We offer both delivery and onsite services and strive to be accessible to everyone, with wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, restrooms, and seating. Such a cute little gem in the heart of downtown Calistoga! We walked into Picayune on a whim, and they welcomed us in without hesitation. It instantly felt warm, relaxed, and inviting the perfect casual yet charming spot to enjoy a wine tasting right in town. What makes this place even more special is that it’s also a retail shop filled with fun and unique finds. You can sip great wine while browsing thoughtfully curated items, which makes the whole experience feel different from your typical tasting room. Our wine educator, Gera, was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the tasting both educational and genuinely fun. He took the time to explain the wines in a way that felt approachable and personal, which really elevated the experience. It didn’t feel scripted it felt authentic and tailored to us. As locals, we’re always excited to find spots we’d confidently recommend, and this is definitely one of them. Whether you’re visiting or live nearby, Picayune is a must stop for great wine, a welcoming atmosphere, and a memorable experience.
Words cannot express how much I enjoyed my visit to Picayune! This was my second visit to the Calistoga area (which I highly recommend if visiting Napa) and I hadn’t visited any wineries that weren’t also a vineyard, so I was a bit hesitant. But Picayune was such a lovely experience! We were greeted by Jayne Marie, and she hosted us through a lovely wine tasting and food pairing. I didn’t realize at the time of booking that Picayune makes their own wines by purchasing grapes by local vineyards. Claire, the winemaker, is originally from France, and although it was her day off, she was in the store and stopped by to say hi to each table and shared more about her love for wine, and what inspired each varietal. We loved the Gatekeeper and the Origin, and both were our favorite red and white of the trip. This was such a unique experience (they even had a printed menu with our names on it!) and it was fairly priced. I would HIGHLY recommend. We absolutely will visit again on our next trip, and I anticipate we will order wines to our home in Missouri until we are able to visit again! I attended the harvest dinner at Picayune and it was amazing! The food was delicious & the staff was knowledgeable & welcoming. I am a local to Calistoga and I recommend Picayune to all of my friends and family.
Love this Winemaker and her wines! Delicious refreshing down to earth. They have a cute shop too attached. Delicious cheese plate! Yummy crackers. Left with 3 bottles! Buy 3 bottles get one tasting waived.
Picayune in Calistoga is a wonderful place to experience... we love everything about this artsy French inspired shop... start with a glass of Rose wine and shop their beautiful jewelry, gifts, scarves, purses, cook books, Pendleton blankets, and eclectic finds. Stay for a wine tasting of lovely rose, Sauvignon Blanc, red blends, Pinot, Cabernet. Meet wonderful people, special pop-up dinners, and go on amazing wine club trips to France, Croatia, Argentina, etc. Claire the owner is creative and inventive. And her dream team of Carly, Jayne Marie, Ruth, etc... are all so amazing. A local favorite and great place for visitors.

Wines are wonderful, but the service we received from Geta was a real standout. So much fun and so knowledgeable about the wines, the art, and the intention behind what they serve. Would recommend, just a delightful afternoon!
Such a great place to visit! You walk into the cute shop and there is a lot of classy merchandise. We tasted several very delicious wines and had some food to go with it. Their bistro plate was a mix of many different high end small bites and it was AMAZING. If you’re in Calistoga I highly recommend you visit!!
I recently became a member of Picayune. I have been a member and am a member of several different wineries. Picayune is by far one of the most charming of them all. This place has personality as soon as you walk in the door. You are immediately drawn to the merchandise but before you know it they are offering you a taste of one of their delicious bubbles or red blends or cabs. I enjoy tasting and browsing all the merch and then chatting it up with one of their warm and very friendly staff.
This is one of the most friendly and unique spots in wine country. We have been fans of Picayune for years and adore the owner and staff. Their wine portfolio has something for everyone and never disappoints - outstanding wines and a great value as well. Must visit!
I have purchased some scarves from Picayune and love them so much! They are authentic, in great condition and arrived swiftly after purchase. The customer service here is amazing! 10/10 recommend for my fellow Hermes scarf lovers.

The wine is incredible, the service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the shop is filled with beautiful, high-quality merchandise. A perfect stop for great wine, lovely atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. 🍷
Picayune is one of my favorite spots in Calistoga. I am a big fan of bubbles and of course Champagne. Claire makes some beautiful champagne over in France. I love the complexity and elegance. Truly one of my favorites and right in the middle of Calistoga!

It’s a place where topnotch wine meets genuine hospitality. Who doesn't love wine tasting and shopping at the same time?? The best part is the variety of outstanding wines. Both the Napa and Sonoma Pinots are lovely. The Gatekeeper (love a great GSM blend) never disappoints. Finally, their Albariño is one of our favorite whites, wonderful alone or with seafood - refreshing, crisp, and aromatic. Picayune delivers a great experience and great wine across the board. Good vibes all around!

The experience they are able to add to our visits are always filled with expertise, great wines and merchandise along with truly amazing customer service. The addition of Chef Ben who brings wonderful food and Picayune wine pairings together in a beautiful presentation is the latest must do for a sumptuous lunch experience. Love the entire team, with extreme appreciation of Claire and Carly for their attention to detail. Look forward to another 12 years making memories at Picayune! E&D

The wines are all fantastic and they even make their own champagne! The staff go above and beyond to make each visit special. They also have a great boutique. Every visit we seem to find fun gifts for friends, family and ourselves. Picayune gives you a great opportunity to experience exceptional wines and explore downtown Calistoga. Picayune is well worth a visit. Don't miss out!

I can always find a unique gift or something special for my home or closet. Claire has crafted amazing wines and tastings are conducted by staff that is very knowledgeable and fun!

I’ve been a member of Picayune for many years. I love the wines! Claire has done an amazing job of creating incredible wines and a fabulous tasting experience in Calistoga. She’s also sourced wonderful merchandise that is very unique - offering a large variety of items not found in other stores let alone ‘tasting rooms’. Bravo to Claire and all of the Picayune staff.
Brought friends from Scotland to Calistoga and stopped in the shop. My friend saw a hat that she liked. We asked the gentleman there for price info. He asked the manager (owner?) who snapped back a price. When my friend asked what the hat was made from, she snapped out the word leather. The hat was too small and my friend asked about a larger size, so the gentleman trying to help us again asked the manager. The lady checked in the back and then called out to the guy helping us that there were no more. We left, but my friend really liked the hat and went back to get more information about it, but the lady was so rude to her. That woman could have offered to check with her distributor, or helped her some other way. My friend was willing to drop $200 on the hat and had it stretched, but definitely not buying anything from this store after the lack of friendliness or help.
