First time, at TRUSS, great experience. Chloe was attentive and gave us good recommendations for lunch. We had the Roasted Chicken Sandwich (loved the pepper jam) and truffle fries. The house sauce is delicious! Looking forward to coming back for drinks at the bar and trying the rest of the menu.
I’ve had chilaquiles in Mexico more times than I can count and they’re always delicious. But these were just outstanding! Very flavorful and a little spicy; I think maybe those red rings are thinly-sliced habanero peppers? Just a delight to both eyes and tongue. My daughter had the cream cheese-berry compote French toast. Berries were both plump blueberries and sweet, ripe blackberries. And we shared a grapefruit brûlée to try it. Note, it’s not grapefruit crème brûlée, it’s grapefruit brûlée — a ruby red grapefruit half (pre-sectioned for your convenience) topped with caramelized sugar. Muah! Chef’s kiss. We are staying at the Four Seasons so also had opportunity to enjoy a a light lunch and cocktails. Charcuterie and cheese boards alongside the holiday cocktail specials, Santa’s Little Helper and Pumpkin Pie Old Fashioned. Highly recommend!
Lovely dining experience with a great view! The service ensured that we were well taken care of, going beyond expected. The kale salad and onion dip were great starters followed by the salmon, pesto pizza, and mushroom bucatini, all of which were great. Might seem like a limited menu, but options are great.
The food and service at Truss are truly exceptional, especially in the post-covid climate of short-staffed restaurants. I have dined at Truss three times and each visit exceeded expectations and kept me coming back for more. The wine list is obviously fantastic, but the cocktails are really special, the best I have had since moving to wine country from Nashville. The menu has a great variety of items perfect for a fancy date night or casual pizza at the bar. I have tried all three pizzas and they were all amazing! I have actually sampled ~60% of the menu and each item has been wonderful. Justin and his team always provide phenomenal service with attention to detail and the perfect balance of friendly conversation. Truss is a true gem and not to be missed whether you are local or visiting wine country.
One the best overall dining experiences despite the post covid climate really lowering the bar for the industry. The Truss staff not only were attentive and considerate, but also provided excellent reccomendations and direction on their offerings for both food and beverage. As a seasoned professional working in the design of both hospitality and entertainment industries this restaurant stood out. This is a beautifully designed and curated space filled with great people. Our sincerest compliments to the kitchen and bar staff. If you visit here you have to try the salmon, it is a testament to the commitment to culinary quality and to excellence of this establishment, flavourful and exquisite in texture it leaves nothing to be desired. Doesn't hurt that they make a mean espresso too.
Best lunch ever! This was the best experience in my life, everything was so perfect like a fairytale. The service, cleaning, organization, decorations and the last but not the least “the food taste” you can taste every single flavor separately in one tablespoon. In my next visit I won’t doubt to eat again in this delicious restaurant!!!
Beautiful property with handsome vista's surrounding the property. Upscale features in architecture, service, bathrooms, with trendy features. Pricey cocktail menu, amazing "smokey" presentation of the devil went down to Georgia cocktail. Surprisingly inexpensive entrees... Best to buy all of the menu items and share it "family style" to get a blend of "tasters menu" effect.
Nice restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel. Parking is down by the winery, and you walk up a set of stairs to get to the restaurant. Very attentive and friendly service from everyone. Bright, spacious, modern interior with large windows and a nice view outside. The sausage pizza, chips with French onion dip, and brussel sprouts were all delicious. We also ordered some coffee afterwards to help us ease out of all the food we ate. I'd recommend stopping by for a bite in the Calistoga area.
Truss and Believe 😍 • We are staying at the BEAUTIFUL Four Seasons Napa Valley and caught lunch at their restaurant Truss. Highly recommend everything we have tried over the past week but I’ll narrow down some for this post 🤭. From the views overlooking the TWO pools to the villas scattered amongst actual grape vines, everything was perfection. For bites, we got the Salmon, Truffle Fries, Tuna Crudo & Mezzi Rigatoni. Chefs kiss on everything ordered 🤌🏻 But we can’t forget about the cocktails, riiiight?! We chose Pick Me Up (tweak espressotini), Fennel Wears Prada, Smokey the Pear and Spring is Here. All superb and full of flavor 😋 • If you ever get a chance to come to Napa Valley and stay at the Four Seasons Calistoga, don’t skip out on Truss. Truss and Believe me, you won’t regret any choice here 😍
We were invited by friends for dinner. We started with drinks. My wife had a Cosmo that she enjoyed. I had a local hard to find draft beer. We started with a shared onion dip that was very light and tasty, served with delicious potato chips. Worth a try. Our friend and I had the burrata heirloom tomato salad, especially good with added stone fruit. My wife had the corn soup which was delicious, definitely fresh and seasonal. For dinner my wife and friend had the cheeseburger which they rated as one of the best they every had. I had the Maitake mushroom pizza which I substituted tomato sauce rather than the creme sauce. Everything was wonderful about the Pizza. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. A great evening for sure. This the less formal restaurant at the Four seasons so it was relaxed and mellow, no uptight fancy restaurant restrictions. We will be back.
I dined at Truss minutes after arriving in Napa for the first time. The food, service, and ambience are top-notch. I fell in love with the Elusa Cabernet at the recommendation of my server.
The restaurant was absolutely delicious. I had both dinner and breakfast there, and everything was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. I especially loved the burrata salad and the pasta both were exceptional. Thank you for thoughtfully finding a non-alcoholic wine option for me. I truly appreciated that attention and care.
Had an amazing meal at TRUSS Restaurant + Bar. The onion dip was deliciously fluffy and paired perfectly with the housemade chips—honestly hard to stop eating. The Wagyu burger was humongous, juicy, and cooked to perfection. We also loved the Restaurant Month special, such a great value. Pro tip: get the turkey club—it’s a standout. The views are beautiful, and ending the meal with a cappuccino and tiramisu was the perfect finishing touch. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to return. ☕🍔✨
If you hear TRUSS has the best burgers, believe them. From the vin to the double beef patty and the fixings, just delicious! And the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup is amazing!. I will be back for lunch brunch and dinner!
This place is a must. Food was delicious and drinks were yummy. Staff is supreme here, friendly, courteous and attentive. I went during lunch and am excited to go back again for dinner.
Incredible restaurant with absolutely amazing food. Everything was beyond delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Highly recommend, definitely coming back again
Karlo took care of us and was very attentive and fun! My husband really enjoyed the octopus he ordered and my brother-in-law loved his squash-blossom pizza. The olive sourdough, side of polenta, and cocktails were my favorite things. Would definitely return when I'm in the area!
Food, service and atmosphere was incredible. The managers Sarah and Brennan were fantastic as well as our server Luke. Highly recommend the hamachi crudo, lobster linguini and New York steak.
We had a great breakfast experience every day that we stayed at the Four Seasons Napa Valley. Claudia, who is a waitress there really may be stay very enjoyable and personable, she created such a happy environment and greeted us every day. Made it feel like home!
came here for meals while staying at four seasons. their rigatoni slaps — got them to split the portion in half for each of us but it was so good we had it two days in a row. oysters, pizza and truffle fries were great too. they did a great job on everything
Alexis was out waitress, she was absolutely amazing ! The way she cared for how I felt about a drink I didn’t like, how she ask how she can improve on made me feel so validated. I appreciate that so much ! Sarah came to welcome us at our table ! Had great views ! I recommend Truss highly ! You will absolutely love the food, drinks and service !
We had a lovely late lunch at Truss today! We chose to sit outside and were thankful the staff provided a table with shade. The space is so beautiful inside and out, but we prefer outside when we can. We ordered Parmesan truffle fries for the table, and they were so delicious. Beware: the portion is huge! Two of us ate what felt like a ton and barely ate half of the order. Definitely enough to share. I ordered the rigatoni dish but GF, so it was spaghetti style noodles. My friend ordered the steak sandwich. Everything tasted delicious, and we're excited to see what else this beautiful property has in store for us!
Late Dec2024 One of two main dining establishments at the Four Seasons in Calistoga and is the principal outlet for staying guest. Our dinner dining experience features Napa Valley cuisine and drinks with ingredients mainly regionally sourced. The dishes were fusion representations of a number of classic European and American dishes with seasonal components. The menu is varied but easily navigated whether you are looking for a light or heavy repast. The servers are very well informed, helpful and attentive as expected of the Four Seasons brand. The bistro interiors are modern, warm, and comfortable with high vaulted ceilings and a spacious layout that provides a balanced privacy as well as a communal feel. Our first proper meal during our arrival at Napa Valley was indeed a satisfying one.
We came here for a birthday lunch. The service was really and truly awesome. All the food tasted wonderful but the Trout was undoubtedly my favorite thing there. The Poached Pear Sorbet was also super good, the chocolate bar however (for me and my girlfriend) was very rich. We did finish it but towards the end of it, it became a little difficult. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the look of the place and the views themselves are also very easy on the eyes and great to look at. Overall really enjoyed the experience here and I hope that next time I come the experience is just as great. My only thing is that, I wish the portions were a little bigger when we did get home, we all ate food that was in the fridge or got something on the way back. The restaurant did leave me satisfied with the food and experience but not full.

We stopped in for happy hour, sitting at the bar. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to share fun details about the space, including a giant chocolate Christmas ornament decoration valued at over $5K which really showed the level of creativity and care that goes into this world class experience. The service was exceptional without feeling overbearing, and everything we ordered was delicious — all of the appetizers were beautifully prepared and perfect for sharing. The soft lighting, comfortable bar seating, and overall atmosphere made it an ideal place to relax and socialize. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into both the ambiance and the guest experience. Would absolutely return and highly recommend stopping by, especially for happy hour.

Honestly, somewhat forgettable compared to other places in Calistoga. This place has very little character, unless the absurdly priced drink list is supposed to make up for character. The food was fine. I thought the oysters were very fresh and the special lobster pasta was a delight. The pizza was meh and the truffle fries were too oily and too soggy. Listen, this isn't the kind of thing I'd complain about but this place has some kind of pretentions at class and greatness so I'm being totally fair. The service was okay - our waitress actually kept disappearing which was amusing since the place was mostly empty on a Monday night so it's not like she was busy serving many other tables. I enjoyed the view and the very comfy chairs. But will I remember that this place is here next time I'm in town or will I just go back to SolBar? Hmm... You do the math.
Nothing was BAD about Truss... apart from the drink prices. $18 for a cocktail is inexcusable even for the Bay Area, and the half-bottle wine list didn't have a single option under $50 - stupid for anywhere in Napa but also encouraging alcoholism. Reds by the glass were also $20 - $65+. All this meant that I started my celebratory meal with a bad taste in my mouth. The food was fine, but the menu was very limited and there was no sense of identity beyond "trendy ingredients put together." We enjoyed the kale&mushroom flatbread (needed twice as much egg but we took care of that with the leftovers.) Truffle fries came with a really weird tomato aioli that overwhelmed the truffle. Oysters were good but overpriced, and the apple crumble was really dry (or not enough ice cream) The special - a lobster bucatini - was definitely the most interesting thing we ate, but not a normal menu item. So yeah, nothing was BAD, but if you're in Calistoga literally every other restaurant is more interesting.
My husband and I went there for my husband’s birthday. It was a nice restaurant, with a nice view and servers were nice. The food was ok. It wasn’t out of this world, but it tasted just fine. The prices are also a bit high for the quality of what you’re getting. I guess I just had higher expectations.
Unfortunately, we sat outside and the weather was not favorable. I believe it was about 103 degrees, we should have sat indoors. My view of a dead oak tree was not what I wanted to see on our special birthday celebration especially spending $$$$. Make sure you review the weather temperature before sitting outside and that there are enough umbrellas at your table. Our server was awesome and we enjoyed her sense of humor
Very satisfied - great views inside or out, plenty of parking and hostess was very welcoming - we started with the hamachi which was great & sticky ribs, which were average - For the main course we shared the burrata salad which was very good & the scallops which were perfectly prepared - Felt like the kitchen was backed up since food was slow coming out however our server Cindy was excellent

Overall nice place. Dinner service definitely better than breakfast. Thanks to pastry team for making me a cookie for desert.

We had lunch here on a Wednesday after a spa visit. Service is very good. The view is nice...especially when they opened the folding doors. Food is good. My husband really liked the calistoga bowl. I thought the margherita pizza was just okay...the crust was really soggy. The pavlova dessert was tasty...really good except for the bitter tasting fruit underneath. Would definitely recommend for a nice lunch option.

NOV 22 was in Calistoga for a lil getaway and Truss seemed like the spot for an early evening dinner. It’s located in the new Four Seasons Resort which is an amazing property. Valet parking was excellent and necessary as the restaurant is high above the property. We were seated on time 7:30om near a window and promptly greeted within the “Living Room” which essentially was a fancy hotel dining room-glass walls to the west and a small bar on the south. The kitchen, visible behind large glass panels, was bustling even though only six tables were occupied. The same kitchen serves room services and there was an event downstairs we were told. We ordered oysters, sparkling wine and sourdough to start. Food was well presented and tasty. Oysters especially so. Condiments arrived in tiny manufacture bottles upon a plate much like room service-sort of gave the presentation a cheap feel but worked nonetheless. After filling our bellies with oysters and bread we turned to a smash burger with craft made pickles American cheese and onions. I would’ve preferred an In n Out burger honestly. The truffles fries were super salty and if you like truffle potatoes-try Torres Black Truffle potato chips-better and a lot less $. The rest of the menu included a few salads, a few pizza and a few dinner items-fish, chicken Wagyu AU Beef. Overall the menu was limited. A crowd of folks arrived during dinner-a group of about 15 people and the room became very noisy. Difficult to hear a table conversation. Staff were attentive altho as it got busier attention to service declined and we had to request a couple condiments twice. The hostess helped keep our water glasses topped off. Restrooms were outside near the picturisque and quite lovely roof top area. With so many delicious dining experiences nearby we were overall meh on our dining experience at Truss. Pricing wasn’t god awful but I was distracted by the Four Season property name only to receive 3 star selection and taste.
Sadly the expectation of the four seasons was not there. We rented the winter chalet and when we arrive at our chalet the fire wasn’t lit and there was burnt marshmallow all over our fireplace. I would expect higher standards from the four seasons. The food was good and the service was great but when I’m spending $ to rent the little space it should be cleaned and inviting

Beautiful atmosphere, but service and coordination were a major letdown. We visited Truss with a party of six for New Year’s Eve, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. While the atmosphere was great, the food was merely mediocre and did not live up to the price point or the property's reputation. The service, specifically from our server Jeff, was lackluster. In a glaring lack of timing, dessert was served to the table while I was still finishing my main course. The most frustrating part was the lack of local knowledge. We were attending the Four Seasons NYE soiree afterward and asked multiple staff members for the location. No one knew where it was; some even told us it was far and that we’d need a car in the rain. Jeff seemed confused by our request for a car and forwarded us to the host stand, where we waited 15 minutes with no update. We finally looked for it ourselves, only to find the venue was directly across the courtyard within walking distance. I sent this feedback via DM a week ago and have yet to receive a response. For a Four Seasons property, the lack of communication and basic service standards was unacceptable.

Deeply Disappointing Experience at the Four Seasons Napa Restaurant – A Shadow Over a Brand We Loved We’ve stayed at Four Seasons Napa multiple times — in fact, we were just there a month ago for a weekend getaway and came back again, trusting the consistently high standards of the brand. Sadly, this recent visit left us truly disappointed, all because of one experience at the hotel’s only restaurant. We had a brunch reservation for four and started with appetizers and Espresso Martinis. The glasses were unusually small — definitely not what you’d expect for this cocktail — and after just a few sips, all four of us agreed that the drinks were simply terrible. They were overly sweet, weak in both alcohol and coffee flavor, and tasted more like melted ice than a proper cocktail. When our server checked in, I politely expressed my surprise and said the drink didn’t resemble the ones we’ve had here before. She was kind and apologetic and offered to have them remade. We accepted. Shortly after, we saw the manager step in, change the bartender, and prepare the new drinks himself. The second round was much better, and we appreciated the effort. However, when the check arrived, the original cocktails were still included. I politely asked about it, and the server responded, “Well, you drank it.” I asked to speak to the manager, and that’s when things took a truly disappointing turn. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, the manager doubled down and told us he had to charge for anything that had been consumed. He gave us a forced smile and a tone that clearly implied we were trying to get a free drink. It was patronizing and insulting — not to mention completely out of line with the Four Seasons philosophy. This was not about the money. It was about being treated with respect, and feeling like our long-standing loyalty to the brand meant something. Instead, we were left with the impression that our integrity was being questioned — over a $20 cocktail that was objectively bad and replaced by their own initiative. We’ve recommended Four Seasons Napa to countless friends and family. But after this experience, it’s hard to say we’ll be back. It’s honestly painful to write this, but it’s even more painful to have felt so unwelcome at a place that once felt like a favorite.
We stayed at the hotel and came there for dinner. But unfortunately, the restaurant was a huge disappointment. I was honestly surprised that a Four Seasons could have such a poor-quality restaurant. The kids’ hamburgers were burnt to the ground and looked worse than at McDonald’s — though they cost four or five times more, of course. The kids didn’t even touch them. I ordered the chicken as my main dish, but it was way too spicy to eat, and my husband ended up sharing his filet mignon with the kids because it was the only good dish at the table. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he simply said he was sorry — and that was it. We still paid full price and left the gratuity, though I’m not sure why…
