasonable level. The interior is very nice-comfortable chairs, modern decor-and good for doing work.
This is a very hipster place with mediocre coffee. Drinks are served in the order they are received, and since the juices take a while to make, getting a coffee can take around 15 minutes. The space has plenty of seating inside and out, so it is definitely a place to take time and relax. If you want good coffee and at a good speed, go around the corner to Philz instead.
The cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere that makes this a great place to have a conversation, find some time to focus and work or just enjoy the food and drinks. What really brings this down is there's a constant fly problem (every time you walk around you need to go through a swarm of flies; get some traps already) and it's freezing in there (close the doors when it's below 65 and try turning on some heat)!
Seems to be nice but I did not stay. Came in for some coffee but the music was just too annoying. Friday afternoon around 3:30 the place was almost empty. Across the corner Philz Coffee is much smaller and not as fancy but was full with a line. Guess why? I hope they turn off that music for good then I will come in for some coffee or juice.
Not bad, not spectacular. The latte was pretty weak and milky. Good juice and decent breakfast. The location can't be beat. Good place to hang and do some work. The music gets loud so conversation is also not easy.
Really loved the calm, spacious atmosphere and service was chill and friendly. I would def recommend if you need a place to get some work done or have a conversation. The menu items themselves are pretty lackluster IMO. I had something like a black tea with milk and an açaí bowl. Neither were enjoyable or things I would get again, and I'm not really picky with cafe items. The smoothies range from 7-10$ and all the portions here are so small! Maybe if I returned I would try a larger food item. Parking wasn't difficult, mainly metered street parking typical in downtown.
AMAZING coffee. Juice was more blended than juiced. But the menu looks good in terms of combinations. Staff needs to be educated on allergies. I told them I had a dairy allergy and if the syrups were dairy free. They had the bottle in hand and still asked how would they know. Very simple and easy education. I’ve worked in food before and that should be training videos. Nothing against the People just working. That’s a management issue.

I got the choco shake $11 (with tip) and confirm two times with barista that no sugar is in the shake. I got the shake and it's unmistakable it had lots of sweet from sugar. The sugar is hidden somewhere in the sub ingredients. This is an overpriced venue compared to the quality that is served. The ambiance is nice and relaxed. Service is mediocre.
I found a metal machine nut in my acai bowl.. so that wasn't great. Hope they are practicing proper machine maintainence. The bowl itself tasted ok. Not a lot of sugar, which is great, but it was quite watery. My girlfriend's smoothie was also just ok. The panini sandwich we shared was interesting, probably the best part of the whole meal. Super thin and crunchy bread. It's all pretty pricey for the size of each item. I was refunded considering what I found in my bowl though. Gave it two stars because I'm sure once you know what to expect this place can meet your needs, but it's not your typical Jamba Juice spinoff (which is a good thing). I won't be going back due to my bad experience but if you're looking for something less sweet and "different" or fancy, and are willing to risk your teeth, go for it!
Very nice interior design. Unexceptional, overpriced hot chocolate. Slow, boring music turned up way too loud. Staff unhappy to see customers. Well, I've tried it. No need to come back.
Nice interior. The egg with toast was small and thin and cost 8 bucks. The energy shake 12oz cost 7 bucks.

I wanted to like this place since it's spacious and a lot of potential, but whenever I stopped by, most tables and floor were not clean although there were enough staff in the counter. And today, I ordered a small cup of coffee (8oz) and was told it's $5.25. I tried to confirm the girl at the counter I didn't order a large cup then she said that's the correct price for a small cup. Totally overpriced.

As I was biting into my tunacado, I found a pink purple hair strand. I gagged! This is totally unacceptable and yuck! That means the whole batch of tunacado is contaminated for that day. They don’t even have a phone number I can call. And it took them forever to prepare the sandwich. The girl making the sandwiches was moving like a sloth. The customers before me were complaining. It took her 25 minutes to make a sandwich that was contaminated. Never again!!!
We like Joe & The Juice but the service in this branch has degraded significantly since a few months ago. I wonder if this is because of a management change or short staffing… An online order at least takes half hour and the sandwiches are cold and dry. You are good to lose your regular customers if you don’t make any changes
You know, I never have been more disappointed in how poorly a business could be set up in regard to customer service, REACHING back out to THE CUSTOMER having an issue and completely just disregarding even trying to resolve the issue. I underwent ACL Reconstructive surgery May 9th less than a week after my surgery I asked a friend of mine if he could pick up a Lavender Matcha Latte for me and he got a cold brew for himself. First and foremost, my latte had absolutely NO lavender in my latte and was placed in a hot coffee cup despite this being an Iced beverage. Key word Iced. My friend of mine got a “so called cold brew” which he witnessed the employee literally take water and an espresso shot and dumped it into a cup for him. That IS NOT a cold brew. That is a Americano. You shouldn’t be running a business that doesn’t know the difference between coffees and how they’re made. ESPECIALLY because he was charged for A lavender matcha latte and & cold brew. So you just profited more money off my friend than the service he paid for? That is ridiculous. I reached out immediately to their “customer service team” they STILL till this day have not gotten back to me. How poor of a company can you be? What makes this situation worse IS THAT I Mentioned IN my email that I JUST underwent SURGERY so I literally cannot physically drive nor walk there. Never giving this company my money again.
It's horrible experience. Today, our group ( more than 10ppl ) ordered food through DoorDash. ( each person ordered their own food ) The delivered food didn't have any name one it, so it was chaos. And, there were even not delivered food. I ordered a sandwich + a banana bread ( actually, I didn't get my sandwich either, so I ate a left over pizza ). There wasn't any banana bread. One of my peers ordered a brownie. It was also missing. maybe they might have missed some food. how can they just totally missed putting name on each food's package. It's NOT acceptable for a group order.
I ordered an almond milk latte and instead was given a milk based latte which I only found out after I had already left and tried it. For people with allergies and intolerances that’s not okay. Plus I paid extra for the almond milk and instead was given a drink I’m unable to consume. Won’t be visiting this location again
It was really bad service, the app allows me to order and pay for the omelette, but when I get there to pick up the staff told me it’s run out of order. I followed their instructions to request for a refund but never heard back. I have emailed, messaged in the app and submitted request from your website but no response at all.
Seriously bad health and safety issues! Not only were they eating another place's acai bowl (not a good look when you won't even eat your own job's food) while they were taking orders (mouth full), but they were touching their face and wiping their noses before touching our food and drinks, no gloves! They also were seriously rude and uncaring when I said to wash the blender better due to my avocado allergy, they refused! And used old avocados in my boyfriend's drink, threw the whole thing away after 2 sips. The girls just only talked to themselves, not even looking at us when we ordered?! Just took our order and walked away!?The seats were stained and gross too! So awful this place, and for the EXTREME over pricing too? Never go here.
Terrible customer service. The young man who took my order misunderstood my request to substitute cheese and tomatoes for avocados and declined my request, when I said they always do it for me he loudly told his colleague “she wants her avocados for free” to which I replied that I didn’t ask for anything to be free!! I just can’t have the cheese and want you to remove it. They finally agreed to make the substitution while still confirming that I understood it wasn’t free “ok we’ll do it but we’re charging you”. I don’t understand why they assume a customer willing to pay $40 for sandwiches and smoothies would want free avocados!! Never going to that place again.
I must agree with other reviews. The employees i have interacted with during 2 visits had zero customer service skills. Never even say thank you. May as well have robots serving you because that's what it feels like. Zero desire to return.
Place is nice and cozy. But just today while I’m about to end my meeting with a bussiness partner their music suddenly got too loud, when we asked to lower it down the crew told us that they’re close already(with a tone). So regardless if you’re talking to people if they’re closed they wont mind you and do whatever they want to do.
I would like to start with I will not be returning to Joe and the juice after my less than average experience. 1. The cashier was nice but the barista was rude and I basically had to make my coffee myself. 2. I got a cup of cold brew and had asked them to put vanilla almond milk in it. I'm handed a full cup of coffee (no space for milk) and a carton of milk.. excuse me? 3. The sandwhich I ordered. The avocado. The pesto was barely there if at all. The bread was far to hard. The avocado was not ripe enough to be eaten! And it was cold. 4. Everything is extremely overpriced for the quality. All in all a bad experience.
The worst customer service by far. These employee AWAYS seem angry and rude. I walk out it was so bad. I stood there waiting over 5 minutes and no one said they’ll be with me or anything they just ignored me. It was a young short man. Please avoid this pibe at all cost. A total disappointment. I will be letting all my friends and neighbors from Burlingame know this
Just had magic blues and to be honest, was the worst I ever had in my life experience in Joe the juice, I go to different locations but this time I am planning to not go back, it Literally feels like blue ice water. I definitely do not recommend this location
Who owns this place?! Customer service is ATROCIOUS. Drinks are tiny, food is subpar. Don't get the fresh juice, see pic. While I'm ordering, the gal picks up her phone, and guess what she didn't get my order correct. Instead of fixing it, she tells me she'll charge me for the correct size. You need to fire the entire staff. LAZY. When we walked in, the cashier was sitting on the counter on her phone (pic) The bathroom needs attention, and not just napkins tossed in there and soap should be put into the dispensers. They're all loudly complaining about customers after they've ordered as they sit inside. For as much as this place charges per item, it'd be great to have employees that put in some effort. They can't even be bothered to label your groups items, allergies be damned. You should be MORTIFIED with how your staff treats the customers. We will not be coming back.
The food was fantastic, but don't expect friendly service here. We returned for a second mobile pickup, and even though the staff saw us and made eye contact while chatting amongst themselves, they didn’t bother to greet us—almost as if we weren’t customers. I’m not trying to be demanding, but as someone who works in customer service, I’d suggest that the store could really benefit from improving its customer service. Just a friendly piece of advice.
For the high prices both the quality and the quantity are pretty disappointing, and had several lackluster customer service experiences here. It's not "bad", and I've been to locations in Switzerland and Iceland that seemed better, but this place just seems to be trying too hard to fit an aesthetic and failing to deliver basic value. They are everywhere though so apparently I'm in the minority on this.

I bought a 10-drink package over the Black Friday promotion last year thinking I could spend them in this store. And guess what, they been remodeling all year long and without me realizing it had expired and the customer service refused to refund me. What a scam! Basically they get your money and then reduce the availability of the service. I hope Joe and Juice run out of business. So unethical.
Service was subpar and everything is insanely overpriced. The entire store is just dirty as well. Seems like they just have lazy employees. The one thing that realllllyyy irked me was how insanely loud the music was through the cafe. Loud, bass centers rap music so distracting everyone kind of started looking around like…”is this for real”….wanted to have a nice afternoon reading and drinking my coffee but couldn’t concentrate over the painfully loud music.
This is a honest review. The staff are very rude and the food is atrociously small for the money that's charged. I want to bring to attention that the boy cut haircut person who took our order at 6.35pm on Feb 28th was just completely rude and irritated when talking the order. Made a really bad sandwich that was tasteless.. They definitely need some training. One 1 star for the interior.
If I could give this zero stars I would. I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 juices. I asked for the sandwiches to be without pesto due to my severe nut allergy - which I told the employee about as well. She said there would be “no cross-contamination.” Upon opening my sandwich, I saw pesto on the bread. Good thing I opened it to double-check before I took a bite. This could have resulted in a trip to the hospital. Not to mention, my partner and I were the only customers in the store that morning - yet, it took 20 minutes for their FIVE employees to make such a simple order. Likewise, for paying $10 for a drink, the portion is awfully small. I spent $50 in total for two mediocre tasting drinks and a sandwich that could have killed me. Their employees need to understand what a nut allergy is and receive better training on etiquette. Never coming here again!
